This exceptional brand of rum comes from Berling S.A., a company originally foundned in 1862 in part by Labbe Barbancourt. Aged for 15 years in Limousine oak that previously held Grande Champagne Cognac, this rum is made primarily from Madame Mueze cane juice double distilled on old copper pots. Michel Sajous built his distillery, Chelo, where his family had cultivated cane since the 1960s on 30 hectares of land outside of Saint Michel de l'Attalaye, 100 miles north of Port-au-Prince.
