2010 Castiglion del Bosco Brunello di Montalcino
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Castiglion del Bosco Brunello di Montalcino (96JS, 94RP, 94WS, 91VN). James Suckling: "Fabulous aromas of oranges, peaches and mahogany follow through to a full body with rich, chewy tannins and a long, flavorful finish. This is dense, tight, powerful, compressed and incredibly structured. Needs four to five years of bottle age to come out of its dormancy." (01/2015)

2004 La Fortuna Brunello di Montalcino
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2004 La Fortuna Brunello di Montalcino (92RP, 92WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "La Fortuna's 2004 Brunello di Montalcino is especially beautiful in this vintage. The wine is remarkable for its density, richness and concentration, all of which have been achieved while maintaining clarity and freshness. The French oak is beautifully integrated in this sumptuous, generous Brunello. Suggestions of flowers and spices add notes of brightness on the finish. The Brunello spent a whopping 40 months in 25-hectoliter medium-sized casks prior to being bottled. (AG)" (06/2009)

2008 Navarro "Deep End Blend" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2008 Navarro "Deep End Blend" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir. Navarro's favorite Pinot Noir, the Deep End Blend, is an old Boontling term for the chilly northwestern edge of the Anderson Valley where the grapes, cooled by ocean breezes, mature slowly and ripen late. This wine is a blend of Navarro's best lots from the estate's best Deep End vineyards aged in the best barrels so it is a special wine that is only produced in a limited quantity.

2014 Brand Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2014 Brand Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon  (96RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 22 months in 70% new French oak, is a relatively limited cuvée of 300 cases. It is a stunner, with an opaque purple color, a big sweet kiss of blackberry and crème de cassis, a touch of camphor and incense followed by a lush, full-bodied wine with layers of fruit and glycerin. The wine is dense, impressive and both hedonistic and intellectually satisfying. It should drink well for at least 15-20+ years. (RP) 96+" (10/2016)

2012 Castello di Amorosa "La Castellana" Napa Valley Red Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Castello di Amorosa "La Castellana" Napa Valley Red Blend (90RP, 90VN, 90WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Proprietary Red Blend La Castellana is composed of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Sangiovese and 9% Merlot. In central Italy, a wine such as this would be called a Super Tuscan. This outstanding offering reveals background oak, hints of new saddle leather, blackcurrants, cherries, licorice and underbrush, a medium to full-bodied mouthfeel, supple tannins, good acidity and a generous mouthfeel. The result is a wine that begs for a grilled Florentine steak. (RP)" (10/2014)

1974 Robert Mondavi Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1974 Robert Mondavi Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93VN). Vinous: "Medium red. Sexy ripe aromas of plum, prune and dates are accented by cedar, eucalyptus and caraway seed. At once penetrating and suave on the palate, conveying a fine-grained texture and terrific energy for a 42-year-old Cabernet. Finishes with perfectly integrated, ripe tannins and lovely length and verve. Very sexy juice with considerable class. It strikes me that a bottle of this wine could not possibly cause a hangover. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Anderson's Conn Valley "Eloge" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (93VN). Vinous: "The 2011 Eloge is fruity and relatively easygoing. Over the last year, the 2011 has softened up a bit, although from time to time some slightly more angular, rustic contours are evident. Dark red and black fruit, leather, smoke, earthiness, spices and licorice all flow through to the pungent, bold finish. The 2011 is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 15% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. (AG)" (12/2014)

Wine Enthusiast: "Made from various St. Helena vineyards, with some additions from eastern Oakville, it expresses all the beauty of Napa Valley Cab. The flavors of blackberries, black currants, chocolate, licorice and smoky cedar are absolutely delicious. Yet the wine possesses structure, not the easiest thing to achieve with a 100% Cabernet this rich. The wine should age well through 2020, but there's no reason not to drink it now." (07/2014)

