Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Gargiulo "G Major 7 Study'' Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon. Winery notes: "G Major 7 Study Cabernet Sauvignon is blended from selected fruit off the 575 ovx vineyard and is named after a classic jazz guitar chord. Like its namesake, it is composed of four of the five classic Bordeaux varietals, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot and Merlot. G Major 7 is highly nuanced and provides a profound sense of elegance and complexity, changing with every swirl and sip. The nose reflects subtle floral notes, which develop into deep, crushed berry and earth flavors on the palate. Its tannins are refined and seamlessly integrated. The aging potential is 25 plus years."
Starting Bid: $227.00

Bid on this bottle of 1973 Robert Mondavi "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96DC). Decanter: "An epic vertical tasting of the Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon celebrated the 50th anniversary of Robert Mondavi Winery this year. The most moving bottle was the 1966, served over dinner and introduced by Magrit Mondavi (who sadly passed away in September at the age of 91) who described the frenetic activity that surrounded that inaugural vintage. The greatest wine, however, was the 1973. At the time, the Mondavi team believed this vintage to be the best of the previous fifteen years; little did they know it might turn out to be the best Reserve ever made. A stunning bouquet of rose petal, fragrant red-black fruit, rich soil and licorice prefaces a very youthful, vibrant wine with compelling density, freshness and purity. This is just cruising along in the cellar. Picked at 23 Brix and fermented, believe it or not, in roto-fermenters (the Mondavi winery was always ‘cutting edge’). The blen

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Staglin "Estate" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (94VN, 93WS). Vinous: "The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is an attractive, racy wine with plush fruit, soft contours and tons of sheer immediacy. Sweet red berry fruit, floral notes, spice and mint are all nicely lifted in this enticing, mid-weight Cabernet Sauvignon from Staglin. The 2017 offers lovely freshness and aromatic presence in a medium-bodied Cabernet that can be enjoyed with minimal cellaring. 94+ (AG)" (01/2020)
Starting Bid: $250.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Harlan "The Maiden" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97WE, 94WS, 92RP, 91ST). Wine Enthusiast: "The ’04 Maiden is very close to Harlan Estate in quality. The Maiden is a touch less elegant; but it is such a wholesome wine, so succulent in blackberry, cassis, licorice, and roasted cedar. The tannins are so regal—even the slight prickle of acidity works for polish. *Cellar Selection*" (12/2007)
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Sine Qua Non "Pajarito del Amor - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache (100JD, 100RP, 98VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Composed of 85.4% Grenache, 7.1% Petite Sirah, 6.9% Syrah and 0.6% Viognier, employing 56% whole cluster, the nose of this opaque, garnet-purple colored uber-Grenache completely explodes with a candied violets, mandarin peel and Indian spices perfume, giving way to a core of bursting-ripe red berries—redcurrants, Morello cherries and raspberries—with an undercurrent of earth, earth and more sweet, fragrant earth. The numbers are telling me this is a full-bodied wine (16.9% alcohol), but the palate is deceptively ethereal, possessing more of a medium to full-bodied feel, thanks in part to bags of well-integrated freshness and fantastic harmony, with soft, silt-like tannins, finishing with loads of savory layers and a fragrant, floral breeze. Yowza, that's good. (LPB)" (08/2020)
Starting Bid: $675.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (98RP, 97WS, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The sensationally pure and seamless 2014 James Berry Vineyard Proprietary Red (42% Grenache, 24% Mourvèdre, 21% Syrah, 8% Counoise and 5% Roussanne) was brought up in a mix of barrels and foudre, followed by six months in concrete tanks. The wine offers incredibly rich and layered notes of black raspberries, creme de cassis, crushed flowers, melted licorice and peppery herbs in its full-bodied, impeccably balanced profile. Showing the more upfront, hedonistic style of the vintage, this full-bodied beauty still has ample underlying tannin, beautiful mid-palate depth and a killer finish that keeps you coming back for more. (JD)" (09/2016)
Starting Bid: $330.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Reynvaan "The Contender" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (96RP, 94WE, 94WS, 92VN, 92W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A classic Rocks Syrah, the 2012 Syrah The Contender is a deep, rich, full-bodied beauty that boasts terrific notes of ripe plums, blackberries, truffle and wild herbs. Incorporating 3% Marsanne (which also give the texture some oomph), it has a big, layered, seamless texture, no hard edges and sweet tannin. Drink it anytime over the coming 10-15 years. (JD)" (06/2015)
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this magnum of 2012 Cayuse "Wallah Wallah Special #4" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (1.5L) (96RP, 95VN, 94WE, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made by Christophe as a tribute to Côte Rôtie and coming from a blend of estate vineyards, the 2012 Syrah Wallah Wallah #4 Special spent 22 months in older puncheons and neutral smaller barrels before being bottled only in Magnum, of which there’s only 2,500 to go around. Hitting 13.6% natural alcohol, its deep ruby, semi-opaque color is followed by fabulous notes of rose petals, incense, violets, leather and sweet raspberry. These flow seamlessly to a full-bodied, supple and elegant Syrah that has no hard edges, integrated acidity and thrilling purity of fruit. Showing more and more tannin with time in the glass, it needs to be forgotten for 4-5 years and will have an easy two decades or more of longevity. (JD) 96+" (06/2015)
Starting Bid: $160.00

