Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Chardonnay Ritchie Vineyard has notes of nectarines, lemon oil, marmalade, roasted pineapple, and a hint of smoky, toasty oak, but a very subtle one. Stunningly rich, full-bodied, opulent, but with zesty acidity (a hallmark of all these 2005s), this wine looks set for 5-7 years of evolution." (12/2007)

"The 2000 Martha's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon has a wonderful varietal aroma layered with bright cherry fruit and just a whisper of mint that makes the wine distinctive. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Syrah (94RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Although production is tiny (300 cases), Araujo’s Eisele Vineyard Syrah is an ageworthy effort that is generally co-fermented with a small amount of Viognier (around 4%), and aged in French oak (50% new). The 2003 Syrah Eisele Vineyard reveals a wonderful blackberry, chocolate, and peppery-scented nose along with good subtlety as well as authoritative richness, power, and purity. It is a stunning Syrah that should last a decade even though it will provide immediate gratification. (RP)" (12/2006)

2007 Hundred Acre "Kayli Morgan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Hundred Acre "Kayli Morgan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A profound wine from a superb Napa vintage for Bordeaux varietals, the 2007’s nose may cause one to overdose on blue, black and red berry fruit. The extraordinary intensity, purity and depth in this rich, flamboyant, exuberant wine are mindboggling. This bigger-than-life Cabernet Sauvignon appears set for 20-30 years of aging. It can be drunk now, but because of its sweet, velvety tannins, it will still be offering sensational drinking in 2040. (RP)" (06/2012)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Sticks and Stones is a gorgeous, vibrant wine laced with sweet red cherries, licorice, mint and spices. There is a purity and sheer finesse here that is striking. Sweet floral notes add lift on the finish. This is a stunning, medium-bodied wine built on freshness, acidity and length. In 2010, the blend is 71% Grenache, 19% Mourvedre and 10% Syrah. What a great way to start this tasting. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2020. 2003 Ridge "Ponzo Vineyard" Russian River Valley Zinfandel
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2003 Ridge "Ponzo Vineyard" Russian River Valley Zinfandel. Connoisseurs Guide: "Quite clearly cut from different cloth than the rest of its relations from Ridge, this wine is leaner and firmer in build with bright berries overlain by a mild bit of spice. It is a wine that very much wants drinking with food, and its absence of heat and its essentially slightly snappy style make it a good match for veal piccata." (01/2006)

2006 Marcassin "Three Sisters Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Marcassin "Three Sisters Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (96RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Chardonnay Three Sisters Vineyard (700 cases) possesses a superb texture in addition to abundant amounts of popcorn, white currant, hazelnut, and tropical fruit blossom characteristics, superb purity as well as acidity, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and a beautiful finish. In a vintage that was challenging for many California Chardonnay producers, the Three Sisters and the 2006 Marcassin Estate Chardonnays stand out as candidates for 'wines of the vintage'. Given the history of the vintage and the challenging conditions for Chardonnay, I would suspect these wines will evolve quickly by Marcassin’s standards, meaning they are probably best drunk in their first decade of life." This dark ruby/purple-colored, seductive wine offers blazingly intense aromas of cigar box, smoky oak, and jammy black currants with a hint of Provencal herbs. Ripe and full-bodied, with low acidity, and a fleshy, succulent texture, it is a wine to drink over the next 14-15 years." (12/1998)

