Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Hall Diamond Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 96WE, 95JD, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Opaque purple, it offers up beautiful notes of chocolate, espresso, blackberry and cassis. The wine hits the palate with a gush of deliciously pure, unctuously textured fruit and offers up full body, a multi-layered mouthfeel, and a long, long finish, nearly disguising some serious structure and tannin. This is a gorgeous, classic Diamond Mountain wine to drink over the next 25-30+ years. (RP) 97+" (12/2016)
Starting Bid: $315.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Vérité "Le Désir" Sonoma County Bordeaux Blend (94DC, 93RP, 93VN). Decanter: "Attractively aromatic, this has ripe dark fruit scents with a touch of smokiness. The sumptuous mouthfeel is energised by exemplary Cabernet Franc freshness, while the liquorice-infused finish is long, elevated by an ethereal airiness. (YC)" (07/2019)
Starting Bid: $390.00

Bid on this magnum of 2012 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (98VN, 96JS, 96RP, 94DC, 94WS). Vinous: "The 2012 Monte Bello is one of the most harmonious young Monte Bellos I can remember tasting. Seamless and voluptuous through to the finish, the 2012 is showing beautifully today. Raspberry jam, pomegranate, white flowers, mint and spices are some of the many notes that flesh out in the glass. A wine with a distinctly red-hued profile, silky tannins, no hard edges and exceptional overall balance, the 2012 Monte Bello is simply magnificent. The 2012 is racy but also impeccably balanced throughout, with shades of the 2001 that come through from time to time. I won't be surprised if the 2013 and 2014 both eventually surpass it, but there is no denying that the 2012 is simply stunning today. This is one of the best showings yet for the 2012. (AG)" (07/2015)
Starting Bid: $260.00

Bid on this magnum of 2015 Myriad "Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (97JD, 94RP, 91JS). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 175-case 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard checks in as 100% Cabernet Sauvignon (aged all in new oak) that offers that classic, earthy, darker style that seems to be the hallmark of this incredible site. Black licorice, darker fruits, scorched earth, leafy herbs and tobacco all give way to a full-bodied, unctuous, concentrated beauty that shines for its purity, depth and texture. It’s a brilliant example of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon to enjoy over the coming 20-25 years." (12/2017)
Starting Bid: $260.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Sonoma-Napa Counties Claret (96JD, 95RP, 92VN, 92WE, 92WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "There are just over 500 cases of the 2016 Reserve Claret, a more Merlot-dominated blend that includes 31% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Petit Verdot. It's similarly hued to the Reserve Cabernet and has a terrific perfume of blackcurrants, black cherries, ground herbs, and black tea as well as a whiff of dark chocolate and new saddle leather. This beauty offers a stunning array of full-bodied richness and depth, building yet ripe tannins, notable purity, and a sense of power without heaviness. It is a fabulously complex Bordeaux blend from Napa/Sonoma that will continue drinking beautifully for another 20 years. " (01/2020)
Starting Bid: $225.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Joseph Phelps "Backus" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (96JD, 96RP, 95JS, (92-95VN), 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Backus Vineyard is composed of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Malbec and 4% Petit Verdot. It was aged for 24 months in 100% new French oak barrels. Deep garnet-purple colored, it needs a little coaxing before it charges out of the glass with bold expressions of crème de cassis, boysenberries and black cherry preserves plus suggestions of cast-iron pan, violets, allspice and sandalwood with a touch of fragrant earth. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is absolutely packed with muscular black fruit preserves flavors, beautifully supported by finely grained tannins and lovely freshness, finishing with loads of mineral and spice fireworks. (LPB) 96+" (10/2020)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (96DC, 96W&S, 94JS, 94VN, 92WE, 92WS). Decanter: "Dried mulberry, brick dust and rosemary aromas intertwine with Monte Bello’s signature sweet n’ sour scent. Seamless, pure and plump on the palate, with flavours of dried blueberry, fig and dried cherry. The finish is firm and rustic, ending with notes of ash, cocoa powder and cherry skins. Still in its youth, but beginning to reveal itself. (ML)" (01/2021)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2001 Niebaum-Coppola "Rubicon" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (92WS, 91CG, 91RP, 90WE). Wine Spectator: "Dark, smooth, rich and complex, with a silky texture leading to a core of ripe plum, black cherry, smoky oak and wild berry flavors, finishing with a long, intricate aftertaste. This is a wine that grows on you. (JL)" (11/2004)

