Gordon & Macphails 4 releases for their 125th anniversary represent some of the finest Scotch ever distilled and the last casks available of these special distilleries from G&M. The extremely rare Glenury Royal spirit has a long history stretching back to the early 1800's. Sadly, the distillery was demolished in 1985. Bid on this bottle of 1984 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 93ST, 92VN, 91JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The decade of the 1980s was somewhat complicated for Ridge, but the 1984 Monte Bello is a real high point, opening in the glass with a classic bouquet of cigar box, red and black fruits and sweet soil. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied and bright but powerful, with an ample core of rich fruit, melting tannins and a long, tangy finish. While it's drinking well today, and I don't see much to be gained from further aging, I'd expect this to cruise along in a cool cellar for the next decade. While it was somewhat overshadowed by the 1974 on this occasion, it's a fabulous Monte Bello and the best vintage of the decade. (WK)" (05/2018)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1984 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98WS, 94RP). Wine Spectator: "Amazingly deep and complex, as rich in color and aroma as it is on the palate, supple in texture but it just keeps coming at you with waves of plum, cherry, vanilla, chocolate and anise flavor, vibrant, exciting, as great a California wine as we've ever tasted. *1989 Wine of the Year, Cellar Selection*" (07/1989)
Starting Bid: $480.00
