This is a treasure and a rarity from this awesome independent bottler. Here you have four different barrels from four different distilleries, each representing a unique 'appellation' in the scotch landscape. Like a jazz quartet, the individual characteristics of the whiskies shine through and work together for a complete and brilliant composition. Light peat and smoke flavors are definitely present alongside a lush and oily maltiness, with honey, candied fruits, and vanilla. Cut this beauty with some water- this cask strength wonder is a beast, but it's also the best thing rattray has ever done.
Drink from 2011 to 3011
