2006 Domaine Hudelot-Noellat Richebourg Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2006 Domaine Hudelot-Noellat Richebourg Grand Cru (94BH, (92-94VN)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Initially this was somewhat like the 2006 RSV as the nose was reduced though unlike the RSV the reduction rapidly blew off to reveal an intensely spicy and layered dark berry fruit nose that remains entirely primary and youthful. There is excellent intensity to the tautly muscular, cool and mineral-inflected big-boned flavors that are supported by a firm tannic spine on the powerfully long and driving finish. This highly promising effort is still very much on the way up and should age beautifully for years." (04/2015)

2010 Domaine de la Vieille Julienne "Reserve" Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine de la Vieille Julienne "Reserve" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (100JD, 99RP, 96VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "Possibly the wine of the vintage and a mind blowing Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the 2010 Domaine de la Vieille Julienne Châteauneuf-du-Pape Reserve is off the charts and delivers a vivid, complex, and detailed bouquet of sappy flowers, violets, licorice, black currants, and smoked earth-like qualities on the nose. Full-bodied and perfectly put together on the palate, this powerful, elegant Châteauneuf-du-Pape has incredible richness and depth, yet stays light, ethereal, and weightless in the mouth. Up there with some of the greatest young wines I have ever tasted, it needs 5-7 years of bottle age and will evolve beautifully for over two decades." (09/2012)

1999 Ausone, St-Emilion
Bid on this bottle of 1999 Ausone, St-Emilion (95RP, 94WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Is the 1999 Ausone the wine of the vintage? Dense purple color, a compelling bouquet of licorice, minerals, black and blueberry liqueur, extraordinary delineation, high tannin, superb extract, and phenomenal richness all are the stuff of a legend. This wine seems impossible to have emerged from a vintage like 1999. Proprietor Alain Vauthier produced only 20,000 bottles because he eliminated one-fourth of the tiny crop. The result is out-and-out fabulous, but the wine needs 12-15 years of cellaring. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2050. (RP)" (04/2002)

Bid on this bottle of 2010 Lucien Le Moine Bienvenues-Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru ((94-96RP), (92-95ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Slow out of the gates, the 2010 Bienvenue-Batard-Montrachet starts off subtly, then literally explodes on the mid-palate. Honey, almonds, tangerine and flowers are some of the many nuances that are laced throughout this utterly refined, impeccable Burgundy. The 2010 is intensely perfumed and delicate throughout. The delineated, vibrant aromas and flavors all mesh together on the huge, layered finish. Dazzling pretty much sums it up. (AG)" (08/2012)

1978 Petrus, Pomerol
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1978 Petrus, Pomerol (91JG). John Gilman: "The 1978 Château Lafleur-Pétrus is one of the finest Right Bank wines I have tasted from this vintage. The wine offers up a lovely and complex nose of cherries, nutskin, a beautiful base of soil tones, pomegranate, a touch of soy, fresh herb tones and a fine topnote of smokiness. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very nicely balanced, with plenty of depth at the core, gentle tannins, tangy acids and excellent focus and grip on the long and complex finish. There is absolutely no sense here of imperfect ripeness and the wine is a very fine, svelte middleweight in its plateau of peak drinkability." (05/2016)

2012 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, (93-96ST), 96VN, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The classic 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon included fruit from the 2-acre, old vine parcel that is nearly 70 years of age. It boasts an opaque purple color as well as copious notes of spring flowers, blackberries, black raspberries and wet rocks. The wine’s gravelly minerality and spectacular opulence and density make it an instant classic. This massive, full-bodied 2012 should drink beautifully for 15-20+ years. It showed incredibly well last year, and it still reveals the potential to possibly merit a 3-digit score – it’s that special. (RP)" (10/2014)

2004 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 95ST, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Also offering off-the-charts richness, with a flamboyant, hedonistic profile, the 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon (96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc) possesses spice-laced aromas and flavors of cassis, smoke tobacco, roasted meats, dried licorice and wild herbs that are to die for. Full-bodied, incredibly layered, rich and textured it has no hard edges, masses of tannin and a finish that won’t quit. I’ve been lucky enough to taste this cuvee three times (rated 96 and 97) in the past handful of weeks and this was the best showing yet. From a cool vintage, it is still youthful and vibrant, and will continue to shine for another 15+ years. Drink now-2028. (JD)" (06/2013)

Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(60% whole clusters and 40% new oak): Deep red. Pungent, high-pitched aromas of raspberry, blood orange, sandalwood and fresh flowers. Juicy and sharply focused, offering penetrating red fruit and rose pastille flavors and a sexy Asian spice flourish. Subtly sweet, delicate and alluringly perfumed on the gently tannic finish, which shows superb clarity and length. This wine clocks in at 12.6% alcohol. (ST)" (05/2013)

Pungent aromas of black raspberry, pepper and herbs, lifted by a mineral note from the limestone-rich soil. Wonderfully intense and energetic, with a light touch that belies its substantial alcohol. Captivating flavors of blackberry, herbs and lavender saturate the palate. Boasts a superb balance of sugar, acidity and tannins. 2013 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2013 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (1.5L) (97RP, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 James Berry Vineyard Proprietary Red is made from 45% Grenache, 29% Mourvedre, 18% Syrah and 8% Counoise (which Justin commented was a blend that was put together relatively late). It saw a big chunk of whole cluster (the Grenache was mostly destemmed though) and was brought up all in puncheons and foudre (the normal concrete component went to the Rocket Block). It offers up gorgeous notes of black raspberries, cherries, cassis, ground herbs and flowers. This beauty hits the palate with incredible purity, fine tannin and an overriding sense of elegance and finesse, backed up by full-bodied richness and depth. Vinous: "The tasting ends on a high note, as the 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain is deeply expressive, despite its obvious youth. Here it is the wine's sense of energy that stands out most. Vivid, nuanced and structured, the 1999 is a wine to cellar for another 5-10 years at a minimum to allow the flavors to flesh out. Bid on this bottle of 2015 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (100RP, 97VN, 94JS, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A touch closed and youthfully shy to begin, the 2015 Chardonnay Lauren Estate soon powers up to reveal intense grapefruit, citrus peel, yuzu and honeyed pear notes over suggestions of crushed stones, struck match, baking bread and lemongrass. The palate is fine, fresh, elegant and incredibly layered, with the tightly wound layers offering glimpses at incredible depth, finishing long and minerally. Offers a compelling combination of sweetness of fruit and energy; here a subtle hint of herbs just adds to the appeal of this densely packed, utterly fresh wine. Finishes with very suave tannins and terrific lingering perfume. This firmly structured cool-vintage beauty should continue to evolve positively for at least another decade. (ST)" (07/2016)

2014 Booker "RLF" Paso Robles Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Booker "RLF" Paso Robles Pinot Noir (95RP, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A change up from the 100% Grenache cuvees of the past, the 2014 Rlf is 100% Pinot Noir, and it's a damn good one as well. Sporting a deeper ruby color and offering up overflowing notes of black raspberries, toasted spice, sweet oak, forest floor and a touch of marine-like saltiness, this beauty is medium to full-bodied, sexy, seamless and layered on the palate, with a terrific finish. Hats off to winemaker Eric Jensen, who's known as a Syrah and Grenache guy, for this smokin' effort. It should drink nicely through 2024 (although there's no need to hold off). As I've commented in the past, the wines from Eric Jensen at Booker are some of the most impressive releases coming out of California. While in the past, they relied on pure fruit and texture to impress, today they possess layered, elegant and complex characters paired with serious depth, richness and structure. While

Of the 2014 Kosta Browne "Keefer Ranch" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Coming from the Russian River Valley and an estate vineyard that was purchased in 2012, the rich, gorgeously layered and textured 2014 Pinot Noir Keefer Ranch Vineyard offers an exotic fruit profile, with notions of cassis, passion fruit, spice and dried flowers all emerging from the glass. Full-bodied, layered and rich, yet with the purity and precision that's present in all of these 2014s, drink bottles anytime over the coming decade, and I certainly wouldn't be surprised to see it keep for longer. 2003 Merry Edwards "Windsor Gardens" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2003 Merry Edwards "Windsor Gardens" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (95CG, 90ST). Connoisseurs Guide: "This is Ms. Edwards's final bottling from the now-defunct Windsor Gardens Vineyard, and its depth and sheer fruity volume make for a flamboyant good-bye to what has been a perennial CGCW favorite. A touch more muscular in style than its predecessors have typically been, it is underpinned by firming tannins that suggest that its best may be years yet in the making. As much as its richness and generous fruit invites early drinking, we would lobby for patience and allow for three to five years in the cellar." (10/2005)

