91 points Decanter: "Alec Seysses of Dujac notes that the négociant operation sometimes struggles to find top quality fruit. Here, the results have produced bright, forward cherry fruit on the nose, but it's lacking a certain definition. The wine is tannic and lively on the palate, but somehow a bit hollow in the middle. Pleasant, but not profound. Drinking Window 2024 - 2049. (CC)" (10/2020) 88-90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aromas of orange rind, plums, sweet berries and spices introduce the 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Village, a medium to full...

89-91 points Vinous: "The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Village, which contains 40% whole bunch, takes a few swirls of the glass to meld together, finally delivering airy blackberry and bilberry scents, perhaps more Morey in style than the titular village. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy black fruit, a granular texture and a salty, slightly brusque but fresh finish. Fine, but it will need some bottle age to smooth its edges. A second cuvée without the stems is perhaps just a little less interesting on the nose. Thomas Collardot is not sure what the fin...

90-93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: " A ripe but notably fresher nose speaks of dark cherry, raspberry, anise, violet and a hint of exotic tea. The much finer medium-bodied flavors are also more minerality driven while offers excellent length on the balanced finale. This too is very Chambollesque and a wine that should amply repay a decade plus of keeping. *Burghound Outstanding!*" (01/2022) 93 points John Gilman: "Romaine Taupenot’s 2020 la Combe d’Orveau is a fine, fine example of the vintage. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a refined blend o...

2012 Domaine Louis Jadot (Andre Gagey) Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Baudes"
Back In Stock!
91-93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is also notably cool and pure with a bit more complexity to the array of red and blue Pinot fruit suffused nose where floral and wet stone nuances add breadth. Like any number of the wines in the range the supporting tannins are quite fine and this is particularly true within the context of a more robust appellation like Les Baudes. There is excellent intensity to the muscular but sleek flavors and finish that displays fine persistence." (04/2014) 90-92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Da...

95 points Decanter: "Produced from a 0.17ha parcel from Christian Amiot's family. The steep site in marly soils is densely planted to old vines of small clusters with small berries, producing a wine with a bright, dark plum fruit character on the initial attack. There is a tannic, bright freshness on the palate, accentuated by the 20% whole bunches used in the fermentation that drives the wine to a persistent, complex, but remarkably elegant finish. Drinking Window 2024 - 2039. (CC)" (10/2020) 95 points Vinous: "The 2019 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru is b...

88-91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Here too soft wood is present on the more elegant and slightly fresh aromas of various dark berries, spice and violet scents. The sleek and focused medium weight flavors flash a subtle minerality that adds a sense of lift to the refreshingly vibrant and lingering finish. Note that this is sufficiently firm to repay 6 to 10 years of cellaring." (01/2021) 91 points Decanter: "The fruit is destemmed and gently fermented, to produce a wine that has an alluring red cherry fruit, touched with violets and a texture on ...

91-94 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Moderate wood frames very fresh aromas of mostly dark berries, spice, warm earth and a pretty floral component. There is excellent volume and evident power to the well-detailed larger-scaled flavors that are quite firmly structured on the impressively long finish that possesses fine depth. This too is going to require at least some patience, though the underlying material is very promising." (01/2021) 93 points Vinous: "The 2019 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru is in the Mazoyères area and might be renamed in the no...

95 points Decanter: "This Amoureuses comes from a substantial parcel planted with mature vines. The depth of fruit here is intense, with focused aromas of cassis and black cherry. On the palate there is an impressive density and firm, finely-grained tannins that lead to a robust, almost slightly rustic finish. Intensely concentrated and complex, this will smooth out with a bit of time in the bottle and should age for decades. Drinking Window 2024 - 2039. (CC)" (10/2020) 93 points Vinous: "The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru is blended wit...

89-98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Chambolle-Musigny Les Baudes is a relatively firm style of Chambolle. The wine sweeps across the palate with layers of dark red fruit in a refined expression of this site. The Baudes is elegant and beautifully delineated through to the finish. This turns quite a bit more delicate in the glass, as crushed flowers, berries and mint add the final layers of complexity. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2029. (AG)" (05/2011) 91-93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Like the Fuées, this is highly perfumed and ve...

