99 points James Suckling: "The restrained beauty of the peachiness in the nose is hard to describe, but easy to be overwhelmed by! On the compact palate this has staggering concentration yet still manages to be very light on its feet. The finish is blade-runner sharp, but the blade also flashes in the sun. Breathtaking drive and energy for the very warm and dry vintage. Then comes the remarkable wet-stone minerality and you can’t wait for the next sip. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification. Drink or hold." (07/2023) 95-97 points...

98 points James Suckling: "This starts very quietly and gently with a wafting cloud of floral aromas, but then your gaze is pulled into the base of this Gothic cathedral window, pulling you ever further upward until you are staring at the heavens. Supernatural energy and vitality, the wet stone character cascading over your palate at the super-long finish. Doesn’t want to stop! From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification. Drink or hold." (07/2023) 95 points Vinous: "From shale, the 2022 Riesling Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Spätlese is ...

98 points James Suckling: "What an exquisite stone fruit nose this super-fine and filigree dry riesling has! Yes, it is also very concentrated, but this and the power are completely underplayed. The result is an almost weightless palate that hangs like a white cloud in the still air. Extraordinary purity and precision at the almost endless finish. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification. Drink or hold." (07/2023) 94-96 points Vinous: "The 2022 Riesling Norheimer Dellchen Grosses Gewächs unites volcanic and shale soils. The site be...

94 points James Suckling: " Stand back as this riesling lightning strike arrives. Complex nose of dried flowers and summer meadows. Ripe and juicy, but also very elegant and crisp with stunning mineral freshness at the very long pointed finish. Delicious, but also excellent potential. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification. Drink or hold." (07/2023) 92 points Vinous: "The 2022 Riesling Oberhäuser Leistenberg Kabinett beckons with a white peach hint on the nose. The palate is serene, edging its peachiness with lemon fruit and zest...

91 points James Suckling: "So much stone fruit and such a juiciness for the extreme vintage, this is a generous introduction to the riesling wines of the Nahe. Just a hint of floral honey, but also citrusy acidity. Just a hint of tropical ripeness. Put your feet up and enjoy now. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification." (07/2023)

95 points James Suckling: "Welcome to a deep well of stone fruit – everything from white peach to mirabelle! Excellent concentration, but what makes this really remarkable is the purity of fruit and the great mineral freshness that animates all of this. Almost a whiplash of citrusy acidity at the super-bright finish. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification. Drink or hold." (08/2022) 94 points John Gilman: "The Dönnhoff family’s 2021 Krötenpfuhl Grosses Gewächs is truly stunning. It is pretty rare that they make a GG from this vin...

91 points James Suckling: "Very spicy for a dry Nahe riesling with plenty of mandarin orange and peach stone fruit. Strikingly dry and firm with ample structure, then a long zesty and mouthwatering finish. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification. Drink or hold. Screw cap." (07/2023) Vinous: "The 2022 Riesling was harvested in the lateral valley of Oberhausen, on south-east-facing slopes of volcanic origin and in the younger vines of the top south-facing sites. It was fermented in stainless steel only. It opens with opulent, ripe y...

The Kruger-Rumpf wine estate dates back to the 1700s, but mostly as a grower. Stefan Rumpf changed the model in 1984, releasing their first wines. Georg and Philipp Rumpf are following their father's tradition, showcasing their varied vineyard sites with distinctive wines like this dry Riesling from Nahe.

97 points James Suckling: "For anyone who has never taste one, this wine smells like the red-fleshed vineyard peach. Then, on the incredibly focused palate, you plunge into the mineral depths of a riesling Grand Canyon. You need to like acidity to appreciate this astonishing experience at this youthful stage, but the wine is still extremely young. For the moment you need to chase a laser beam! From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification. Drink or hold." (08/2022) 96 points Wine Advocate: "From a two-hectare parcel with the oldest (50+...

93 points James Suckling: "What a beautiful nose of summer flowers and persimmon. Juicy and generous on the front- and mid-palates for this cool-climate site thanks to the very warm, dry summer. The touch of tannin underlines the long slatey finish. Very bright acidity for this vintage. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification. Drink or hold. Screw cap." (07/2023) 90 points Vinous: "The 2022 Riesling Tonschiefer is from the single site Oberhäuser Leistenberg, on weathered Tonschiefer or shale. The nose opens with ripe, mellow notes...

96 points Wine Advocate: "Dönnhoff's 2021 Felsenberg GG is pure, bright and flinty on the deep, intense and iodine nose that also reveals phenolic complexity. Full-bodied but refined and elegant on the plate, this is a balanced and light-footed, rich and dense Felsenberg with juicy fruit and crystalline acidity, whereas the tannins step back compared to the Höllenpfad im Mühlenberg. The finish is rich yet refined and saline, with delicate lemon bitters and lush fruit. Although the 2021 is already charming, the wine needs some years on the bottle to show ...

93 points Wine Advocate: "The 2021 Kreuznacher Kahlenberg Riesling trocken is clear, bright and delicate on the nose that shows spicy fruit with red cherry and floral as well as flinty and some underwood or herbal aromas. Intense and fleshy on the palate, this is an elegant, piquant and mouth-filling, juicy Riesling with lemon bitters on the crispy finish. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in July 2022. (SR)" (08/2022) 92 points James Suckling: "This may not be the biggest single-vineyard dry Riesling in Germany (other regions t...

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Dönnhoff "Felsentürmchen" Riesling Spätlese Nahe (93RP, 92JG, 90WS). Wine Advocate: "Donnhoff's 2007 Riesling Spatlese Felsenturmchen once again reflects a particular (cooler, stonier) portion of the Schlossbockelheimer Felsenberg high up and well back from the Nahe. Gentian, red currant, citrus oils, and a whiff of smoke in the nose usher in a rich, sappy, subtly creamy yet tremendously refreshing palate in which tropical mango and citrus meet Northern European red currant. A lick of salt adds invigoration to the long finish. This misses the dazzling complexity and subtlety of the Krotenpfuhl or the ethereal florality of the Kirschheck, but it is built to last, and over the next two decades I am sure there will be times when it overtakes them not to mention overwhelms those lucky enough to have cellared some with its beauty. (DS)" (10/2009)

95 points Wine Advocate: "In 2014 the Dönnhoffs bottled two different Spätlese Rieslings from their family cru Hermannshöhle. The regular 2014 Riesling Spätlese Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle shows a clear and aristocratic bouquet of great finesse. On the palate, this wine is so deliciously ripe, piquant, fine and elegant that it is almost mind-blowing. This is great and extremely cool, precise, finesse-full, frisky, filigreed and light-hearted, though still a serious Spätlese with a stimulatingly piquant finish. A great Spätlese -- one of the finest I had i...
