Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Paul Hobbs "Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96JS, 95RP, 94WS, 93VN). James Suckling: "This has a beautiful center palate of ripe fruit that shows raspberries and blueberries, as well as lavender. Medium to full body, fine tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Give it three or four years of bottle age." (01/2020)
Starting Bid: $375.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2005 Crocker & Starr "Stone Place" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 94WE, 93VN) and 1-bottle of 2006 Crocker & Starr "Stone Place" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92VN). Of the 2005 Crocker & Starr "Stone Place" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The stunning 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Stone Place exhibits a dense ruby/purple color, a sweet kiss of licorice, black currants, bay leaf, and spring flowers, stunning fruit, full body, a powerful style, and beautiful equilibrium and sweet tannin in the finish. (RP)" (12/2008)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1973 Mayacamas Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96JG, 96VN). Vinous: "One of the most iconic wines made at the property, the 1973 Cabernet Sauvignon boasts a level of pure intensity and structure, along with plenty of distinct St. Estèphe-inflected nuances. Hints of cedar, tobacco and scorched earth meld into a core of deep, dense, dark fruit as the 1973 shows off its utterly captivating personality. The 1973 is one of those wines that takes hold of all the sense and never lets up. In a word: profound. (AG)" (06/2014)
Starting Bid: $500.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 98WE, 97VN, 95JS, 95W&S, 94CG, 94DC, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There were 12, 300 cases produced in 2013, and this vintage of Insignia is certainly going to turn out to be one of the great ones. The wine offers a stunning inky blue/purple color, a gorgeous nose of blueberry and blackberry liqueur, pen ink, graphite, new saddle leather and barrique. The wine has fabulous concentration, a full-bodied, multi-layered mouthfeel, and tremendous finish with moderate tannin. It’s interesting to note that the Phelps winemaking staff had been gradually reducing the amount of Merlot in this wine over recent vintages. The 2013 should hit its peak in 5-7 years and last for 35-50. (RP) 98+ " (10/2016)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - T6" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97JD, 97JS, 97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Schrader’s T6 comes from Beckstoffer’s To Kalon vineyard in Oakville, produced from clone 6 grown on the D2 block. It is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in 100% new Darnajou and Taransaud French oak barrels for 18 months. Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon T6 Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard opens with classic cassis, cedar and pencil lead scents, plus nuances of red roses, charcoal and garrigue. Full-bodied, it has a firm and grainy texture with lovely freshness supporting the tons of juicy black fruits, finishing long and earthy. (LPB)" (01/2021)
Starting Bid: $645.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1970 Charles Krug "Vintage Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. An absolutely superb example of mature California Cabernet Sauvignon. Not everyone is aware that Charles Krug was one of a handful of "First Growth" wineries in the 1950s and '60s, producing some of the best red wine in California's history. Founded in 1861, the Charles Krug Winery was the first in Napa Valley, sold to Cesare and Rosa Mondavi in 1943. When Cesare died in 1959, their sons took the helm, Robert as General Manager and Peter as Vice President. In 1966, Peter took over the role as President and Robert moved on to start his own winery in Oakville.
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Chappellet "Pritchard Hill Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 95JS, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Pritchard Hill is a blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Malbec and 10% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple colored, it simply sings of freshly crushed blueberries and blackcurrants with wonderfully expressive licorice, dark chocolate, tilled earth and wood smoke nuances plus touches of crushed rocks and black truffles. Medium-bodied, it has an exquisite frame of very fine grained tannins and seamless freshness supporting the wonderfully intense blue and black fruit flavors, finishing with an epically long, mineral-laced finish. (LPB)" (05/2018)
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this bottle of 2013 Hundred Acre "Few and Far Between" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Obviously, the Eisele Vineyard next door is a first-growth quality vineyard, and so is Jayson Woodbridge’s 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Few and Far Between. This has some Cabernet Franc (5%-15%), and spends 32 months in barrel. It is an absolutely outrageously great wine from the volcanic rocks and white volcanic ash of these soils in this northeast sector of Napa to the south of Calistoga. The finish goes on for over a minute, as this wine has layers and layers of fruit. If anything, it reminded me of a Château Latour on steroids. A magnificent example, it is one of the prodigious wines of this great vintage for Bordeaux varietals in Napa. The 2013 Few and Far Between already drinks well, but will still be reveling its purchasers 35-40 years from now. The sad thing about the Few and Far Between Vineyard is that it is only a five-acre parcel. (RP)" (10/2016)
Starting Bid: $400.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99JD, 98JS, 98RP, 98VN, 95WE). Jeb Dunnuck: "Checking in as a blend of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc that hit 14.3% alcohol, the 2012 Dominus is a sensational wine that certainly ranks with the all-time greats of this cuvée and is reminiscent of the 1991. Ripe, flamboyant, and incredibly sexy, it nevertheless shows the classic style of this estate, has nothing out of place and just glides across the palate. Blackcurrants, tobacco leaf, cedar box, new leather, and an almost garrigue-like character all emerge from this full-bodied, silky, seamless effort that has fine tannin, perfectly integrated acidity, tannins, alcohol, and a great, great finish. Drink it any time over the coming 2-3 decades. It's a tour de force in Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and one of the greats. 99+" (01/2019)
Starting Bid: $380.00

