Bid on this bottle of 1997 Colgin "Herb Lamb Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100VN, 99RP, 94ST). Vinous: "The 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon Herb Lamb is utterly magnificent. Powerful yet light on its feet, the 1997 exudes class. Intensely floral, lifted aromatics meld into a core of dark fruit. Shades of graphite, smoke, black cherry and licorice add nuance throughout. At nearly twenty years of age, the 1997 has aged impeccably and should continue to drink well for at least another decade. This is an eye-opening Cabernet Sauvignon from Ann Colgin. (AG)" (04/2016)
Starting Bid: $350.00

Bid on this bottle of 2014 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 100RP, 96VN, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The utterly perfect 2014 Scarecrow Cabernet Sauvignon (1, 500 cases) has everything one could possibly want in a Cabernet. Inky purple-colored to the rim, with a glorious nose of white flowers, crème de cassis, hints of blackberry and boysenberry, some licorice and forest floor are followed by an enormously concentrated wine with fabulous purity, a skyscraper-like mid-palate and texture, a length of nearly a minute, and stunning flavors, with flawless integration of acidity, tannin, wood and alcohol. This is a great, great wine and certainly one of the Cabernet Sauvignons of this vintage. (RP)" (12/2016)
Starting Bid: $570.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95VN, 92RP). Vinous: "Bright, dark red with ruby tones. Captivating floral lift to the very primary aromas of black cherry, cassis, minerals and earth, plus subtle notes of coffee and mocha. Tactile and sharply delineated, delivering a wonderful balance of sweet fruit and salty mineral and soil elements. Still linear but not at all angular, this penetrating wine finishes firmly tannic, classically dry, subtle and very long, with echoing mineral complexity. Really complete Cabernet here--and stuffed with flavor (ST)" (06/2020)
Starting Bid: $230.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1996 Beaulieu Vineyard "Georges de Latour Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. In 1900, when Georges de Latour decided to buy a small, four-acre property in the town of Rutherford as a surprise for his wife he, perhaps unwittingly, purchased a piece of Napa Valley history. The land would become the foundation for Beaulieu Vineyard, which survived Prohibition by having one of a handful of contracts to supply churches with sacramental wine. After Prohibition the winery continued to thrive, experimenting with varietals, blends and aging. Under the direction of André Tchelistcheff, the winery fast became one of California's preeminent producers.
Starting Bid: $215.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon CCS (14.6% alcohol and 175 cases) is absolutely out of this world. I have given more perfect scores to this cuvée than any of the other Schrader wines. Made from Clone 4 with slight additions of Clone 6 and 337, it is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, like all these wines from the Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard. This wine has a glorious nose of licorice, cedar wood, vanillin, creme de cassis, blackberry and graphite. Super-rich and velvety, with sweet, supple tannins, an opulent full-bodied mouthfeel, and a skyscraper-like finish, this prodigious wine is drinking beautifully, and just now coming into its adolescence. It should go on for another 20-25 years. (RP)" (06/2015)
Starting Bid: $640.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2004 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 99RP, 94VN, 94WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A staggeringly great wine from this iconic property in Rutherford, Scarecrow’s 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) boasts a dense ruby/purple color, a deep, rich, full-bodied style with perfect balance/equilibrium, stunning purity, lots of creme de cassis, minerality and floral notes, a persistent finish, and a staggering personality that is a sign of singularity as well as greatness. The finesse of the tannins is fabulous. (RP)" (04/2014)
Starting Bid: $1,875.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 98RP, 94ST, 94WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasting the three most recent vintages of the Scarecrow Cabernet Sauvignon was not only a privilege, but also an intellectual and hedonistic turn-on. The 2010 Scarecrow Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) is a magnificent wine. Full-bodied and opulent with terrific purity, an intriguing, gravelly, wet stone-like minerality, and a sensational perfume, it has a spectacular finish that lasted over 45 seconds, offering up copious quantities of black currants, black cherries, cedar and vanillin. It is one of the superstars of the vintage. It is accessible now because of the sweetness of the tannins, but make no mistake, there is plenty of structure underlying the luxurious fruit levels. (RP)" (10/2013)
Starting Bid: $970.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 96VN, (91-93RP), 92ST, 91WS) in original wood. Vinous: "Dark plum, mocha, spice, licorice and asphalt meld together in the 2011 Scarecrow. One of the most powerful, resonant wines of the year, the 2011 is endowed with serious structure. Readers need to be patient. Today the tannins are super powerful, but at the same time there is tremendous complexity in the glass. The 2011 is arguably the most refined Scarecrow ever made. There is plenty of depth, but also incredible elegance and precision throughout. (AG) 96+" (11/2013)
Starting Bid: $1,200.00