2009 M. Chapoutier "Le Méal" Ermitage Rouge
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 M. Chapoutier "Le Méal" Ermitage Rouge ((98-100RP), 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Ermitage Le Meal’s black/purple color is accompanied by notes of forest floor, bouquet garni, creme de cassis, beef blood and ink as well as a layered, opulent, full-bodied, massive mouthfeel. Extravagantly rich, it will be reasonably drinkable in 5-7 years; it is built for 50+ years of cellaring. All three of these wines have skyscraper-like textures and amazing purity, richness and depth. It is hard to believe any other producer could eclipse what this trilogy represents in quality, longevity and winemaking statesmanship. One has to admire Michel Chapoutier for producing wines that are not meant for immediate gratification or for turning the heads of consumers right out of the bottle. These wines are meant to help establish his legacy long after most of us have disappeared. (RP)" (02/2011)

It is a blend of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, 8% Merlot, and 3% Petit Verdot. The wine boasts a saturated purple color in addition to gorgeous aromas of acacia flowers mixed with licorice, creme de cassis, smoke, and minerals. It is ripe, full-bodied, and sweet. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Even slightly better is the 2013 Pinot Noir Elevation 1376, which comes from a Sonoma Coast Vineyard called Sun Chase. This is also produced from Dijon clones 777, 667 and 115 and is his largest cuvée of Pinot Noir at 375 cases. Deep ruby/plum/purple (like his other Pinot offerings), the wine offers up a fragrant, sensational nose of spring flowers, loamy soil and foresty notes as well as blueberry and blackberry fruit followed by a sumptuous, extravagantly rich mouthfeel, well-integrated acidity, tannin and alcohol, and a killer finish of close to 45 seconds. Connoisseurs Guide: "There is a sense of sophistication and well-managed ripeness that seem a constant in the best Cabernets of the vintage, and both are apparent in this complex and very well-crafted wine. A nice splash of sweet oak highlights the very keen curranty fruit in its aromas and continues on as a sympathetic partner to themes of cassis and black cherries in the wine's lengthy and beautifully proportioned flavors. Ageworthy by dint of its balance rather than for forbidding astringency, this is one to hide away for at least a half dozen years and more. *Three Stars* " (12/2010)

2002 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien (95RP, 94WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Only 43% of the production made it into the final blend of this remarkable 2002. Produced from a low 17 hectoliters per hectare, it includes 66.7% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14.5% Merlot, 13.9% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Petit Verdot. It has the highest alcohol ever achieved in a Leoville Las Cases (13.5%) as well as a lofty pH of 3.85. Nevertheless, the impression is one of a structured wine with considerable density, a ruby/purple color, layers of flavor, and a classic overall personality. The wine exhibits pure black currant, licorice-infused fruit, huge body, a viscous mid-palate, and a long, heady finish. I suspect this wine won’t be nearly as charming as the 2003 in its youth, but it hasn’t yet closed down, and I am amazed at just how rich, intense, and full-bodied it tastes even after bottling. This is certainly one of the half dozen or so candidates for wine of the vint

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Chardonnay Cuvee Indigene offers up exuberant green mango, white peach and lemon zest notes with touches of cashews, lightly browned toast and white blossoms. The medium-bodied palate fills the mouth with mouthwatering perfumed citrus flavors, which are complemented by the silken texture, finishing on a chalky note. (LPB)" (10/2017)

2008 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 95JS, 95ST, 95W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Monte Bello is striking. It is a decidedly muscular Monte Bello endowed with layers of dark fruit. Tobacco, mint, asphalt and crushed rocks develop in the glass, adding tons of complexity and finesse. A long, saline finish rounds things out beautifully. In 2008 the cold growing season stretched into October and the wine definitely has the feel of a cool vintage. The spring frost and the second year of drought conditions lowered yields significantly. Yields were just 1.25 tons per acre on average, but some of the older vineyards came in at less than 1 ton per acre. The balance of fruit, tannin and structure is simply extraordinary, but the wine needs time, most likely lots of it. In 2008 the blend is 72% Cabernet Sauvignon and 28% Merlot. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2038. 97+ (AG) " (08/2011)

Bid on the 3-bottle lot of 2005 Domaine Faiveley Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru (92-95BH, 92ST) Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A very deftly, indeed almost invisibly oaked nose sets off the elegant earth and iron-infused red berry fruit aromas and mineral-infused, pure, understated and wonderfully vibrant flavors that are built on a base of minerality and possess superb finishing detail on the structured and hugely long finish. This is a wine for the patient and will easily last 25+ years."