Bid on this magnum of 2012 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (97DC, 97JS, 96RP, 95VN, 93WS). James Suckling: "Glorious purity of fruit here with black currants, blueberries, dark chocolate, fresh herbs and forest floor. Hints of mint too, plus hazelnut and chocolate. Full body with seamless tannins and balance. Tight and compacted tannins with beautiful fruit and great length. Goes on for minutes. One of the best Opus' in years. Hard not to drink now but better in 2018. October 2015 release. This is 79% cabernet sauvignon, 7% cabernet franc, 6% merlot, 6% petit verdot and 2% malbec." (11/2015)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Colgin "IX Estate" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 97JS, 97WS, 95VN, 94WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The good news is that there are 1, 500 cases of this cuvée. It, too, reveals the noble sweetness of tannin, the extraordinary rich, intense mouthfeel, and sumptuous aromas of flowers, burning embers, blackberries, blueberries, spice box, and cedar. With extraordinary intensity, beautiful purity, a texture and flavors that build incrementally on the palate, and a significantly long finish, this is a perfect wine. (RP)" (12/2008)
Price: $975.00

Bid on this bottle of 2006 Lail "J. Daniel Cuvée" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 95WE, 92VN, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 J. Daniel Cuvee is living up to my laudatory notes from last year. Black currant, crushed rock, licorice, asphalt, graphite, and chocolate characteristics are present in this full-bodied effort. (RP)" (12/2008)
Starting Bid: $70.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98JD, (95-96JS), 96WS, 95RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "Another wine in the running for the wine of the vintage is the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard CCS, which, as always, is all Cabernet aged in new Darnajou barrels. This full-bodied, magical 2017 has incredibly polished, silky tannins as well as a mammoth-sized texture and mouthfeel. Loaded with notions of blueberries, white flowers, graphite, candied violets, and incense, it’s one of those wines that carries incredible richness and depth yet never seems heavy or cumbersome." (01/2020)
Starting Bid: $615.00

Bid on this magnum of 2013 Terlato "Episode" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Even better is the 2013 Terlato Episode Proprietary Red, which exhibits plenty of licorice, underbrush, forest floor, blue and black fruits, and a lusty, medium to full-bodied, opulent mouthfeel. (RP) 92+" (10/2015)
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot in original wood; including 1-bottle of 2009 Bond "Melbury" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (96JD, 94RP, 94VN, 93WS), 1-bottle of 2009 Bond "Pluribus" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97RP, 96VN, 96WS), 1-bottle of 2009 Bond "Quella" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (96RP, 95VN, 94WS), and 1-bottle of 2009 Bond "Vecina" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 93VN, 93WS). Of the 2009 Bond "Vecina" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Bond’s 2009 Proprietary Blend Vecina, from Vine Hill Ranch, is fascinating to taste after the St. Eden. While the St. Eden is round and sensual, the Vecina is all about linear power and structure. Endowed with tremendous length and persistence, the Vecina presents endless layers of dark fruit and expressive aromatics supported by considerable tension and energy. (AG) 98+" (12/2012)

