Veuve Clicquot Brut Rosé Champagne
Wine & Spirits
A whimsical play on fruit and spice, this is delicate enough to hint at an orange blossom scent and meaty enough to serve with cured sausages. It bristles with acidity over red fruit, lasting on heady complexity.
This is a beautiful, full rosé that is rich and shows a fine balance between acidity and fruitiness. This bottling is also mature with toastiness coming through, giving a softer, rounder character. There is weight, and great acidity on the finish.
Fresh and creamy in texture, this offers a lightly smoky overtone to the flavors of strawberry tart, pastry cream, grated coconut and ground spice. Drink now through 2018.

Light, bright orange. Fresh redcurrant and strawberry aromas are complemented by notes of orange zest and anise. Brisk, mineral-accented red fruit flavors are slightly pinched but gain depth with air. Finishes with a bitter blood orange quality and firm grip.
The non-vintage rosé from Clicquot is made using grapes from 50 to 60 different villages, its structure based on Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label's traditional blend, which is 50-55% Pinot Noir, 15-20% Pinot Meunier and 28-33% Chardonnay. The blend includes a high percentage of "reserve wines" originating from several harvests of the past. It is completed with approximately 12% of red wine using black grapes from the village of Bouzy.
