2002 Pride Mountain Napa-Sonoma Counties Merlot

93 points Wine & Spirits: "Full and delicious, Pride's Merlot achieves a balanced ripeness at the mountaintop border of Napa and Sonoma counties. The wine has density of fruit while it retains a spot-on varietal identity, a flavor of black cherry and rose petal jam. Tannins amplify the richness with a chocolate warmth, evenly meshed with the fruit across the palate." (6/2005) 93 points Wine Enthusiast: "What a fabulous Merlot. Yes, it’s dense in texture, like molten metal, with melted tannins, but it’s kept lively with clean acids. Meanwhile, the flavors are sheer mountain fruit: concentrated blackberries and ...Read More »

1992 Groth "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

2003 Pride Mountain Napa/Sonoma Counties Merlot

92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good deep red. Sweet nose offers raspberry, cherry and milk chocolate. Fat, lush and sweet, with a soft, pliant, immediately accessible texture and enticing flavors of ripe red fruits. Ripe and aromatic Merlot, finishing with dusty, sweet tannins and lovely length. (ST)" (6/2006) 92 points Wine Spectator: "An openly seductive style, with ripe currant, blackberry and wild berry fruit shaded by splashy mocha and espresso bean oak flavors. It's complex and concentrated, but also quite tannic, so if you pull the cork tonight, decant an hour. (JL)" (9/2005) 90 points Connoisseurs Guide: "Intense, fully extracted cherry- ...Read More »

2013 Domaine Vincent Dauvissat Chablis 1er Cru "Sechet"

90-92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Chablis 1er Cru Sechet has a strict but mineral-drenched bouquet that shows enormous potential. The palate already demonstrates immense clarity with a surfeit of energy and beguiling touches of pure orange zest on the finish. Watch out for this once released! (NM)" (8/2014) 91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An expressive and broad-ranging nose offers up notes of pear, sea water, oyster shell, white peach, citrus and a soft spice nuance. There is good punch to the intensely mineral-driven middle weight flavors that culminate in an intense and markedly dry but not especially auster ...Read More »

1990 Arrowood Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon

92 points Wine Spectator: "Sturdy, tannic, complex and youthful, a big, extracted style with earthy currant, mineral, coffee, leather, sage and tea, firming up on the finish. Very impressive and stylish.--California Cabernet retrospective." (2/2001) Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made from a blend similar to that used for the 1991 Cabernet Sauvignon, the 1990 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals spicy, cedary, cassis-scented aromas, medium-bodied flavors possessing layers of richness, adequate acidity, and a spicy, round, generous finish with noticeable soft tannin. 2015 Calcu Cabernet Franc Colchagua Valley

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I had never tasted the Cab Franc, but they started in 2009. My first encounter was with the 2013 Cabernet Franc, which bears the subtitle Reserva Especial; it is a fresh and fruit-driven, quite varietal and spicy effort, with freshly cracked black peppercorns and contained ripeness. The wine is quite transparent and focused. None of these wines are corrected in terms of acidity or alcohol, as they also want to express the zone from which they come. There has to be a correlation between nose and palate, it's dry and the oak feels very integrated. The modu ...Read More »

2004 Pride Mountain Napa-Sonoma Counties Merlot

94 points Wine Spectator: "Ripe and fleshy, with a pretty dash of toasty oak. The fruit is sweet, with currant and berry flavors that are intense, concentrated and complex, ending with a pretty burst of fruit and oak that lingers. Well-structured, with ripe tannins. (JL)" (2/2007) 91 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Dark red. Sexy, expressive, slightly high-toned nose melds redcurrant, cranberry, leather and nuts. Supple and refined, with a creamy texture to the red fruit and spice flavors. Finishes with broad, dusty tannins and lovely aromatic persistence. Slightly high-toned throughout but not overly sweet. I find t ...Read More »

