94 points Wine Enthusiast: "To call Kirwan a rising star is no longer true, since this property, owned by the Schyler family, and with Michel Rolland as consultant, is now firmly back in its right quality place among classed growths. It is modern in style, as is expected, but the dark, black currant, extracted fruits, new wood and structure don't detract from its elegance. *Editors' Choice* (RV)" (06/2005) 90 points Wine Spectator: "Very pretty red with violet, vanilla and berry character. Medium- to full-bodied, with a fine finish. Lovely subtlety and...

Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2001 Palmer, Margaux (OWC - 95JA, 94DC, 94WS, 93RP, 93VN, 93W&S, 93WE) in original wood. Jane Anson: "Nose a little more subdued than the 2000, but this has the truffle, rosebud and woodsmoke combination of a Palmer that is at a perfect moment to share. Loganberry, raspberry, tobacco leaf, peony, mint leaf, the tannins are finessed and finely spun, tracing the outline of the fruit but not constricting it in any way. Waves of aromatics through the palate keep you hooked, this is nuanced, elegant, moreish, with so much Margaux appellation charater, and a juicy finish. Harvest September 29 to October 11. 60% new oak." (12/2021)
Starting Bid: $2,040.00
