Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2003 Dönnhoff Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling Spätlese Auction (95RP) and 2-bottles of 2003 Dönnhoff Norheimer Dellchen Riesling Auslese Nahe (98RP). Of the 2003 Dönnhoff Norheimer Dellchen Riesling Auslese Nahe, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Undoubtedly the finest 2003 Auslese I tasted is Donnhoff’s majestic 2003 Riesling Auslese Norheimer Dellchen. Its immensely complex aromas reveals a plethora of fresh herbs, minerals, slate, and apples. On the palate, this wine reveals a depth of stupendous proportions. Powerful, yet refined, it has the ethereal qualities that mark this brilliant winemaker’s best cuvees. Combining the vintage’s sensual nature with exquisite precision and refinement, this gem displays crystalline minerals enrobed in red berries whose effects linger throughout its long, sublime finish. Wow! Bravo to Helmut Donnhoff for this magical line-up! (PR)" (12/2004)
Starting Bid: $218.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2011 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett Mosel (95JG, 92WS). John Gilman: "The 2011 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett AP #8 from Weingut Joh. Jos. Prüm is a gorgeous and very expressive example of the vintage. The deep, pure and utterly refined nose wafts from the glass in a blend of delicious apple, pear, a beautifully complex signature of slate, petrol and a potpourri of white flowers in the upper register. On the palate the wine is medium-full, pure and rock solid at the core, with zesty acids, laser-like focus and simply stunning length and grip on the complex and dancing finish. A stunning Kabinett in the making! " (05/2015)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this bottle of 2001 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese Auction Mosel (96WS). Wine Spectator: "Piercing scent of slate, then the palate is awash in peach, pear and lime notes, intricately layered in the dense, yet clear texture. Beautifully defined by a firm, well-integrated structure, with an endless finish. (BS)" (03/2003)
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2001 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese Goldkapsel Mosel. With its steep, grapevine-spiked slopes composed of pure, weathered devon slate soils, Wehlener Sonnenuhr is one of the Mosel's most iconic vineyards. Dr. Manfred Prüm made very favorable comparisons of the 2001s to 1990 and 1999, but with riper more compact acidity and minimal botrytis (except in the GKA). Fermented with indigenous yeast, this is intense, packed with tropical fruit aromas and flavors with tell-tale smoky, petrol notes. It has a long life ahead. 97 points from Jean Fisch and David Rayer for Mosel Fine Wines: "This offers a bright yellow color and a most beautiful nose of yellow peach, mango, passion fruit and white flowers. Far from being powerful, this has the delineation of a Spätlese, with the complexity and depth of a great feine Auslese. " (04/2011)
Starting Bid: $315.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2005 Müller-Catoir Gimmeldinger Mandelgarten Riesling Spätlese Pfalz (90ST, 90WS). Wine Spectator: "Lithe and concentrated, this features peach, vanilla custard and a hint of grapefruit flavors matched to a bright structure. A tad pinched on the finish, but give this time to settle down. (BS)" (02/2007)
Starting Bid: $126.35

