1991 Bruichladdich WMD II - Yellow Submarine Islay Single Malt Whisky (750ml)

SKU #1019676

No Longer Available! Bruichladdich Distillery was awarded "Pioneer of the Year 2007" by the Malt Advocate! Tasting Notes From Jim McEwan: Color: Golden Sunset/Autumn Evenings Body: Medium weight, lively and vibrant with a splendid sweet fruity texture. Nose: The wonderfully alive aromas of crisp malt, oak vanilla and orange marmalade rush to impress and they certainly do. Waiting in line is soft cherry, raspberry, cranberry and rose petals. The red fruits coming from the spirit's liaison with the Rioja cask brings a Spanish warmth to the hones "Let's not get too excited remember who we are" Islander and it's a brilliant match. The melodious mix of aromas glide over the senses serenely with glorious malty notes willing the fruits to perform. An absolute olfactory dancer. Palate: It's racy and irresistible. Initially the sweet red fruity flavours tease the palate, soft and delectable creating the wow factor. Upping the tempo is the mellow syrup and sweet oak, closely followed by the malted barley which brings the heart and soul of Islay to the submariner. A dram to get lost in. Finish: Closure is prolonged with the Hebridean mantle burning brightly.
