2008 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien
Bid on this bottle of 2008 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien (96VN, 95JS, 95WE, 94WS, 93RP, 93ST). Vinous: "The 2008 Léoville Las Cases has a backward, broody, earthy bouquet with intense tobacco and graphite aromas, more like a Pauillac than a Saint Julien, no surprise given that it lies on the border. The palate is very impressive: layers of tobacco-tinged black fruit, sea salt and graphite. This is very precise and harmonious with a persistent and multi-layered finish that leaves you mightily impressed. (NM)" (02/2018)

2006 Marchesi de Frescobaldi Tenuta di Castiglioni Giramonte Toscana IGT
Bid on this bottle of 2006 Marchesi de Frescobaldi Tenuta di Castiglioni Giramonte Toscana IGT. Vinous: "Tenuta di Castiglioni's entry-level 2006 Tenuta di Castiglioni is 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Sangiovese that spent 12 months in French oak. This plump, juicy wine offers notable harmony in a soft, fruit-driven style. Even though there isn't much varietal or regional identity here, readers looking for a easygoing, fun red will want to consider this offering. (AG)" (06/2008)

2010 Montrose, St-Estèphe
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Montrose, St-Estèphe (100RP, 97JS, 97WS, 96WE, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is considered to be among the greatest vintages ever made in Montrose, right up with the 1929, 1945, 1947, 1959, 1961, 1989, 1990 and 2009. Harvest was October 15 to 17. The wine has really come on since I last tasted it, and it needs at least another 10 years of cellaring. The blend was 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. The wine is opaque black/blue, with an incredible nose of blueberry and blackberry liqueur, with hints of incense, licorice, and acacia flowers. Tannins are incredibly sweet and very present. The wine is full-bodied, even massive, with great purity, depth and a finish that goes on close to a minute. This is a 50- to 75-year-old wine that will repay handsomely those with good aging genes. 1994 Philip Togni Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1994 Philip Togni Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As is the practice at this winery, they hold back 50 or so cases of their finest vintages for release after a decade. The current release of their library selection is the 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon, a magnificent effort that, for me, is one of Togni’s six or seven finest wines. Its deep plum/purple color reveals only a touch of lightening at the edge. A glorious perfume offers up aromas of plums, figs, creme de cassis, smoke, hickory spice, and high quality cigar tobacco. In a blind tasting, this California Cabernet could easily be mistaken for a great Pauillac given its structure, density, richness, and perfume. This 1994 is just beginning to move into its adolescence. Even though it has 20-25 years of life remaining, it is approachable. It is a monumental Cabernet Sauvignon from one of the valley’s legacy producers. (RP)" (02/2005)

2013 Petite Eglise, Pomerol (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2013 Petite Eglise, Pomerol (1.5L) (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 La Petite Eglise, which Denis Durantou poured from magnum since this is how the entire production was bottled, has a precise and fragrant bouquet with crushed stone scents filtering through the red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannin, tensile and fresh in the mouth, not powerful or deep, but lively and playful from start to finish. This is worth seeking out. (NM)" (10/2016)

2015 Sena Red Blend, Aconcagua Valley
Bid on this bottle of 2015 Sena Red Blend, Aconcagua Valley (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As a comparison to the 2014 vintage of this wine, the 2015 Seña resulted in 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Carmenere, 12% Malbec, 7% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc, with now 12% of the wine matured in new Stockinger oak foudres and the rest in barrique for some 22 months. 2015 might have been a slightly warmer year, but the resulting wine is lower in alcohol and higher in acidity, which provide for a more vibrant mouthfeel and a more focused expression of the character of the place. This vintage has half a degree less alcohol, and the acidity is a little more pungent; and, the amount of wine in foudre seems to help the oak to show better integrated. This is dry, nicely textured, and the replacement of the Merlot by Malbec seems to have also added to the refinement of the tannins that are super-elegant. 66,000 bottles were filled in February 2017. 2012 Stony Hill Napa Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Stony Hill Napa Valley Chardonnay (93JG). John Gilman: "The 2012 vintage of Stony Hill Chardonnay is a beautiful young wine, but this is still defined by its impeccable structure and will need time in the cellar to really start to stir and deliver on its marvelous promise. The youthful bouquet offers up a very pure and still quite tight blend of apple, a touch of beeswax, chalky soil tones, fruit blossoms, a touch of fresh almond and a very, very faint touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is crisp, fresh and rock solid at the core, with its full-bodied format delivering outstanding focus and grip, zesty acids and laser-like precision on the very long and very primary finish. All Stony Hill Chardonnays need extended cellaring to really blossom, but the 2012 looks likely to be a real long distance runner in the context of great recent vintages here! 2022-2065+. 93+" (08/2012)

