Bid on this 3-magnum lot of 2016 San Giusto a Rentennano La Ricolma Toscana (1.5L) (100RP, 100VN, 95JS). Vinous: The 2016 La Ricolma soars out of the glass with stunning aromatic intensity, power and nuance. An infusion of blackberry jam, sage, menthol, licorice and graphite run through a wine that will leave readers weak at the knees, such is its extraordinary beauty. The sweetness and ripeness of the tannin is truly remarkable. Powerful and yet incredibly refined, the 2016 is simply breathtaking and a more than worthy follow up to the equally captivating 2015. Readers who can find the 2016 should not hesitate, as is insanely beautiful not to mention a wine of pure and total pleasure. (AG) (12/2019)
Starting Bid: $1,200.00
Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2005 Domaine Robert Groffier Bourgogne Rouge and 1-bottle of 2006 Domaine Francois Lamarche Vosne-Romanee 1er Cru "Malconsorts". Of the 2005 Domaine Robert Groffier Bourgogne Rouge, Wine Spectator writes: "Lovely sweet blackberry fruit matches the supple texture in this appealing Bourgogne. Has adequate acidity and tannins to develop over the next five years. (Web Only-2008)"
Starting Bid: $125.00
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of Colonel E.H. Taylor Jr. Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon (750ml) (93WE). Wine Enthusiast: "Relatively smooth for 100 proof, this light, silky Bourbon shows bold vanilla and toffee, plus a mouthwatering baking spice finish. It's a good sipper with an ice cube, or mix into a top-flight old fashioned. (KN)" (07/2015)
Current Bid: $255.00
Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2020 Soléna "Grande Cuvée" Willamette Pinot Noir.
Starting Bid: $180.00
Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2000 Fonseca Vintage Port (96RP, 96WS, 95DC, 95ST) and 1-bottle of 2000 Taylor Vintage Port (98RP, 96WE, 95ST, 95WS, 94JG). Of the 2000 Taylor Vintage Port, Wine Advocate writes: "At present it offers very pure blackberry, mulberry, and a touch of smoke...not giving much away at the moment but surely destined to down the line. The palate is very refined, very pure with svelte tannins with ebullient ripe red fruits laced with tobacco, nutmeg and white pepper. Long and caressing on the finish, this should evolve into a masterful Taylor’s Vintage. (NM)" (07/2011)
Current Bid: $150.00
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1995 Craigellachie 19 Year Old "Old Malt Cask" Single Sherry Barrel Single Malt Whisky (750ml). It's a wonderful thing when you can find a substitute for your favorite brand at half the price. In the case of this new Craigellachie 19 year old sherry cask we just discovered, we think it tastes exactly like Macallan 18 year--a whisky that is now up to $230 a bottle when you can even find it. All that soft and integrated oloroso sherry flavor permeates the palate, while the delicate and malty flavors of the Highland whisky work in conjunction to balance out the richness. Even at 100 proof, this is a delicate whisky.
Current Bid: $145.00
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2020 Sine Qua Non "Distenta II" California Grenache ((97-100JD), 97RP, (94-96VN)). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2020 Grenache Distenta II is a blend of mostly 78% Grenache and the rest Mourvèdre, Syrah, Petite Sirah, and a tiny splash of Viognier. It's a ripe, sexy, insanely good barrel sample that has remarkable purity, tons of black raspberry and cassis fruits, perfect balance, full-bodied richness, and an already complex bouquet of violets, spice, and flowers. I continue to be blown away by what this estate seems to achieve with Grenache in just about every vintage." (08/2022)
Starting Bid: $570.00
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof "Batch C922" Kentucky Bourbon (1 bottle limit) (750ml). The third and final release of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof for 2022: 12 years old; bottled non-chill-filtered; mash bill composed of 78% Corn, 10% Rye, and 12% Malted Barley; and bottled at 124.8-proof.