2009 Philip Togni "Tanbark Hill" Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Philip Togni "Tanbark Hill" Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Tanbark Hill is a rich, voluptuous wine graced with layers of expressive fruit, smoke and tobacco. It shows quite a bit of depth for this bottling. Licorice, crushed flowers, spices and mint wrap around the plush, inviting finish. This is all elegance and class. In 2009 one-third of the production was bottled as Tanbark Hill. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2019...Togni hardly needs an introduction to lovers of fine Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Since his epic 1969 Cabernet Sauvignon at Chappellet, Togni has crafted a series of impeccable, breathtaking wines. It is amazing to consider that Togni's wines remain so reasonably priced when an endless number of new wineries with no track record seem to pop up every day with first releases well over $100 a bottle." Connoisseurs Guide: "This year's version of Insignia is a stunning wine that vies for very top honors of the vintage. Its utterly enveloping aromas of perfectly ripe currants, creamy oak and dried violets are followed up in the mouth with wonderfully extracted, carefully proportioned Cabernet flavors that go on and on. The wine is lush yet solidly structured with a fine sense of balance and tannin right where it should be, and, as good as the wine will be in its youth, it will be better yet with age. *Three Stars, Wine of the Year in 2008* " (12/2008)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford shows a black cherry and kirsch-like component often seen in top Rutherford Cabernets, with an almost Margaux-like delicacy and a dense ruby/purple color. It has a medium to full-bodied mouthfeel, sweet tannins, beautiful purity and texture and incremental richness that builds gently and graciously. 2005 Reignac, Bordeaux Supérieur
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Reignac, Bordeaux Supérieur (93RP, (88-90ST), 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From a large 200-acre vineyard, this blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon comes from a high plateau near the village of Saint-Loubès. A consistently over-achieving wine that is far superior to its humble appellation (Bordeaux Supérieur), the 2005 may be one of the all-time great Reignacs. Inky purple, almost black to the rim, the wine looks like a two-year-old rather than one that’s already hit a decade. Proprietors Yves and Stephanie Vatelot have turned out a superlative effort in this vintage that is cru classé quality. Dense crème de cassis, some graphite, spice box and cedar wood are all present in this full-bodied, super-concentrated, and remarkably impressive Reignac that has terrific purity, texture and length. Drink it over the next decade. (RP)" (06/2015)

Of the 2012 Realm Cellars "The Tempest" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2012 Proprietary Red Blend The Tempest (55% Merlot from the Beckstoffer To-Kalon Vineyard, 22% Cabernet Franc from the Kenefick Vineyard, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon from Farella Vineyard and 5% Petit Verdot from the Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard) possesses a complex bouquet of licorice, barbecue smoke, incense, blueberries and black cherries infused with mocha and a whiff of freshly brewed coffee. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Shafer "Relentless" Napa Valley Syrah (96CG, 95RP, 94WS, 93WE, 91ST). Connoisseurs Guide: "It is no exaggeration to say the 2007 version may just be the best Relentless to date, but even if not, it is a deep and formidable wine by any standard. Its inky appearance correctly implies a wine of great weight and extract, but, what separates this bottling from its equally well-filled predecessors is its terrific sense of structure and balance. It is tough to be sure, but it never lets go of its plentiful, peppery, blackberry fruit, and it will not come close to showing its best until at least another decade has passed. *Three Stars* " (03/2011)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2004 Vega Sicilia "Unico" Ribera del Duero (98WE, 97RP, 96VN, 94WS). Wine Enthusiast: "Lightly baked and hinting at raisin and fine herbs, the bouquet on this benchmark Spanish red enfolds aromas of tobacco, moss and ripe tomato. In the mouth, it’s elegant and silky but also full and expansive. Flavors of baked berry fruits, baking spices, herbs and cocoa finish with a light coating of toast. This is an amazingly complete, exemplary wine that’s just entering its prime. If past vintages of Unico are an indication, it will age well through 2035. (MS)" (05/2015)

2007 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There is something about the inky/purple-hued 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To-Kalon Vineyard CCS (clone 4) that blows me away. The most opulent, perfumed, and accessible of these wines, it exhibits an opaque purple color as well as an extraordinary density and richness in addition to copious creme de cassis, cedar, ink, and spice box characteristics. As with all of these wines, there is a seamless integration of acidity, tannin, wood, and alcohol in addition to phenomenal length and ripeness. The multidimensional personality and full-bodied style, with both power and elegance, is compelling. This amazing effort can be drunk now, but it will be even better in 4-5 years, and should unfold gracefully over the following 30+ years. (RP)" (12/2009)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Tychson Hill Vineyard is a rival for the 2012. Opaque purple, with blueberry and blackberry fruit, a hint of incense and subtle toast, the wine has great intensity, incredible richness and, again, a floral blue- and black-fruited nose and flavor profile that is remarkable. The finish goes on for close to a minute. This is slightly more tightly knit than the more ostentatious 2012, but both are wines to taste and drink before you die! (RP)" (10/2015)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Pinot Noir Kistler Vineyard (made primarily from the Calera clone), which sees one-third new oak and is 100% destemmed, possesses lots of raspberry and black cherry fruit intermixed with hints of underbrush and forest floor, and a nice meatiness to its texture. There has been a progressive trend by Kistler’s winemaking team and owners to harvest at slightly lower sugars, back off slightly on the percentage of new oak used, and bottle their wines earlier. All of this is designed to preserve as much fruit and freshness in the wines as possible. (RP)" (12/2013)

