1995 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1995 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 94WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Araujo's Cabernet Sauvignon Eisele Vineyard has become a benchmark. I believe the 1995 is the finest produced under the Araujo regime. It is close to perfection. The wine combines extraordinary power and richness with remarkable complexity and finesse. The saturated purple/black color is followed by aromas of sweet vanillin intermixed with riveting scents of black currants, minerals, exotic spices, coffee, and toast. There is nothing garish about this subtle yet powerful giant of a wine. A Napa Valley classic, it is full-bodied and extremely rich, yet retains its sense of balance and symmetry. This fabulous Cabernet Sauvignon should age effortlessly for 30 or more years." (12/1998)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Cayuse "En Cerise Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (98WE, 96WS, 95RP, 94ST). Wine Enthusiast: "**Editors' Choice** The purity and potent, almost mystical aromas of the En Cerise Syrah conjure up flying carpet visions of purple and black fruits. The enticing aromatics have a citrusy lift, with orange peel and incense, like drinking a Persian rug. Amazingly complex, seamless, dense, and elegant, it’s a wine that never stops, as new flavors keep emerging the longer it breathes. " (12/2013)

2009 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96WE, 95AG, 94ST, 92JS, 91W&S, 91WS, 90RP). Wine Enthusiast: "This wine continues a long-standing tradition, showing a mastery of the art of blending. It's made using grapes that are sourced from at least six vineyards scattered from Yountville to St. Helena. Right out of the bottle, it's a soft, smoothly tannic wine that's rich in blackberry jam, black currant, blueberry, raspberry, dark chocolate and spice flavors. The wine, which contains small amounts of Petit Verdot and Malbec, is so powerful, it easily carries the 100% new French oak. Just gorgeous now, and it should develop bottle complexity for at least the next 10 years." (12/2012)

Of the 1988 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon,Antonio Galloni writes: "The 1988 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain is one of the many highlights in this tasting. Initially quite reticent, the 1988 turns positively explosive with time in the glass. What a pleasure it is to watch the 1988 develop over several hours. By the end of the night, the 1988 is positively electric. Smoke, black fruit and menthol inform the deep, powerful finish. " (02/2014)

1999 Turley "Hayne" Napa Valley Petite Syrah (Petite Sirah)
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1999 Turley "Hayne" Napa Valley Petite Syrah (Petite Sirah) (97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Potentially perfect, the 1999 Petite-Syrah Hayne Vineyard (475 cases, 15.2% alcohol) is a 50-year wine. If it is showing any age after a decade of cellaring, I will be as surprised as its producers. An opaque black/blue color is followed by an extraordinary perfume of blackberry and creme de cassis blended with spices, minerals, and earth. Frightfully tannic, with unreal concentration, texture, and length, this behemoth is one of the most concentrated wines I have ever tasted. (RP)" (02/2002)

1996 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1996 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (93RP, 92WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1996 exhibits a dark plum/ruby/purple color that is just beginning to lighten at the edge, surprisingly velvety tannins and a classic Pauillac bouquet of lead pencil shavings, cedarwood, black currants, sweet cherries and spice box. This medium to full-bodied, elegant, savory, broad wine is still five years away from full maturity. It should continue to drink well for another 10-15 years. (RP)" (08/2011)