Bid on this 8-bottle lot of 2018 Caymus Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. There's no wine like Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon, and the 2018 vintage shows in spades what this brand is all about. Luxurious opulence on an unrivaled scale defines this wine year in and year out. Dark, super-ripe fruit lays over sleek, rich texture with additional complexity coming in form of cola, chinese five spice, mocha, and molasses. Legions of hard-core Caymus fans will not be disappointed by this latest rendition!
Starting Bid: $490.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Colgin "Cariad" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (96RP, 96WS, 95ST, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Cariad, a blend of 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot and 8% Cabernet Franc, was made from fruit purchased from David Abreu’s vineyards, most of it coming from his St. Helena property, the Madrona Ranch. Always one of the most aromatically complex wines, the 2004 comes across as a Graves-like offering with enormous notes of scorched earth, a hot rocks sort of nose and meaty black currant and black cherry fruit. Some tannins are still left, but the wine is round, generously endowed, full-bodied and opulent with terrific complexity. (RP)" (04/2014)
Starting Bid: $601.00

Bid on this bottle of 2013 Pott Wine "Le Nouveau - Western Star Vineyard" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 94VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A winner is the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Le Nouveau Western, which is classic Napa Cabernet Sauvignon from the Starr Vineyard. Plenty of dense, blackberry and cassis fruit, licorice, graphite and foresty notes are all present in this full-bodied, opulent wine with terrific purity and length. Tannins are present, but balanced beautifully by lavish amounts of fruit and extract. Drink it over the next 20 years. (RP)" (10/2015)
Starting Bid: $80.00

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99RP, 95JS, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made in a more masculine style, the 2008 Dominus has all of that along with bigger body and more structure, fat, density and texture. Both are brilliant wines and they represent the finest back-to-back vintages for Dominus since 2001 and 2002 or 1990 and 1991. (RP)" (12/2010)
Starting Bid: $185.00

Bid on this 7-bottle tasting lot in original wood; including 1-bottle of 2018 Schrader "Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ((97-99JD), 98JS, (95-97RP)), 1-bottle of 2018 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 97RP, 96JS), 2-bottles of 2018 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - RBS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99JD, (96-98RP), (96-97JS)), 1-bottle of 2018 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - T6" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97JD, 97JS, 97RP), 1-bottle of 2018 Schrader "MB - To Kalon Vineyard Monastery Block" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ((97-100RP), 97JD, (95-96JS)), and 1-bottle of 2018 Schrader "To Kalon Vineyard - Heritage Clone" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ((97-100RP)).

Bid on this bottle of 1997 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 95WS, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 10, 200 cases of the remarkable 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate. Opaque purple-colored with a dense, chewy, full-bodied personality, it displays abundant cassis, mineral, and earth notes. This brilliantly made, super-concentrated, pure, blockbuster possesses sweet tannin as well as a terrific finish. Having added additional weight since last year, this sumptuous, multilayered, profoundly concentrated Cabernet contains 14% alcohol. (RP)" (12/2000)
Starting Bid: $155.00

