2007 Larrivaux, Haut-Médoc
Top Pick!
At well under $30, this is one of those wines that people will be buying by the case all summer long. Why? Well, with its new-world ripeness of red plum, black raspberry and licorice ropes this is totally crowd pleasing. Drink now and often.

96 points Wine Enthusiast: "From the winery’s Phinny Hill vineyard, the Columbia Rediviva is 48% Cabernet Sauvignon and 52% Syrah. Complex and satiny, it’s a riveting wine, inky and bursting with a sensuous mix of berry, cassis, mocha, loam, cinnamon and spice. Tremendous density and depth; despite its youth the wine curls around the tongue like thick smoke, showing more and more detail. *Cellar Selection* (PG)" (05/2011) 94 points Jeb Dunnuck: "A smoking good wine, the 2007 Buty Columbia Rediviva Phinny Hill Vineyard, a blend of 52% Syrah and 48% Cab...

2007 Malescasse, Haut-Médoc (1.5L)
Top Pick!
Château Malescasse is an historic property ideally situated on gravel soils close to the Gironde River just north of Margaux. While it is true that 2007 will never have the power or authority of the finest vintages of the decade, the best wines display a remarkable ripeness and an admirable richness of texture. These are medium to full-bodied reds with soft tannins that will make great near to medium-term drinking. They are priced appropriately and many, like this 2007 Malescasse, offer exceptional value.

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Red Wine is composed of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, with the balance Cabernet Franc and Malbec. As always, it is a great value offering a fragrant, already complex nose of confiture of black fruits, incense, and Asian spices. On the palate it is savory and elegant with a plush texture. It is likely to evolve for several years but there is no compelling reason to defer gratification. Quilceda Creek remains Washington’s benchmark for world-class Cabernet Sauvignon. 91 points Robert Parker: "A strong effort in this vintage, the evolved, perfumed, purple-tinged 2007 Cheval Blanc offers complex aromas of menthol, cedarwood, mulberries, and black currants. Medium-bodied with beautiful fruit, sweet tannin, and a heady finish, this lovely wine should drink well for 10-15 years." (04/10) 89-92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good ruby-red. Pure nose offers blackberry, violet, licorice and bitter chocolate. Supple and sweet, with nicely integrated acidity that's in harmony with the wine's silky texture...

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Frontier Justice Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard (97% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot) exhibits that Graves-like character of smoked meats, roasted herbs, burning embers, and charcoal intermixed with dense blueberry and currant fruit, admirable richness, huge tannins, and a big, beefy, full-bodied, powerful style. Give it at least 5 years of bottle age, and given its high percentage of Cabernet Franc, it should age in a fascinating manner. I can’t wait to see how it turns out in 5-7 ...

99 points Wine Enthusiast: "The 2007 Ornellaia is a masterpiece blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and a tiny element of Petit Verdot. The intensity and purity are outstanding and the wine delivers beautiful notes of chocolate, black cherry, leather, cedar and spice. It's a big, modern expression that closes long with luscious softness and opulent fruit. Hold 10 years or more. *Top 100 of 2011, Cellar Selection* " (12/2010) 98 points James Suckling: "This has fascinating aromas of seaweed, oak, iodine, rosemary, and currants. A subtle ...

2007 Trefethen "Reserve" Oak Knoll District Cabernet Sauvignon
Back In Stock!
From the winery: "Simply put, it’s luxury in a glass. Boasting dense, magnificently concentrated blackcurrant, dark cherry and boysenberry fruit aromas mingled with seductive dark chocolate, sage, leather and sweet vanilla scents, the wine’s intense cassis, black cherry and blackberry flavors explode on the palate, segueing into a deliciously long, savory and decadent, chocolate-filled finish. The eager will drink it now; the wise will sequester it for a decade or more."
Price: $79.99

100 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet colored with a lingering hint of purple, the 2007 Insignia Proprietary Red Wine reveals the most seductive crème de cassis, Black Forest cake and licorice notions with touches of violets, eucalyptus, chocolate box and unsmoked cigars plus a waft of cedar chest. Full-bodied with tantalizing opulence yet compelling restraint, the palate beautifully juxtaposes the rich, ripe fruit with wonderful freshness and a firm yet plush backbone, finishing beautifully perfumed. (LPB)" (08/2018) 96 points Vinous:...

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Both of these Cabernet Sauvignons are soft, elegant, dark ruby/plum/garnet-colored, evolved, medium-bodied efforts with attractive notes of spice, earth, red and black currants intermixed with herbs and background oak... Heidi Barrett is the consulting winemaker and the well-known Jim Barbour is the viticultural manager. Both are identical blends of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. (RP)" (12/2010) Wine Spectator: "Rich and layered, aging nicely, with dark berry, mocha, tea, sage and licorice...