2017 Susana Balbo "Signature" Malbec Rosé Mendoza

92 points James Suckling: "The best rosé in Argentina? Either way, this is super-fresh and pure with more floral and candied citrus notes than red berries plus a stunning balance of racy acidity and mineral freshness. Made from malbec and pinot noir. Drink now." (5/2018) 91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The very pale 2017 Susana Balbo Rosé is produced with 60% Malbec and 40% Pinot Noir. In reality, this is more of a white in terms of the aromatic and flavor profile. It's super fresh, light and agile, with notes of flowers, a vibrant palate and delicious flavors. 2007 Williams Selyem Central Coast Pinot Noir

90 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright red. Spicy red and dark berry aromas are complemented by fresh flowers and baking spices. Smoothly blends spicy and sweet on the palate, offering black raspberry and white pepper qualities and finishing with dusty tannins that add grip. A deeper cherry note arrives on the long, sappy aftertaste. This is already delicious. 2014 Domaine Vincent Dauvissat Chablis 1er Cru "Sechet"

89-92 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "There is a touch of dried apricot to the white peach, tidal pool and discreet citrus-infused nose. The lush but vibrant medium-bodied flavors possess good minerality and reasonably good detail, all wrapped in an impressively long and complex finish where a hint of lemon zest appears. This should reward up to a decade of cellaring." (10/2015) 90-92 points Vinous: "Bright yellow. Tight nose hints at crushed stone and menthol, plus a whiff of petrol. Tactile, intense and clean; shows strong minerality and acidity, and the nervosité that comes from calcaire, and yet it's not auster ...Read More »

2010 Domaine Vincent Dauvissat Chablis 1er Cru "La Forest"

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There is something elusive about the 2010 Chablis La Forest, but a serious core of fruit lies behind the feminine, sensual bouquet. White peaches, mint, jasmine and crushed rocks are layered into the sleek, silky finish. Once again, the Forest is all about understatement and class. This is another superb, incisive 2010 from Dauvissat. (AG)" (8/2012) 94 points Vinous: "Vincent Dauvissat's 2010 Chablis La Forest, which we ordered by the half-bottle, was superb. Brewery Ommegang "Hennepin" Farmhouse Saison, New York (750ml)

93 points Wine Enthusiast: "Hennepin is a classic domestic saison, a benchmark for the style. Brewed with grains of paradise, ginger and sweet-orange peel, this is spicy and attractive right from the start, with additional aromas and flavors of pepper, pale malt, Anjou pear, underripe banana, tart citrus and fresh grass. Medium to light in body, this is remarkably balanced, with crisp, tingling carbonation that leads into the dry yet refreshing finish. A no-brainer for summer entertaining, just beware of the well-hidden alcohol." (6/2014)

2000 Pride Mountain Napa Valley Petite Sirah

92 points Wine Spectator: "Dark, rich, intense and concentrated with a muscular core of earthy currant, cedar, plum, game meat and tobacco. Ruggedly tannic, with lots of mineral and sage notes woven into the fabric. (JL)" (5/2003) 90 points Wine Enthusiast: "Another tasting panel favorite, this is a big, extracted wine, but far from clumsy. 2000 Alfred Gratien Brut Vintage Champagne

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2000 Brut Millésime is a blend of 65% Chardonnay, 18% Pinot Noir and 17% Meunier. The wine offers intense and super ripe tropical fruit aromas (melons, mangos) along with honey flavors on the very complex nose. It's very pure and elegant on the palate, very complex and stunningly fresh; but it also shows a first maturity or varnish (whole grain bread),which gives an extra maturity. This has great length, great maturity and lovely salinity; it is firm and mineral. This Champagne will be great with food. L16011 was disgorged in December 2015. (SR) ...Read More »

2009 Anderson's Conn Valley "Right Bank" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Proprietary Red Right Bank offers up sweet dark cherries, mint, licorice, dried flowers, scorched earth and tobacco, all in a gracious, mid-weight style. A bit rough at first, the 2009 opens up beautifully with time in the glass as the aromatics find their focus and the tannins soften a bit. Ideally, the 2009 is best cellared for another few years, which should help the elements to come together a little bit more. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2027. (AG)" (12/2012)

1986 Chateau de Ravignan Bas-Armagnac (750ml)

From the importer: "Castles have graced the property of what is now the Château de Ravignan since the 12th century. The name "Ravignan" itself comes from the deep ravines surrounding the property that once served as a natural defense. The château was later occupied by feudal barons and partially destroyed during the religious wars of the 16th century. In the mid-17th century, a Louis XIII manor was built on the property. ? Vineyards were planted in 1732. Around the same time, the property was sold to Jean La Croix, who later took the name Ravignan.?"

