The San Lazzaro Estate is located near the village of Borgo Miriam (Offida) on the Eastern/Central coast of Italy, at an elevation of 900 feet above the Adriatic Sea, with southeastern exposure to the sun. In the back of the estate, one can admire the Apennine Mountains with peaks of over 10,000 feet. This area has a historical predilection to red grape varietals and the San Lazzaro vineyards are, in fact, rich with such native varietals as Sangiovese and Montepulciano. The new experimental varietals in their vineyards are grapes such as Sangiovese Gross...
97 points Wine Enthusiast: "Villa Bucci defines the greatness of the Verdicchio grape and the fact that it can age for many years. The 2018 continues this estate's streak of making amazing wine. This wine opens with a subtle note of salt pan, oyster shell and dried lemon zest. As the wine evolves more green apple notes develop. If you love Chablis, this is a wine for you. The palate is textured, layered and complex with minerality at its core and the lemon and apple flavors just standing guard. Drink now–2040. *Cellar Selection* (JP)" (07/2023) 91 poin...

Incredible wine, to enjoy with dinner. This Riserva Verdicchio from one of the Marche's best estates is not a simple quaffing white by a long shot! According to Robert Parker: "I have had occasion to taste numerous vintages of Bucci's Verdicchio, and it generally possesses more character than most Italian dry whites. Bucci's offerings tend to be more earthy, mineral-driven wines, with distinctive personalities as well as above average power and depth."

91 points Vinous: "The 2019 Rosso Conero mixes dark, succulent red fruits with cracked stone mineral tones and spiced citrus to create an utterly inviting bouquet. Soft in texture yet high in energy, this impresses for its sheer drinkability and zesty acidity; a salty flourish combines with tart berries throughout. While lightly structured and grippy, the 2019 is a total pleasure today, tapering off with a subtle herbal twang. This is, without a doubt, one of the best values of the region. It’s produced from the lowest portions of the Le Terrazze Rosso C...