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Carter "Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard - La Verdad" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard La Verdad has a very deep purple-black color and reveals slightly subdued, youthful notes of crushed blueberries, warm black cherries and mulberries with hints of blackcurrant cordial, stewed black tea, wilted roses and fragrant soil. Wow—the palate explodes with very primary yet incredibly exciting, densely packed muscular black fruits, framed with a brick house of super ripe tannins and seamless freshness, finishing very long and incredibly cerebral. Yes, yes, yes! (LPB)" (10/2018)
Starting Bid: $275.00

Bid on this bottle of 2018 Maybach "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 98RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2018 Materium comes from the Weitz Vineyard in Oakville and is all Cabernet Sauvignon brought up in mostly new barrels. It's a very different wine than the Amoenus release and has more elegant, seamless aromas and flavors of crème de cassis, black raspberries, tobacco leaf, flowery incense, and sandalwood. Château Margaux-like in its elegance and complexity, this brilliant wine has loads of sweet fruit, flawless integration of its tannins and acidity, flawless balance, and just a heavenly overall profile that I wish every reader could taste. This extraordinary effort can be drunk today or cellared for 30 years or more." (01/2021)
Starting Bid: $230.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1995 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A wine of great intensity and richness, it displays classic notes of licorice, barbecue smoke, creme de cassis, cedarwood and forest floor. Full-bodied with sensational purity, a multidimensional mouthfeel and a long, voluptuous finish with no hard edges, it has only reached mid-adolescence, and has at least two decades of life ahead of it. (RP)" (11/2013)
Starting Bid: $447.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1973 Chappellet Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93JG, 93VN, 92RP). Vinous: "In any other setting, the 1973 Chappellet Cabernet Sauvignon would have probably shown better, but the table was full of great bottles, including the iconic 1969. On this night , the 1973 shows good balance, but it also comes across as a bit mature and dried out. (AG)" (06/2013)
Starting Bid: $645.00

Bid on this magnum of 2018 Realm "Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (100RP, 98JD, 98VN, 97JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr Crane Vineyard displays an opaque purple-black color. It saunters confidently out of the glass with compelling notes of warm black plums, blackcurrant cordial, Morello cherries and black raspberries followed by an opulent perfume of exotic spices, dusty soil, rose oil and crushed rocks with a waft of sandalwood. Full-bodied, rich, seductive and so, so spicy, the palate possesses a multitude of savory, earth and preserved fruit layers, framed by an achingly beautiful velvety texture and seamless freshness, finishing long, long, long—truly showing off its latent power. Like a gorgeous intellectual, this is a wine that will absolutely turn heads and create a stir. (LPB)" (10/2020)
Starting Bid: $750.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 96CG, 96WS, 93W&S, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 boasts an inky/purple color along with notes of graphite, violets, blackberries, creme de cassis and hints of charcoal and barbecue in addition to a full-bodied, multilayered mouthfeel that builds incrementally with great purity, staggering fruit concentration, and a long, velvety, 50+-second finish. This prodigious effort should continue to drink well for 20+ years. (RP)" (11/2013)
Starting Bid: $750.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1997 Dalla Valle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon (2, 800 cases from a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc) boasts an opaque purple color as well as a gorgeous nose of mineral-infused black currants, and spicy oak. Full-bodied, structured, muscular, and multi-dimensional, it is approachable, but best cellared for 2-4 years, and drunk over the following 20-25 years. (RP)" (12/2000)
Starting Bid: $315.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99RP, 95WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The nearly perfect 2002 Proprietary Red Wine is a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot and the rest dollops of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec. This exotic, full-throttle, nearly over-the-top red wine’s intensity, richness and smoky coffee notes intermixed with notions of chocolate, graphite, and jammy blackberry and black currant fruit ooze from the glass. This rich, concentrated beauty tastes more like a top-notch, young Right Bank Bordeaux from a vintage such as 2009 than a wine dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon. With stunning purity and awesome potential, it can be drunk now or cellared for another two decades. (RP)" (06/2012)
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2012 Stags' Leap Winery Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93JS, 90WE) and 1-bottle of 2014 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "Fay" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95JD, (92-95RP), 94JS, (91-94VN), 93DC, 93WE). Of the 2014 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "Fay" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2014s are not yet in bottle. As for the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Fay Estate-Grown, this has a similar saturated purple color, terrific presence on the palate, great ripeness, loads of minerality, floral notes and beautifully pure blackcurrant liqueur intermixed with licorice and spice. It is full-bodied and rich with well-integrated tannin and wood. This is another 20- to 25-year wine, but should drink well after its release. (RP)" (12/2016)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Futo "OV/SL" Oakville Bordeaux Blend (97JS, 94RP, 94VN). James Suckling: "This is a wine with wonderful tannin outline that gives it precision and refinement. Full body, very polished and brilliant. Fine grain texture. Very pretty and classic in every sense of the word. Needs at least three or four years to come together. But already wonderful. " (05/2016)
Starting Bid: $310.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Philip Togni Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (95JG, 95RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Displaying a more saturated ruby/purple hue, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate offers a sweet perfume of blueberries, black raspberries, black currants, and spring flowers. More open aromatically than on the palate, it reveals medium to full body, and an elegant, finesse-styled personality. Togni’s wines always have a Bordeaux-like structure. It is a gracious, savory effort that should age for 20-25 years. (RP)" (12/2009)
Starting Bid: $170.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2017 Anakota "Helena Dakota" Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and 1-bottle of 2017 Anakota "Helena Montana" Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Realm "The Absurd" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100JD, 100RP, 95JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Composed of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc, the singular, absolutely compelling 2015 The Absurd opens with a seriously intense black currant cordial and plum preserves core, slowly revealing cedar chest, mincemeat pie, potpourri and spice box hints plus a waft of chocolate-covered cherries. The full-bodied, concentrated palate is packed with opulent black fruits and baking spice layers, featuring a rock-solid backbone of tight-grained tannins and just enough freshness to lift and tantalize on the long, seductive finish. Only 250 cases were made. (LPB)" (10/2017)
Starting Bid: $1,450.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97WE, 96DC, 96JD, 96JS, 96RP, 94W&S, 94WS). Wine Enthusiast: "This estate-grown blend combines 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Malbec and 2% Cabernet Franc, allowing the main variety to speak loudest. Gorgeously perfumed, it unfurls wave after wave of cassis, dusty rock and cocoa powder - seasonings that boost secondary characteristics of black and red currant and cherry. With structure and complexity to spare, it should do well over time; enjoy best from 2027-2032. *CellarSelection* (VB)" (11/2020)