The intense and beautifully well-detailed flavors possess a silky mouth feel as well as the same stony character telegraphed by the nose, all wrapped in an impressively long and slightly austere and lemon-inflected finish. This sleek effort should reward a few years of bottle age yet also be accessible on the early side." 2002 Pride Mountain Sonoma County Syrah

91 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good full ruby. Superripe aromas of mocha, gunflint, minerals and roasted game. Sweet on entry, then aromatic and minerally, with vinous, lively flavors of dark fruits, dark chocolate and spices. Not thick but intensely flavored and juicy. Finishes long and slightly saline. A step up from the 2001 bottling, which showed more of a late-harvest character. (ST)" (5/2004) 90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 Syrah displays Bob Foley’s ability to adapt to different varietals and winemaking styles. 1990 Louis Jadot Corton-Pougets Grand Cru

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Jadot produced three Cortons in 1990. The Corton-Pougets is a backward yet spectacular wine. This is a specialty of the house and is often among the finest red wines from the Corton appellation. The 1990 is a huge, massive, monster of a wine, with extraordinary richness, a viscous texture, and astonishing chewiness in its glycerin-dominated, high alcohol, tannic finish. It needs at least 5-6 years of cellaring and should last for 20-30 years. 1990 Jordan Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Wine Spectator: "Tight, young and chunky, especially for Jordan, but the flavors are familiar, with herb, currant and spicy wood flavors. The tannin level on the finish suggests this wine be cellared another three to five years, but it has richness, depth and good extract. (JL)" (6/1994) K&L Notes: Most recent vintage notes from the winery: "A more robust version of the 1980 vintage, the 1990 Jordan is still lively with dried cherry and plum leading the aromatics, with pleasant nuances of forest floor, eucalyptus, tobacco and tea making up the background. 2014 Rochioli "Rachael's Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay

Eden clone, which is believed to be a clone sourced from one of Puligny-Montrachet’s grand cru vineyards. Crushed stone, quince, white currant and white peach notes all jump from the glass of this wine, which has great intensity, freshness, terrific acidity and a long finish. Drink it over the next 5-7 years. (RP)" (3/2016) 92 points Vinous: "Rochioli's 2014 Chardonnay Rachael's Vineyard is powerful and intense, but also not fully put together yet. It exhibits abundant minerality, tighter, harder tannins and plenty of licorice, underbrush and mossy red and black fruit characteristics. 2012 Domaine Vincent Dauvissat Chablis 1er Cru "La Forest"

Lemon oil, ash, smoke and petrol are some of the many nuances that inform a tightly-wound finish that never really opens up. The 2012 Forest is a wine for the patient, but it is shaping up to be a gem. (AG)" (8/2014) 94 points Wine Enthusiast: "Soil-driven aromas of apple, biscuit, chlorophyll, fern, anise and flowers. Antinori brought in well-known consultant Renzo Cotarella to improve the quality and, hopefully, get this winery back to the lofty heights it achieved in the seventies and early eighties. 2015 Château Vitallis Pouilly-Fuissé "Les Perrieres"

Vitallis is a new "hidden gem" our buyers found in the Mâcon, where small producers fly under the radar. In classic Burgundian fashion, the Dutron family has been growing vines since 1835, and now owns some of the oldest and best parcels in the village of Fuissé in the Pouilly-Fuissé district. In the glass, the wines live up to the hype: subtle, like any good white Burgundy, but complex, mineral-driven and poised.
