K&L Notes

From La Maison Antech, located in the Southern France region of the Languedoc, comes this beautiful example of Cremant de Limoux. Named after the grande dame of the estate, Eugenie Limouzy, this Cremant is composed of 50% Chardonnay, 40% Chenin Blanc and 10% Mauzac. It is produced along the lines of methode champenoise and spends 12 months on the lees before being disgorged. This balanced and elegant sparkling wine reveals subtle hints of citrus fruits, toast and honey. At less than half the price of a bottle of Champagne, the Cuvée Eugenie is a smart choice for your house sparkling wine or to feature at parties where quality and good taste matter.

A fantastic choice of bubbly for your next party or get-together. The blend consists of the classic Limoux blend of Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Pinot Noir, and regionally star Mauzac. Light florals, citrus sherbert, and honey notes on the nose are juxtaposed to flavors of toast, Meyer lemon, and crisp minerality on the palate. The texture is quite pleasing, with a fine mousse and pleasant elevated acidity allowing for easy drinking. Whether it is enjoyed on its own or with brunch cocktails, this will surely be a hit at your next gathering

Most definitely one of the best deals in bubbles outside of Champagne. With an intriguing balance between richness and delicacy, this is lemony and honeyed but perfectly Brut. Pair it with any creamy fish dishes, blinis, fondue, banana-based desserts, carrot cake, or just as an aperitif watching the sun setting over the Pacific!

From our favorite direct import producer of French sparkling wine comes the newest vintage of the exquisite Cuvee Eugenie. A unique blend of 50% Chardonnay, 40% Chenin Blanc and 10% Mauzac, this exceedingly well-balanced bottling shows characteristic chalky minerality, ripe pear, fresh lemon and orange zest, subtle floral aromatics, and hints of toasty brioche. There is real prestige and beauty here, which makes the low price point hard to believe. Extremely fresh and refined, this will pair beautifully with fish in buttercream, but is inexpensive enough (and perfectly suited) for your favorite fried chicken.

From the southern French region of the Languedoc comes this beautiful example of Cremant de Limoux, very characteristic of the variety, with perfume of white flower, citrus, lemon soda and drying mineral tones. The wine offers intensity and precision with focused attention on acidity and freshness. A great party pleaser.

Year after year we've offered this extraordinary sparkling wine from Southwest France to our fortunate customers, and the Eugenie never fails to bring a welcome smile to office parties, holiday gatherings, birthdays, or any occasion calling for a great bubbly! With its enticing citrus, white flower and brioche notes, characterized by an elegant mousse and bright acidity, how can you gone wrong? An absolute stunner, for half the price of an entry-level Champagne.