Bid on this bottle of 2003 Marcassin "Blue Slide Ridge" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (98RP, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "(Note from 2007 review, re-reviewed with no new note in 2008) The utterly profound 2003 Pinot Noir Blue Slide Ridge is a candidate for one of California’s greatest Pinot Noirs. A full-bodied beauty, it offers up aromas of plums, anise, forest floor, black and blue fruits, and gamy, sweet, aged beef. With unreal complexity, in addition to superb texture, purity, and definition, this is a tour de force in winemaking that confirms the brilliance of this husband and wife team who recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. (RP)" (12/2008)
Starting Bid: $160.00

Bid on this bottle of 1980 Shafer Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon. The third vintage from this then fledgling operation in Napa's Stags Leap District, and proof that John Shafer already knew a thing or two before he began! Mature, with lead pencil shavings, tobacco notes and slightly drying cassis fruit.
Starting Bid: $220.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Harlan "The Maiden" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97WE, 94RP, 92VN). Wine Enthusiast: "Massive, decadent. Opens with extraordinary aromas of cedar, black currants, cherries, chocolate, sage, pepper and anise, with hints of roasted game. Feels very round, smooth but powerful. Almost sweet in red and black currants and chocolate. So refined, absolutely delicious. Beautiful, lush, complex, soft." (05/2009)
Starting Bid: $566.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Promise Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Antonio Galloni writes: "Steve McPherson left behind a successful career as television executive to focus on his dream of making world-class wine. Promise emerges from a plot in Rich Frank’s Winston Hill vineyard in Rutherford. The wine spends about 30 months in new French oak barrels. There is no shortage of boutique wineries in Napa Valley, but Promise is the real deal. Steve McPherson and his team have succeeded in crafting one of the most unique Cabernet Sauvignons readers will come across."
Starting Bid: $375.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Larkmead "Solari" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99JD, 99RP, 95JS, 95WS, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Solari (100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 20 months in 70% new French oak) is even better than I thought last year. This spectacular wine boasts notes of white chocolate, hot gravel, crème de cassis, blackberries, licorice and forest floor. A subtle smoky barbecue character is noticeable in the background. (RP)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Le Dôme, St-Emilion (99RP, 95JS, 95ST, 95WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the most distinctive wines made in Bordeaux, Le Dome has one of the highest percentages of Cabernet Franc of any claret I can think of. Composed of 80% Cabernet Franc and 20% Merlot, it exhibits a certain delicacy and elegance (due to the Cabernet Franc component) in addition to resounding power, concentration, depth and multidimensional personality. Black/purple to the rim, it offers strikingly intense notes of spring flowers, raspberries, mulberries and wood smoke, medium to full body, sweet tannin and a cunning intensity and texture that suggest finesse and delicacy. However, the wine’s richness, length and lingering depth build incrementally in this exceptional St.-Emilion. It will be drinkable in 4-5 years and should age for two decades or more. This is Jonathan Malthus’ finest wine to date. (RP)" (02/2012)
Starting Bid: $310.00