Current Bid: $125.00
Bid on this bottle of Jack Daniels Frank Sinatra Select Tennessee Whiskey (1L) in original wood. Whisky Advocate: "This new Jack Daniel's offering is marketed as being “bold and smooth.” It certainly is bolder when compared to the standard Jack Daniel's offering, with a mélange of corn, creamy vanilla, toasted caramel, bright citrus, and dry resinous oak spiked with cinnamon. The smoothness ends, however, when the oak grip intensifies on the finish. Adding ice does tame the oak, if that's your thing. (JH)" (04/2014)
Current Bid: $95.00
Bid on this 3-magnum lot of 2016 Fontodi Flaccianello della Pieve Toscana (1.5L) (100RP, 100VN, 97WS, 95JS, 94KO). Vinous: The 2016 Flaccianello della Pieve is a truly special, moving wine. There's not much more to say. The 2016 was epic when I tasted it last year. It is every bit as memorable today. Beautifully layered, the 2016 possesses remarkable finesse and power. All of the natural intensity of Panzano's Conca d'Oro comes through in a wine that dazzles from start to finish. As always, Flaccianello showcases the darker side of Sangiovese. (AG) (09/2020)
Current Bid: $975.00
Bid on this 3 liter of 1997 La Mondotte, St-Emilion (3L) (OWC - 94RP, (91-92ST), 90WS) in original wood. Wine Advocate: "A stupendous effort, and unquestionably one of the wines of the vintage, La Mondotte's 1997 boasts a saturated purple color as well as an explosive nose of blackberries, violets, minerals, and sweet toasty oak. Huge and massive, yet gorgeously proportioned, it possesses an unctuous texture with no hard edges. Seductive and easy to drink, it should be consumed between now and 2015. (RP)" (04/2000)
Starting Bid: $370.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of Arran 10 Year Old Single Malt Whisky Non-Chill filtered Natural Color (750ml). The folks at Arran, which has been independently owned since its inception in 1995, have been quietly making some of the best island-distilled whisky in Scotland for 25 years. Their water source is 100% rainwater coming from Loch Na Davie, high above the distillery. The clean water, combined with 100% concerto malt and a careful distillation, is the essence of Arran — it's fresh, barley-forward, and shows flavors heavy with citrus, stone fruit, and vanilla pudding. They never color or chill filter any of their whiskies, choosing instead to retain all of the natural beauty they worked so hard to capture.
Starting Bid: $150.00
Bid on this bottle of 2019 Domaine Coche-Dury Auxey-Duresses Rouge (94DC, 92JG, 92RP, 90VN). Decanter: "This structured, firm red is produced from two parcels totaling a half-hectare in the lieux-dits of Les Fosses et Les Boutonniers. The vines are planted in red marl soils and in 2019 delivered a wine of concentration and freshness, with a bright blackberry nose scented with flowers and a hint of spice. Perfect now, this wine will continue to improve with mid-term ageing. Drinking Window 2025 - 2040. (CC)" (09/2021)

Bid on this bottle of Old Weller "Antique" 107 Proof Straight Bourbon Whiskey (750ml) (1 bottle limit). *Limit one per household across all inventory locations. Multiple orders from the same address with different names will not be honored. Orders that violate this policy will be subject to cancellation* Buffalo Trace distillery's classic wheated-bourbon formula, substituting wheat for rye as the flavor grain in addition to the corn. The result is the same creamy, full-bodied whiskey that made the Van Winkles so famous. Now that all the Pappy is made at Buffalo Trace distillery, it's actually all made from the same formula. This one just happens to cost $50 instead.
