2007 Buty "Beast - Phinny Hill Vineyard" Horse Heaven Hills Cabernet Sauvignon (Previously $50+) (Previously $50+)
Top Pick!
Buty is a boutique winery in the Walla Walla Valley AV founded in 2000 by Nina Buty. They source from their grapes from some of the finest vineyards in the region including Connor Lee and Champoux. They also have their own estate vineyards in Walla Walla and the prized Phinny Hill Vineyard, a cobble-stoned site that overlooks Champoux Vineyard. The "Beast" from Buty is a range of wines that are one-offs made from exceptional lots that offered something distinctive and powerful enough to be singled out for thier own bottling.

Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2007 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP) and 1-bottle of 2007 Quilceda Creek "Palengat Vineyard" Horse Heaven Hills Bordeaux Blend (96RP, 93ST, 92WE). Of the 2007 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2007 Galitzine Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon contains 1% Petit Verdot. It offers up a splendid bouquet of toasty new oak, earth notes, espresso, incense, blackberry, and plum. A bit more structured than the Palengat cuvee, it is slightly denser, layered, and intense. (JM)" (08/2010)
Starting Bid: $400.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Bordeaux Blend (93RP, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Red Wine is composed of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, with the balance Cabernet Franc and Malbec. As always, it is a great value offering a fragrant, already complex nose of confiture of black fruits, incense, and Asian spices. On the palate it is savory and elegant with a plush texture. It is likely to evolve for several years but there is no compelling reason to defer gratification. Quilceda Creek remains Washington’s benchmark for world-class Cabernet Sauvignon. (JM)" (08/2010)
Starting Bid: $165.00