Bid on this bottle of 2011 Christopher Tynan "Meleagris Gallopavo Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Vinous: "The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Meleagris Gallopavo Vineyard is a very good wine, especially within the context of the vintage. Scorched earth, smoke, leather, licorice, bittersweet chocolate and dark fruit develop in the glass, with an extra kick of energy from the cool vintage that adds an extra dimension of savoriness. (AG)" (12/2018)
Starting Bid: $170.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Kapcsándy "Grand Vin - State Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Absolutely riveting, and even better than I predicted last year is the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon - Grand Vin State Lane Vineyard. Made from 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, and the rest tiny dollops of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot...in two weeks of tastings, this wine stood out as one of those singular efforts that it is impossible to get out of your mind and off of your palate. A flawless, seamless, profound example of Napa Cabernet, it exhibits an opaque purple color along with a gorgeous perfume of lead pencil shavings, cedar, creme de cassis, ink, flowers, and espresso roast. " (12/2009)
Starting Bid: $575.00

Bid on this bottle of 2002 Abreu "Madrona Ranch" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 Madrona Ranch possesses an opaque blue/purple color as well as an extraordinary, enveloping, massive aromatic profile consisting of spring flowers, charcoal, lead pencil shavings, blueberries, raspberries and blackberry liqueur. In the mouth, there is sensational texture, full-bodied intensity, and terrific freshness, precision and vibrancy, despite what is undeniably a massive, rich, intense wine that should age well for another 25-35 years. The 2001s were about as profound as I have ever tasted from Abreu, but the 2002s may be even sexier since they are slightly more evolved. (RP)" (06/2012)
Starting Bid: $410.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 98JS, 98WE, 97JD, 97VN, 96CG, 96DC, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet-purple colored, the nose is a little reticent to begin, needing a fair bit of coaxing to reveal beautifully beguiling notions of wild blueberries, warm blackberries, black currant cordial, cloves and cedar chest with nuances of camphor, yeast extract, charcuterie and candied violets. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has fantastic elegance and depth, revealing loads of subtle floral, black fruit and earthy layers with a firm, very finely grained texture and seamless freshness, finishing with epic length. (LPB)" (10/2019)