Of the 2011 Schrader "Beckstoffer Las Piedras - LPV" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Schrader’s newest offering is the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard LPV, which comes from clone 337 of the Las Piedras site. This is a west side valley floor vineyard with a foundation of alluvial river pebbles and rocks as well as gravelly loam. The Schraders have a long-term lease on 5 acres, which, added to their 16 acres of Beckstoffer To Kalon and 5 acres of Beckstoffer George III, gives them some pretty serious leases on some of the finest terroirs in Napa Valley. The rich, full-bodied, dense and quite serious flavors possess an almost pungent minerality on the iodine-suffused flavors that culminate in a palate staining, explosive and mouth coating finish that is clean, very dry and moderately austere. 2012 Scarecrow "M. Étain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC)
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Scarecrow "M. Étain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 94RP, 92VN) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon M. Etain is in essence a second wine, but it sure doesn’t taste like one. Its deep purple color is followed by pure black raspberry and blackcurrant fruit, dusty, loamy soil notes, extraordinary depth of fruit, ripeness and good acidity. This opulent, round beauty is ideal for drinking over the next decade or more. One of the classic wines of Napa Valley, Scarecrow’s Cabernet Sauvignons are made by well-known winemaking consultant Celia Welch. This historic vineyard in Rutherford, which owns some of the oldest vines in all of Napa, continues to turn out some of Napa’s most profound Cabernet Sauvignons. (RP)" (10/2014)

Explosive aromas of red berries, licorice, chocolate and underbrush. Not particularly fleshy but juicy and sharply delineated, with terrific cut to the tangy dark berry and spice flavors. Given its firm spine of acids and tannins, this Volnay also boasts lovely charm and delicacy. Finishes very long and perfumed. (Incidentally, Boillot believes that his 2010s will remain open, but I'd still give this wine at least five or six years in the cellar, as it's likely to put on weight in bottle.)" (03/2013)

However, they are even more delineated on the more reserved but longer finale. In sum, this is beautifully balanced, understated and refined." (06/2010)

Allen Meadows - Burghound: "(from two parcels of vines that total 2.55 ha, or 22% of the entire appellation). This is arguably the most elegant wine in the range with its ultra-pure aromas of quinine, oyster shell, mineral reduction and floral elements. There is a caressing, even seductive mouth feel to the beautifully well-delineated and concentrated medium-bodied flavors that possess an almost delicate quality before culminating in an almost startlingly explosive finish that just goes on and on. This bone dry effort is an exercise in harmony and grace, or otherwise expressed, a classic Preuses." (09/2013)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine Joseph Drouhin Chablis-Les Clos Grand Cru (94ST, 93BH, (91-93RP), 93VN). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Pale bright yellow. Warm aromas of orange peel, pineapple, ginger and linden flower. Broad, sappy and intense, with a very tactile texture to the intense flavors of stone fruits, minerals and crushed stone. The mineral-driven finish builds slowly, leaving behind a flavor of crushed stone and a suggestion of baked bread. Offers a compelling blend of sunny-vintage character and inner-mouth tension. Bid on this magnum of 2008 Ducru-Beaucaillou, St-Julien (1.5L) (95RP, 94JS, 94WE, 92ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the stars of the vintage, and a remarkable achievement in 2008, with impressive richness, this dense purple colored wine is almost as opaque as the 2010. Spring flowers, crushed rocks, creme de cassis and some subtle oak are followed by a full-bodied, concentrated wine that transcends the vintage character in its power, richness, and aging potential. It also exhibits tremendous precision, purity, and depth of character. It is more forward than the 2010 is likely to be, but probably not as sumptuous as the 2009 will turn out to be. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, and 13% Cabernet Franc, the 2004 Facets of Gemstone exhibits a similar character, but more mocha, black cherry, chocolate, and espresso-like notes, a plumper, more lush sweetness (no doubt because of the higher percentage of Merlot), and great aromatics, texture, expansiveness, and length. It should improve for 2-5 years, and drink well for 12-15. (RP)" (12/2006)

2005 Alban "Seymour's Vineyard" Edna Valley Syrah
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Alban "Seymour's Vineyard" Edna Valley Syrah (96RP, (93-96ST), 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From a cooler year, the 2005 Syrah Seymour’s Vineyard exhibits a more European personality than the classically Californian 2004. The 2005 reminds me of a broodingly backward, dark purple-colored Hermitage from the northern Rhone. Aromas of scorched earth, creme de cassis, truffles, and graphite emerge from this cuvee. With remarkable density, structure, precision, and freshness as well as sensational equilibrium (despite its weight and intensity), it should be at its finest between 2012-2025+. The wines of John and Lorraine Alban are about as spectacular as one can find anywhere in the world. Alban is committed to aging his big Syrahs longer in barrel, believing it will concentrate the wines and add additional complexity. (RP)" (06/2008)