It was produced using 42% whole cluster and aged for around 21 months in French oak, 6% new (bottled June 21, 2017). Leroy wines are ranked highly in the negociant hierarchy with many of the bottlings being very highly sought. Deep purple to the rim with a gorgeous nose of blackberry liqueur intermixed with blueberries, smoke, licorice, roasted meats, and herbs, the wine has fabulous concentration, a multi-layered mid-palate, and a blockbuster finish with sweet tannin and plenty of opulence. Drink it over the next 12-14 years. For the last 7-8 years, this has been one of the best-run estates in Chateauneuf du Pape. Alain Jaume and his two capable sons, Sebastien and Christophe, continue to propel Domaine Grand Veneur into the upper echelon of quality. They also offer an impressively well-made negociant line of wines (under the name Alain Jaume). The hallmarks of the Grand Veneur wines include their extraordinary purity of flavor and impeccable balance. Moreover, they

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine J-F Mugnier Bonnes Mares Grand Cru (OWC - 94BH, (91-94RP), 94VN) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Bonnes-Mares comes across as a bit reticent. An expressive bouquet laced with dark berries, crushed rocks and graphite leads to a pretty core of dark red fruit. The generous, fleshy finish is the best thing about the Bonnes- Mares. As good as this is, it isn’t as compelling as I had hoped. It’s hard to believe I did not catch the Bonnes-Mares during an awkward stage. Today, some of the magic is missing. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2040. (AG)" (12/2011)

1986 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1986 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I did not pick this out as Dominus in the blind tasting, largely because it came across as such a young, rich, blockbuster wine. One of the richest, densest, most concentrated offerings in the entire tasting, it also proved to be one of the best-balanced, with better integration of acidity and tannin than many 1986s exhibited. The color remains a deep, dark ruby, with purple hues. Dense, concentrated, and pure, with copious quantities of cassis fruit intermingled with earth, spice, and minerals, this large-scaled, concentrated wine appears to have aged at a glacial pace since I first tasted it. Accessible because of its well-integrated, low acidity, this wine should continue to evolve and drink well for another 15-20 years. Very impressive. (RP)" (08/1996)

1976 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1976 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. 1976 was a banner year for Stag's Leap Wine Cellars, when their 1973 Cabernet, made by Warren Winiarski, grabbed the gold in the famous Judgement of Paris tasting, besting top-ranked Bordeaux wines such as first-growths Château Mouton Rothschild and Château Haut-Brion. From that moment on, Stag's Leap and Winiarski have played a defining role in the new California wine movement, and have been ranked among the world's most noteworthy Cabernet producers.

Perfumed, subtle aromas of raspberry, minerals and sexy oak. Sappy, pure and youthfully tight, with lovely density and definition to the flavors of raspberry, coffee and spicy oak. Finishes broad, dense, spicy and very long. This is superb for the year. (ST)" (03/2008)

2012 Casanova di Neri "Tenuta Nuova" Brunello di Montalcino
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Casanova di Neri "Tenuta Nuova" Brunello di Montalcino (96JS, 96RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This edition of Casanova di Neri's celebrated single-vineyard wine opens to a luminous garnet color and exuberant fruit aromas. The 2012 Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova offers a lot to the bouquet, from sweet cherry aromas to savory tones of tobacco and leather. This wine shows a powerful inner motor of flavor concentration and density that propels it forward. All that density and richness wraps thickly over the palate. This is a lasting wine of brawn and muscle. (ML)" (02/2018)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 96ST, 95CG, 95WE, 95WS, 93W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Monte Bello ,72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot and 6% Petit Verdot is simply magnificent. Layers of dark red fruit, flowers, spices and graphite are all woven together in this utterly impeccable wine. The 2009 is an especially huge, intense Monte Bello, yet a sexy, silky core of fruit lies within its imposing frame. Everything comes together in this glorious, radiant wine. Last year the 2009 had some pretty stiff competition from the 2010, but today it is simply firing on all cylinders. Eric Baugher describes 2009 as a year with cold weather early on, followed by heat in early June and July. The fruit was brought in on October 12, just before an intense downpour swept through the region. There is a purity and silkiness supported by structure in the 2009 that is impossible not to admire. Simply put, this i