2012 Morlet "En Famille" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Morlet "En Famille" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (93ST, 90RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Medium red, a bit darker than the Coteaux Nobles. Less fruity and spicy on the nose today, with the strawberry and cherry aromas currently dominated by mocha, graphite and leather. Much tighter in the mouth as well, but showing a lovely balance between its savory earth and brown spice elements and its deep red fruits. Best today on the long finish, which reveals sweet tannins and a light touch. Try this with squab with foie gras en papillote, says Morlet. (ST)" (05/2014)

Harlan Pinot Noir (95VN, 94RP, 92WE, 91WS) and 2-bottles of 2014 Calera "de Villiers" Mt. Harlan Pinot Noir (95VN, 94JD, 93WE). Of the 2013 Calera "de Villiers" Mt. Harlan Pinot Noir,Vinous writes: "The 2013 Pinot Noir de Villiers Vineyard is intense, pure and brilliant. Dark red cherry, blood orange, lavender, mint, star anise and wild flowers give the de Villiers an exotic edge in this vintage. Plush and deep on the palate, the 2013 is shaping up to be a jewel of a wine. Sweet floral and red-fleshed fruits add freshness on the finish. Today, the De Villiers is sublime, but it also needs time to fully come together. One of the things that separates world-class wineries from the merely excellent is consistency across the entire range. That is exactly what readers will find at Calera. I can't think of any of these wines I would not want to drink

2010 Brewer-Clifton "Mt. Carmel Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Brewer-Clifton "Mt. Carmel Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (93RP, 93ST, 91BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Pinot Noir Mount Carmel is gorgeous. A burst of dark red fruit makes a positive first impression, but everything about the 2010 speaks of balance. The use of whole clusters is not as evident here as elsewhere. Layers of flavors continue to flesh out on the broad-shouldered frame. The Mt. Carmel is a wine of exceptional balance and pure pedigree. It is easily one of the highlights among the new releases. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2018. Steve Clifton describes the 2010 harvest as 2-3 weeks later than normal. The Pinots were brought in during the second and third weeks of September, in between the heat spikes, while the Chardonnays were harvested later, once temperatures cooled off. The 2010s are beautiful, transparent wines that capture the essence of the vintage and their respective sites. (AG)" (08/2012)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Martinelli "Lolita Ranch" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (92ST, 92VN, 91RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Light gold. Broader and riper on the nose than the Three Sisters, displaying scents of ripe melon, Meyer lemon, iodine and toasted nuts; think Meursault versus the Puligny-like character of the precious wine. Pliant honeydew and citrus marmalade flavors are complemented by vanilla and tarragon nuances and a hint of smoky minerality. The mineral quality sharpens the chewy finish, which clings with very good spicy tenacity. (ST)" (05/2014)

Vinous: "Succulent dark cherry, plum, cloves, menthol and new leather open up in the 2014 Pinot Noir Clos Platt. A vibrant, nuanced wine, the Platt stands out for its vertical structure, firm beams of supporting tannin and exceptional balance. Today, the Platt is dark, mysterious and full of personality. Interestingly, Platt and Terra Neuma are next to each other, and yet the wines are so vividly different. (AG)" (02/2016)

Otherwise there is good freshness and verve to the middle weight flavors that possess a suave and rounded mouth feel before culminating in a cool, dusty and firm finish that suggest that this will need, as well as reward, 6 to 8 years of cellaring." 2001 Arrowood "Réserve Spéciale" Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Arrowood "Réserve Spéciale" Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, (90-91ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the most underrated Cabernet Sauvignons made in the world is Arrowood’s 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Speciale. Made from an assortment of vineyards in Sonoma, Alexander Valley and Dry Creek, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon was aged for 23 months in primarily French oak. Its youthful dense purple color is followed by notes of truffles, spring flowers, new saddle leather, creme de cassis, cedar and spice box. Fabulously full-bodied, pure and multidimensional, but still youthful, it is not as backward as the Monte Rosso, and should hit its peak in another 2-4 years and age effortlessly over the following 20-25 years.