Bid on this bottle of 1973 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95JG, 90RP). John Gilman: "The 1973 Martha’s Vineyard is fully mature and is drinking beautifully at nearly forty years of age. The deep and utterly classic nose offers up scents of red and black cherries, petroleum jelly, fresh mint, chipotle peppers, spice tones, a beautiful base of soil and a nice touch of nutskins in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, fullbodied and absolutely à point, with a silky palate impression, lovely intensity of flavor, lovely complexity and stunning length and grip on the perfectly focused and dancing finish. The ’73 Martha’s Vineyard will not last anywhere near as long as wines such as the 1974 or 1975, but it still has plenty of life in it and will continue to dazzle for decades to come. Just a beautiful bottle of wine." (06/2011)
Starting Bid: $303.00

Bid on this magnum of 2001 Shafer "25th Anniversary - Sunspot Vineyard" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (93WS). Wine Spectator: "A rich and seductive style, with smooth, buttery, toasty oak paving the way for a ripe, plush, generous serving of chocolate-covered currant and cherry fruit. Elegant and stylish, it glides along on the finish before the ripe, fleshy tannins become evident. (JL) " (06/2004)
Starting Bid: $600.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1996 Heitz Cellar Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Wine Spectator: "Maturing, with complex, well-balanced currant, herb, cedar and spicy Cabernet nuances, turning supple in texture and supported by enough tannin and fruit to cellar further, though it's at its peak now. (JL, Web-2004)"
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2009 Larkmead Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 90VN) and 1-bottle of 2012 Larkmead Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94JS, 93RP, 93VN). Of the 2009 Larkmead Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Blended of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Petit Verdot and 8% Cabernet Franc, the deep garnet colored 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon leaps from the glass with classic notes of warm cassis, plum preserves, cedar chest and pencil lead with underlying accents of kirsch, chocolate mint, unsmoked cigars and yeast extract. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers a lot of freshness and energy, with layers of black fruit and earthy hints supported well by firm, ripe, grainy tannins and tons of freshness, finishing long and savory. (LPB)" (01/2020)
Starting Bid: $205.00

Bid on this magnum of 2007 Dalla Valle "Maya" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (97RP, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Medium garnet in color with a hint of purple, the 2007 Maya Proprietary Red Wine possesses the most alluring nose of blueberry compote, Black Forest cake, crème de cassis, licorice and espresso with suggestions of truffles, beef drippings, dried sage and forest floor. Powerful, rich and substantial on the palate, it explodes with profound black fruits and earthy layers with a rock-solid frame of ripe, grainy tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long. (LPB)" (08/2018)
Starting Bid: $600.00

Bid on this bottle of 2010 Joseph Phelps "Backus" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (96VN, 93ST, 90RP). Vinous: "Espresso, mocha, cloves, violets and plums all meld together in the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Backus Vineyard. Rich, sumptuous and layered, the 2010 boasts tons of depth and pure structure. Much more expressive than the 2010 Insignia is today, the Backus is relatively open at this stage. At the same time, though, the underlying structure suggests the 2010 will drink well for many years. (AG)" (11/2013)
Starting Bid: $130.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1999 Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ((87-90ST)). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep fresh ruby-red. Brooding aromas of currant syrup, licorice, naphtha and tobacco leaf. Fairly intense flavors similar to the aromas. Still quite youthfully tight, but offers solid concentration and very good length. Just a hint of greenness on the end; the firm tannins reach the teeth. (ST)" (06/2002)
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Bond "St. Eden" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99RP, 98VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Not surprisingly, the 2007 St. Eden flirts with perfection. Another Pauillac look-alike, it offers up glorious aromas of cedarwood, creme de cassis, spice box, high class unsmoked cigar tobacco, roasted herbs and a hint of mocha. The complex aromas brilliantly conceal the long aging in new French oak. This compelling, singular, full-bodied, multilayered, sensational Cabernet Sauvignon can be drunk early (because of the flamboyance and unctuosity of the vintage), but promises to provide thrilling consumption in 30+ years. (RP)" (12/2010)
Starting Bid: $650.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Colgin "Tychson Hill Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 97VN, 96ST, 96WS, 95JS, 95RP) in original wood. Vinous: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Tychson Hill is a gorgeous wine laced with dark red fruit, flowers and spices. It reveals the silkiest of tannins and remarkable grace throughout. All of the aromas and flavors wrap around beautifully to a deep, sensual finish layered with sweet floral notes. This is a sensual, totally dazzling Cabernet. In 2009 the blend is 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. (AG)" (12/2011)
Starting Bid: $720.00

