Of the 2006 Tablas Creek "Esprit de Beaucastel Panoplie" Paso Robles Rhône Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "A blockbuster offering is the 2006 Panoplie (68% Mourvedre, 27% Grenache, and 5% Syrah). Aged in large wood foudres and the smaller demi-muids, this beauty reveals notes of soy, roasted herbs, gamy animal, and copious quantities of black and blue fruits. Of the 2005 Skipstone "Oliver's Blend" Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The debut vintage for Skipstone, the 2005 Proprietary Red, is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot and Malbec. Its dark ruby/purple color is followed by a sweet perfume of blue and black fruits as well as loamy soil scents. Medium to full-bodied with sweet tannin, but none of the herbaceousness or strong, dusty character often found in Alexander Valley Cabernets, this is a well-crafted offering from French consultant, Philippe Melka. Light on its feet despite its stunning concentration and multi-layered mouthfeel, this wine has fabulous intensity, richness and length. 2007 Torrin "Akasha" Paso Robles Syrah
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Torrin "Akasha" Paso Robles Syrah (96JD, 93ST). Jeb Dunnuck: "Still inky colored, the 2007 Akasha (100% Syrah from the Torrin and James Berry Vineyards) gives up a youthful bouquet of blackberry jam, smoked herbs, licorice and spiced meat as well as a full-bodied, unctuous, decadent style on the palate. It's certainly not for those craving lightweight aromas and flavors, but it’s one sexy Cali Syrah that does everything right." (07/2018)

2005 Winter Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Winter Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon may be even better than the 2004. A striking, inky/ruby/purple color offers up notes of black currants, licorice, graphite, forest floor, and spice box. Flawlessly constructed with sweet tannin, good acidity, and superb purity, this is a tour de force in winemaking. (RP) 95+" (12/2007)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 K Vintners "Ovide" Walla Walla Valley Cabernet Sauvignon/Syrah (95RP, 93WE, 92WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The purple-colored 2006 Ovide En Cerise is a co-fermented blend of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon and 33% Syrah. Liquid minerals, smoked meat, bacon, blueberry, and blackberry liqueur explode from the glass. Full-bodied, dense, and super-rich, this impeccably balanced, lengthy blend will benefit from 8-10 years of cellaring and should drink well for who knows how long (these wines have no track record), but I’d like to be there to find out. When it comes to his wines, the otherwise wild and irrepressible Charles Smith is as serious as a heart attack. Native yeast fermentation, foot crushing, spontaneous malolactic fermentations, gentle basket pressing, no fining or filtration are routinely practiced in the cellar. Even more important, Charles Smith knows where to find the great grapes. In a region where blending is still the rule of thumb, he

The nose just pops out. Intense. Full body, with a round and velvety tannin structure and lots of currants, ripe strawberries. Very intense every. Black pepper at the finish. Muscular yet toned. Very structured yet balanced. This needs a minimum of four to five years of aging. Paul Draper says that perhaps this is as great as the legendary 1991. Made for aging." (05/2012)

Bid on this magnum of 2012 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (100RP, 96JS, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer to Kalon Vineyard CCS is Clone 4 from another block, and always seems to hit all the sweet spots on my palate. It’s aged 20 months in 100% new Darnajou barrels. The good news is there are 520 cases of it. Just a prodigious wine, this spectacular Cabernet Sauvignon is inky bluish/purple with a gorgeous nose of spring flowers, blueberry, blackberry and cassis fruit, a touch of background toast and graphite. It has a very full-bodied, multidimensional mouthfeel and a skyscraper-like finish. It is fabulously open, sexy and a total thrill to smell and taste. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Sine Qua Non "Atlantis Fe203-2a,b,c" Grenache (100VN, 97RP, 95ST). Vinous: "The 2005 Grenache Atlantis Fe203-2a has been absolutely thrilling both times I have tasted it within the last year. A huge, vertical wine, Atlantis graces the palate with deep, voluptuous red fruit, crushed rocks, smoke, tobacco and mint. Even with all of its intensity and explosiveness, the wine remains light on its feet, with great balance and class to burn. The inclusion of whole clusters adds gorgeous lift and perfume, especially on the finish. At nearly ten years of age, the 2005 Grenache Atlantis is in a perfect spot right now and should continue to drink well for another 5-10 years, perhaps longer. (AG)" (07/2014)