Bid on this bottle of 1990 Domaine du Clos de Tart Clos de Tart Grand Cru (Mommessin) (95WS, 93VN, 90BH). Wine Spectator: "Unique, fascinating and well structured, offering crushed black pepper aromas and flavors that run like a thread through the bright berry and smoke characteristics. A beauty of a wine..." (12/1992)
Starting Bid: $435.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (95DC, 94RP, 94ST, 93JS, 92WE). Decanter: "Tight and unyielding at the moment, but with great pedigree, great texture and definition, this has lots of life to come. Poised and impactful, with juicy and mouthwatering fruit. Punches far above the weight of the vintage, one of those get-a-straw-in-the-glass wines: among the best of the tasting. Here tension rises, and your mouth waters on the finish. This is delicate but punchy, with perfect balance. (JA)" (06/2016)
Starting Bid: $197.00

Bid on this bottle of 1999 Dalla Valle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95WS, 94JD, 94RP, 94WE, 93ST). Wine Spectator: "A potent wine, dark, rich and concentrated, with a tight, intense, sharply focused beam of spicy currant, black cherry, blackberry and boysenberry fruit that unfolds gracefully, revealing extra facets of depth and complexity. (JL)" (11/2002)
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Sine Qua Non "Résisté" Central Coast White Blend (97RP, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "the 2013 White Wine Resiste is a sensational white from California that's made from 45% Roussanne, 26% Chardonnay, 14% Petite Manseng, 10% Viognier and 5% Marsanne that spent 19 months in 46% new French oak and the balance in concrete eggs and used barrels. Possessing rock-star levels of richness and texture on the palate, with full-bodied depth and power that never seems heavy or cumbersome, it has classic SQN white notes of buttered golden fruits, honeysuckle, honeycomb, toast and white flowers. Unctuous, full-flavored and still lively and fresh, it needs 2-3 years of cellaring and will keep for two decades. (JD)" (08/2015)
Starting Bid: $375.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2015 Carmel Road "Panorama Vineyard" Arroyo Seco Pinot Noir. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Pinot Noir Panorama Vineyard reveals attractive notes of sweet red berries, cinnamon stick, orange rind and potpourri. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, supple and open-knit, with melting tannins, adequate acidity and a sapid finish. Enjoy it over the next handful of years. (WK)" (04/2018)
Starting Bid: $90.00

Bid on this bottle of 2013 Domaine Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru ((89-92BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "There is a very subtle hint of the exotic to the cool and fresh aromas of apple, floral and discreet spice and oak scents. The delicious and overtly stony broad-shouldered flavors possess a really lovely mouth feel before terminating in a slightly drying finish and short finish. There is however a significant amount of gas present that may very well be responsible for the dryness and in any event certainly exacerbates it. As such I am less confident in my projected range than usual and I look forward to revisiting this wine in bottle next year." (06/2015)
Starting Bid: $115.00

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Abreu "Rothwell Hyde" St. Helena Bordeaux Blend (97JD, 94JS, 93VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "First made in 2001, the 2015 Rothwell Hyde is a complex blend from all four of the estate vineyards. It's unquestionably more forward and approachable than the single vineyards yet plays in the powerful, serious, incredibly impressive style of this estate. Blockbuster notes of blue fruits, barbecue smoke, camphor, and violets all flow to a full-bodied, thrillingly pure, flamboyant 2015 that has sweet tannins, no hard edges, and remarkable purity of fruit. It's well worth your time and money and can be drunk any time over the coming 3 decades. " (01/2019)
Starting Bid: $115.00

