Bid on this bottle of 1976 Penfolds Grange Hermitage. Stunning blend of 89% Shiraz and 11% Cabernet Sauvignon. Robert Parker gives the wine 98 points! 'A legendary vintage, this massive, powerhouse wine is a reference point for what great Grange Hermitage is all about. The color remains a thick, opaque ruby/garnet with no signs of amber or brown. The wine is beginning to reveal some evolution in its huge, fragrant nose of coffee, cedar, chocolate, prunes, and overripe black-cherries and currants. With massive richness and body, flavors that coat the palate in a viscous, pure, mindboggling manner, and a finish that lasts for nearly a minute, this huge Grange Hermitage that may one day resemble in its decadent richness and thick, unctuous texture, such Bordeaux legends as the 1947 Petrus, 1947 Cheval Blanc, and 1947 Lafleur. This wine can be drunk now or cellared for another 10-15 years. A natural born legend!'
Starting Bid: $550.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1976 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac. Wine Advocate: "Medium to dark ruby with some browning at the edges, this wine exhibits an interesting, moderately intense bouquet of ripe plums, spicy oak, and leather. (RP)" (12/1997)
Starting Bid: $600.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1976 d'Yquem, Sauternes (96RP, 96WS). Wine Advocate: "Tasted blind in Bordeaux, the 1976 Château d'Yquem reaffirms its reputation as one of the great wines of the decade, although I would suggest that that 1971 and 1975 are the true pinnacles. However, in no way do I wish to slight this Sauternes. Deep and slightly burnished in color, it offers dried pineapple, barley sugar, almond and a cheeky puff of café latte. There is wonderful definition here. The palate is underpinned by nigh on perfect acidity with orange rind, mango, crème brûlée and minerals. As it fans out towards the finish, there is a tang of Seville orange marmalade, and though it does not quite possess the persistence of the 1975 Yquem, you will be craving for the next sip. At its peak now, enjoy this great Yquem over the next 20-30 years. (NM)" (06/2016)
Current Bid: $680.00

Bid on this bottle of 1976 Cheval Blanc, St. Emilion. Wine Advocate: "In this vintage marked by extreme drought, heat, and hope-crushing rains at harvest time, Cheval Blanc has produced an open-knit, super ripe, roasted style of wine that is now fully mature. It has put on weight, and while there is some browning at the edge, the 1976 Cheval Blanc has a full-blown bouquet of ripe fruit, minerals, nuts, and toasty oak. On the palate, the wine is opulent, even fat, with generous, savory, fleshy, plummy, fruity flavors. Low in acidity and very soft, the 1976 Cheval Blanc has been drinkable since its release, yet it continues to expand and develop. I initially underestimated this wine." (01/1998)
Current Bid: $235.00

Bid on this bottle of 1976 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (96JS, 93JG, 93RP, 92VN). James Suckling: "This is the wine of the vintage. I love the rosewater, currants and citrus character to this now. It's still full body yet so ethereal. It goes on and on in the finish turning creamy and citrusy." (10/2016)