With unbelievable intensity, a great, full-bodied mouthfeel, stunning purity, a subtle hint of wood, but no hard edges, this is one 2009 that does not have that broodingly tannic structure that is common in this vintage. 1997 Philip Togni Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 1997 Philip Togni Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (98RP, 98VN, 92ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon has to be one of the great buys left for profound Napa Cabernet. He’s done the aging for you, and of course the wine is still an adolescent in terms of aging potential. Brilliant notes of cedar, spice box, cassis, smoke, and licorice soar from the glass, as if this wine were pretending to be a first-growth Pauillac. Full-bodied, powerful, still with a boatload of tannin to resolve, and just a faint lightening of the dense purple color at the rim, this is a brilliant wine from a vintage that produced relatively quick-evolving wines, but no such thing is tolerated at Philip Togni. This is a great Cabernet Sauvignon with the exuberance, purity, and richness of fruit that Napa provides, but with a Bordeaux structure that Togni, with his Bordeaux upbringing, somehow builds into the wine. This wine will continue to drink well for

2012 Bevan "Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard" Napa Valley Proprietary Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Bevan "Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard" Napa Valley Proprietary Blend (100RP, 95VN, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another perfect wine is Bevan’s equal part blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the 2012 Proprietary Red Sugarloaf Mountain. Notes of unsmoked cigar tobacco, forest floor, pen ink mulberries, blackberries and spring flowers soar from this inky/purple-colored 2012. The wine possesses great intensity, remarkable unctuosity and thickness, and perfect integration of acidity, alcohol, tannin and wood. Aged in equal parts new Gamba and Darnajou barrels, there are 225 cases of this fabulous wine. Drink now-2032. (RP)" (10/2014)

2009 Bodegas Alto Moncayo Garnacha Campo de Borja
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Bodegas Alto Moncayo "Aquilon" Campo De Borja (100RP, I tend to drink Alto Moncayo during its first 5-6 years of life. Although I was sure they had aging potential, I did not realize just how much longevity these wines possess. They are generally full-bodied, powerful (with at least 15.5% natural alcohol), concentrated, rich wines made from very old vines and tiny yields. If you are not into flavor concentration or care about artisanal wines from great terroirs that have been ignored for centuries, this may not be the wine for you. Not one of these ten vintages was close to full maturity. I gave perfect scores to the prodigious 2007 and 2009, two of the greatest expressions of old vine Grenache from the province of Aragon that anyone could have desire." 11/01/2013

Of the 2005 Darioush Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Connoisseurs Guide writes: "**Two Stars** Once again, Darioush races to the top of the listings with a big, rich, hedonistically overachieving Cabernet, but unlike last year's * * * winner, this one is somewhat tighter and age-demanding than its predecessor. It is in the nature of the 2005 vintage that it seems to produce somewhat less lush, plush wines, and there are those who will applaud and those who will miss the genuine juiciness of Darioush's 2004. By comparison, this wine seems to have a foot in two camps, but that only makes it a bit different rather than less desirable." (04/2008)

Of the 2009 David Arthur "Three Acre" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Wine Enthusiast writes: " *Cellar Selection* This is flashy and impressive for the sheer power and concentration of its fruit. Intense blackberry and cassis flavors sink deep and last long, accompanied by strong, new French oak and considerable tannins. It’s a wine that needs serious cellar time; eight years from now, it could still be a baby." (11/2012)

Bid on this bottle of 2011 Bond "Matriarch" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (91VN, 90RP, 90ST). Vinous: "The 2011 Matriarch is soft, silky and quite pretty. Naturally the 2011 is a smaller-scaled wine than normal, but there are no hard edges. I would prefer to drink the 2011 over the next few years, while the fruit is supple and forward. Hints of red cherry, mint and tobacco add to an overall impression of graciousness. " (12/2014)