Bid on this bottle of 1968 Heitz "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96JG). John Gilman: "The 1968 vintage was the first truly legendary Martha’s Vineyard bottling and its reputation has been stellar since the wine was first released in 1973. At age forty-three, the wine remains absolutely at its zenith and is drinking stunningly well. The bouquet is deep, wide open and brilliant, as it soars from the glass in a mélange of red and black cherries, a touch of chocolate, a beautiful signature note of fresh mint, woodsmoke, Rutherford dust, a touch of petroleum jelly, red curry and a topnote of orange zest. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, very pure and absolutely à point, with a sappy core of fruit, a beautiful base of soil, great focus, bright, tangy acids and flawless balance on the very, very long and utterly seamless finish. This is a legendary vintage of Martha’s Vineyard that remains at its absolute apogee." (06/2011)
Starting Bid: $1,650.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2018 Beringer "Q" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend. Antonio Galloni writes: "This extensive range from Beringer is full of highlights, with one or two wines that might have been more convincing. A bevy of single-vineyard Cabernets form the core of the range, and it is precisely these wines that show another step in the search for greater freshness and energy that culminates in a fabulous edition of the flagship Private Reserve that avoids the heaviness of some recent vintages. My only real quibble is with the Knights Valley Cabernets, which seem to have become more fruity and less expressive of place. Overall, though, there is plenty to like in this lineup from Beringer and Chief Winemaker Mark Beringer."
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Caymus Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92WS). Wine Spectator: "This embraces the ripe, lush style head on, with creamed plum, cassis and blackberry preserve flavors gliding through, showing seamless structure and hefty dollops of mocha and ganache on the finish. For the hedonist crowd. (JM)" (08/2020)
Starting Bid: $135.00

Bid on this bottle of 2010 Hewitt "Double Plus" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A spectacular effort, probably the finest wine I have tasted to date from Hewitt Vineyard, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Double Plus is a classic of mid-Napa Valley. It boasts gorgeous notes of creme de cassis, flowers and spice box in a rich, but not over-done style. The wood influence is subtle, not intrusive, and this gorgeous, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon performed spectacularly in my tastings. (RP)" (10/2013)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1974 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "SLV" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Stag's Leap Vineyard. According to Michael Broadbent: "Immensely impressive when first tasted in 1976 and in 1979, still opaque, perfectly balanced, great future. At the Wine Experience 10-year tasting, richly coloured, very pronounced though somewhat idiosyncratic character. More recently, two notes in New York, first a pre-tasting of Tawfiq Khoury's, sweet, distinctive, delicious, and later that evening at a BYOB at Chrisitie's. Last tasted Feb 1997. 4 Stars." (Michael Broadbent's Vintage Wine, pg 513)
Starting Bid: $370.00

Bid on this magnum of 2018 Realm "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (98RP, 98WE, 98WS, 97VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, coming from five different blocks, and was harvested "in multiple picks, at a leisurely pace." Deep garnet-purple colored, it rolls sensuously out of the glass with decadent scents of boysenberries, black cherries, redcurrant jelly and blackcurrant pastilles with hints of bouquet garni, black soil and iron ore. Full-bodied, the taut, tightly knit black and red fruit has a firm structure of ripe, grainy tannins and bags of freshness, finishing very long with loads of earth and mineral nuances coming through. (LPB) 98+" (10/2020)
Starting Bid: $700.00