Current Bid: $204.99
Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2012 Fontodi Flaccianello della Pieve Toscana (1.5L) (97DC, 97VN, 94JS, 94RP). Vinous: Tasted next to the 2012 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigna del Sorbo, the Flaccianello is richer, deeper and more flamboyant. Super-ripe red stone fruit, smoke, licorice and dark spices meld together in a deep, powerful wine. The 2012 is impressive, but personally I prefer the finesse and freshness of the Sorbo. The greater influence of new French oak is also felt in the wine's texture. Still, that is splitting hairs, as the level here is high. Very high. (AG) (10/2016)
Current Bid: $450.00
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2020 Domaine Pinson Chablis 1er Cru "Mont de Milieu" (93BH, 92DC). Burghound: "A cool, pure and airy nose features notes of white flowers, pear, passion fruit, quinine and a very subtle application of wood. The juicy and fleshy medium-bodied flavors are solidly concentrated with good minerality and power on the complex, long and well-balanced finale. This very dry and consistently fine wine is potentially outstanding and just in need of a few years of cellaring. *Burghound Outstanding!*" (10/2022)
Starting Bid: $180.00
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1997 Hartwell Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon ((89-92ST)). Int'l Wine Cellar: "Fresh ruby color. Very reticent nose hints at flowers and dark berries. Youthfully tight and unevolved, but with excellent intensity and thickness; primary dark berry and violet flavors. Very strong tannic spine gives this a tough finish today. Complicating notes of iron and graphite on the aftertaste." (06/1999)
Starting Bid: $100.00
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2014 Louis Roederer Brut Champagne (95RP, 94JG, 93WS). Wine Advocate: "Roederer's 2014 Brut Vintage is beautiful, offering up aromas of pear, mirabelle plum, red berries, warm biscuits and smoke. Full-bodied, layered and elegantly muscular, it's seamless and complete, with terrific mid-palate depth and amplitude. Framed by bright acids and enlivened by a pinpoint mousse, it concludes with a penetrating finish. The blend is 70% Pinot Noir, emphasizing Verzy, and pressure is a touch higher than in its more ethereal Blanc de Blancs counterpart. As I wrote of its 2013 predecessor, this is a wine that puts many prestige cuvées to shame. (WK)" (09/2021)
Starting Bid: $300.00
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of Barton Distillery 1792 Full Proof Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey (750ml) (92WA). Whisky Advocate: "No age statement on the label, but aged for 8 1/2 years. Bottled at the same ABV as its entry proof into the barrel. Lush and mouth-coating. A pleasingly sweet bourbon, with caramel, nougat, and chewy toffee, mixed with ripe orchard fruit, golden raisin, and creamy vanilla. Soothing finish. A wonderful way to end a meal. (With a cigar, perhaps?) This is a beautiful bourbon and a great value given its quality, ABV, and price. (JH, Fall 2016)"
Current Bid: $120.00
Bid on this bottle of Springbank 10 Year Old "Local Barley" Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky (750ml) (92WE). Wine Enthusiast: "Smells of dried figs, sultanas, lime marmalade, sea breeze, green olive, lemon grass, malted milk and unsweetened coconut. The taste profile asserts itself in the forms of light caramel, paraffin and almond paste; at midpalate the spirit becomes more evident as the off-dry, malty, moderately salty flavor warms the tongue and throat. Concludes gracefully and elegantly, with a mild rush of heat and smoke." (06/2006)
Current Bid: $286.00
Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot in original wood; including 1-bottle of 2020 Sine Qua Non "Distenta II" California Grenache (1.5L) ((97-100JD), 97RP, (94-96VN)) and 1-bottle of 2020 Sine Qua Non "Distenta II" California Syrah (1.5L) ((97-99JD), 99RP, (96-98VN)). Of the 2020 Sine Qua Non "Distenta II" California Grenache (1.5L), Jeb Dunnuck writes: "The 2020 Grenache Distenta II is a blend of mostly 78% Grenache and the rest Mourvèdre, Syrah, Petite Sirah, and a tiny splash of Viognier. It's a ripe, sexy, insanely good barrel sample that has remarkable purity, tons of black raspberry and cassis fruits, perfect balance, full-bodied richness, and an already complex bouquet of violets, spice, and flowers. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of Barton Distillery 1792 Small Batch Kentucky Bourbon (750ml) (90WA). Whisky Advocate: "Initially it’s a nut-filled experience with toasted walnuts, pecans, and Brazil nuts, but an atypical spice appears that’s just lovely. Smoked hatch chiles mingle with rounded notes of cinnamon, créme brûlée, Bananas Foster, orange, canned peaches, caramel chew, and toffee. The pepper spices reappear for a grand finish. (FM, Summer 2018)"
Starting Bid: $60.00
Bid on this 5-half-bottle lot of Alvear 1927 Pedro Ximenez Solera Montilla-Moriles (375ml) (98RP, 96WE, 95JD, 94JS). Wine Advocate: The NV Pedro Ximenez Solera 1927 is non-vintage, but does have some 1927 material in it. This is totally dark brown/amber with notes of figs, toffee, caramel syrup, molasses and coffee. It is dense, super sweet, intense, rich and an amazingly, unctuously textured, thick beverage to consume slowly and introspectively after a meal. Drink now through 2050, or even longer. (RP) (11/2015)