Bid on this bottle of 2011 Levy & McClellan "Ampersand" Napa Valley Red Blend. Formed in 1999 by husband and wife Bob Levy and Martha McClellan, each a highly lauded winemaker in their own right, Levy & McClellan is a boutique cult Napa brand up there with the likes of Harlan (where Bob served as long-time winemaker), Realm, Ovid, and Hundred Acre. Martha's resumé includes time at the helm at such luminary properties as Sloan and Blankiet, so these two represent the hands behind some of Napa's most acclaimed (and coveted) wines. These wines are mailing list only and are extremely difficult to find on the open market. Robert Parker writes, "Although expensive, no one will complain about the quality in the bottle as they are clearly Napa Valley first-growths."
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Frank Family Vineyards "Reserve - Lady Edythe" Carneros Sparkling Wine (91CG, 90WS). Connoisseurs Guide: "If a sparkler that has seen plenty time in the bottle, this one does not play to the overt toastiness that aged sparklers are wont to do but is instead a mildly creamy, neatly tailored rendition that has held on to a touch of evident fruit. It is a touch soft in feel with a dosage that nudges it to the upward limits of sweetness for a Brut, but it is made all the more mannerly by its lack of biting acidity. While it will certainly serve handily with a wide range of lighter foods, it is a polished wine that has matured nicely and is one that is very easy to sip on its own. *Two Stars*" (12/2017)
Starting Bid: $225.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1978 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (92WS, 91RP). Wine Spectator: "(JS; no tasting note given)" (01/1989)
Starting Bid: $380.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Morlet "Coeur de Vallée" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 94JS, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Luc Morlet’s 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Coeur de Vallée is a 300-case blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet Franc from the Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard. A mindblowing effort, it offers up notes of mocha, forest floor, blueberries, blackcurrants, asphalt and licorice. Full-bodied and opulent, this sensational 2012 is one of the vintage’s superstars. (RP)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $230.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1983 Latour, Pauillac (95JG, 94WS, 90JS, 90VN). John Gilman: "The 1983 Château Latour has never had a great reputation, and I probably had not tasted the wine since close to its release back in the mid-1980s. I was very surprised to see just how stunning the wine has turned out to be, given that Robert Parker only gave it 87 points back in the day. However, this particular magnum was absolutely stellar, offering up a deep, complex and classic nose of cassis, black cherries, dark gravelly soil tones, tobacco leaf, cedar and a topnote of cigar smoke. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and rock solid at the core, with fine structure and grip, excellent gravelly undertow, still moderate tannins and a long, complex and perfectly balanced and classic Latour finish. This is a very, very underrated vintage of Latour." (09/2020)
Starting Bid: $900.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 L'Aventure "La Suite" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (93VN, 92JD). Vinous: "(43% grenache, 40% mourvedre and 17% syrah): Bright ruby. Sexy aromas of raspberry, Asian spices and lavender, with notes of cola, sassafras and anise building with air. Deeply pitched red berry flavors show unlikely finesse, with zesty minerality adding spine and focus. Tannins come on late and are nicely woven into the wine's sappy fruit. An impressively energetic blend in the style of the vintage, finishing with strong cut and spicy persistence. (JR)" (11/2012)
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Cayuse "En Cerise" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (97RP, 96WS, 94VN, 94WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Always coming from a small 2.5-acre block inside the En Cerise vineyard, the 2012 Syrah en Cerise is a fabulously complex, seamless and elegant Syrah that exhibits notes of dried cherries, currants, dried herbs, violets and cured meats. These all flow to a full-bodied, nicely concentrated Syrah that shows the more structured, savory side to the vintage. Slightly less flamboyant and decadent from bottle than barrel, I think it will reward 3-4 years of cellaring, and keep for two decades. As I've said numerous times, Christophe Baron and assistant winemaker Elizabeth Bourcier produce some of the most singular and impressive wines out there. (JD)" (06/2015)
Starting Bid: $282.77

