Bid on this bottle of 2001 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese Mosel (94JG). John Gilman: "The 2001 Spätlese AP #25 from the Wehlener Sonnenuhr is a bit young by my rule of thumb of twenty years for this vineyard site, but the wine is starting to drink awfully well at age fourteen. The beautiful and vibrant nose jumps from the glass in a blaze of pear, vanilla bean, bee pollen, a lovely base of slate, blossoming notes of tangerine, fresh almond, white lilies and a nice touch of currant leaf in the upper register. On the palate the wine is medium-full, pure and intensely flavored, with a lovely core of fruit, excellent acidity, superb filigree and a very long, complex and dancing finish. This wine is just on the cusp of its plateau of peak maturity, but will be here for another quarter of a century, so there is no reason to hurry to drink this wine any time soon!" (05/2014)
Starting Bid: $73.05

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Willi Schaefer Graacher Domprobst Riesling Spätlese #3 Mosel (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The floral aromas of the 2001 Riesling Spatlese Graacher Domprobst A.P. #0302 lead to a satin-textured, light to medium-bodied personality that magnificently juxtaposes gripping acidity with massive richness. Packed with red currants, cherries, candied limes, juicy green grapes, honeyed minerals, and quartz-like flavors, this wine has superb concentration, wonderful mouth-feel, and exceptional length. After tasting these resplendent vinous treasures all I could do was shake my head in bewilderment. Bravo! (PR)" (12/2002)
Starting Bid: $110.00

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2016 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Spätlese Riesling Mosel (1.5L) (96JS, 95JG, 94RP, 93VN, 93WS, 92JD). James Suckling: Welcome to the heart of the Mosel! A great floral beauty with an extremely precise balance of delicate fruit sweetness and filigree acidity. (06/2018)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1993 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese. Weingut Joh. Jos. Prüm was founded in 1911 by Johann Josef Prüm. Today it is owned and managed by Dr. Manfred Prüm and his daughter Dr. Katharina Prüm. They focus solely on Riesling from famous sites like Wehlener Sonnenuhr, Graacher Himmelreich, Zeltinger Sonnenuhr, and Bernkasteler Badstube. They are currently one of only nine wine estates in Germany ranked five stars by Gault Millau, which is the European wine world’s equivalent to the Michelin guide. Their Rieslings are renowned for their ageing potential and are sought after by collectors.
Starting Bid: $200.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2001 Joh. Jos. Prüm Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Spätlese Mosel (95WS, 93RP, 91WE). Wine Spectator: "A fantastic spätlese. Rich, succulent and harmonious, boasting peach, citrus and mineral aromas and flavors, all pure and displayed with finesse on a well-integrated structure. It picks up a creaminess and vanilla note on the endless finish. (BS)" (03/2003)
Starting Bid: $175.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1990 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese Goldkapsel Mosel (98WS, (94-95JG)). Wine Spectator: "Packed with fruit, minerals, acidity and sweetness, this masterpiece still needs time to show its best. The honeylike botrytis aromas are still undeveloped, but the intensity and brilliance of flavor are already stunning. Decades of aging potential." (03/1994)
Starting Bid: $330.00

Bid on this 4-half-bottle lot of 2003 Bert Simon Serrig Herrenberg Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese Mosel (375ml) (96WS). Wine Spectator: Cantaloupe, honey and candied lemon aromas and flavors mark this racy TBA. The combination of acidity and sweetness is intense, offsetting each other with a sweet-tart impression. Terrific finish. Drink now through 2035. 25 cases imported. (BS) (03/2005)
Starting Bid: $205.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1990 Joh. Jos. Prüm Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese Mosel. Just upstream from the famed Wehlener Sonnenuhr is the Graacher Himmelreich. With deeper, richer soils, this site is a little less steep and its southwest exposure ensures the wines from this site always have a racy and juicy acid background that really makes the wines sing.
Starting Bid: $300.00

Armed with awesome breadth, this ample, medium-bodied wine bursts forth with crystalline freshness and verve. Loads of quartz, tea, and pear-laced minerals can be detected in its complex, pure, exceptionally long personality. Projected maturity: 2006-2022. Bravo to Willi Schaefer for having crafted such beauties!" (10/2004)
