Winemaker's Notes: "Fionn is from the steepest part of the vineyard in the desert. This part of the site is planted to Zinfandel and filled with basalt cobbles. The vines are half the size of those on the lower part of the site. This was fermented in open top vats, whole cluster and tread by foot once a day. John Gilman: "The nose offers up notes of pure black cherry fruit, wood-smoke, minerals, roses, herbs and coffee. On the palate the wine is medium-bodied, complex and fresh, with good, solid depth at the core, lovely soil transparency, and good, if not great length on the bright finish. The wine is marked just a touch by its stems, auguring well for an impressive blossoming down the road.