2012 Continuum Oakville Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Continuum Oakville Bordeaux Blend (96VN). Vinous: " Ripe, silky tannins wrap around the palate in the 2012 Continuum. Bright red cherry, plum, spice, menthol and hard candy meld together effortlessly in the glass. The 2012 captures the polished, refined side of the vintage. This is perhaps the most refined wine I have ever tasted from Continuum. The flavors are bright and focused, while the new oak has been decidedly toned down, both of which allow the personality of these breathtaking hillsides sites to shine. The 2012 is the first Continuum to be made entirely with estate grown fruit. (AG)" (12/2014)

Of the 2006 Drinkward Peschon "Entre Deux Mères" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The partnership between top-notch viticulturist Lisa Behrens and well-known Araujo winemaker, Francoise Peschon has created another beautiful, elegant, Bordeaux-styled wine that represents 532 cases from a blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot. Deep ruby/purple-hued with a sweet nose of black cherry, black currant, forest floor, roasted herb, licorice, and spice box aromas, this elegant, full-bodied 2006 exhibits sweet tannin, a judicious touch of toasty oak, and decent acidity. 2012 Dana Estates "Onda d'Oro" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Dana Estates "Onda d'Oro" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95JS, 95RP, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The largest case production is the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Onda, which is essentially their second wine culled from the top lots of Lotus, Hershey, Helms and Crystal Springs. It’s a blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot (888 cases) that spent 20 months in 70% new French oak. The wine is deep ruby/purple, exhibits crème de cassis notes with some incense and subtle charcoal. It’s medium to full-bodied, silky smooth and clearly meant to be the wine that most consumers would want to drink earlier than the more saturated and denser single-vineyard wines. This should drink nicely for at least another 10-15 years. (RP)" (10/2014)

2003 Diamond Creek "Gravelly Meadow" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2003 Diamond Creek "Gravelly Meadow" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (90CG). Connoisseurs Guide: "Mildly minty in scent, awash in rich oak and smelling of sweet, well-ripened cherries, this bottling turns out to be a bit rounder in feel and flavor compared to its sibling-as its relatively open aromas clearly suggest. It shows fine fruity depth and the usual Diamond Creek tannins, but it is a little less sturdy in character and not so tough at the finish. Not at all ready to drink, it has a long future before it and looks to be a few years ahead of its mates on the aging curve." (08/2006)

The sweet, broad, expansive mouthfeel, full-bodied texture, impressive purity and long finish suggest this Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon has hit its peak where it should remain for another 10-15+ years. 2012 Fairchild Estate "Sigaro Vineyard" St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Fairchild Estate "Sigaro Vineyard" St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon (94VN, 93RP). Vinous: "A dark, sumptuous beauty, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Sigaro has developed nicely over the last year. Savory, floral and mineral notes add nuance to the intense, racy fruit in this voluptuous Cabernet Sauvignon. A creamy, textured finish laced with hints of iron, sage and anise rounds things out beautifully. The 2012 isn't quite as explosive as it was last year most likely the result of its bottling a few months before this tasting. (AG)" (10/2014)

1982 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1982 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac (100JS, 100RP, 98ST, 98WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine remains one of the legends of Bordeaux. It has thrown off the backward, youthful style that existed during its first 25 years of life, and over the last 4-5 years has developed such secondary nuances as cedar and spice box. The creme de cassis, underlying floral note, full-bodied power, extraordinary purity, multilayered texture, and finish of over a minute are a showcase for what this Chateau accomplished in 1982. The wine is still amazingly youthful, vibrant, and pure. It appears capable of remaining fruity and vibrant in 2082! Thank God it is beginning to budge, as I would like to drink most of my supply before I kick the bucket. This is a great, still youthful wine, and, on occasion, one does understand the hierarchy of Bordeaux chateaux when you see the complexity and brilliance of this first-growth." (06/2009)