Bid on this magnum of 1997 Flora Springs "20th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5 L) (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As reported last year, perhaps the finest Cabernet Sauvignon I have tasted from Flora Springs is their 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon 20th Anniversary Reserve. Bottled only in magnums (250 cases), it is a prodigious Napa Cabernet. Aged in 60% new French oak for 24 months before being bottled without filtration, it reveals an opaque plum/purple color in addition to an explosive, multi-dimensional nose of coffee, kirsch liqueur, creme de cassis, dried herbs, tobacco, and spice. Full-bodied, with fabulous purity, a seamless texture, and a 40-second finish, it represents Cabernet Sauvignon at its most profound. Remarkably, it is soft enough to be drunk now, but promises to age well for 25 or more years. (RP)" (12/2000)
Starting Bid: $170.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - RBS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 97VN, 96DC, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Flirting with perfection, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard RBS from clone 337 was aged in new Darnajou barrels (80%) and the rest in new Taransaud barrels. There were 410 cases produced, which is several hundred cases less than the production in 2012. An unbelievable red wine, it boasts an inky/purple color as well as abundant notes of charcoal, white chocolate, toast, new saddle leather, blueberries, blackberries, creme de cassis and licorice. As the wine sits in the glass, some chocolaty, smoky elements also emerge. This virtually perfect Cabernet Sauvignon has been flawlessly made and should age effortlessly for 25-30+ years. (RP)" (10/2013)
Starting Bid: $490.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Ovid Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - (96-98RP), 95ST, 92WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Sweet dark cherries and plums are some of the notes that explode from the 2010 Ovid. An utterly vivid, breathtaking wine, the 2010 impresses for its incredible balance and overall sense of harmony. Flowers of all sorts, sage and rosemary develop in the glass, adding tons of complexity. Today the 2010 is a little reticent next to the decidedly more exuberant 2009, which is quite typical of wines from Pritchard Hill at this stage in the evolution of these vintages. Power, pure vibrancy and intensity are the hallmarks of the 2010. This is another stunning wine from the team at Ovid. I can’t wait to see how the 2010 develops in bottle. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2030. (AG)" (12/2012)
Starting Bid: $480.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2018 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 100RP, 98VN, 97JD) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Screaming Eagle soars out of the glass with vibrant notions of ripe blackberries, black cherries and fresh red and black currants plus wafts of licorice, candied violets, cedar chest and clove oil with a beguiling touch of sea spray. Medium-bodied with jaw-dropping elegance, the palate is finely textured and yet built like a brick house with a super taut backbone and exquisitely knit acidity. The intense black and red fruit flavors are accented by layers of mineral and floral notions, finishing with incredible length and depth. Undeniably stunning. (LPB)" (11/2020)
Starting Bid: $4,020.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Lewelling St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon (94JD). Jeb Dunnuck: "Starting with the larger production (but we're only talking 700 cases), the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon comes all from the estate and is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that spent 20 months in 70% new French oak and was bottled unfined and unfiltered. This sensational effort's purity and balance is something to behold, offering a smorgasbord of creme de cassis, blueberries, tobacco leaf, lavender, damp forest floor, and spring flower-like nuances that develop beautifully with time in the glass. Full-bodied, multi-dimensional, concentrated yet weightless, it's a stunning Napa Cabernet Sauvignon that does everything right." (01/2019)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2018 Caymus Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1L). There's no wine like Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon, and the 2018 vintage shows in spades what this brand is all about. Luxurious opulence on an unrivaled scale defines this wine year in and year out. Dark, super-ripe fruit lays over a sleek, rich texture with additional complexity coming in the form of cola, Chinese five spice, mocha, and molasses. Legions of hard-core Caymus fans will not be disappointed by this latest rendition!
Starting Bid: $608.00