Bid on this bottle of 2018 Maybach "Amoenus" Calistoga Cabernet Sauvignon (98JD, 97RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "Looking at the two 2018s, the 2018 Amoenus comes from the Blossom Creek Vineyard outside of Calistoga and was brought up in new French oak. Both 2018s are concentrated, powerful wines. The Amoenus possesses a beautiful sense of freshness and purity, yet backs that up with a huge, opulent profile that carries incredible black and blue fruits. Showing more chocolate, tobacco, graphite, and foresty, earthy notes with air, this full-bodied beauty has ample ripe, polished tannins, no hard edges, and a great finish. It certainly shows the more brooding, backward, powerful style of the vintage and is built for the long haul. Hide bottle for 5-7 years, count yourself lucky, and enjoy over the following 40 years or so. 98+" (01/2021)
Starting Bid: $155.00

Bid on this bottle of 1995 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A wine of great intensity and richness, it displays classic notes of licorice, barbecue smoke, creme de cassis, cedarwood and forest floor. Full-bodied with sensational purity, a multidimensional mouthfeel and a long, voluptuous finish with no hard edges, it has only reached mid-adolescence, and has at least two decades of life ahead of it. (RP)" (11/2013)
Starting Bid: $225.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Grace Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright, saturated ruby-red. Deep aromas of black fruits, violet, tobacco, licorice, minerals, nuts and earth. Lush, rich and sweet, with an intriguing smoky character and lovely lightness for a wine with so much breadth and volume. Unusually powerful and deep for this bottling; complex and distinctive. In a rather Old World style, with complex soil tones currently dominating primary fruitiness. Finishes broad and dry, with very lush, fine tannins. A superb vintage for this estate. Winemaker Brookman noted that this was a large crop but the team made three separate passes through the vines to reduce the crop level and then harvested later than ever here. The Grace wine was once aged in all new barrels but as of 2005 that percentage has been cut to 80% to 85%. (ST)" (06/2008)
Starting Bid: $335.00

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 98JD, 98VN, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon leaps from the glass with gorgeous floral notes of red roses and lilacs over a core of black and red cherries, crushed black currants and baking spices plus hints of iron ore and dusty earth. The voluptuous, rounded, soft and sexy fruit slinks across the palate with incredible seamlessness and expression. Make no mistake, it is full-bodied and decadently powerful, but with a myriad of aromatic nuances, finishing long, layered and boldly perfumed. (LPB)" (10/2017)
Starting Bid: $490.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2015 Realm "The Bard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98JD, 97RP, 95JS, 94DC). Jeb Dunnuck: "Last of the blends, the 2015 The Bard checks in as 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Like the Falstaff, it has a terrific purity and freshness as well as full-bodied richness and depth. Blackberries, currants, liquid rock, and tobacco all give way to a gorgeous, deep, layered Cabernet Sauvignon that’s still tight, backward and reserved on the palate. Give bottles three to four years, count yourself lucky, and enjoy over the following two decades. 98+" (12/2017)
Starting Bid: $460.00