Intense and deep, with great purity and elegance, a firmly wrought structure and a long finish. The harmony between fruit, tannins and acidity should allow this to age beautifully. 2012 Chapelle d'Ausone, St Emillion (OWC)
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Chapelle d'Ausone, St Emillion (OWC - 93RP, 92VN) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One can’t say enough about the amazing job that Alain Vauthier and his daughter have done at this historic property on the decomposed limestone slopes of St.-Emilion. About half of their production goes into the second wine, Chapelle D’Ausone, which gives you an indication of the compulsive perfectionist attitude of the Vauthiers. The 2012 Chapelle D’Ausone has a dense ruby/purple color and is rich, broad and expansive, with notes of plum, blueberry and black raspberry fruit, powdered chalk and flowers. The wine is medium to full-bodied, beautifully pure and long and rich. This is better than many of the vintages of Ausone in the 1940s, 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s, which says a lot about what Vauthier has achieved. Drink it over the next 20-25 years. (RP)" (04/2015)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2013 Billaud-Simon Chablis Grand Cru "Les Clos" (92BH, 90RP). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is less exotic though that is not to say that there is none to the smoky nose that is comprised primarily mineral reduction notes. There is good ripeness, concentration and power to the medium weight flavors that manage to retain solid delineation before culminating in a driving finish. As the typical Les Clos goes this is a good deal more forward and should drink well young." (10/2015)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Looking at the Chateauneufs, and a gorgeous example of the vintage as well as one of the top wines, Laurent’s 2011 Chateauneuf du Pape (85% Grenache and the balance Syrah, Mourvedre and Vaccarese) offers up an elegant, seamless profile with pretty aromas and flavors of sweet cherries, licorice, rose petal, ground pepper and garrigue. Medium to full-bodied, pure and with building richness, it has a glossy, textured profile on the palate that’s hard to resist. While approachable, it has the mid-palate, freshness and overall balance to evolve gracefully for 10-12 years. Drink now-2023. (JD)" (10/2013)

2010 Dal Forno Romano Valpolicella Superiore
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Dal Forno Romano Valpolicella Superiore (95JS, 95RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Valpolicella Superiore Monte Lodoletta is more precise and focused compared to the 2011 edition that I tasted at the estate at the same time. This was not an easy vintage in Valpolicella compared to other parts of Italy that enjoyed a classic growing season. Instead, this Northern corner of Italy suffered from heavy rains and some hail damage. Overall yields were lower as a result. But the wine sings in terms of its brightness and aromatic intensity today. The expressive bouquet covers all the bases from black fruit to spice to drying mineral or flint. All of these elements conspire to bring robust flavors together with smooth and seamless transitions. (ML)" (05/2017)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Released seven years after the harvest, the 2010 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Poggio al Vento is a stunning wine. It soars to the highest altitudes in terms of elegance and power. These opposite forces—muscle versus grace—are what distinguish this classic vintage. Col d'Orcia has effortlessly captured and immortalized both sides of the continuum. The bouquet produces a long succession of aromas including dried cherry fruit, licorice, cola, lavender flower, cured meat and black truffle. The velvety finish is supple and long in persistence. This is a gorgeous creation. (ML)" (02/2017)

2010 Domaine de Marcoux Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine de Marcoux Châteauneuf-du-Pape (93RP, 93ST, 92JD). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape was fashioned from yields of 12 hectoliters per hectare and is a blend of 74% Grenache, 14% Mourvedre, 9% Syrah and 3% Cinsault aged primarily in cement tanks with one-third spending time in truncated wood foudres. It exhibits a deep ruby/purple color, stunning concentration and lots of raspberry, cassis, blueberry and acacia flower notes. With plenty of glycerin, sweet tannin, a long, heady finish and 15%+ alcohol, it should evolve effortlessly for 15 or more years. One of the classic family-owned domaines in Chateauneuf du Pape (of which there are many), Domaine de Marcoux is run by two dynamic sisters, Sophie and Catherine Armenier. The estate, which can trace its history back to 1344, has only been estate bottling since 1978.