2012 Marcel Juge Cornas
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Marcel Juge Cornas (91VN). Vinous: "Ruby-red. Aromas of ripe red and dark berries, violet, peppery spices, smoked meat and leather. Sweet, gamy and penetrating, offering sappy raspberry, licorice, olive paste and floral pastille flavors and suggestions of raw beef and Indian spices. The meaty quality comes back on the persistent, smoke-tinged finish, which features dusty tannins and lingering spiciness. On the wild, rustic (read: bretty) and not-ready-for-prime-time side of the Rhône equation, and while I'm sometimes a fan of the style, this is definitely a wine for those with acquired or even jaded tastes. 2001 Spottswoode "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Spottswoode "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 94VN, 94WE, 93JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Production fell back to about 4,300 cases in 2001, which was a fabulous growing season in Napa Valley and from the get-go heralded as a profound vintage. Certainly Spottswoode hit all cylinders with its blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, and the first in a series of wines from them that eclipsed 14% alcohol (this one is 14.1%). Still dense purple to the rim, the wine is a young adolescent, with beautiful floral notes intermixed with deep crème de cassis, blackberry and blueberry Hints of licorice and graphite also present in this full-bodied, multilayered, magnificent and majestic Cabernet Sauvignon that is shaping up to be a great classic. There is at least 25-30 years of tasty longevity left in this large-scale Spottswoode that still seems to have a vague resemblance to Château Margaux. Bravo! (RP) 98+" (08/2016)

Lot 2" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "This wine exhibits a solid, plummy color with amber at the edge. A dusty, earthy nose reveals plenty of ripe, plummy, jammy cherry scents, intertwined with aromas of saddle leather, licorice, and earth. This spicy, chocolatey style of wine has a certain hardness, but there is enough fruit to make the wine interesting and vibrant. My instincts suggest it is unlikely to attain complete harmony, but it is a gutsy, be

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Patrick & Christophe Bonnefond "Les Rochains" Cote Rotie (93RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The most intensity and complex set of aromatics are found in the sensational 2006 Cote Rotie Les Rochains. Floral notes intermixed with cassis, asphalt, burning embers, truffles, licorice, and toasty oak are found in this beauty. More velvety textured and concentrated than the Cote Rozier, this stunning red should be cellared for 2-3 years, and drunk over the following 15+. (RP)" (04/2009)

2004 Sine Qua Non "Into the Dark" Central Coast Grenache
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Sine Qua Non "Into the Dark" Central Coast Grenache (99RP, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "More up-front and open-knit, the 2004 In the Dark (Grenache) checks in as a blend of 84% Grenache, 8% Mourvedre, 7% Syrah and 1% Viognier that comes mostly from Manfred’s 11 Confessions Vineyard, yet includes small portions from Alban (10%) and Alta Mesa (9%) Vineyard. Reminding me of Clos Saint-Jean’s Sanctus Sanctorum with its incredible bouquet of sweet kirsch, licorice, dried baking spices, graphite and ground pepper, this beauty flows onto the palate with impeccable purity, perfect integration of its fruit, tannin and acidity, and blockbuster length. As is common with this estate’s wine, it’s the purity paired with serious richness that sets it apart. While still youthful and benefiting from a healthy decadence, I think it’s drinking at point and would aim to drink bottles over the coming 4-5 years. It will evolve gracefully for longer, but I see no re

1984 Ridge "York Creek - Devils Hill" Napa Valley Petite Sirah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1984 Ridge "York Creek - Devils Hill" Napa Valley Petite Sirah. Spring Mountain is a very special appellation, whose hillsides produce stunning red wines capable of staying the course for decades. York Creek is a sort of mini zone, a site used by Ridge Vineyards for some of the state's most fascinating Cabernets, Zinfandels and Petit Sirahs, and one of the original sites owned by Fritz Maytag. Devils Hill is an itty bitty block of the York Creek Vineyard sometimes used as a separate designation by Ridge. According to the winery: "Devils Hill is the oldest surviving vineyard on the York Creek Ranch. The vines were planted over 60 years ago using a 7’ x 7’ spacing for cross cultivation on the steep hillsides. The yields are very low compared to the new sections and their particular character would seem to merit our continuing to make them into a separate wine." Rare. Intense. Built to last.

