Bid on this bottle of 1990 d'Yquem, Sauternes (98RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Medium to deep golden colored, the 1990 d'Yquem opens with unabashed opulence, giving expressive notes of dried apricots, toffee, candied walnut, tree bark and sandalwood with nuances of preserved mandarin peel, lemongrass and fallen leaves. The palate is entering that stage where it still has bags of fruit and yet appears quite dry, with a lively line contributing jaw-dropping tension and finishing with epically long-lingering honey nut and earth-inspired notes. Pure. Hedonism. The multilayered intensity perhaps makes this appear a much bigger, sweeter Yquem than it is, and yet it possesses a relatively modest 12.7% alcohol and 126 grams per liter of residual sugar with 3.9 grams per liter of total acidity (H2SO4). Well into its ideal drinking window, there is no real rush to drink this beauty, as it should remain suspended at the heavenly plateau for another 25+ years. (LPB)" (08/2019)
Starting Bid: $387.00

Bid on this 6-half-bottle lot of 2005 Rieussec, Sauternes (375ml) (97RP, 96WS, 94WE, 93JS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: The 2005 Rieussec is a blend of 90% Sémillon, 8% Sauvignon Blanc and 2% Muscadelle picked between 23 September and 27 October. It has a fabulous bouquet that is mineral-rich and tensile. The palate repeats its performance from last year: focused, tense, laden with botrytis-rich fruit with a crystalline and sorbet-fresh finish that seals the deal. One of the best releases from the estate in recent years. (NM) (01/2017)
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this bottle of 1976 d'Yquem, Sauternes (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted blind in Bordeaux, the 1976 Château d'Yquem reaffirms its reputation as one of the great wines of the decade, although I would suggest that that 1971 and 1975 are the true pinnacles. However, in no way do I wish to slight this Sauternes. Deep and slightly burnished in color, it offers dried pineapple, barley sugar, almond and a cheeky puff of café latte. There is wonderful definition here. The palate is underpinned by nigh on perfect acidity with orange rind, mango, crème brûlée and minerals. As it fans out towards the finish, there is a tang of Seville orange marmalade, and though it does not quite possess the persistence of the 1975 Yquem, you will be craving for the next sip. At its peak now, enjoy this great Yquem over the next 20-30 years. (NM)" (06/2016)
Starting Bid: $375.00

Bid on this 3-half-bottle lot of 2001 Rieussec, Sauternes (375ml) (100JS, 100WS, 99RP, 95ST). James Suckling: This is a crazy wine! It’s sweet, but not sugary. Mushrooms, furniture wax, spices then dried oranges, lemons, pineapples, and just a hint of vanilla. Full-bodied, with great density and power, yet balanced and refined. (05/2012)
Starting Bid: $262.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2001 Suduiraut, Sauternes (98RP, 98WS, 95DC, 94VN, 93JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A prodigious effort, possibly the finest Suduiraut since 1959, the medium gold-colored 2001 offers notes of creme brulee, caramelized citrus, Grand Marnier, honeysuckle, and other exotic fruits as well as a pleasant touch of oak. With terrific acidity, a voluptuous/unctuous palate, and sweet, powerful flavors buttressed by crisp acidity, it is a phenomenal Sauternes. (RP)" (06/2004)
Starting Bid: $255.00

Bid on this bottle of 2001 d'Yquem, Sauternes (100JS, 100RP, 100WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 10, 000 cases of this perfect sweet white Bordeaux. The 2001 Yquem reveals a hint of green in its light gold color. While somewhat reticent aromatically, with airing, it offers up honeyed tropical fruit, orange marmalade, pineapple, sweet creme brulee, and buttered nut-like scents. In the mouth, it is full-bodied with gorgeously refreshing acidity as well as massive concentration and unctuosity. Everything is uplifted and given laser-like focus by refreshing acidity. This large-scaled, youthful Yquem appears set to take its place among the most legendary vintages of the past, and will age effortlessly for 75+ years. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2100+. (RP)" (04/2005)
Starting Bid: $460.88

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1989 Raymond Lafon, Sauternes (91RP, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1989 exhibits aromas of honeyed pineapple/tropical fruit and toasty new oak, as well as an exotic, flashy perfume that is not as pronounced in either the 1990 or 1988. The 1989 exhibits less botrytis than the other two vintages. The wine possesses an opulent, full-bodied, exotic, lavishly rich personality, moderate sweetness, and huge quantity of extract, glycerin, and alcohol in its finish. The wine is also extremely young and unevolved. (RP)" (01/1998)
Starting Bid: $80.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2003 Rieussec, Sauternes (97JS, (92-95ST), 95WS, (92-94RP)). James Suckling: "So rich and powerful with so much dried apricots and citrus aromas and flavors. Caramel and toffee. Full and very sweet. Amazing." (10/2016)
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2002 Rieussec, Sauternes (92ST, 92WS, 90RP). Wine Spectator: "Aromas of apple tart, cream and honey follow through to a full-bodied palate, with lots of sweetness and a dried pineapple, vanilla and honey aftertaste. Outstanding intensity. Best after 2008. (JS)" (07/2006)
Starting Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 6-half-bottle lot of 2003 Rieussec, Sauternes (375ml) (97JS, 95WS). James Suckling: So rich and powerful with so much dried apricots and citrus aromas and flavors. Caramel and toffee. Full and very sweet. Amazing. (10/2016)
Starting Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 2-half-bottle lot of 1998 d'Yquem, Sauternes (375ml) (95RP, 95VN). Vinous: Pale gold. Knockout aromas of creme brulee, coconut, vanilla bean, honey and orange peel. Lush and seductively silky in the mouth; its creamy, seamless texture makes it seem deceptively accessible today but sound acid structure should keep it going for 20 years or more. Not hugely sweet or tropical but very complex and fine. Firm, hazelnutty finish offers great length, if not quite the grip of the '89. (ST) (07/1998)