2009 Ovid "Experiment P4.9" Napa Valley Red Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Ovid "Experiment P4.9" Napa Valley Red Blend. Ovid's "Experiment" bottling always changes, as the team at Ovid--you guessed it--experiments with different wines and is inspired by the characteristics of new yield. Made by Austin Peterson with consulting winemaker Andy Erickson, the 2009 Ovid "Experiment" is a blend of 2/3 Cabernet Sauvignon, 1/3 Cabernet Franc, both from single clones. The Cabernet provides structure and depth, along with rich cassis and cocoa notes. The Cabernet Franc adds brightness and lift, in the form of red fruit and floral highlights in the nose, and earthy notes on the palate. Juicy dark berries, flowers, mint and cloves all come together nicely in the glass. Today, the 2010 is open and expressive, with soft, silky tannins and tons of near-term appeal, all qualities entry-level Cabernets should have. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Gemstone Yountville Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 91RP, 90ST, 89WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The inky/purple-hued 2003 Proprietary Red Wine, a blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, and the rest tiny portions of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, reveals copious notes of chocolate along with hints of melted tar, charcoal, black cherries, and currants. Full-bodied, dense, and well-balanced, it should drink well for 10-15 years. Interestingly, Paul Frank continues to sell much of his production to such high quality wineries as Pahlmeyer. 2009 Herb Lamb "HL Vineyards" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Herb Lamb "HL Vineyards" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon in original wood. Winemaker Mike Trujillo calls this "a more structured vintage than some, not as plump and fruit driven, but producing a more linear and focused wine. This wine has a lovely bouquet with a balance that is perfect for the weight of the wine. The nose is seamless, expressive and pretty, showing red fruits and a rich blueberry reduction. In the mouth you sense a richness of fig, ripe plum, deep black cherry and blackberry. You can feel the finesse and elegance on the palate that highlights the sweet red fruit flavors - cherry, currant, raspberry and red licorice. The similarities include the briary, wild herb scents of sage and thyme that complex the ripe red cherry pie filling fruit, cocoa, cola and licorice. 1990 Laurel Glen Sonoma Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1990 Laurel Glen Sonoma Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1990 Cabernet Sauvignon offers an even more spectacular nose than the 1991 (rated 93), largely because it has enjoyed an additional year of evolution. Smoky, cassis, herb, sweet, leathery, meaty aromas are as profound as in the 1991. The wine is even more unctuous and flattering. This full-bodied, gorgeously put together wine should be approachable young but last for up to 15-20 years. Proprietor Patrick Campbell's superb Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard on the slopes overlooking the Sonoma Valley has proven to be one of the finest sources for Cabernet in California. 1992 Philip Togni Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1992 Philip Togni Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This small 10-acre estate situated high on Spring Mountain produces some of the most distinctive Napa Valley wines. Since bottling, the 1992 Cabernet Sauvignon continues to display the remarkable richness and opulence it possessed from cask. The wine offers a saturated dark purple color, a jammy, plum, black-cherry, herb, and spice-scented nose, expansive, chewy, full-bodied flavors, superb depth, moderate tannin, low acidity, and a blockbuster finish. It should drink well for more than two decades. Togni's Cabernet Sauvignon, generally made from a Bordeaux-like blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc, and aged 22 months in small French oak casks of which 25-40% are new, is one of the richest, most complex Cabernets made in California. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Etude "Heirloom" Carneros Pinot Noir (96WE, 91ST, 90RP). Wine Enthusiast: "Etude's Heirloom bottling is vintage-driven, and the 004 is a great wine. It's a powerhouse that in its youth is full-bodied and almost heavy. It shows massive flavors of red currants, cherry pie filling, cola, figs and spices that taste like they were baked into a dessert pastry, except that the finish is thoroughly dry. What's hard to communicate is the wine's dazzling structure. Not meant to be opened now, it's a Pinot Noir to store through 2010, as it husbands its strength and gains bottle complexity." (12/2008)

Of the 2004 Nickel & Nickel "Sori Bricco" Diamond Mountain Merlot ,The winery's note writes: "High in the hills of Diamond Mountain, Sori Bricco spans a wide range of hillsides with different sun exposures resulting in separate harvest dates across the ranch. The soil is composed of a sandy, gravelly loam and the vines tend to be very small as they struggle against the slopes. The climate is very warm in the early spring and these vines are amongst the first to bud out each year. The warm summer months push these vines ahead of those on the v

Aged 22 months in mostly used oak (various sizes), it offers awesome purity and freshness in its black raspberry, cassis, ground herbs, white pepper and licorice-driven bouquet. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Alban "Seymour's Vineyard" Edna Valley Syrah (98RP, 96ST, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The succession of prodigious Syrahs continues with the 2006 Syrah Seymour’s Vineyard (named after John Alban’s father). An infant in terms of development, it exhibits a smoky meatiness along with a forest floor character as well as its siblings’ colossal level of concentration, enormous, multilayered texture, and skyscraper-like mouthfeel. Remarkably, there is no sense of heaviness. Another tour de force in Central Coast Syrah, it should drink well for 30-40 years. (98+)" (08/2009)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An inky/plum/purple color is accompanied by a stunning bouquet of violets, charcoal, creme de cassis and a hint of toast. Prodigious when it hits the palate with a full-bodied expansiveness, there is not a hard edge to be found in the 1997, only velvety tannins, compelling depth and fruit intensity, and stunning purity. It is a perfect expression of Napa viticulture and wine that should continue to age effortlessly for two decades or more. (RP)" (11/2013)

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Abreu "Madrona Ranch" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Madrona Ranch opens with an incredibly expressive bouquet. Espresso, mocha and licorice meld into dark red fruit and sweet exotic spices in this superb wine. The 2008 is an extraordinarily polished, refined wine for the vintage. Sweet spiced and floral notes reappear to round out the finish. The relatively high percentage of Cabernet Franc (37%) comes through in spades here. The blend is 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot and 4% Merlot. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2033. "

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Roberta’s Reserve State Lane Vineyard (96% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc) is virtually perfect. This offering is just as strong as the 2007, but slightly more forward and irresistible than the backward 2007. It boasts a dense inky/purple color as well as an extraordinary nose of blackberry liqueur intermixed with cocoa, forest floor, graphite and subtle hints of smoke as well as camphor. The wine reveals fresh acids, laser-like precision and an extraordinary plump, fleshy mouthfeel. Already approachable, it should evolve for 20-25+ years. (RP)"