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1990 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese Goldkapsel Mosel (98WS, (94-95JG)). Wine Spectator: "Packed with fruit, minerals, acidity and sweetness, this masterpiece still needs time to show its best. The honeylike botrytis aromas are still undeveloped, but the intensity and brilliance of flavor are already stunning. Decades of aging potential." (03/1994)
Starting Bid: $495.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2011 Dönnhoff Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling Spätlese (96RP, 92ST, 91WS) and 2-bottles of 2011 Dönnhoff Oberhäuser Brücke Riesling Spätlese (96RP, 95JG, 91WS). Of the 2011 Dönnhoff Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling Spätlese, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "A riveting, high-toned aromatic diversity announces the Donnhoff 2011 Niederhauser Hermannshohle Riesling Spatlese with themes that inform an at once creamy yet subtly tannic and vibrant palate: quince, pear, lychee, nut oils, fusel oils, distilled herbal essences, brown spices, and smoky black tea. This behaves as if a bit of Traminer had been blended-in. " (02/2013)
Starting Bid: $166.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1990 Joh. Jos. Prüm Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese Mosel. Just upstream from the famed Wehlener Sonnenuhr is the Graacher Himmelreich. With deeper, richer soils, this site is a little less steep and its southwest exposure ensures the wines from this site always have a racy and juicy acid background that really makes the wines sing.
Starting Bid: $320.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Willi Schaefer Graacher Domprobst Riesling Spätlese #9 (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Apples, limestone, and white flowers are found in the nose of the 2003 Riesling Spatlese Graacher Domprobst A.P. #0904. Armed with awesome breadth, this ample, medium-bodied wine bursts forth with crystalline freshness and verve. Loads of quartz, tea, and pear-laced minerals can be detected in its complex, pure, exceptionally long personality. Projected maturity: 2006-2022. Bravo to Willi Schaefer for having crafted such beauties!" (10/2004)
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2005 Dönnhoff Norheimer Dellchen Riesling Spätlese (91ST) and 2-bottles of 2005 Dönnhoff Norheimer Kirschheck Riesling Spätlese Nahe (91ST). Of the 2005 Dönnhoff Norheimer Dellchen Riesling Spätlese, Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar writes: "Pale golden yellow. Delicate aromas of orange, smoked meat and nut oil. Refined but quite discreet, even closed, today. Not at all a showy riesling, but one you need to search to find. The elegantly spicy finish offers a nice interplay of sweet fruits and mineral salts. After the almost baroque stature of 2003 and the elegant minerality of 2004, Helmut Donnhoff's 2005s can best be described as perfectly balanced. (JP)" (01/2007)
Starting Bid: $130.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2005 Fritz Haag Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Spätlese (91ST, 90RP) and 2-bottles of 2007 Fritz Haag Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Spatlese (94RP, 91ST). Of the 2007 Fritz Haag Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Spatlese, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The Haag 2007 Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Spatlese drips with ultra-ripe melon, nectarine, and honey, with heady, gardenia-like floral notes, enhancing the impression of richness confirmed by a succulent, creamily-textured palate. In the best vintage manner, this possesses palpable extract, but treads delicately. An infectiously juicy and persistently floral finish is truly transparent to nuances of nut oils, salt and stone. This modestly-priced masterpiece is entirely worthy of the praise I heaped on its 2006 predecessor, and should be worth following for three decades. (DS)" (06/2009)
Starting Bid: $110.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2009 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett Mosel (93W&S, 92WS, 91RP, 91ST, 90WE). Wine & Spirits: "Fuller in body than the Graacher Himmelreich (recommended above), this is no less refined, showing a silky texture and graceful balance. Its aromas of tangerine, nectarine and jasmine tea are anchored by darkly vivid notes of slate, feeling energetic and intense. " (04/2011)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2007 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese Mosel (96W&S, 94JG), 1-bottle of 2011 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese Mosel (94RP, 93WS, 92WE, 91ST), and 2-bottles of 2012 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese Mosel (95RP, 93WE, 92VN, 92WS). Of the 2007 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese Mosel, Wine & Spirits writes: "This is an archetypal Prüm Auslese, from its aristocratic poise and silky finesse to its vibrant energy and crystalline complexity. Its sleek fuselage of fruit feels succulent without needing to be overly rich, and its subtle, mineral-drenched flavors unfold in kaleidoscopic detail on the long and fragrant finish. At the same time, its youthfulness is almost painfully evident, a reminder that drinking this wine in optimum maturity is a pleasure that won't be experienced for at least another two or three decades." (10/2009)

Bid on this 6-bottle tasting lot, including 3 of the 2001 Müller-Catoir Haardter Bürgergarten Riesling Spätlese, and 3 of the 2001 Müller-Catoir Haardter Bürgergarten Riesling Spätlese Trocken. Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 1998 Donnhoff Oberhauser Brucke Riesling Auslese, 1-bottle of 2000 Dönnhoff Oberhauser Brucke Spätlese Auction Nahe, 1-bottle of 2005 Dönnhoff Oberhäuser Brücke Riesling Auslese (96JG, 95WS, 92ST), and 1-bottle of 2006 Dönnhoff Oberhäuser Brücke Riesling Beerenauslese Nahe (375ml) (96RP, 95JG, 94VN). Of the 2005 Dönnhoff Oberhäuser Brücke Riesling Auslese, John Gilman writes: "The 2005 Oberhäuser Brücke is a magical young Auslese in the making. The very primary nose delivers the uncanny purity of the best botrytized wines of the vintage, coupled with the brilliant terroir that is the Brücke, as it soars from the glass in a mélange of pear, candied grapefruit, kaleidoscopic minerality and a floral topnote. I am sure this wine is sporting plenty of botrytis, but today it is almost imperceptible on both the nose and palate. . (Drink between 2012-2040)" (08/2006)

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2004 Dönnhoff Niederhauser Hermannshöhle Riesling Auslese Nahe (375ml) (95RP, 94WS, 92ST), 1-bottle of 2005 Dönnhoff Niederhauser Hermannshohle Riesling Auslese (375ml), 1-bottle of 2010 Dönnhoff Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling Auslese (375ml) (94ST), and 1-bottle of 2011 Dönnhoff Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling Auslese Nahe (375ml) (97RP, 94ST, 93WS). Of the 2011 Dönnhoff Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling Auslese Nahe (375ml), Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "One of three products of botrytis selection in this site that extended into January, the Donnhoff 2011 Niederhauser Hermannshohle Riesling Auslese gold capsule strikingly combines custardy richness of texture and honeyed ennoblement with bright acidity; a wellspring of primary juiciness; and salinity that will milk you salivary glands for all that they are worth. (DS)" (02/2013)
Starting Bid: $125.00