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Domaine Bruno Clair Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Clos St. Jacques" ((89-91BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is stylistically quite similar to the Petite-Chapelle with ultra elegant red pinot fruit aromas that explode from the glass followed by sweet, beautifully pure and detailed medium full flavors that deliver good punch on the dusty, long and at the moment, rather linear finish. I like the overall balance and harmony of expression and this should be capable of a decade of improvement though it will certainly be approachable before that. *Outstanding*" (01/2005)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Adrianna Vineyard Malbec is a similar purple/black in color with an expressive bouquet of sandalwood, Asian spices, incense, mineral, black cherry, and black raspberry. Opulent on the palate with serious extraction, great depth of flavor, complexity, and impeccable balance, this loaded, potent effort will evolve for at least 5-7 years and see its 20th birthday in prime condition. Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2004 Sierra Cantabria 'Amancio', Rioja (OWC - 97RP, 94VN, 94WE, 93WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Amancio is a step above the 2005. It offers a nose which is already sexy and complex with expressive spice, wild flowers, and dark fruit aromas. Plush, bordering on voluptuous on the palate, it will continue to blossom for another 3-4 years and drink well through 2029. 2009 George "Martaella & King Family Vineyards" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 George "Martaella & King Family Vineyards" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir . This is the seventh vintage of George Pinot Noir. The wine is 100% Russian River Valley Pinot Noir that is unfined, unfiltered, using gravity in vinification instead of pumpovers. The fruit comes from the Martaella and King Family vineyards, which are adjacent to each other in the Russian River Valley and are both planted to Pommard clones. Both vineyards were picked at the same time, and fermented and bottled together. While the winery tends to make low alcohol and low oak flavor wines, this is a bigger Pinot, with darker fruit flavors. Great with piping hot stew on a cold winter's night or grilled salmon when the weather warms up.

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Troplong Mondot, St-Emilion (96RP, 93JS, 93ST, 92VN, 91WE, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A wine of the vintage candidate in 2008, Troplong Mondot's offering was produced from yields of 41 hectoliters per hectare and achieved 14.5% natural alcohol. A classic blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, it offers copious quantities of blue and black fruits, a full-bodied opulence, sweet tannin and a fabulous texture as well as finish. Already drinking beautifully, it will be even better in 2-5 years and should last for 20 years. A great effort for the vintage, it couldn’t happen to a more deserving proprietor, Christine Valette. 2001 Bartolo Mascarello Barolo
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2001 Bartolo Mascarello Barolo. 94 Points and accolades from Daniele Cernilli (DoctorWine): "Made from only Nebbiolo grapes grown in three vineyards in the Barolo township: Torriglione, Ru, and San Lorenzo. This wine epitomizes a Barolo from Barolo, produced for decades by the historic Mascarello farming family. Today at helm is Maria Teresa, the daughter of Bartolo and granddaughter of Giulio, all great Barolo makers. This vintage 2001 was truly outstanding and emblematic and should be tasted to understand what a real Barolo from that area is like. The color was a distinct garnet of medium intensity and the bouquet had scents of violet and licorice but also light notes that were more gamy and balsamic giving it an authentic rustic style. The mouthfeel was distinct with an almost brackish acidity that dominated the edgy tannins. A wine for true Barolo lovers that may be difficult to understand for the untrained palate." (05/2015)

