Bid on this 3-half-bottle lot of 2007 Inniskillin "Silver" Riesling Icewine (375ml). Austrian-born and monastically educated, Karl J. Kaiser, and native Canadian Donald J.P. Ziraldo, a decendant of a family of winegrowers in Northern Italy, founded Innisklillin Wines on July 31, 1975, obtaining the first winery license granted in the province of Ontario since 1929. Located in Niagara-on-the-Lake at the historic Brae Burn Estate, Inniskillin was founded upon and is dedicated to the principle of producing outstanding wines from vinifera wine grapes grown in the Niagara Peninsula. Karl and Donald tirelessly tested the new ground of Niagara, grafting old-world wisdom in the new-world terroir. Inniskillin rocketed to international notoriety when its pioneering 1989 Vidal Icewine was awarded the Grand Prix d'Honneur at Vinexpo 1991, and drew worldwide attention to Canada's burgeoning wine industry.
Starting Bid: $90.00

Bid on this 6-half-bottle lot of 2001 Serriger Schloss Saarsteiner Auslese Gold Cap 375ml (95WS). Wine Spectator: "Concentrated, exotic and smoky, with pear, apricot and lanolin aromas and flavors matched to a bracing structure. It maintains delicacy and kicks into overdrive on the long, pear-infused finish. Best from 2005 through 2015. 30 cases made. (BS)" (03/2003)

Bid on this bottle of 2003 Dr. Bürklin-Wolf Forster Kirchenstück Riesling Trocken Grosses Gewächs Pfalz.
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this 500 ml-bottle of 1998 Domaine Schoffit "Clos St Theobald" Rangen de Thann Riesling SGN (500ml) (97RP, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1998 Tokay-Pinot Gris Rangen de Thann Clos St. Theobald Selection de Grains Nobles Lot #1 was harvested on October 10, with yields of only 12 h/h. Aromatically, it exhibits sweet yellow fruits and spices. It is a wine of extraordinary focus, delineation, and concentration. It appears to be well balanced, and to possess lots of grip, but lacks density and expression of fruit. That being said, readers would be hard-pressed to find wines with this offering's level of concentration. It would be fascinating, ten to fifteen years from now, to see how this wine has progressed. Qualitatively, one would expect it to be scratching at the door of perfection. Projected maturity: 2005-2020+. (PR)" (06/2000)