Bid on this bottle of 2017 Outpost "Immigrant - True Vineyard" Howell Mountain Bordeaux Blend (94JD, 94VN). Vinous: "The 2017 Immigrant True Vineyard, Outpost's co-ferment of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, is once again one of the most distinctive wines in the range. Dark red fruit, iron, white pepper, grilled herbs, licorice, menthol and a whole range of savory overtones infuse the Immigrant with tons of complexity. Dense and explosive in the glass, the Immigrant is one of the more compelling wines of the vintage. (AG)" (01/2020)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2016 Arrowood "Sonoma Estates" California Cabernet Sauvignon. Erin Brooks writes of her experience tasting the 2016s from Arrowood: "It’s been a long while since I’ve had the chance to taste through the Arrowood lineup, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the wines—I just don’t remember them being quite this good! This may be partly explained by the vintage and partly by the arrival in 2014 of winemaker Kristina Shideler. “We were making every variety under the sun, ” she recalls of her arrival. “Cabernet Sauvignon was always there, but I came on board at an interesting time when we were transitioning from all those varieties to just Cabernet Sauvignon.”Shideler emphasizes a “vineyard specific approach” to winemaking, noting that, “I cater all decisions to what I best believe expresses the site. The approach when I arrived seemed to be a bit formulaic, with a big emphasis on emulating Richard Arrowood. "
Starting Bid: $90.00

Bid on this magnum of 2015 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (OWC - 99RP, 98JD, 98VN, 96WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon leaps from the glass with gorgeous floral notes of red roses and lilacs over a core of black and red cherries, crushed black currants and baking spices plus hints of iron ore and dusty earth. The voluptuous, rounded, soft and sexy fruit slinks across the palate with incredible seamlessness and expression. Make no mistake, it is full-bodied and decadently powerful, but with a myriad of aromatic nuances, finishing long, layered and boldly perfumed. (LPB)" (10/2017)
Starting Bid: $1,050.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A big wine from the Barrett family (14.2% alcohol), this 2003 exhibits earthy black currant fruit, the restrained but intense Montelena style, full body, good richness and impeccable balance, purity and density. The color is a healthy dark ruby/purple and the wine shows lots of cassis. In spite of the restrained aromatics, the palate is rich, full-bodied, substantial and persuasive. This 2003 is approachable now, but it will be even more gorgeous 15, 20 and 25 years from now. This is a heritage wine from this great estate in northern Napa Valley. (RP) 94+" (06/2013)
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this 6-half-bottle lot of 2004 Château Montelena Estate Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (375ml) (95RP, 95VN, 93ST). Vinous: Dark ruby-red. Knockout nose combines black fruits, spices, volcanic minerality and earth, plus a sexy note of coffee torrefaction, all lifted by a violet topnote; reminded me of a ripe-year Pauillac. Wonderfully silky and concentrated on entry, then tactile and solid yet juicy as well in the middle palate, conveying terrific sweetness of sun-baked dark fruits complicated by licorice and exotic spices. This compellingly rich, deep wine displays the sappiness of a fruit reduction. The wine's saline minerality contributes to its impression of energy and a note of juicy cranberry enhances its current appeal. But this beauty is just embarking on what should be a multi-decade plane of peak drinkability. (ST) (05/2019)
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this bottle of 1994 Lewis Cellars "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Wine Spectator: "Dark and intense, it serves up a nice tight beam of ripe currant, blackberry and black cherry fruit, with shades of anise, herb and cedary oak. It flexes its tannic muscles on the finish, giving it a drying sensation. (JL)" (11/2004)
Starting Bid: $90.00