Bid on this bottle of 2017 Pine Ridge "Fortis" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon ((93-95RP), 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A barrel sample of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Malbec and 3% Cabernet Franc, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Fortis is opaque garnet-purple colored and bursts from the glass with black currant cordial, black forest cake and licorice with hints of black olives, charcuterie and pencil shavings. The palate is medium to full-bodied, firm, grainy and tightly knit with bags of black fruit preserves and ripe tannins, with lovely freshness lifting the finish. (LPB) 93-95+" (10/2019)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this bottle of 2017 Carter "Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard - La Verdad" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96JD, 94VN, 93RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "In the same mold as the La Bam, but with a touch more minerality, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras La Verdad boasts a deep purple color as well as loads of ripe black cherry and plum fruits intermixed with notes of liquid violets, bouquet garni, and crushed rocks. Beautifully balanced and full-bodied, it has notable freshness as well as tannins." (01/2020)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 98RP, 96VN, 95WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The classic 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon included fruit from the 2-acre, old vine parcel that is nearly 70 years of age. It boasts an opaque purple color as well as copious notes of spring flowers, blackberries, black raspberries and wet rocks. The wine’s gravelly minerality and spectacular opulence and density make it an instant classic. … It showed incredibly well last year, and it still reveals the potential to possibly merit a 3-digit score – it’s that special. One of the classic wines of Napa Valley, Scarecrow’s Cabernet Sauvignons are made by well-known winemaking consultant Celia Welch. This historic vineyard in Rutherford, which owns some of the oldest vines in all of Napa, continues to turn out some of Napa’s most profound Cabernet Sauvignons. (RP)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $1,600.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Realm "The Absurd" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100JD, 99RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "Lastly, and made with the idea of producing the best of the best (it’s the first blend the team put together), the 2016 The Absurd checks in as 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc, 15% Merlot, the rest Petit Verdot brought up in new barrels. It’s a hedonistic dream offering incredible black and blue fruits, gravelly minerality, cold fireplace, smoke tobacco, and forest floor. Deep, layered, and straight-up massive on the palate, it’s another wine from this estate that stays weightless and elegant. Few wines can carry this incredible mix of richness and elegance, and this beauty is unquestionably one of the finest wines in the vintage." (09/2018)
Starting Bid: $840.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Fait-Main "Teeter Totter" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92JD, 92JS). James Suckling: "A real Napa Cabernet Sauvignon with blackberry and blueberry. Currant, too. Full to medium body, integrated tannins and a flavorful finish." (12/2017)
Starting Bid: $62.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Realm "The Absurd" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100JD, 100RP, 97JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and the rest Petit Verdot, is the 2014 The Absurd, basically a choice of their finest barrels, or as winemaker and owner Benoit Touquette says, 'The crème de la crème.' This is another perfect wine equaling their incredible 2013. Yet the 2014 is slightly more forward and showy, as many 2013s are just beginning to shut down. There are 250 cases of this majestic wine that has an opaque purple color, extraordinary nose of spring flowers, blueberry, blackberry, creosote, charcoal, toast and spice. The wine has unbelievable fruit on the attack, midpalate and finish, compelling purity, texture and a finish of close to a full minute. It is (as advertised by the winery) a 'showcase of the best of Napa Valley with the freedom of expression that results from no rules.' (RP)" (12/2016)
Starting Bid: $1,333.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Pott Wine "The Arsenal - Greer Vineyard" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (96VN, 95RP, 92WS). Vinous: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon The Arsenal is a real stunner. All the elements fall into place effortlessly. Mocha, sweet herbs and new leather are laced together in a dramatic wine that brings together voluptuous texture, structure and pure power. The vivid, racy finish is a thing of beauty. This is a fabulous showing from Aaron Pott. (AG)" (12/2014)
Starting Bid: $121.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Realm "The Absurd" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100JD, 100RP, 95JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Composed of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc, the singular, absolutely compelling 2015 The Absurd opens with a seriously intense black currant cordial and plum preserves core, slowly revealing cedar chest, mincemeat pie, potpourri and spice box hints plus a waft of chocolate-covered cherries. The full-bodied, concentrated palate is packed with opulent black fruits and baking spice layers, featuring a rock-solid backbone of tight-grained tannins and just enough freshness to lift and tantalize on the long, seductive finish. Only 250 cases were made. (LPB)" (10/2017)
Starting Bid: $955.00

Bid on this bottle of 1997 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 97VN, 97WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1997 Harlan Estate is one of the greatest Cabernet Sauvignon-based wines I have ever tasted. A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, with the rest Merlot and Cabernet Franc, this enormously-endowed, profoundly rich wine must be tasted to be believed. Opaque purple-colored, it boasts spectacular, soaring aromatics of vanilla, minerals, coffee, blackberries, licorice, and cassis. In the mouth, layer after layer unfold powerfully yet gently. Acidity, tannin, and alcohol are well-balanced by the wine's unreal richness and singular personality. The finish exceeds one minute. (RP)" (12/2000)
Starting Bid: $765.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Outpost "True Vineyard" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Absolutely as close to perfection as one probably can get is the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon True Vineyard. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is a selection of their very best material. This cuvée represents 375 cases aged 20 months in 90% new French oak. Opaque purple in color and more packed and concentrated than its sibling, it is full-bodied, with blackberry and blueberry fruit, perhaps a slight suggestion of charcoal and volcanic earth and burning embers. The wine has huge structure, massive extract and is as packed and stacked as a Cabernet Sauvignon can be. (RP)" (10/2015)
Starting Bid: $495.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2018 Beau Vigne "Cult" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Composed of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Cult is a blend of both of the estate vineyards: Stags Ridge and Soda Canyon, with 15% blended from Rutherford and Oakville. It was aged in 100% new oak. Deep garnet-purple colored, it prances out of the glass with showy black fruit notions of preserved plums, baked blueberries and crème de cassis plus suggestions of hoisin, cedar chest, pencil lead and tilled soil with a touch of sautéed herbs. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is filled with black fruit preserves with loads of exotic spice and herbal sparks, framed by chewy tannins and oodles of freshness, finishing earthy. (LPB) 92+" (11/2020)
Starting Bid: $170.00

