Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 d'Yquem, Sauternes (100JS, 100RP, 100WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 10, 000 cases of this perfect sweet white Bordeaux. The 2001 Yquem reveals a hint of green in its light gold color. While somewhat reticent aromatically, with airing, it offers up honeyed tropical fruit, orange marmalade, pineapple, sweet creme brulee, and buttered nut-like scents. In the mouth, it is full-bodied with gorgeously refreshing acidity as well as massive concentration and unctuosity. Everything is uplifted and given laser-like focus by refreshing acidity. This large-scaled, youthful Yquem appears set to take its place among the most legendary vintages of the past, and will age effortlessly for 75+ years. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2100+. (RP)" (04/2005)
Starting Bid: $820.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2001 Rabaud Promis, Sauternes and 2-bottles of 2001 Rabaud-Promis, Sauternes (375ml). Of the 2001 Rabaud Promis, Sauternes, Wine Spectator writes: "Brilliant yellow-gold color. Very strong aromas of tropical fruit and honey. Full-bodied, with apricot and botrytis spice character that takes off like afterburners. Fantastic. (JS)" (09/2004)
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2001 Rieussec, Sauternes (100JS, 100WS, 95VN). James Suckling: "This is a crazy wine! It’s sweet, but not sugary. Mushrooms, furniture wax, spices then dried oranges, lemons, pineapples, and just a hint of vanilla. Full-bodied, with great density and power, yet balanced and refined. So amazing, but give this five to six years still. Pull the cork in 2016. 145 grams RS." (05/2012)
Starting Bid: $480.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2001 Clos Haut-Peyraguey, Sauternes (97WS, 96JS, 93RP, 91ST). Wine Spectator: "***Highly Recommended*** Smells like pure caramel with just a hint of dried apricot. Full-bodied, ultrasweet and fabulously concentrated. This goes on for minutes. Coats your palate but shows fab acidity. Big, juicy young sticky. (JS)" (09/2004)
Starting Bid: $150.00