Bid on this magnum of 2008 Dana "Lotus Vineyard" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (94RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The flagship offering is the Lotus Vineyard cuvee. The 2007 was pure perfection and the 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Lotus Vineyard is another impressive effort (about 200 cases produced). Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Clones 337, 4 and 15, this is a relatively high elevation (1, 200 feet) site and because of that, the wine shows lots of minerality and freshness. Expansive black currant and blackberry notes intermixed with graphite and flower aromas are followed by a full-bodied wine with lots of structure, density and purity. This 2008 requires 4-5 years of cellaring and can be enjoyed over the following two decades. (RP) 94+" (12/2010)
Starting Bid: $440.00

Bid on this bottle of 2014 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97JS, 97RP, 97VN, 96CG, 96JD, 96WE, 95DC). Vinous: "The 2014 Insignia has turned out beautifully. Finely sculpted, nuanced and classic in structure, the 2014 is built on a core of energy and brightness. There is a level of purity and delineation in the flavors that is remarkable. Bright red cherry, lavender, rose petal and graphite add to the wine's sculpted personality. The 2014 is not an obvious or especially opulent Insignia, but rather a wine that makes its case with its impeccable balance. A closing flourish of bright, floral notes adds the final shades of nuance. (AG)" (03/2018)

Bid on this bottle of 2006 Larkmead "LMV Salon" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (95RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Equally prodigious are the 800 cases of 2006 LMV Salon Proprietary Red, a blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Cabernet Franc, and the rest the other three Bordeaux varietals (Merlot, Malbec, and Petit Verdot). Spicy, chocolatey espresso roast notes intermixed with spring flowers and a hint of bay leaf are followed by a full-bodied wine with oodles of black currant and cherry fruit. The sweetness of the tannins, the breadth and savory mouthfeel, as well as the layered texture, make for an exceptional glass of sumptuous wine. (RP) 95+" (12/2008)
Starting Bid: $90.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Colgin "Cariad" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98JS, 98VN, 94RP, 94ST, 92WS). Vinous: "The 2009 Cariad Red Wine is a blend of fruit sourced from Thorevilos and Madrona Ranch in St. Helena. It is deep, sensual and beautifully balanced in its dark black fruit, menthol, spices and licorice. This is a much firmer and more structured wine than the Tychson Hill. It doesn't have that wine's sheer early appeal, but it does have the structure to age gracefully for years. Smoke, savory herbs and licorice are some of the notes that frame the explosive finish. (AG)" (12/2011)
Starting Bid: $736.00

Bid on this bottle of 2014 Abreu "Thorevilos" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98JD, 97RP, 97WS, 96VN, 95JS). Jeb Dunnuck: "One of the gems in the lineup is the 2014 Thorevilos and this awesome wine comes from a site on the eastern side of the valley, just behind the luxury Meadowood Estate, and is comprised of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc, 14% Petit Verdot, and 4% Malbec. Notes of crème de cassis and blue fruits intermixed with spicy oak, spring flowers, and graphite all emerge from the glass and this crazy good 2014 offers a full-bodied, powerful, yet graceful, elegant style on the palate. It's a gorgeous 2014 that shows the more sexy, approachable style of the vintage ... David Abreu and superstar winemaker Brad Grimes continue to fashion some of the most powerful, concentrated, yet seamless Bordeaux blends in the valley. " (12/2017)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 97RP, 96JS). Jeb Dunnuck: "Just pure gold, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard CCS is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from one of California's greatest terroirs, that was brought up in 100% new French oak. This dense purple-colored effort has a magical bouquet of pure crème de cassis, smoke tobacco, white flowers, crushed stone, truffle, and hints of chocolate. Possessing full-bodied richness, this beauty builds incrementally on the palate, showing lots of ripe, polished tannins, no hard edges, and a rare mix of power, structure, and elegance that's something to behold. Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, or red wine for that matter, just doesn't get any better. Hats off to winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown for yet another majestic, singular wine that’s as good as it gets." Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Sojourn "Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon III Vineyard (95JD, 94CG, 94RP, 92WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "This iconic site in Rutherford can produce mixed results (it’s a big vineyard), yet the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard from Sojourn is a killer bottle of wine. Revealing a deep ruby/plum hue as well as loads of crème de cassis, earthy spices, cedar, chocolate, and new leather, it has an old school, focused, almost Pauillac-like style, full-bodied richness, and a great finish. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - RBS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96JD, 96JS, 95RP, 95WS). James Suckling: "Lots of flowers, such as violets and lilacs on the nose, as well as blue fruit. Medium to full body and firm, silky tannins that are polished and refined. Tight and focused. Lovely finish. " (02/2020)
Starting Bid: $480.00