90 points Decanter: "After destemming, gentle fermentation and ageing in used casks, the wine has an approachable plummy fruit, but it is less substantial and lacks the taut structure of the Chambolle offerings. From vines in Morey-St-Denis, inherited from Pierre Amiot, this village wine is a blend of Clos Solon and Les Bras, located in heavier soils on either side of the Nationale. Drinking Window 2021 - 2029. (CC)" (10/2020) Vinous: "The 2019 Morey Saint-Denis Village includes 33% whole bunch. The fresh nose features brambly red fruit, sous-bois and ...

89-92 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Once again there is lovely freshness to the cool and airy aromas of red cherry, dark raspberry and spice. I very much like the texture of the mineral-driven, chiseled and vibrant medium-bodied flavors that culminate in a dusty bitter pit fruit-inflected finish that offers excellent depth and persistence for a villages-level wine. One to strongly consider. *Burghound Outstanding Top Value!*" (01/2022) 92 points Decanter: "There is a silky, sweet cherry and blackberry fruit, with a lifted floral note plus a hint o...

91-93 points Vinous: "Matured in 25% new oak and 90% whole bunches, the 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Les Sentiers 1er Cru is the most opulent of Groffier’s 2019s with kirsch and orange zest infusing the red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a little oak to be subsumed on the entry. Good weight, quite muscular for a Chambolle with liberally sprinkled black pepper enhancing the finish. A little stocky, bottle age will smooth any jagged corners. (NM)" (12/2020) K&L Notes: 91-94pts Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy: "80% whole bunch, 20% new wood, 80 yea...

92-94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Fuées (Domaine Louis Jadot) reveals a deep bouquet of plums, dark berry fruit, exotic spices, orange rind and raw cocoa. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and concentrated, with powdery tannins, tangy acids and a mineral finish, it's a real success. The 2020 vintage has turned out beautifully at this address, delivering concentrated, flavorful wines with alcohol levels between 13.3% and 13.7% and with low pHs. Winemaker Frédéric Barnier told me that efforts were made to pic...

Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Ripe and attractively fresh aromas include those of black cherry coulis, spice and violet. The very rich and generously proportioned medium weight flavors possess a succulent mid-palate that contrasts somewhat with the textured and lingering finish where the supporting tannins are a bit raspy." (01/2022) Vinous: "The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Village, whose malolactic finished at the beginning of September, matured in 25-30% new oak, has a much more defined and fresher nose than the Bourgogne Rouge with lively black cherry and ...

2019 Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair Chambolle Musigny
93 points Decanter: "The grapes for this old vine Chambolle are purchased from a number of different parcels, including Fouchères, a small amount of Musigny, Gamaires and Fremières. One quarter of the grapes are fermented as whole clusters to produce this wine, with a forward, perfumed red and black berry character on the nose, and a silky, fresh elegance on the palate. A very pretty wine that will continue to improve with age. Drinking Window 2024 - 2039. (CC)" (10/2020) 88-91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An overtly floral-suffused nose is compr...

90-93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A ripe blend of various dark berries displays good breadth in the form of earth, floral and a whiff of spicy green tea. There is excellent volume to the generously proportioned, bright and energetic flavors that also possess a borderline citrusy character on the solidly persistent and firm finish. *Outstanding!*" (01/2021) K&L Notes: 92-95 points Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy: "Grown on crinoidal limestone with red clay, from iron oxide and mineral salts. This cuvée often gets overlooked in the Clavelier line-up...

90-92 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Here the wood is a bit more prominent though by no means invasive to the nicely spicy nose of mostly dark currant and poached plum nuances. The palate impression of the bigger medium-bodied flavors is surprisingly mineral-driven with fine backend energy on the dusty, compact and equally serious finale that isn't quite as complex, at least not at present. " (01/2021) 92 points Decanter: "This 1.27ha parcel is the family’s largest among the premier crus and the wine serves as a reference for the style of a classic...

93 points Decanter: "Produced from grapes purchased from a parcel of mature vines, the fruit is destemmed and gently fermented prior to ageing in cask. The finished wine has a svelte and elegant palate, a lovely, sweet red fruit character and an intriguing hint of dark chocolate on the finish. (CC)" (10/2020) 91-93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Feusselottes (Méo-Camuzet Frère & Soeurs) mingles notes of raspberries, cassis and plums with hints of rose petals and Indian spices. Medium to full-bodied, layere...

88-90 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Note: from Bas Doix and Aux Echanges; vinified with 100% whole clusters This is also aromatically very pretty with its blend of ripe and fresh dark berries, violet, anise and tea. The delicious medium-bodied flavors possess a relatively refined texture while exhibiting good if not exceptional length on the youthfully austere finale." (01/2022) 88-90 points Vinous: "The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Village has a tightly wound nose that required some aeration before it offered the redcurrant and cranberry fruit, dark ch...