Bid on this bottle of 1974 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 97JG, 92JD). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I had this wine twice over a period of thirty days, rating it an astounding 99 and 98 points. A monumental California Cabernet Sauvignon, it appears to have approached its plateau of maturity but should easily last for 20-25 more years. There is no rust, amber, or brown to the saturated dark purple color. The spectacular, huge, Mouton-Rothschild-like nose of mint, cassis, lead pencil, and toast is remarkably youthful. Staggeringly concentrated, this full-bodied, super-rich wine possesses moderate tannin, fresh, lively acidity, and a blockbuster, rich, fleshy finish. This is a monumental effort! (RP)" (08/1994)
Starting Bid: $1,200.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1990 La Jota Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This small estate on Howell Mountain remains one of California's finest producers of world-class, complex red wine. The 1990 Cabernet Sauvignon-Howell Mountain is typically backward, tannic, full-bodied, and concentrated, but 6-7 years away from accessible drinkability. The color is opaque garnet/purple, and the nose is tight but promising, with scents of minerals, cassis, and spices. Rich and concentrated, as well as ferociously tannic (the tannin is ripe rather than astringent), this promising wine should reach its apogee by the turn of the century and last 20 or more years. (RP)" (10/1993)
Starting Bid: $160.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Realm "Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 98JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 400 cases of the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard, which is 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot. This comes from the backstreets of St. Helena and the site basically looks like a quarry with its extreme gravelly soils. The wine is made from clone 337, which may be my favorite of the Cabernet clones. As I have said before, this is a Mission Haut-Brion on steroids – an incredibly fabulous wine with notes of scorched earth, charcoal embers, blackberry and blueberry fruit, an almost endless mouthfeel with powerful fruit, but elegance as well as purity. A thoroughly flawless and seamless full-bodied wine with 30 years of upside, this is pure perfection. If you have the patience, try to hold off for a couple of years, as this is one of the more structured of the 2014s. (RP)" (12/2016)
Starting Bid: $725.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1998 Corison Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Dark, inky color and concentrated flavors resulted from the shy yields. The 1998 Corison shows flavors of cherry, berry and plum fruit with hints of dried rose petal and violet. The wine is elegant in the mouth with a long and firm structure.
Starting Bid: $295.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2014 Ramey "Annum" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95JD, 94RP, 93VN, 92WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "With a Pauillac-like style in its graphite, blackcurrant, lead pencil and tobacco aromatics, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Annum is a full-bodied, concentrated, seamless 2014 that’s very much in the style of the 2014 vintage. Despite the upfront charm, it has plenty of underlying tannin and structure and is going to evolve beautifully for 15-20 years. This cuvée is 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet Franc, aged all in new oak." (06/2018)
Starting Bid: $200.00

Bid on this bottle of 2018 Vine Hill Ranch "VHR" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (98VN). Vinous: "The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon has filled out beautifully since I tasted it a year ago. Rich, sumptuous and enveloping, the 2018 captivates all the senses with its sensual personality. All the Vine Hill Ranch signatures come through so beautifully. The 2018 possesses tremendous intensity as it continues to open in the glass, revealing myriad shades of nuance. Black cherry, lavender, spice and chocolate all flesh out on a wine that balances the sumptuousness of the 2012 with some of the energy (but not the size) of the 2013. (AG)" (01/2021)
Starting Bid: $200.00

Bid on this bottle of 1991 Philip Togni "Estate" Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 95JG, 92ST, 90VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1991 Cabernet Sauvignon is another upcoming re-release from the winery’s library. It is one of the most unique wines I have ever tasted from Togni. The warm year yielded an abundant crop. At the time, Togni also made a white wine. Because of the size of the crop, the harvest took longer than normal, which meant the red grapes spent a little longer on the vine than they would have otherwise. The 1991 presents an intriguing combination of raciness from the super-ripe fruit, but within the classic Togni framework. Sweet tobacco, camphor, savory herbs, licorice and worn-in leather are some of the nuances that add complexity to the fruit. . (AG)" (12/2011)
Starting Bid: $250.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "They appear to be immune to some of winedom’s less than intelligent trends and fads that we see from time to time, and the result is a spectacular 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon 40th Anniversary offering. Its dense purple/black color is followed by copious quantities of crème de cassis and blackberry fruit, silky tannins, a voluptuous texture and stunning purity as well as length. This full-bodied effort is a fabulous example of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a tribute to this amazing family. Amazing! (RP)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Merus Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 94JS, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted too late to make it into the December issue, Merus’s 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits an inky/purple color as well as an extraordinary bouquet of blueberry liqueur intermixed with graphite, charcoal, cassis, and spice. The wood seems pushed to the background given the extraordinary concentration of fruit. Full-bodied, powerful, and rich with chocolaty espresso notes intermixed with blackberries and blueberries, this pure, impressively textured, long Cabernet should evolve for two decades. (RP)" (02/2010)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 94ST, 93DC). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Absolutely superb, this 2003 is drinking beautifully. This blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot from the famous hillside Eisele Vineyard in northeast Napa Valley tips the scales at 14.5% natural alcohol. Gorgeously fresh black currant and black raspberry notes intermixed with spring flowers and forest floor jump from the glass from one of the most aromatically complex wines of the vintage. Medium to full-bodied with sweet fruit, velvety, melted, integrated tannin, a round, generous mouthfeel and no evidence of oak, this is a classy, elegant as well as substantial beauty that continues to age well. (RP)" (06/2013)
Starting Bid: $367.00

Bid on this bottle of 2009 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon ((97-98JS), 98RP, 97WE, 96WS, 95CG, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made entirely of Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2009 Hillside Select has a deep garnet color. Wow—it explodes from the glass with this atomic nose of crème de cassis, Black Forest cake, baked plums and boysenberries plus hints of licorice, mocha, cedar chest and pencil lead with a waft of garrigue. Full-bodied, the palate is a concentrated, full-on behemoth, possessing fantastic balance and expressiveness, finishing with epic length and a fantastically velvety texture. (LPB) 98+" (01/2020)