Bid on this magnum of 2010 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (100RP, 98JS, 97VN, 95ST, 95WE, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A remarkable wine, the 2010 Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select has gone from strength to strength since it was in cask. It is stunningly rich, with classic, fragrant notes of blackcurrants, blackberries, vanilla, graphite and spring flowers. It exhibits an opaque purple color, with a full-bodied, massive mouthfeel, but no heaviness, and again, a flawless integration of acidity, tannin, alcohol and wood. It’s classic California Cabernet, but beautifully put together, showing impeccable craftsmanship and fabulous potential. This is obviously a very young, infantile style of Cabernet that won’t hit its prime for at least another decade and last close to half a century, based on how older vintages that were less well-endowed have matured from Shafer. Bid on this bottle of 2005 Rubicon Estate "Cask" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (90WE). Wine Enthusiast: "Lots of new, smoky oak stands out on this polished Cab. Give it a little time in a decanter before you drink, as it pulls together, becoming more powerful and accenting the blackberry and cherry flavors." (05/2009)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Schrader "Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98JD, 97JS, 96RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "Coming from a larger, famous site in Rutherford, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer GIII Vineyard is another superstar in the lineup. Possessing a dense purple color, it delivers a monster bouquet of ripe blackcurrants, chocolate, tobacco, sweet mulch, and a Graves-like sense of gravelly earth and minerality. While I suspect the acidity is quite low, it stays lively on the palate, possessing full-bodied richness, soft tannins, remarkable purity, and a great finish. This super-rich, opulent, incredibly sexy Cabernet Sauvignon should evolve for 20 years or more." (01/2021)
Starting Bid: $540.00

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Hall Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon (97JD, (93-95RP), (91-94VN)). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Mt. Veeder is pure class and shows the wild, mountain terroir of this appellation beautifully. Blue fruits, sage brush, wet stone-like minerality, and hints of dark chocolate all emerge from the glass, and it's rich, full-bodied, and concentrated, with a backward vibe that's going to reward bottle age. 97+" (01/2020)
Starting Bid: $97.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Colgin "Cariad" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 97VN, 95WE, 94JS, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The blend that Colgin fashions from three vineyards owned by David Abreu (Madrona, Thorevilos and Howell Mountain) is called Cariad. The 2005 Proprietary Red Cariad consists of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc and 9% Petit Verdot. Offering up spring flowers and garden aromas, sweet blueberry and black raspberry fruit, a touch of charcoal embers, graphite and background toast, it is fleshy and full-bodied, and again, meriting a three-digit score. This is absolutely remarkable wine. As it sat in the glass, it developed some rather compelling chocolaty, licorice undertones. This is a great classic to drink over the next 20-25 years. By the way, for those interested, the cooperage generally chosen is dominated by Taransaud barrels, but there are at least four different coopers. (RP)" (06/2015)

Bid on this bottle of 2011 Levy & McClellan "Ampersand" Napa Valley Red Blend. Formed in 1999 by husband and wife Bob Levy and Martha McClellan, each a highly lauded winemaker in their own right, Levy & McClellan is a boutique cult Napa brand up there with the likes of Harlan (where Bob served as long-time winemaker), Realm, Ovid, and Hundred Acre. Martha's resumé includes time at the helm at such luminary properties as Sloan and Blankiet, so these two represent the hands behind some of Napa's most acclaimed (and coveted) wines. These wines are mailing list only and are extremely difficult to find on the open market. Robert Parker writes, "Although expensive, no one will complain about the quality in the bottle as they are clearly Napa Valley first-growths."