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Clos du Val Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (91W&S, 91WE). Wine Enthusiast: "Made in the classic Clos du Val style, this Cabernet is less ripe, drier and more acidic than many of its Napa Valley neighbors. It’s also very tannic. Currently, it’s an aloof, austere wine, but it has a deep core of blackberries. This wants at least eight years in a proper cellar, and should age well for another decade beyond that. *Cellar Selection*" (09/2012)
Starting Bid: $40.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Harlan "The Maiden" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97JS, 96JD, 94RP, 94VN). James Suckling: "The brightness and vivid fruit character here is so very impressive. Medium to full body. Firm and silky tannins. Extremely long and linear with a gorgeous finish. I can’t wait on this. " (02/2019)
Starting Bid: $763.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Sonoma-Napa Counties Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A real tour de force once again, and their second consecutive perfect score, is the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, which is 99% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Petit Verdot aged 22 months in 40% new French oak. It is a larger cuvée of 1, 416 cases versus 450 for the Reserve Claret. The Cabernet is just under 15% alcohol. A fantastic wine, with great intensity, notes of graphite, forest floor, crème de cassis, white chocolate and blackberry, the wine hits the palate with a thunderous presence, has a multi-layered, skyscraper-like palate feel, a plush, intense texture, high but well-integrated tannin and acidity, and nicely disguised oak. This is a magnificent wine, with 79% of it coming from the Sonoma side of Spring Mountain and 21% from the Napa side. (RP)" (10/2016)
Starting Bid: $480.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2018 Blankiet "Paradise Hills Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98VN, 96RP) and 1-bottle of 2018 Blankiet "Rive Droite - Paradise Hills Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99JD, 97RP, 97VN). Of the 2018 Blankiet "Rive Droite - Paradise Hills Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend, Jeb Dunnuck writes: "The 2018 Merlot Rive Droite is another powerhouse in the lineup that has both richness and elegance in spades. Gorgeous black cherries, currants, tobacco leaf, chocolate, chalky minerality, and cedar pencil notes give way to a full-bodied, seamless red with polished tannins, remarkable purity, and a great, great finish." (01/2021)
Starting Bid: $280.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Outpost "True Vineyard" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The limited-production 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon True Vineyard (475 cases) is also 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 20 months in 90% new French oak. This is an amazing 2014 and one of the few perfect wines that I could find while tasting at the top addresses in Northern California. Blue/purple in color, with extraordinarily intense floral notes intermixed with blueberry, blackberry, crushed charcoal and camphor, the wine hits the palate with a spectacular display of glycerin, fruit, sweet tannin, adequate acidity, and wonderful equilibrium and purity. The finish was close to a minute. This wine is irresistible, although it is certainly capable of lasting three decades or more. Kudos to the Dotzlers and Thomas Rivers Brown for this magnificent achievement! (RP)" (10/2016)
Starting Bid: $600.00

