2001 Antinori "Tignanello" Toscana
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Antinori "Tignanello" Toscana (93WE, 92RP, 92W&S, 91WS). Wine Enthusiast: "One of Italy's most recognized labels, this blockbuster 85-10-5% Sangiovese-Cabernet Sauvignon-Cabernet Franc blend evolves slowly and seductively under your nose to reveal blackberry, black cherry, graphite notes, well-integrated vanilla. The mouthfeel is lush and concentrated with silky smooth tannins and a long finish that revisits those gorgeous tobacco, berry and dusty notes." (11/2006)

2008 Fontodi "Flaccianello della Pieve" Toscana
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Fontodi "Flaccianello della Pieve" Toscana (97JS, 94RP, 93WS). James Suckling: "The pureness of fruit is so intense here. It's also so clean and beautiful. The wine shows fabulous aromas of flowers, blueberries, and raspberries. It’s full-bodied, with chocolate, licorice, and plums. The texture is very velvety. This is a wine in near perfect proportions. Best in four or five years." (09/2011)

2004 Tenuta San Guido "Sassicaia" Bolgheri
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Tenuta San Guido "Sassicaia" Bolgheri (97ST, 97WE, 94JS, 94WS, 93RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep ruby-red. Captivatingly intense yet refined aromas of ripe red cherry, mint, smoke and black truffle, complicated by lovely mineral and floral elements. Ripe, rich and velvety on entry, then concentrated in the middle, with flavors of red cherry, cassis, spices, bay leaf, dark chocolate and espresso. Amazingly well balanced and fresh wine, with sound, bright acids supplying wonderful lift and precision and smooth, noble tannins adding considerable power and grace. The finish goes on for minutes, highlighted by an enchanting floral-mineral quality; in my experience, the appearance of this strong floral component (in the absence of herbal or peppery aromas and flavors more typical of lesser vintages) at this early stage of development is typical of the greatest versions of Sassicaia. One of the top dozen Sassicaia bottlings ever." (01/2011

1968 Monsanto "Il Poggio" Chianti Classico Riserva
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1968 Monsanto "Il Poggio" Chianti Classico Riserva (97ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Amber red. Mesmerizingly beautiful, highly complex aromas of peach, raspberry jelly, red cherry, nail polish, orange peel, cloves, caramel, and chestnut; less marked by chestnut notes than the 1977. Very dense and full, with impressively sweet, highly concentrated flavors of red cherry syrup, delicate underbrush and licorice. The strong but harmonious acidity gives the flavors superb focus on the long, smooth, extremely broad finish. Truly profound and atypically aromatic red wine: when I asked Laura Bianchi where the wine's intense peach and nail polish notes were from, she candidly admitted that 10% of the grapes had been hit by noble rot, which also explains why this was never a darkly colored wine." 1977 Monsanto "Il Poggio" Chianti Classico Riserva
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1977 Monsanto "Il Poggio" Chianti Classico Riserva (93ST, 92RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: " Pale amber-red color. Aristocratic, highly complex nose hints at red plum, candied strawberry, tobacco, leather, licorice and dried flowers. Then fleshy and round on the palate, offering subtle red berry, chestnut and milk chocolate flavors. Finishes with sweet tannins and excellent grip and length. The early-season rain led many to conclude that this was a minor vintage, but I have always disagreed completely with this view. This was aged in chestnut barrels. " (02/2013)

2001 Bruno Giacosa "Falletto di Serralunga d'Alba" Barolo
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2001 Bruno Giacosa "Falletto di Serralunga d'Alba" Barolo (94RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2001 Barolo Falletto impresses for its layered, silky personality. Sweet roses, tar, licorice and menthol are all woven together in this deceptively medium-bodied Barolo. There is plenty of muscle to back things up. Today the Falletto is quite a bit more delicate than it has been in the past. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2021. (AG)" (04/2012)

2001 Antinori "Solaia" Toscana
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2001 Antinori "Solaia" Toscana (94RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep, dark sensations of smoke, tar and scorched earth emerge from the powerful 2001 Solaia. This fresh, vibrant offering is packed with dense ripe fruit. This is an especially rich, heavy style of Solaia that lacks the subtlety and grace of the finest vintages. Still, in 2001 Solaia is a more complete wine than Tignanello. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2021. (AG)" (01/2009)