91-94 points Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy: "The Méo-Camuzet team run these vineyards. Attractive mid purple, very perfumed, supple, though quite high octane behind. The fruit does show its riper character but this finishes well nonetheless." (12/2020)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Domaine Robert Groffier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Hauts Doix" (93VN). Vinous: "The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny Les Hauts Doix 1er Cru has a more compact, high-toned bouquet than Drouhin’s Chambolle premier cru tasted alongside, with darker fruit (blueberry and bilberry) complementing the red fruit. The palate is sweet and rounded on the entry and quite candied in style, but displays perfect acidity. There is plenty of substance toward the finish, as well as the roundness one seeks in Chambolle-Musigny. A touch of spiciness develops with aeration .This is a marvelous premier cru. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. (NM)" (11/2018)
Starting Bid: $450.00

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Domaine J-F Mugnier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Fuées" (91BH, 91JG, 90RP). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "There is a vague wisp of menthol to the red and black berry aromas that exhibit wet stone and herbal nuances. There is plenty of the hallmark minerality on the textured and ultra-pure medium-bodied flavors that possess fine verve and detail before culminating in a sleek, silky and sneaky long finish. This is a seriously pretty wine and while it doesn't have the sheer mid-palate concentration or complexity of the finest vintages, it is still a really lovely effort of finesse and refinement." (07/2015)
Starting Bid: $385.00

Bid on this bottle of 2005 Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru (93BH, 92ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A strikingly complex nose offers up notes of dried rose petal, exotic spices, tea, earth and very ripe red Pinot fruit that merges into rich, full and wonderfully precise medium full-bodied flavors that possess impeccable balance and length that goes on and on. A smaller version of the Musigny and built to age almost as well. *Outstanding*" (01/2008)
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this bottle of 1995 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Musigny Grand Cru "Vieilles Vignes" ((93-96RP), 96ST, 92BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the greatest wines of the vintage, Vogue's Musigny Vieilles Vignes, reminded me of Chateau Margaux at its best: an iron fist in a velvet glove. How anything can be this massive, powerful, and robust and yet be strikingly elegant and refined. Possessing a dark ruby color and an amazingly spicy, floral (roses) and black fruit-filled nose, this stupendous Burgundy has a thick, almost viscous, velvety texture, with copious quantities of fat, chewy, red berries. Surprisingly, the fruit almost tastes stewed yet is perfectly and clearly delineated. Complex, intensely deep and buttressed with huge but ripe tannins, this wine should be at its plateau of maturity between 2006 and 2016. Bravo! (PR)" (06/1997)
Starting Bid: $760.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru ((92-94RP), 93BH, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The intense scents of the 2002 Bonnes Mares burst from the glass, exhibiting dark jammy fruits, spices, and blood oranges. Bold, powerful, and crammed with black cherries, allspice, and raspberries, it reveals copious quantities of exquisitely ripened tannin in its finish. (PR)" (06/2004)
Starting Bid: $985.00

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Domaine J-F Mugnier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Amoureuses" (94JG, 93ST, 92RP, 91BH). John Gilman: "The 2007 Mugnier Amoureuses is a brilliant example of the vintage that is certainly approachable now, but which really demands at least five or six years in the cellar to really allow its secondary layers of complexity to blossom. The bouquet is deep and refined, as it offers up a compelling blend of red plums, cherries, roses, coffee, beautiful soil tones, mustard seed and a gentle note of smokiness in the upper register. On the palate the wine is medium-full, long and suave, with great elegance, fine mid-palate depth, silky tannins and a very long, classy and bright finish. A beautiful bottle of Amoureuses." (01/2010)
Starting Bid: $975.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Domaine Robert Groffier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Sentiers" (93VN). Vinous: "The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny Les Sentiers 1er Cru has an engaging, enticing, detailed bouquet of tart red cherry, red currant, crushed stone and subtle undergrowth/fern aromas that gather momentum with aeration. The palate is beautifully balanced, with integrated new oak that complements and enhances the substance of this outstanding Chambolle-Musigny. It just feels natural and self-assured at this early stage, which is surely is a good omen for the future. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. (NM)" (11/2018)
Starting Bid: $420.00

Bid on this bottle of 2005 Domaine Dujac Chambolle-Musigny ((88-90BH)). Recommended. *Outstanding*" (01/2007)