Bid on this 3 liter of 1991 Dominus "Napanook Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (3L) (94VN, 93WS). Vinous: "Healthy deep medium red. Musky plum, cherry jam, spices and chocolate on the nose, complicated by hints of leather, mocha and truffle. Utterly refined, sophisticated wine with the complex soil-driven animal and vegetable notes of a great mature Bordeaux. Distinctly wild but also wonderfully silky and seamless, this midweight wine is a clear standout from the early years of this winery. Evolving very slowly but à point right now. Finishes very subtle and long, with a firm dusting of tannins and surprising structure and grip. Classically dry, showing lovely life in the mouth and lift on the back end, but this is about as far from primary Napa Valley fruit as a Napa wine can be. (ST)" (07/2018)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2016 Joseph Phelps Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94JS, 94WE, 93RP, 92VN, 91JD, 91WS). Wine Enthusiast: "This lovely wine shows exceptional quality and complexity within a bold, expansive package of thick, grippy tannin and layered flavors of blackberry, tobacco and smoked meat. *Editors’ Choice* (VB) " (07/2019)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Rudd "Oakville Estate" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (96RP, 93ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A sensational proprietary red wine blend from Leslie Rudd, this 2004 is composed of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot, 8% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc from a top-notch vineyard on the Oakville Crossroads sandwiched between Screaming Eagle and Plumpjack. Flawlessly assembled with not a hard edge to be found, it boasts a dense ruby/purple color, copious notes of graphite and black fruits, sweet tannin, a voluptuous, opulent texture, and terrific purity as well as freshness. This gorgeous, multi-dimensional, full-bodied 2004 is drinkable now, yet has the stuffing and length to last for 15-20 more years. (RP)" (04/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Spottswoode "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97IWR, 97RP, 96JD, 96JS, 96VN, 96WE, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is deep garnet-purple in color and prances out of the glass with vivacious blackberries, crushed black cherries, warm black currants and red currant jelly scents plus exotic hints of cassia, cardamom, fenugreek and star anise with a waft of underbrush. Medium-bodied, the palate has fantastic energy and beautiful poise, with bags of bright, crunchy black and red fruit plus a firm, fine-grained texture, finishing long and spicy. (LPB) 97+" (10/2019)

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 1986 La Jota Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: The 1986 Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon still boasts an opaque dark garnet color. In addition, it remains tannic, backward, and youthful. The wine possesses admirable power and richness, but it is interesting to contrast the type of tannin in the 1986 (astringent, bitter, hard, and intrusive) with the style of tannin La Jota has achieved since 1992 (sweet, well-integrated, and ripe). This wine may turn out to be outstanding, but it is no sure bet, particularly when compared to their gorgeously opulent, complex, rich, 1986 Cabernet Franc. In spite of being powerfully endowed with considerable levels of fruit, extract, glycerin, and tannin, my instincts suggest this Cabernet Sauvignon will always possess an excess of tannin. Bid on this bottle of 2014 Bevan "Tench Vineyard - EE" Oakville Bordeaux Blend (97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Blended of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Merlot, the 2014 Proprietary Red EE Tench Vineyard has a deep garnet color. It springs from the glass with bright, youthful scents of baked red and black cherries, blackcurrant pastilles, candied violets and espresso, with underlying hints of sassafras, Sichuan pepper and tobacco. The full-bodied palate is surprisingly energetic and light on its feet, featuring a very firm, rock-solid structure of ripe, grainy tannins and lovely freshness, finishing with loads of persistent earth and mineral layers. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 98RP, 98W&S, 97VN, 96WS, 95WE, 94CG). Jeb Dunnuck: "Pure perfection, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Monte Bello is a sensational effort from this estate that should be snatched up by drinkers and collectors. Based on 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot, and the rest Cabernet Franc that was brought up mostly in new American oak, this saturated purple-hued beauty is legendary Monte Bello in the making and has a stunning yet primordial bouquet of crème de cassis, lead pencil shavings, graphite, chocolate, and chalky minerality. Full-bodied, incredibly powerful, and one of the most concentrated versions of this cuvée ever made (I've had most of them), it needs a solid decade of bottle age and will have 50-60 years of overall longevity. Despite the long drinking window, it offers plenty of pleasure even today. " (08/2020)
