Broadbent Vinho Verde

SKU #1016600

This is a true classic Vinho Verde, non vintage and made to drink on the spot! It is light in color with a slight spritz from bubbles. On the nose it is refreshing, light and lively, on the palate it is also light (only 9% alcohol] and delicious. It is very "more-ish," an English tasting term meaning that you want to drink more of it! In fact, it is so light, refreshing and easy to drink, it's a good thing it is low alcohol. The acidity is refreshing, and the wine is great fun. Loureiro +/- 50%, Trajadura +/- 40% and Pedernã +/- 10% from the following regions within the Vinho Verde appelation: Braga, Barcelos and Guimãraes.

This nearly-clear, quaffable delight is only 9% alcohol, so it’s ok to stock up. It is refreshing and light with the bright citrus quality of freshly squeezed lime and just a touch of herbaceousness on the finish. With the added bonus of a slight ‘fizz’, you have got yourself an adult, more refined, version of Fresca.

- Although quite small, Portugal produces a great variety of wines ranging from light and fizzy Vinho Verde to hearty and tannic Port. Portugal is Europe's fourth-largest wine-producing region, and has been exporting its wine since the 14th century. The Douro Valley of Portugal is the original and current home for the world's finest Port. The valley spans from east of the city of Oporto all the way to the border of Spain and is the country's best known wine region. Lesser-appreciated DOCs like Bairrada and Dão area also emerging for their fine, rustic reds.
