This one-of-a-kind expression of agave was grown from seed and matured 8 years before being harvested. The high sugar content of the agave and skilled production work to create one of the most decadent and complex blanco on the market. This highly limited batch was bottled at 50% abv to capture all the character and depth of these special plants.

Casa Tequileña is owned and operated by Enrique Fonesca, known as El Arquitecto, a fifth-generation grower and master distiller who holds one of the largest plots of agave in the industry. This añejo is made to showcase oak without overshadowing the agave. The nose is amazing! It's subdued and begs to be coaxed, but incredible when it finally arrives with nutty aromas and toasted vanilla, neither too rich nor oaky. Warm baking spices follow on the palate, which is incredibly lean for an añejo! Black pepper and fruit show on the finish, along with more ro...

*Please note there has been a delay - updated ETA is mid-December* The highly anticipated follow up release from El Gran Legado De Vida's original Blanco Tequila. The Still Strength is finally here. The Tequila is made at the Cascahuin distillery (NOM 1123) has been generating quite the buzz. It is certified additive-free, and made using very ripe agaves grown in Michoacán. The agaves are cooked via steam injection in Cascahuin's traditional stone ovens for 3 days, then given an extra day to cool down before being crushed on the distillery's roller mill....

The Cascahuin Distillery is one of the most traditional and high-quality operations in the lowlands of Tequila. The name translates to "mountain of light," a reference to the mountain outside the town of El Arenal where it's located, which seems to attract lighting in every storm. Built in 1904 by the Rosales Family, not a lot has changed since then. They did replace their traditional tahona press with a roller mill in the 1980s, but recently reintroduced a tahona to the process to create a truly traditional tequila. This is the first release made with t...

92 points Wine Enthusiast: "Lemon curd and vanilla entice the nose. The rounded palate matches the sweetness of the aromas, suggesting lemon cream pie, vanilla cream and vanilla wafers, though it braces up into the finish, drying slightly with white pepper and cinnamon sparks. (KN)" (05/2021) K&L Notes: High proof, additive free reposado from Familia Landeros in Los Valles.

95 points Beverage Tasting Institute: "Deep, rich amber color. Rich aromas of sweet creamy vanilla, baked banana, tropical citrus fruits, and lavish brown spices. A round, lightly tannic entry leads to a rich, dryish full-bodied palate with toasty coconut, creamy vanilla, grilled pepper, and rich spice flavors. Finishes with a long fade of grilled tropical citrus, minerals, and spice. A superb, richly flavored añejo." (08/06) International Review of Spirits Award: Gold Medal.

Maestro Tequilero Alberto Partida rests this tequila in American ex-bourbon barrels for two months, helping it offer "romas of subtle butterscotch, fresh brick powder, light resin, and green pea shoots; the palate explodes with sweet roasted carrot, raspberry sherbet, soft baking spices, wet tile, faint orange rind, honeydew, and a finish of crème brûlée and golden beets," according to the importer. The traditionally produced Amatiteña brand is not from one of the facilities you'd usually associate with old-school tequila production. The distillery outs...

The high proof version of the excellent, traditionally-produced brand from the popular NOM 1477 - Puerto de Tequila distillery. Their other brands (Cava D'Oro, Adictivo and more) are extremely popular, but not produced with the same adherence to traditional production as the Amatitena brand. Here, the single-field agave is roasted in traditional brick ovens, pressed on tahona and fermented with wild yeast. Double distilled on small copper pots and bottled without the addition of water at 49% abv. It's one of the best examples of high proof traditional pr...