Bid on this bottle of 1998 Domaine Ponsot Chambertin Grand Cru. Founded in 1872, Domaine Ponsot began bottling estate wine in 1934 (much earlier than most Burgundy producers). The estate is still owned and operated by the Ponsot family, making highly regarded 1er cru and village wines from nearly 27 acres of premium vineyards. From the producer: "Unfettered by the latest fashions, we have always sought to express the richness of Burgundy terroir through 'natural' cultivation practices. Human intervention is limited and only applied to the help that the vine needs, without ever trying to force it in any way. And every generation since the foundation of the Domaine in 1872 has subscribed to this Love of Nature and, by the same token, its respect."
Starting Bid: $190.00

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Spottswoode "Family Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 99JD, 97WE, 96VN, 95JS, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is deep garnet-purple colored with a mind-blowingly gorgeous nose that defies words: warm cassis, red roses, sandalwood, Indian spices, crushed rocks, menthol and iron ore with waft of lilacs and truffles. Medium to full-bodied with a rock-solid frame of super-ripe, grainy tannins and tons of freshness, it finishes incredibly long and remains incredibly provocative. (LPB)" (10/2018)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2013 Littorai Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir Horizontal, including 1-bottle of 2013 Littorai "B.A. Thieriot Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (91VN), 2-bottles of 2013 Littorai "Mays Canyon" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (92VN), and 1-bottle of 2013 Littorai "Savoy Vineyard" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir (91VN). Of the 2013 Littorai "Mays Canyon" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir,Vinous writes: "The 2013 Pinot Noir Mays Canyon is one of the darker wines in the range. There is good up-front fruit, but then the tannins become a bit more austere through the middle and into the finish. Hints of dried flowers, herbs, licorice, red cherries, plums and mint add nuance, while savory notes add an attractive flourish on the close. The Mays Canyon is a solid wine for the year. (AG)" (02/2016)
Starting Bid: $215.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Domaine Caroline Morey Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Caillerets" ((91-93BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: " A ripe and softly exotic yet cool nose exhibits notes of dried white and yellow orchard fruit, especially apricot and passion fruit. There is outstanding intensity to the notably finer and more mineral-driven medium-bodied flavors that possess better depth as well as better balanced on the more firmly structured finale. This is excellent but patience strongly advised. *Sweet Spot Outstanding*" (06/2019)
Starting Bid: $230.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 1997 Maurice Ecard Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru Tasting Lot, including 1-bottle of 1997 Domaine Maurice Ecard Savigny-lès-Beaune "Les Pimentiers", 2-bottles of 1997 Maurice Ecard Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru "Les Narbantons", and 2-bottles of 1997 Maurice Ecard Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru "Serpentières". Of the 1997 Domaine Maurice Ecard Savigny-lès-Beaune "Les Pimentiers",According to the U.S. importer, this domaine "has been producing some of the best Premiers Crus in Savigny for more than 200 years. Founder Maurice Ecard, who is now retired, was considered by many experts to be the father of the appellation; the ‘Master of Savigny’. The new owner, François Martenot, has been carefully following Maurice’s footsteps in order to continue his legacy."
Starting Bid: $130.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (97RP, 97VN, 96JD, 95WS). Vinous: "Glass-staining ruby. Heady aromas of mineral-tinged dark berry liqueur, incense and roasted coffee, with a suave floral nuance adding brightness. Smoky, appealingly sweet and focused, offering palate-staining black and blue fruit and candied licorice flavors that are braced by juicy acidity and a late flourish of five-spice powder. Closes with outstanding clarity and floral-dominated persistence, leaving suave floral pastille and spicecake notes behind, eventually. (JR)" (11/2017)
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Sesta di Sopra Brunello di Montalcino (96RP, 95VN, 94JS, 94WE, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The excellent 2010 Brunello di Montalcino is a true standout of the vintage. This is a deep, full-bodied expression with thick aromatic layers that give the bouquet a greater semblance of importance and intensity. Dark plum, blackberry, dried cherry, licorice, tar, black truffle, leather and cured meat all play supporting roles. The wine ages in large oak casks for three years for a slow oxidative evolution that has set the course for this wine's steady lonegevity. Smoke, ash and crushed stone make for elegant background tones. Drink it after 2017. (ML)" (02/2015)
Starting Bid: $110.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98JS, 97RP, (93-96ST), 94WS). James Suckling: "The aromas to this wine are very complex and brooding with blackcurrants, sage and spearmint. Souis bois and wet earth then turn to black fruits. Entrancing nose. This is full-bodied, yet tight and focused with compressed tannins and a long finish. Very intense volcanic sea salt to the wines. A much more subtle and mind-provoking style." (07/2015)
Starting Bid: $460.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Realm "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 96JS, 94VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon emerges from another first-growth vineyard that was acquired by Andy Beckstoffer in 1993, and planted with multiple clones of Cabernet Sauvignon and a small amount of Cabernet Franc. The original vineyard was planted in 1868, but the present one consists of nearly 90 acres. The 2012 reveals incredible complexity and density with notes of Christmas fruitcake, baking spices, licorice, crème de cassis and forest floor. Full-bodied with the vintage’s opulence and drama, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon was fashioned from Clones 4 and 337. (RP) 97+" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $190.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Sine Qua Non "Rattrapante - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache (100RP, 97VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A perfect wine any way you look at it, the 2012 Grenache Rattrapante comes all from the Eleven Confessions Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills and spent 33 months in 27% new French oak. My notes start - and end - with “Wow.” Giving up tons of black raspberries, peppery herbs, licorice, dried flowers and cured meats, it’s a massively concentrated, rich and layered Grenache that somehow manages to stay graceful, lively and fresh on the palate. There are roughly 800 cases of this elixir and any Grenache lover should do their best to latch onto a bottle (or two). It’s also worth noting that this cuvee saw 26% whole clusters, which is a small change from past vintages. (JD)" (08/2016)
Starting Bid: $795.00