Rita Hills Syrah,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "A Shot in the Dark is composed of 96.5% Syrah and 3.5% Viognier from the 11 Confessions Vineyard in the cool Santa Rita Hills. Performing better from bottle than it did from barrel, this prodigious red exhibits incredibly velvety tannins, a seamless style, and no noticeable oak (which is remarkable given the fact it spent 32 months in barrel). Harlan Pinot Noir (93RP). Of the 2000 Calera "Jensen Vineyard" Mt. Harlan Pinot Noir,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2000 Pinot Noir Jensen (yields of 1.06 tons of fruit per acre, or 15.9 hectoliters per hectare) exhibits a deep ruby/purple color as well as complex, sweet forest floor aromas intermingled with smoky, gamy, cherry and strawberry jam scents. This olfactory smorgasbord is followed by a big, firmly structured Pinot that requires 1-3 years of cellaring. Long, complex, and potentially superb, it will last for 12-15 years. It’s a beauty, but more backward, and less showy as well as open-knit on the palate than some of the other Calera Pinot Noirs." (04/2003)

2002 Vineyard 29 "Aida" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Vineyard 29 "Aida" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The new proprietary wine, the 2002 Aida, is a 650-case blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon and 39% Merlot. A remarkable offering from the Aida’s rocky soils, it is a full-bodied, deep purple-colored effort with a big, sweet nose of creosote, creme de cassis, raspberry, pepper, and a hint of garrigue (similar to the Zinfandel). In the mouth, it is tannic, full-bodied, concentrated, and surprisingly seamless. This wine can be approached now, but promises to evolve nicely for 10-15 years. (RP)" (02/2005)

2009 Spottswoode "Family Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2009 Spottswoode "Family Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 96WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another super-impressive effort, the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon boasts stunning depth and sheer power. Black currants, pencil shavings, mocha, incense and melted road tar are all woven together gracefully in this powerful, opulent wine. The tannins remain firm, so another few years of cellaring is a must. There is serious density and sheer power to burn. Today the 2009 is a touch less vibrant than the 2010, but more overt and voluptuous. A brooding, muscular finish rounds things out beautifully. The 2009 is 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2034. (AG)" (12/2012)

2001 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2001 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (95RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "(95+ points): This was a spectacular performance from this hallowed vineyard as well as one of Napa Valley’s great historic terroirs. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, it reveals a still youthful personality and will benefit from another 5-7 years of bottle age. An opaque purple color is followed by aromas of graphite, creme de cassis, flowers and background earth as well as spice. The old eucalyptus-filled aromatics of a young Martha’s Vineyard are nowhere to be found as the 2001 is dominated by fruit and earth. Full-bodied and powerful with superb integration of wood, tannin, acidity and alcohol, this large-scaled red is capable of three or more decades of cellaring. It is unquestionably a youthful classic, but it requires patience from its owners. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2035. (RP)" (06/2011)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2003 Kistler "McCrea Vineyard" Sonoma Mountain Chardonnay ((92-95RP), 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 Chardonnay McCrea Vineyard has a Chablisien character because of its striking mineral notes in addition to lemon zest, orange rind, and a hint of tropical fruit. It is medium to full-bodied, dense, rich, layered, backward and restrained, but powerful on the palate. (RP)" (02/2005)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard RBS, which is also from Clone 337 but from different blocks on the Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard, saw oak with 90% new Darnajou and 10% new Taransaud. This wine seems slightly more expansive, shares the black ruby/purple color with all of it siblings, and has a boatload of crème de cassis, incense, licorice, graphite and vanilla along with plenty of spice box and forest floor. This is a killer, full-bodied, super-duper, opulent Cabernet Sauvignon to drink over the next 20 years. (RP)" (10/2014)

2011 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon ((93-95RP), 93AG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Monte Bello (87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc) emerges from the glass with tobacco, grilled herbs, smoke, incense and plums melding together in this soft, beautifully textured Monte Bello. The 2011 is a wine of exceptional textural finesse. The 100% new oak is totally integrated. In 2011, Ridge used a total of 18 of a possible 24 lots for the final blend. The presence of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon is the highest since the 1980s. I expect the 2011 to be a relatively early drinking Monte Bello, but time will be the judge. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2031. 2004 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (97RP, 96WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A superb effort, the 2004 Chardonnay Lauren Vineyard exhibits huge notes of lemon oil, nectarines, quince, citrus blossoms, and crushed rocks/minerals. This big, rich, full-bodied Chardonnay boasts stunning acidity, a superb texture, and an amazing finish. This Chardonnay tends to be aged in 100% new oak (which is totally concealed) and is bottled without fining or filtration. 2004 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Syrah (94RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "(94+ points): Previously recommended, but no tasting note given. In a 12/2007 review with the same score: Syrah has done well in this climate, and the 2004 Syrah Eisele Vineyard is a more elegant, lighter-styled wine than I thought from tasting it last year. It is still well-delineated with a dark ruby/purple color, floral and blackberry notes, a subtle peppery touch and a hint of meat. The wine is pretty and does include a small percentage of Viognier in the blend (usually around 3-4%). Unfortunately, the production of this wine is only around 300-400 cases. One of California’s and the world’s great wine estates, Araujo continues to exhibit remarkable consistency and impeccably high quality. Little seems to change other than some minor tweaking with respect to viticulture and winemaking. The team of Bart and Daphne Araujo, their talented longtime winemaker, Francoi
