Anchor Brewing "Anchor Steam" (12oz)

SKU #1049570

Anchor Steam? The perenially popular beer brewed in San Francisco since 1896 derives its name from 19th century slang. 'Steam' was a widely used nickname for beer brewed on the west coast, and this Bay Area brew epitomizes NorCal charm. Made with an all-malt mash in a copper brewhouse, the beer has a malty nose with a hint of red fruit and caramel. Smooth and enjoyable.

Anchor Steam is a world renowned ale. Goes great with lunch or dinner or to drink at the ball park. Malty bouquet, wonderful caramel color, fresh hops slowly explode in the mouth without being overbearing, and a lingering finish. I like to say "England meets California" in the way the malt and hops blend together to make a unique yet classic brew. One of my top 5 in the universe.