Bid on this bottle of 2001 Abreu "Madrona Ranch" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 98VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "While I am not surprised that the 2001 Thorevilos turned out to be perfect, the 2001 Madrona Ranch was more of an eye-opener in that it has become even more extraordinary than I predicted eight years ago. A prodigious wine, with complex notes of subtle barbecue smoke intermixed with blueberry pie, black currant liqueur, acacia flowers, lead pencil shavings, and sweet foresty floor notes, this wine builds incrementally with layer upon layer of fruit, glycerin and concentration. The finish goes well past a minute, and the wine is full-bodied and deep, with wonderfully sweet tannin. It is still an adolescent in terms of its total evolution, but it is irresistible simply because of the flawless nature of the wine and incredible perfume and flavor intensity. Simply amazing! (RP)" (06/2011)
Starting Bid: $350.00

Bid on this bottle of 2001 Abreu "Thorevilos" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2001 Thorevilos is another example of what may well be Napa Valley’s version of Ausone, and one of the single greatest vineyard sites in California. One could say this is world-class, but it’s really all-universe. A tour de force in winemaking, with notes of blueberry liqueur intermixed with subtle white chocolate, espresso roast, cassis, blackberry and perfumed, floral notes, it is full-bodied, with great flavor purity, a skyscraper-like texture, and a remarkable finish, with a seamless integration of all component parts. This is extraordinary wine that everyone who loves wine should at least taste once or twice in their lifetime. (RP)" (06/2011)
Starting Bid: $500.00

Bid on this bottle of 2011 Bevan "EE Cuvée" Oakville Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 93WS, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 EE, which also comes from the Tench and Tin Box vineyards, is composed of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Cabernet Franc. It exhibits lots of graphite, charcoal embers, a Pessac-Leognan-like smoky barbecue character, black currant liqueur, licorice and a touch of chocolate. Huge, massive, rich fruit oozes across the palate, but there is a refinement and delicacy to it that is almost impossible to believe in view of this wine’s size. Apparently, this cuvee comes from the rich, red soils on the hillsides of Oakville below the well-known Showket Vineyard. This spectacular 2011 should drink well for 10-15 years. (RP)" (10/2013)
Starting Bid: $115.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2013 Heitz Cellar Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93JS, 91VN). James Suckling: "Lovely aromas of blackcurrants and dark chocolate with hints of flowers. Ever so subtle. Medium full body, firm and silky tannins and a juicy finish. Shows tension and focus. Drink or hold." (05/2018)
Starting Bid: $200.00

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Kata "Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97VN, 96JD, 95RP, 94JS). Vinous: "The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard is dark, unctuous and fabulously concentrated. Blueberry jam, crème de cassis, bittersweet chocolate, menthol, licorice and cloves infuse this unctuous, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon. The 85% new oak is already well integrated. This is another compelling, full-throttle wine from David Beckstoffer and Benoit Touquette. The 85% new oak is already nicely integrated. (AG)" (03/2018)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this bottle of 2001 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 98DC, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine, which first debuted in 1990, has probably garnered more perfect scores than any other Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2001 is just entering a young adolescent stage of development, exhibiting extraordinary nuances such as sweet, loamy soil and earthy minerality intermixed with some background smoke, black currant liqueur, plum, Asian spice and new saddle leather. Full-bodied, it possesses great intensity, with stunning flavors that are viscous enough to coat the mouth, but never become heavy or overbearing. The wine has a remarkable purity, concentration and intensity that should carry it for another 30+ years. This is already very promising, and for those who own it, I would suggest a good two to three hours of decanting prior to service. (RP)" (06/2011)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 97DC, 97JS, 94ST, 94VN, 93RP, 93WS) in original wood. James Suckling: "Fabulous floral aromas of currants, flowers, stones and rosemary stem. Purity. Full body with a fabulous backbone of chewy tannins with a gorgeous austerity. Elegance with power. This needs at least three or four more years." (05/2014)