Bid on this magnum of 2018 Kongsgaard "The Judge" Napa Valley Chardonnay (1.5L) ((97-99RP), (95-97VN)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Chardonnay The Judge (a barrel sample) leaps from the glass with vivacious notes of mandarin peel, lemongrass and lime leaves with a core of fresh pink grapefruit, green guava and apple blossom plus wafts of shaved almonds and wet pebbles. Full-bodied, the palate delivers a powerful core of tropical fruit and savory layers with a lively line of freshness and a pleasantly oily texture, finishing long and zesty. Very pure, very delineated and wonderfully chalky at the very end. (LPB) 97-99+" (11/2019)
Starting Bid: $640.00

Bid on this bottle of 1989 Palmer, Margaux (97VN, 95RP, 92JG, 92WS). Vinous: "The 1989 Palmer has vied with the 1983 as the highlight of the decade, so it is fascinating to revisit it at 30 years old. It has a wonderful bouquet of degraded red berry fruit, singed leather and hints of game and mint, beautifully defined and still so fresh, yet undeniably old-school in style. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin and still brimming with vigor, delivering a fine bead of acidity and a touch of cracked black pepper. A very detailed, engaging finish urges you back for another sip. A brilliant Palmer, and judging from this showing, it has another two decades of pleasure to give. Tasted from an ex-cellar bottle at the château. (NM)" (09/2019)
Starting Bid: $360.00

Bid on this bottle of 2014 MacDonald Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (97JD, (93-96VN), 94DC). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon from MacDonald comes from the To Kalon Vineyard just outside of Oakville. It’s a classic 2014 possessing the purity, elegance, and sheer charm that’s the hallmark of this terrific vintage in the Valley. Crème de cassis, black raspberries, crushed flowers, and incense notes all develop with time in the glass, and while it starts out reticent and lightly textured, it gains incredible depth and length over the evening. This is Napa Valley at its most finesse-driven and elegant, and it’s going to drink beautifully for another two decades." (02/2018)
Starting Bid: $325.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2018 Occidental (Kistler) Freestone-Occidental Pinot Noir (95RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Pinot Noir Freestone-Occidental comes mostly from younger vines at the Occidental property but is made with the same attention to detail as the other wines in the portfolio, using free-run juice. Its nose is an aromatic well, offering crushed blueberries, charcuterie, Earl Grey tea leaves, graphite, saline, bitter orange peel and potpourri aromas. In the mouth, it explodes with lush fruits that give way after their initial rush to bitter, citrusy, minerally accents. It has a fine grain, seamless freshness and long, layered finish. It's enjoyable now but will age well over the next five to eight-plus years. (EB) 95+" (07/2020)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2017 Pride Mountain "Vintner Select" Sonoma County Merlot (92VN, 91RP). Vinous: "The 2017 Merlot Vintner Select races out of the glass with super-ripe red cherry, kirsch, sweet pipe tobacco and cedar. The Vintner Select Merlot is a typical 2017, ripe and overt, but also lacking a bit in structure. I would prefer to drink it on the earlier side. (AG)" (01/2021)

