Anchor Brewing IPA (12oz)
Hoppy IPAs are nothing new in the Bay Area, but while Anchor Brewing has been making dry-hopped, handmade brews since they were established in 1975, they haven't made a foray into the modern India Pale Ale style until now. From the brewery: "Anchor IPA is made with 2-row barley malt and fresh whole-cone hops, its bright amber color, distinctively complex aroma, spiky bitterness, malty depth, and clean finish unite to create a uniquely flavorful, memorable, and timeless craft IPA." The bottle is adorned with a hand-drawn elephant that harkens back to San Francisco's Gold Rush history. To "see the elephant" was a popular expression during the Gold Rush that represented the risky pursuit of happiness, adventure and fortune.
