Produced from Loureiro and Pederña grapes grown in the granitic soils of the Vinho Verde region, the Santola (or as we here are calling it, "the crab wine") is a delicious, spritely, and refreshing white. It doesn't get much more traditional, thirst-quenching, or seasonally perfect than this wine. Delicious, low in alcohol, slightly fizzy, and way too easy to drink!

Sweeten's Cove Bourbon is one of the few Celebrity Bourbon brands to do it right. They tapped the best in the business, pulling out all the stops and all the strings to get great whiskey into the bottle. This unusual marriage of bourbons from the two great whiskey producing states is affectionately referred to as "Kennessee!" It asks playfully on the front, "did we just become friends?" But who wouldn't get friendly with these aged cask strength whiskies at this ridiculous price. Meticulously blended by former Castle & Key virtuoso Marianne Eaves, the wh...

A 'Top Value', Robert Parker: "The finest Spellbound wine is the 2009 Chardonnay (100% Chardonnay aged ten months in French oak). Aromas of buttered citrus, lemon oil and white peaches are offered in a medium-bodied, straightforward, well-made style." (08/11) The 2009 Spellbound Chardonnay features bright and lush tropical fruit flavors such as pineapple, banana, guava, and kiwi. These bright favors are balanced with notes of vanilla and classic creme brulee. Enjoy this wine on its own or with a variety of cuisine from the Pacific Rim to the fiery Southw...

93 points James Suckling: "Aromas of candied ginger, baked pear and fresh herbs. Full-bodied with a lovely, oily texture. Layered flavors of chamomile and lavender at the beginning, but turns toward fresh cream and then the note of candied ginger on the nose returns. Linear and balanced. Drink now." (02/2022)

90 points Vinous: "The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Gran Reserva Houssonet from Pirque, Alto Maipo, was aged for 12 months barrels. Garnet in color, the nose offers blackcurrant and cedar with a hint of bay leaf. In the mouth, it’s compact with grippy tannins and intense flavor. The fruit takes charge toward the end where a delicate oaky layers emerge. (JH) " (06/2022)

92 points Wine Advocate: "The 2020 Rótulo Dão Branco has a nose of fennel and licorice and is floral, clean, expressive and elegant. It was produced from grapes picked in August, mostly Bical and some Encruzado and Sercial too, varieties that keep very good freshness and acidity. It aged mostly in stainless steel, and 20% was in oak. The palate is mineral and austere. (LG)" (04/2024)

91 points Tim Atkin: "Combining two aromatic grapes is a smart idea, especially when one of them supplies much needed acidity to the blend. The cuvée here is an 85/15 mix of Torrontés and Riesling, showing white flower, quince and lemon peel flavours, a hint of orange zest and a dry, pithy, well-balanced finish." (06/2023)

Russian River Brewing Co. "Redemption" Blonde Ale, California (375ml) *NO SHIPPING OUTSIDE BAY AREA*
The brewery: "Redemption is the younger sister to our award-winning ale, Damnation. Fashioned after a Belgian-style 'single,' this ale is rarely brewed in America, let alone Belgium. Typically, 'singles' are brewed only at the Trappist Monasteries for the monks to enjoy with meals. They often drink only half a bottle with lunch and the rest with supper, despite the beer's low alcohol content. Redemption is modest in strength, robed in warm golden hues, and soft on the palate with a smooth dry finish." 5.0% ABV / 1.048 O.G / 23 BUs. DUE TO RUSSIAN RIVER ...

91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Malondro spent 12 months in 25% new French and American oak. It offers up an alluring bouquet of cedar, smoke, mineral, black cherry, and blueberry compote. Layered, dense, succulent, well-balanced, and long, it will drink well over the next six years. For those looking for Priorat-styled wines without the lofty price tag, Montsant is the place to search. From winemaker extraordinaire Cecile Chassagne comes our inaugural offering of this spicy little grenache/syrah number from the hills of Les Baux de Provence. More specifically, Cecile's family farm takes its name from the nutty and peppery Beruguette olive that dots the landscape around the domaine. The 2007 Beruguette rouge is an absolute pleasure to imbibe. On the nose, plush red berry fruits partner up with subtle notes of spicebox and cranberry notes. The french would aptly describe this wine as a "vin spherique", one that envelopes the palate with ...

Wine Enthusiast: "A fruity blend, certainly of Portuguese grape varieties to justify its name, this is fresh with apple and citrus flavors. (RV)" (07/2023) Wine Spectator: "Hints of herbs, white pepper and stone lace the flavors of Meyer lemon peel, pear and crunchy white peach in this tangy, light-bodied white. Fernão Pires, Arinto, Moscatel and Sauvignon Blanc. (AN)" (10/2024) K&L Notes: Fernão Pires, Arinto, Moscatel and Sauvignon Blanc.

91 points Wine Enthusiast: "This is a nice bit of off-dry fun. Star fruit and kiwi aromas are joined by traces of white clover and a sweet scent that reminded me of frosted animal crackers. Flavors of lime zest, guava, marzipan and amaretto cookies slip and slide all over the palate. A nice amount of acidity makes a perfect foil for the pronounced residual sugar. *Best Buy* (MA)" (07/2023)

90 points John Gilman: "The 2022 Rosé of Pinot Noir “Wiley Vineyard” bottling from Bravium Wines is pale salmon in color and delivers an impressively bright bouquet of strawberries, watermelon, salty soil tones, white flowers and a topnote of gently savory elements. On the palate the wine is bright, juicy and full-bodied, with a nice touch of vinosity, zesty acids and lovely focus and grip on the impressively long and complex finish. This is really a fine bottle of Rosé that would be a perfect stand in to accompany a red wine dish in warmer weather. " (0...
