Alvear "1927" Pedro Ximenez Solera Montilla-Moriles (375ml)
Back In Stock!
98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The NV Pedro Ximenez Solera 1927 is non-vintage, but does have some 1927 material in it. This is totally dark brown/amber with notes of figs, toffee, caramel syrup, molasses and coffee. It is dense, super sweet, intense, rich and an amazingly, unctuously textured, thick beverage to consume slowly and introspectively after a meal. Drink now through 2050, or even longer. (RP)" (11/2015) 96 points Wine Enthusiast: "One of the world's best PX wines is Solera 1927, the pride of Alvear. Whatever solera stocks went in...

Broadbent White Port
Back In Stock!
The grapes (Malvasia Fina, Códega, Rabigato, Gouveio) are hand harvested and softly crushed after partial destemming. The wine was fermented in stainless steel on the grape skins, allowing for their important flavor compounds to be extracted. This is done under temperature control so that the winemaker can keep an eye on the alcoholic fermentation to ensure that the addition of aguardiente (grape spirit) is added at just the right time. This addition of aguardiente halts the fermentation and is the key to creating Port wines sweetness.

2003 Climens, Barsac (375ml)
Back In Stock!
96 points Wine Spectator: "Loads of honey, maple syrup, dried apricot and spice. Full-bodied, medium-sweet, with a refined, spicy character. Pretty wine. Masses of botrytis. This is refined and long, a racy wine compared with the power and muscle of so many others. Beauty among the beasts. (JS)" (03/2006) 93 points James Suckling: "Aromas of dried mushroom. Full body, bright acidity and a volatile undertone. Some spice. Not showing right at first but then opens into a pretty fresh and spicy Sauternes. " (10/2016) 92 points Stephen Tanzer's Internati...

2005 Rieussec, Sauternes (375ml)
Back In Stock!
97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Rieussec is a blend of 90% Sémillon, 8% Sauvignon Blanc and 2% Muscadelle picked between 23 September and 27 October. It has a fabulous bouquet that is mineral-rich and tensile. The palate repeats its performance from last year: focused, tense, laden with botrytis-rich fruit with a crystalline and sorbet-fresh finish that seals the deal. One of the best releases from the estate in recent years. (NM)" (01/2017) 96 points Wine Spectator: "Shows enticing aromas of toffee, cream, dried apricot and caramel....

" (10/2016) 95 points Wine Spectator: "Big, rich and juicy. Voluptuous, with aromas of caramel, apple and light tropical fruit. Full-bodied, round and very sweet, with loads of ripe fruit and a long butterscotch and piecrust aftertaste. Viscous texture. Hard not to drink it now. A wonderful sticky. (JS)" (12/2006)

2001 Raymond-Lafon, Sauternes (375ml)
Back In Stock!
94 points Wine Spectator: "Rich and dense, and still quite primal, delivering layered flavors of creamed pear, fig, green plum, roasted almond, honey and buttered brioche. Dense, with gorgeous mouthfeel and a long, honeyed finish. Has the power to last for some time. Best from 2014 through 2030. (JM, Web Only-2011)" 93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A tightly-knit but unctuous effort, Raymond-Lafon’s 2001 exhibits aromas of espresso roast intermixed with honeyed peaches, apricots, lychee nuts, and a hint of coconut. A full-throttle heavyweight, ...

With great viscosity as well as richness, and good underlying acidity prov...

95 Points from the Wine Advocate… 'The spicy 1999 #5 Scheurebe Zwischen Den Seen Trockenbeerenauslese offers aromatics reminiscent of juniper berries, cloves, and over-ripe peaches. 2001 La Tour Blanche, Sauternes (375ml)
Back In Stock!
96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The La Tour Blanche 2001 has long been the “insiders’ Sauternes” for the vintage. Leave the Yquem ’01 for the millionaires: load up on one of the finest recent vintages from the estate. It has a potent honeyed, frangipane and white flower-scented bouquet with subtle nougat scents in the background lending it an exotic edge. The palate is extremely well balanced with fine acidity effortlessly slicing a swathe through that unctuous, honeyed fruit. There are also understated marmalade notes with a suggestion of crèm...

2005 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K Noble Man" Chardonnay (375ml)
Back In Stock!
98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made from 100% Chardonnay from the Alban Vineyard, the 2005 Mr. K. The Nobleman possesses 235 grams of residual sugar per liter as well as exceptional acid levels. This incredibly rich, sweet white is almost like the Quintessence bottlings from Alsace’s Domaine Weinbach. Its mind-boggling purity, balance, intensity, and sweetness are balanced by the wine’s zesty acidity. An amazing achievement fashioned from 100% botrytised fruit, it will keep for 20 or more years. (RP)" (06/2008) 93 points Stephen Tanzer's Int...

2001 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K The Noble Man" Chardonnay (375ml)
Back In Stock!
97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "While richer, sweeter, and more unctuous than the Iceman, 2001 Mr. K The Nobleman (Chardonnay), a Trockenbeerenauslese look-alike, possesses nervy, vibrant acidity that is hard to imagine in a wine of this mass and richness. The residual sugar is 255 grams per liter, with an amazing 11.1 grams per liter of acidity, and 11.7% finished alcohol. (RP)" (08/2004)

The Nobleman Chardonnay (200 grams of residual sugar per liter) reveals phenomenal fresh, lively acidity as well as wonderful honeyed peach, marmalade, tropical fruit, and creme brulee characteristics. It is a Trockenbeerenauslese-styled wine that is a fitting tribute to the effusive and much revered Alois Kracher. 2011 Doisy-Daëne, Sauternes (375ml)
Back In Stock!
95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted blind at the Sauternes 2011 horizontal tasting. The Château Doisy-Daëne 2011 builds upon its outstanding performance from barrel. It has a powerful bouquet with seductive scents of wild honey, yellow flowers and orange blossom that are well defined, perhaps a little more extravagant then Denis Dubourdieu's wines of yore. The palate is mellifluous on the entry with well-judged acidity, sensual and harmonious, poised on the entry and then fanning out gloriously with Clementine and honeyed notes that shimmer....

91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 Coutet is pale to medium gold colored and leaps from the glass with vivacious notes of baked peaches, key lime pie and candied orange peel with hints of lime leaves, praline and lemon curd. The rich, expressive palate is laden with spicy layers, framed by lively acid and finishing on a crème caramel note. (LPB)" (08/2018)

93 points Wine Spectator: "Very honeyed, creamy, and rich, with glazed apricot, pineapple, pear and peach flavors that are long and viscous. Offers clove and kumquat on the lively finish. (KM)" (08/2011) K&L Notes: Peter Moser wrote the following of the 2007 vintage in Austria: "Perhaps the most distinctive attribute of this vintage is the way its wines clearly convey their terroir character. Few vintages are able to express varietal and regional character with such precision. Even in the young wines the fine nuances of the various sites are distinguis...