1995 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1995 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac (96RP, 94WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "What sumptuous pleasures await those who purchase either the 1996 or 1995 Pichon Lalande. It is hard to choose a favorite, although the 1995 is a smoother, more immediately sexy and accessible wine. It is an exquisite example of Pichon-Lalande with the Merlot component giving the wine a coffee/chocolatey/cherry component to go along with the Cabernet Sauvignon's and Cabernet Franc's complex blackberry/cassis fruit. The wine possesses an opaque black/ruby/purple color, and sexy, flamboyant aromatics of pain grille, black fruits, and cedar. Exquisite on the palate, this full-bodied, layered, multidimensional wine should prove to be one of the vintage's most extraordinary success stories. (RP)" (02/1998)

It is 100% Zinfandel, so varietal nuance is at the forefront. Sweet red cherries, freshly cut flowers and spices waft from the glass in this gorgeous offering. 2013 Tenuta Sette Ponti Vigna dell'Impero Toscana IGT
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Tenuta Sette Ponti Vigna dell'Impero Toscana IGT (94VN, 93RP). Vinous: "The 2013 Vigna dell'Impero emerges from a Sangiovese vineyard originally planted in 1935 by King Vittorio Emanuele. Ample and intense, while still maintaining a good deal of Sangiovese translucence, the 2013 exudes richness and pedigree. 2004 Pavie, St-Emilion
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Pavie, St-Emilion (96W&S, 95WS, 94RP). Wine & Spirits: "A conspicuously modern wine, Pavie with its hyper-ripe fruit and substantial new oak treatment stands out as an offense to some, a glorious pleasure to others. In the case of the 2004, it carries the oak beautifully, untamed by it. The wine is wild, in fact, and quite hard to resist. The cool complexity of the tannins grows out of three terroirs: the limestone plateau, a sector of gravel and limestone and a third sector of clay. The fruit opens with thick-skinned black plum power, reverberating with feral scents and violets. Staunch and formidable, the wine is packed with life." (10/2007)

Of the 1999 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate (an 8,600-case cuvee made from yields of 1.98 tons of fruit per acre) is considered by Bo Barrett to be a 'great' year. The wine boasts a saturated inky/purple color as well as extraordinary density of fruit and cassis, and huge tannin, body, and extract. It is a substantial, palate-staining, long, muscular Cabernet that should only be purchased by connoisseurs with cold cellars as well as patience. 2009 Château La Fleur Morange, St-Emilion
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Château La Fleur Morange, St-Emilion (96RP, 93JS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Even more impressive is the absolutely prodigious 2009 St.-Emilion, the finest wine I have ever tasted from La Fleur Morange. The average age of the vines at this tiny estate is close to 100 years, and this 2009 blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc came from yields of 25 hectoliters per hectare. The vines sit on the famous iron-rich soils that the French call crasse de fer, and the result is an amazingly opaque purple wine with an extraordinary nose of blackberries, charcoal, graphite and crushed chalk. It is tightly knit, with full-bodied power and relatively elevated tannins. Its noble sweetness and expansiveness as well as its broad, savory finish make this is a compelling wine of great quality that should hit its stride in 4-5 years and keep for two decades. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2004 Josef Leitz Rudesheimer Magdalenenkreuz Riesling Spätlese (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Leitz could start a new career in green-bottle Rieslings! The 2004 Rudesheimer Magdalenenkreuz Riesling Spatlese smells of peaches and strawberries and comes to the palate creamy yet with fresh acidity, apply crispness, and subtle saltiness. This exhibits a bit less poise and minerality than the Klosterlay, as befits a deeper-soiled site, but it offers compensatory richness and a similar infectious juiciness. As usual, Leitz is on a qualitative roll with these sweet wines from in principle less-good sites. (DS)" (10/2005)

1999 Raymond Lafon, Sauternes (375ml)
Bid on this 6-half-bottle lot of 1999 Raymond Lafon, Sauternes (375ml). Robert Parker says: "Raymond-Lafon is a name to watch in the Sauternes district, particularly if one is looking for a wine that is close to the brilliance and majestic richness of Yquem for less than one-third the price. This small estate abuts Yquem's vineyard and has an excellent reputation. …Unfortunately, the wine is extremely difficult to find because of the tiny production (1,300 cases) and the fact that the proprietor Pierre Meslier sells much of it to private clients in Europe." The estate of Raymond-Lafon fell into neglect, and it was not until 1972 that Pierre Meslier, the manager of Yquem, purchased this vineyard and began to rebuild this wine's once fabulous reputation. With a tiny yield of 9 hectoliters per hectare (even less than Yquem's), with the same grape blend and winemaking techniques employed as Yquem, and with the same ruthless selection procedure (normally 20% - 100% of a harvest is declas