Bid on this magnum of 2013 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (100JS, 100RP, 99VN, 97DC, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As I predicted last year, the 2013 Harlan Estate is one of their all-time greats, although they have had many of them, starting with the 1991, followed by 1994, 1995, 1997 (although controversial in some circles), 2001, 2002, 2005, 2007, 2010 and 2012. This great first-growth property, with aspirations to produce the finest Cabernet Sauvignon-based wine made in the New World, has given us a wine that has it all in 2013. Dense purple to the rim, with notes of espresso, white chocolate, mocha, blackberry, cassis, and cedar wood, the wine is full-bodied, opulent, but also structured, pure and incredibly long (well past a minute aftertaste). It is probably closest in personality and overall character to the compelling 2001, which is still a youthful wine at age 15. Drink it over the next 50+ years. (RP)" (10/2016)
Starting Bid: $1,550.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 100RP, 98VN, 97JS, 96WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The prodigious 2007 Harlan Estate reminds me of a hypothetical blend of the 2002 with a touch of the controversial 1997. Dense plum/purple-colored with sweet aromas of barbecue smoke, blueberries, blackberries, cassis, licorice, hot rocks and subtle oak, it is a splendidly opulent, pure wine with a skyscraper-like texture as well as stunningly deep fruit that expands gracefully across the palate. The finish lasts nearly a full minute. Because of its overwhelming richness and sweet tannins, this brilliant wine seems to be approachable now, but I suspect further nuances and complexity will emerge after 4-5 years in the bottle. (RP)" (12/2010)
Starting Bid: $1,600.00

Bid on this bottle of 1995 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99RP, 96ST, 96WS, 95DC). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1995 Harlan Estate is almost as perfect as the 1994. It has gotten even better in the bottle, and remains one of the most remarkable young Cabernet Sauvignons I have tasted. The wine, a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot, was aged in 100% new oak, which adds subtle pain grille/toasty scents. This opaque purple-colored Cabernet offers up a nose of smoke, coffee beans, black and blue fruits, minerals, and roasted herbs. It is extremely full-bodied, with spectacular purity, exquisite equilibrium, and a seamless personality with everything in total harmony. The finish lasts for more than 40 seconds. This extravagantly rich, profoundly complex 1995 will give its 1994 sibling a run for its money. (RP)" (12/1998)
Starting Bid: $726.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1991 Abreu "Madrona Ranch" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93WS). Wine Spectator: "Smooth, ripe, rich and polished, with dense currant, black cherry, anise, cedar and mineral flavors. Enormously concentrated and complex. (JL, Web-1998)"
Starting Bid: $255.00

Bid on this magnum of 2008 Blankiet "Paradise Hills Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (95RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Composed of 82.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot and the rest tiny dollops of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, the 2008 Paradise Hills Vineyard Proprietary Red has added considerable richness, weight, texture, nuance and complexity over the last year. Aromas of chocolate, espresso, blackberries, black currants and charcoal/burning embers leads to a full-bodied, expressive, rich wine that is nearly as compelling as the 2007. Dense, full-bodied and already drinkable, it should evolve for 20+ years. 95+ points. (RP)" (12/2010)
Starting Bid: $165.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Maybach "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Named after the super-luxury car of the same name, the extraordinary 2005 Materium (614 cases) has more in common with a first-growth like Chateau Margaux than a Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. It boasts a deep ruby/purple color along with a striking bouquet of blue and black fruits intermingled with acacia flowers, lead pencil shavings, and licorice, excellent fruit, medium to full body, substantial but sweet tannins, and compelling harmony among its acidity, alcohol, tannin, and extract. This sensational 2005 eclipses even the brilliant 2004. It should easily last 25 or more years. (RP)" (12/2008)
Starting Bid: $280.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Nellcôte "500 Chevaux" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. James Suckling: "Kirsch is the predominating aroma right now as well as crabapples and dragon fruit. Full body, ripe tannins and a slightly high-octane finish. " (05/2018)
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 100JS, 100VN, 98RP, 98ST, 96WS) in original wood. Vinous: "The 2010 Harlan Estate is a total head-turner. Powerful, dense and exotically ripe – as so many wines are in this vintage – the 2010 dazzles with magnificent intensity. Baritone inflections run through the black cherry, graphite, smoke, tar and licorice flavors. Heat spikes at the end of what was generally a cold growing season yielded wines that bring together structure and fruit density. (AG)" (09/2017)