2003 Montevetrano Colli di Salerno
Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2003 Montevetrano Colli di Salerno (94RP, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 Montevetrano is one of the revelations in this tasting. Layers of dark, baritone fruit form the building blocks, followed by suggestions of leather, spices and earthiness that add richness and complexity. Incisive and muscular throughout, the 2003 impresses for its overall sense of balance, something that was very hard to come by in this torrid vintage. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2025... Montevetrano is approximately 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Aglianico (the international varieties were planted on the existing Aglianico rootstocks) although the exact blend changes from year to year depending on vintage conditions. Imparato makes it clear she isn’t a big fan of giving the exact breakdown in each vintage, so readers should take the varietal blend as a rough guideline. Clearly there are a number of vintages where the Aglianico seems to come through with a

Full-bodied and powerful, with chewy tannins and a long, long finish. Massive yet balanced. What a wine. The greatest Saffredi ever made. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Alicante. Better than previously reviewed. Best after 2012." (10/2007)

Wine Spectator: "**Collectibles** Intense aromas and flavors of black currant, cherry, cedar and licorice are reminiscent of a fine Bordeaux. Concentrated, yet stylish and elegant, with great breed and a lingering aftertaste of fruit, spice and mineral. Delicious now, yet still very young. Best from 2014 through 2032." (10/2011)

2007 Giuseppe E Figlio Mascarello "Monprivato" Barolo
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Giuseppe E Figlio Mascarello "Monprivato" Barolo (97RP, 96WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Barolo Monprivato is stunningly beautiful. Monprivato is seldom this rich when it is young. It is most often intensely aromatic, mid-weight and frequently out of balance, especially right after bottling. The 2007 is none of those things. It is a rich, dramatic wine endowed with tons of fruit and a sweeping, enveloping personality. It is also primary and at the beginning of what is likely to be a long, long life. Despite its seeming fragility, Monprivato is one of the most long-lived of all Baroli, even in its weakest vintages. The 2007 is spectacular, but it is very, very young and in need of significant cellaring to shed some its baby fat." (10/2011)

Bid on this bottle of 2009 Gaja "Sori San Lorenzo" Langhe Rosso (96AG, 96JS, 96RP, 96WE, 95ST, 93WS). Antonio Galloni: "Gaja's 2009 Sorì San Lorenzo, on the other hand, is much more typical in its expression. Layers of juicy dark cherries, menthol, spices, tar, licorice and graphite flow across the palate as this powerful, masculine wine opens up in the glass. Balsamic infused aromas and flavors develop in the glass, adding considerable complexity and the signature of this great terroir, indisputably one of Piemonte's very finest."

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Tenuta San Guido "Sassicaia" Toscana (97WE, 96JS, 96RP, 94WS). Wine Enthusiast: " **Cellar Selection** Recently implemented winemaker and cellar changes make this one of the best Sassicaias ever. This Cabernet Sauvignon-Cabernet Franc blend delivers thick concentration and sun-kissed aromas of black fruit, prune, dried bay leaf, black olive and tobacco. The thick, fertile soils that characterize the magical strip of coastal Tuscany at Bolgheri help shape amazing richness and intensity."

Bid on this bottle of 2006 Tenuta dell'Ornellaia "Ornellaia" (97JS, 97RP, 97WE, 95WS). James Suckling: "This is complex and fascinating. At first taste it is like a great California Cabernet mixed with a first growth Bordeaux. Delicious licorice, mint, and currants on the palate. Full bodied, chewy, with ultra fine tannins. A gorgeous, classy wine that needs to be left in the cellar for at least 5 years. Have fun with this one after 2015."

Wine Enthusiast: "**Cellar Selection** Gaja’s classic Barbaresco is gorgeous in 2010, showing an intense perfume of violet, earth and ripe red fruits punctuated by balsamic notes. The palate delivers rich wild cherry notes layered with mint, cinnamon and eucalyptus. This is structured and elegant and will develop more complexity over time. Drink this after 2018." (09/2013)

Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2007 Manzone Barolo Bricat (94RP, 93JS, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Barolo Bricat is tighter and more focused than the 2007 Gramolere. Sweet dark cherries, menthol, licorice and spices are some of the notes that take shape in the glass. The vineyard's high altitude seems to have helped preserve a measure of freshness and vibrancy. The firm tannins could use another few years to soften. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2025. (AG)" (10/2011)