Bid on this 11-bottle lot of 2017 Maeli "Fior D'Arancio" Moscato Giallo Colli Euganei. Jancis Robinson: "Delicate notes of orange flower water, grapey too. Lightly fizzy and not unlike Moscato d’Asti although the flavours here are more orangey and floral. Delicately scented and balanced in its sweetness. (JH)" (01/2020)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2017 Vincent Girardin Santenay "Terre d'Enfance". Jeb Dunnuck: "Charming, attractive notes of spiced orchard fruits, tart citrus, toasted bread, white flowers, and some earthy minerality all emerge from the 2017 Santenay Terre d’Enfance, a medium to light-bodied, racy effort ideal for drinking over the coming 5-7 years or so. It should be incredibly versatile on the dinner table and is a good value." (03/2020)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Il Poggione "Vigna Paganelli" Brunello di Montalcino Riserva (97JS, 95DC, 95RP, 95WE, 95WS, 93VN). James Suckling: "Rather sweet due to the super ripe vintage. But there's also great subtlety, enormous depth and a ton of tannin behind the opulence. The super long finish is incredibly focused. " (12/2018)

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Nickel & Nickel "Martin Stelling Vineyard" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 95WE, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Martin Stelling Vineyard is an Oakville site, which has often been one of the cornerstone components of Far Niente’s Cabernet Sauvignon. Inky purple in color to the rim, this has almost primordial richness, dense black fruits, gravelly notes in the background, and terrific intensity in a full-bodied mouthfeel with plenty of cassis and blackberry. Quite full-bodied with big tannins, this is an impressive and potentially very long-lived wine to drink between five and 25 years from now.(RP)" (10/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1999 Palmer, Margaux (94RP, 93VN, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Though I have tasted many vintages of Palmer in recent months, it has been some time since I tasted the 1999 Palmer. Now at 17 years of age, it has a really quite splendid bouquet that is so fresh and vital, pure brambly red fruit, sloes and iodine. It has certainly lost some of the headiness that it showed over its first 10 years, but it is still a Palmer that likes to party. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin. There is good depth here, clean and fresh with wonderful poise. This is a "correct" Palmer, self-aware that it was not born in a propitious vintage, therefore it might seem a little restrained, even conservative in character. That would ignore its precision and grace, the manner in which it gently builds to the finish. You can drink this now but I would be inclined to give it another 3-4 years. There are few better Left Bank 1999s than Palmer. Tasted September 2016. (N

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Reynvaan "The Contender" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (95WS, 93RP, 92VN, 91WE). Wine Spectator: "Rich and expressive, with a velvety veil of tannins draping over the ripe currant, plum, orange peel and black olive flavors, mingling harmoniously and persistently on the seductive finish. (HS)" (08/2016)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Alban "Reva" Edna Valley Syrah (96JD, (95-96JS), 96RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Reva (Syrah) is stunningly beautiful. This is a relatively delicate, feminine Reva that impresses for its length, balance and utter purity of fruit. Dark red cherries, flowers, mint and silky, saline notes wrap around the expressive fruit on the long, polished finish. A hint of truffles adds to the wine’s sensual, totally beguiling personality. In 2008, the Reva is drop-dead gorgeous. Readers should note that, in this vintage, there is no Lorraine or Seymour’s, so the 2008 is a 'super-Reva!' (AG) 96+" (08/2012)