90 points Wine Enthusiast: "From 2009, Labégorce-Zédé will no longer exist, being amalgamated with Château Labégorce-Margaux. So this 2007 is one of the last vintages. The wine has solid but lively black fruits, the tannins dark, firm and full of blackberry juice flavors with a touch of cranberry dryness. It is definitely for aging. (RV)" (06/2010) Wine Spectator: "Delicate aromas of currant and flowers follow through to a medium body, with fine tannins and an aftertaste of licorice and delicate berry. Fresh and elegant. Cain makes some of the most classically styled and age-worthy red wines in California. They are not bawdy, voluptuous wines, but wines of grace and class. The 2007 Cain "Five" is the perfect example of this. From an incredible vintage where a lot of winemakers made flashy wines, this blend of 68% Cabernet, 16% Merlot, 6% Malbec, 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc shows remarkable restraint. Made entirely from fruit grown in the Cain Vineyard, the "Five" is balanced and rich, but still intense. It will benefit from aging five to seven years, and even u...

91 points Wine Enthusiast: "Very similar to the 2006, Kameron's '07 Bordeaux blend, which is based on Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, is upfront in blackberry, cherry, cassis, oak and spice flavors. It's quite tannic, with a puckery astringency that suggests needed time in the cellar. *Cellar Selection*" (08/2011)

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Spottswoode "Family Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 94DC, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet colored with a lingering hint of purple, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon comes sashaying out of the glass with provocative notions of warm cassis, blueberry compote, blackberry pie and violets with chocolate box, licorice and menthol nuances plus wafts of wilted roses, lavender and kirsch. Medium-bodied, the intensely perfumed black and blue fruit flavors glide gracefully across the palate, revealing a myriad of earth and spice accents, all framed beautifully with super ripe, fine-grained tannins and invigorating freshness, finishing very, very long. Wow. LPB)" (08/2018)

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Chappellet "Pritchard Hill Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97CG, 96RP, 96WE, 96WS, 95JS, 95VN). Connoisseurs Guide: "Leaping out of the glass with its intensely fruity, keenly focused, layered aromas of black currants, hints of blackberries and crème caramel all tightly wrapped up in youthful vivacity that screams 'aging potential,' this deep and dramatic effort delivers an equally full measure of generous yet barely evolved flavor on the palate. Its full and supple yet somewhat fleshy palatefeel is may invite early drinking, but its underlying structure insures that it will improve for years to come." (08/2010)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Sawyer "Library Reserve" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon . Sawyer Cellars was founded in 1991 by Charles Sawyer and his wife Joanne after the couple purchased a Rutherford estate.

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Paul Hobbs "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 94VN, 94WE, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From the amazing Beckstoffer To-Kalon Vineyard, Hobbs’ 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is a slightly more opulent, broader, savory effort that comes close to the perfect 2002. The 2007 has more noticeable tannin than the 2002 did at the same stage as well as more obvious minerality, but notes of graphite, black currant liqueur, licorice, cedar, and spice box are found in this full-bodied, multidimensional, fabulously concentrated wine. It was aged in 100% new Taransaud French oak barrels. Give it 5-6 years of cellaring, and drink it over the following three decades. (RP) 98+" (12/2009)
Starting Bid: $410.01

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96CG, 96VN, 95JS, 94WE). Bid on this bottle of 2007 Grace Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93ST, 92RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep ruby-red. Serious, youthfully medicinal nose combines blackberry, licorice pastille, graphite, violet and fruity bitter chocolate. Intensely flavored and deep if youthfully imploded, with terrific verve to its flavors of cassis, minerals and bitter chocolate. Quite backward but already hinting at the sweetness to come. The wine's vibrant acidity, superb intensity and serious tannic clout give it the components for a long and slow evolution in bottle. An outstanding vintage for this wine. (ST)" (05/2010)
Starting Bid: $161.00

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 100VN, 96JS, 96WS). Vinous: "As impossible as it might seem, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon takes things to another level. An exquisite, celestial bouquet melds into endless layers of fruit as this rich, voluptuous wine blossoms on the palate. Full-bodied and seductive, the 2007 conquers all of the senses with its head spinning, beautiful personality. As always, Screaming Eagle is a bit more restrained next to Napa Valley's other heavy hitters, yet the pedigree of this opulent vintage comes through in spades. A kaleidoscope of aromas and flavors flows through to the creamy, textured finish. I have tasted the 2007 several times recently and it has always been magnificent. The 2007 appears to be shutting down just a touch, but that is probably a good thing for the future. (AG)" (12/2012)
Starting Bid: $3,455.00

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Ovid "Experiment No. A2.7" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Cabernet Franc takes center stage in the 2007 Experiment A2.7, a wine that impresses for its fabulous balance and overall harmony. Mocha, red cherries, spice box and crushed flowers are wrap around the palate in this supple, mid-weight offering. A rich, radiant finish rounds things out in style. The 2007 is 48.02% Cabernet Franc, 45.37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6.23% Merlot and 0.38% Petit Verdot, all done in concrete. (AG)" (12/2012)
Starting Bid: $110.00

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100JS, 100RP, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Scarecrow's inky/purple-colored 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is a prodigious effort. It reveals a liqueur of crushed rocks intermixed with a smorgasbord of spring flower, blueberry, creme de cassis, and assorted blue, black, and red fruit characteristics. It also possesses extraordinary concentration, but what sets it apart is the fragrant aromatics combined with uncommon purity and elegance for such a full-bodied, massively concentrated wine. Congratulations to all involved! (RP)" (12/2009)