Of the 2009 Suduiraut, Sauternes,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2009 is one of the greatest wines ever produced from the estate. It has a riveting bouquet of quince, honey, pear and a touch of clarified butter that is beautifully defined, offering scents of yellow flowers with continued aeration. It is a little heavier and more intense than its peers at this stage. The palate is beautifully balanced with perfectly judged acidity and immense purity. The finish offers crisp honey, quince and clementine notes laden with botrytis that is counterpoised by wonderful acidity. It possesses an unerring sense of completeness and composure that is irresistible. Bravo! Drink now-2050. (NM)" (02/2013)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Bottled in April of last year (as were all of the 2012 Syrahs), the 2012 Syrah Lorraine Vineyard has the classic sweetness and suppleness of this cuvee as well as tons of black raspberry, toasted bread, creamy licorice and floral notes. Full-bodied, ultra-pure, seamless and polished, it stays nicely focused and straight on the palate and has incredible elegance for wine of this size. Drink it anytime over the coming 15-20 years. 2012 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Chardonnay Marcassin Vineyard, which will probably be released in a few months, displays great minerality, notes of honeysuckle, orange marmalade, poached pear, and white flowers as well as a touch of quince. A wine of great intensity, yet incredibly ethereal elegance, this light greenish gold-colored wine is full-bodied, stunningly rich, and altogether remarkable. When you consider that they use 100% new French oak and 100% heavy toast for both their Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs, it is remarkable how little oak appears in these wines. This wine should age well for 10-15 years, as most of the Marcassin Estate Chardonnays have done to date. (RP)" (03/2016)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Sine Qua Non "The Line" California Grenache (98RP, 97VN, 95JS, 95WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine was just released in April of this year, and is a blend of 87.5% Grenache, 11% Syrah, and 1.5% Viognier, with 21% whole clusters used in the Grenache component. Seventy-eight percent of it came from the 11 Confessions Vineyard and the balance from Bien Nacido and the White Hawk. It is no measly wine at 15.5% alcohol, but it displays extraordinary berry fruit and kirsch notes intermixed with lavender and other floral components. Intense, full-bodied, voluptuously textured, and stunningly pure, with no real noticeable oak (21% new French oak was used, most of it the larger demi-muids), this beauty has put on weight and is showing additional complexity since I first tasted it. Of the 2009 Bond "Vecina" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L),Vinous writes: "The 2009 Vecina is dark, sumptuous and also remarkably forthcoming for a young wine from this Oakville site. Smoke, leather, tobacco, licorice and grilled herbs infuse a dark, virile Cabernet Sauvignon that leans more towards sensuality than pure power. In any other tasting the 2009 would steal the show, but the level of this flight is high. Very high. (AG)" (11/2017)

This is one of the great vintages of the 90s, and Spottswoode hit the bull’s-eye with this opaque, ruby/purple-colored wine that still has incredible youthfulness and vibrancy. Fabulous fruit intensity, blackcurrants, black cherries and blackberry, along with charcoal, chocolate and graphite, are all present in this superb, full-bodied, stunningly multidimensional wine that is only now approaching mid-adolescence at age 22. The voluptuous, rounded, soft and sexy fruit slinks across the palate with incredible seamlessness and expression. 2003 Reinhard & Beate Knebel Winninger Rottgen Riesling Auslese Mosel (500ml)
Bid on this 6-500 ml-bottle lot of 2003 Reinhard & Beate Knebel Winninger Rottgen Riesling Auslese Mosel (500ml). According to Steven Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "This Auslese takes up where the Knebels' old-vines Rottgen Spatlese left off, offering jellied red fruits and apple, pungent brown spices in a creamy yet light palate impression, and a long, clear, delicate interplay of fruit, nut paste, butter cream and slate in the finish. The impression of tiny, lightly shriveled berries barely tinged with botrytis is conveyed with the utmost subtlety and nobility. In contrast with this Auslese, the Rottgen Auslese A. P. #17, which the Knebels sent to auction, struck me as too obvious and unrefined in its honeyed and pungently smoky botrytis character. 2 stars. (DS)"

Silky and racy, with terrific purity to the red cherry and plum flavors, the Rothwell Hyde offers a great window into the house style and also the personality of the year. Best of all, the 2014 will drink well with minimal cellaring. What a gorgeous wine this is. Once again, Brad Grimes poured the Rothwell Hyde at the very end of our tasting. Wine Enthusiast: "The wine shows the power typical of a Lafite but within the context of the fruity 2011 vintage. The immensely dense tannic structure gives the wine a solid feel that is lifted by so much ripe black currant and berry fruits. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1986 Mouton-Rothschild is a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot that was picked from 2 October until 16 October. Winemaker Philippe Dhalluin, who was not working at the property back then, told me that the pH was fairly low at 3.54 when it is usually around 3.75, due to the natural tartaric acid in the vines. It has a powerful and intense bouquet as always: exemplary graphite and cedar scents, a touch of black pepper and incense. It seems to unfurl in the glass, like a motor revving its engine. The palate is beautifully balanced with its trademark firm tannic structure, a Mouton-Rothschild with backbone and masculinity. Layers of black fruit intermingling with mint and graphite, a hint of licorice emanating from the Merlot, gently fanning out and my God, it is incredibly long. It is not like the 1985 Mo
