94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Seavey has produced some exceptional Cabernet Sauvignons, and I predict the 1995 (950 cases) will be an unexpected winner in many blind tastings. It is performing even better this year than it did last, hence my elevated score. The color is an opaque purple. The wine displays a fantastic nose of classic black currants intermixed with cigar box and cedar scents. In the mouth, it is full-bodied and backward, but persuasively rich, layered, and marvelously well-balanced. There is a deep, sweet mid-palate and explosi...

1995 Cakebread 'Benchland Select' Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (depressed cork)
New!
90 points from the Wine Spectator… 'Well integrated, harmonious if a bit rigid, the fruit flavors are pure and well focused, with layers of coffee, currant, black cherry and cedar. Turns complex on the finish, where the flavors mesh nicely. Tasted twice, with consistent notes.Best from 2000 through 2008.'

1995 William Harrison Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Back In Stock!
According to the Wine Spectator: "Complex and well-structured, with a Bordeaux-like mix of currant, herb, tobacco and cigar box aromas and flavors. Holds its focus on the finish, where the fruit is woven in nicely with the tannins. Drink now through 2008." (Web only, 2004) Stephen Tanzer: "Good deep red. Black cherry, herbs and an exotic floral nuance on the nose. Round and velvety, with an easy texture for the vintage. Finishes with dusty, even tannins and very good but not outstanding length." Bid on this bottle of 1995 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A wine of great intensity and richness, it displays classic notes of licorice, barbecue smoke, creme de cassis, cedarwood and forest floor. Full-bodied with sensational purity, a multidimensional mouthfeel and a long, voluptuous finish with no hard edges, it has only reached mid-adolescence, and has at least two decades of life ahead of it. (RP)" (11/2013)
Starting Bid: $225.00

Bid on this bottle of 1995 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99RP, 96ST, 96WS, 95DC). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1995 Harlan Estate is almost as perfect as the 1994. It has gotten even better in the bottle, and remains one of the most remarkable young Cabernet Sauvignons I have tasted. The wine, a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot, was aged in 100% new oak, which adds subtle pain grille/toasty scents. This opaque purple-colored Cabernet offers up a nose of smoke, coffee beans, black and blue fruits, minerals, and roasted herbs. It is extremely full-bodied, with spectacular purity, exquisite equilibrium, and a seamless personality with everything in total harmony. The finish lasts for more than 40 seconds. This extravagantly rich, profoundly complex 1995 will give its 1994 sibling a run for its money. (RP)" (12/1998)