1982 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1982 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac (100JS, 100RP, 98ST, 98WS, 97DC). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine remains one of the legends of Bordeaux. It has thrown off the backward, youthful style that existed during its first 25 years of life, and over the last 4-5 years has developed such secondary nuances as cedar and spice box. The creme de cassis, underlying floral note, full-bodied power, extraordinary purity, multilayered texture, and finish of over a minute are a showcase for what this Chateau accomplished in 1982. The wine is still amazingly youthful, vibrant, and pure. It appears capable of remaining fruity and vibrant in 2082! Thank God it is beginning to budge, as I would like to drink most of my supply before I kick the bucket. This is a great, still youthful wine, and, on occasion, one does understand the hierarchy of Bordeaux chateaux when you see the complexity and brilliance of this first-growth. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 boasts an inky/purple color along with notes of graphite, violets, blackberries, creme de cassis and hints of charcoal and barbecue in addition to a full-bodied, multilayered mouthfeel that builds incrementally with great purity, staggering fruit concentration, and a long, velvety, 50+-second finish. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Giacomo Conterno "Cascina Francia" Barolo (98VN, 97RP, 94JG, (91-94ST), 90WS). Vinous: "The 2004 Barolo Cascina Francia boasts staggering depth and explosive intensity from the very first taste. One of the most brooding, backward 2004s, the Cascina Francia is one of the only wines in this vintage that I am slightly disappointed to have opened, as it is so intensely backward. Hints of sage, tobacco, menthol, rose petal and graphite open up in the glass, recalling just how mesmerizing the 2004 was in cask. At once silky, while at other times virile, the 2004 Cascina Francia is constantly changing in the glass. The multiple shades of nuance and complexity are those of Nebbiolo from a great site as expressed by one of the region's historic families. The price of Monfortino has escalated rapidly over the last few years, but by comparison, the 2004 Cascina Francia is still available in the market and represents a good relative value. Wild aromas of black raspberry, game, smoke and gravel. Lush and sweet, with the gamey quality joined by chocolate and roasted herbs on the very ripe palate. Finishes with substantial fine-grained tannins. Big and rich but fresh: winemaker Andy Erickson told me he uses the merlot "to tame and freshen the syrah, and to lower the wine's pH." Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Wonderfully subtle, complex aromas of white flowers, acacia honey, minerals, nuts and mushroom, with musky and leesy nuances. Oily, rich and smoky but with terrific verve and lift. Quite substantial and chewy for a young D.P. but not at all heavy. Yellow plum and strong soil tones in the middle and on the palate-staining finish. Offers a rare combination of richness and finesse. (ST)" (11/2002)

2007 Kongsgaard "The Judge" Napa Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Kongsgaard "The Judge" Napa Valley Chardonnay (98RP, 95ST, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A special selection of the top barrels (125-150 cases produced), the 2007 Chardonnay The Judge is more backward than the regular Chardonnay, revealing a liqueur of rocks-like character intermixed with hints of almond paste, tropical fruits, quince, and mango. Its incredible length, richness, and depth suggest this wine will benefit from 1-2 years of bottle age, and should keep for over a decade. From a top vintage for proprietor/winemaker John Kongsgaard, the 2007 Chardonnays are among the finest he has made to date. They combine great richness and bold flavor profiles with extraordinary minerality and definition. (RP)" (12/2009)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Bruno Giacosa "Falletto di Serralunga d'Alba" Barolo (97VN, 96RP, 94ST, 92JS, 92WS). Vinous: "Giacosa's 2004 Barolo Falletto is a rock star. The truth is that, if tasted alone, the white label Falletto could easily be mistaken for the Red Label Riserva. It is every bit that compelling. Intensely perfumed yet also towering in stature, the 2004 is simply magnificent. The main difference between the white label and red label is finesse in the tannin, which is a bit less polished here. But that is only because there is a comparison. Taken on its own, the Falletto is one of the very finest wines of the vintage. Elegance meets power. With a little advance aeration, the 2004 can be enjoyed young, but it is frankly best left alone for another few years, especially for readers who only own a few bottles. This is yet another 2004 that has really blossomed in bottle. (AG)" (05/2015)

Of the 2010 Kistler "Dutton Ranch" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Kistler’s 2010 Chardonnay Dutton Ranch shows the distinct influence of these sandstone-rich soils in its weightless, effortless, perfumed personality. A model of true elegance and finesse, the Dutton Ranch is less obvious than some of the preceding wines. A kick of bracing salinity in the finish gives the 2010 its sense of energy and pure grace. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Rhys "Swan Terrace - Alpine Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (94BH, 94VN, (89-92RP)). In sum, a wine of class and grace that in 10 years may ultimately prove to be as good as the Horseshoe...The estate wines of Rhys Vineyards are made from biodynamically farmed fruit and owner Kevin Harvey and winemaker Jeff Brinkman continue to drive the wines to new heights...That the wines are of very high quality is evident but what is wonderfully refreshing is that the wines are also unique and original.
