Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1997 Dow's Vintage Port (95WS, 94WE, 92ST, 90RP). Wine Spectator: "Warm and inviting, with a worn leather feel to the mix of dried anise, espresso, bittersweet cocoa, steeped fig and mulled currant notes, which move seamlessly together through the buckwheat-edged finish. There's plenty here to like now, but this has ample energy for additional development. (JM, Web Only-2017)"
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Viña Almaviva "Almaviva" Red Blend Puente Alto (95JS, 95VN, 93RP, 93WE, 92WS). Vinous: "Lovely liqueur aromas of cassis and maraschino cherry mix with menthol, dried leaf and sour cherry jelly. Active tannins, medium freshness and dry fruits in the mouth. The jammy aftertaste is part of a potent but balanced profile. (JH)" (05/2020)

Of the 2016 The Third Twin (Sine Qua Non) Central Coast Graciano,Vinous writes: "The 2016 The Third Twin Graciano seems to be especially well-suited to Manfred and Elaine Krankl's Three Twins site. The 2016 is another fabulous edition. Super-ripe black cherry, plum, chocolate, new leather, licorice, menthol and spice flesh out in a sumptuous, beautifully textured wine that hits all the right notes. Dollops of Mourvèdre and Petite Sirah round out the blend. The 2016 is vibrant, explosive and flat-out stunning. Wow! (AG) 98+" (09/2019)
Starting Bid: $1,300.00

Bid on this bottle of 2017 Next Of Kyn (Sine Qua Non) "Cumulus Vineyard #11" Central Coast Red Blend (100JD, 97RP, (94-96VN)). Jeb Dunnuck: "Pure perfection, the 2017 No 11 comes all from the estate Cumulus Vineyard around the estate in Oak View and is 48% Syrah, 24.8% Grenache, 12.7% Mourvèdre, 10.6% Petite Sirah, and the balance a mix of white varieties including Petit Manseng and Roussanne. Fermented with 23% whole clusters and aged 32 months in 68% new French oak, this incredible 2017 boasts a saturated purple hue to go with full-bodied aromas and flavors of ripe blackberries, bouquet garni, ground pepper, white chocolate, and cured meats. Incredibly complex, flawlessly balanced, and with a seamless texture that needs to be tasted to be believed, this is a magical blend from California that can be drunk today with incredible pleasure or cellared for 15-20 years. Hats off to the Krankl family for another truly special wine!" (08/2020)
Starting Bid: $190.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Viader "V" Napa Valley Red. A bold and rich Bordeaux blend that puts the Petit Verdot grape front and center. This is a limited-production, dark and soulful wine. Producer's notes: "In the northeast corner of our steep, hillside vineyard sits a special, 1.2-acre plot planted to Petit Verdot where the soil is particularly rocky and the yields incredibly small. But however short on production these grapes are each vintage, they are always long on personality – which ultimately inspired the production of 'V, ' our interpretation of the Petit Verdot grape from our estate. Each year the 'V' is blended with top barrel selections of our estate Cabernet Sauvignon and aged in 100% new French oak for up to 24 months. The result is a highly limited-production reserve Bordeaux-style blend with bold and rich dark fruit notes, followed by a long, smooth finish."
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Saxum "Paderewski Vineyard" Paso Robles Red Blend (97VN, 95JD, 94RP, 93WS). Vinous: "Opaque ruby. Powerful, deeply pitched black and blue fruit, candied licorice, violet pastille and fruitcake flavors are braced by a spine of juicy acidity and a hint of smoky minerals. Stains the palate with densely packed cassis, bitter cherry and blueberry flavors that pick up exotic spice, cola and dark chocolate on the back half. This deeply concentrated wine shows remarkable clarity and litheness for its richness and finishes extremely long and spicy, with a resonating floral note and chewy, steadily building tannins. (JR)" (02/2020)
Starting Bid: $160.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 L'Aventure "Estate Cuvée" Paso Robles Red Blend (97JD, 97RP, 94ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Estate Cuvée is an infant that still has a jammy, unevolved character. Showing every bit as good as when I tasted it on release, it offers up a stunning bouquet of blackberry, cassis, chocolate, graphite and liquid smoke that flows to a full-bodied, layered and decidedly pure profile on the palate. Shining as much for its elegance and purity as for its richness and depth, it possesses fine tannin, good acidity and a big finish. (JD)" (07/2014)
Starting Bid: $299.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1977 Taylor Vintage Port (98VN, 97WS, 96RP, 95WE, 93JG). Vinous: "The 1977 Taylor's Vintage Port is initially tight and conservative on the nose: strawberry, baked cherry, tobacco and wild hedgerow notes emerging but remaining tight-lipped. This needs a good decant! The palate is endowed with depth and concentration, very well balanced with an attractive crispness. Perhaps you could argue that it is a "linear" and more "correct" Taylor's compared to the 1970 and lacks some charm. But there is immense complexity here so it is more a case of a Port demanding a very long maturation in bottle. (NM)" (06/2018)
Starting Bid: $235.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Palari Faro Sicilia (95DC, 94WE, 93RP, 91W&S). Decanter: "The nose is lean and intense, with aromas of sour cherries and a hint of coffee. Although very concentrated, it's silky, fresh and lively, with almost tangy acidity. It shows elegance and poise rather than plumpness and weight, and the tannins are well integrated. Very long, with great potential. (SB)" (03/2018)

Of the 2016 Next of Kyn (Sine Qua Non) "Cumulus Vineyard No. 10'' Central Coast Red Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The very nearly completed (being prepped for bottling in July 2019) 10th installment of this incredible 'home' vineyard expression from Sine Qua Non’s Cumulus vineyard knocks it out of the park. (LPB)" (06/2019)

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2016 The Third Twin (Sine Qua Non) "Nuestra Señora del Tercer Gemelo" Central Coast Red Blend (OWC - 99RP, 98JD, 95VN) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Very deep garnet-purple in color, the 2016 Nuestra Senora Del Tercer Gemelo has a wonderfully meaty/savory nose over a core of crème de cassis and baked plums with nut and fruit cake undertones followed by yeast extract, tilled soil, fungi and unsmoked cigar notes. The massively rich, full-bodied palate is incredibly precise, features wonderfully delineated, complex savory, earthy and mineral layers, all lifted by fantastic freshness. (LPB) 99+" (06/2019)
Starting Bid: $1,825.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Terredora di Paolo Campore Taurasi Riserva (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Taurasi Campore is rich, deep and sensual. The firm Aglianico tannins are virtually tamed in this large-scaled Taurasi. This is the most textured and full-bodied of the estate’s Taurasis, but all the elements meld together with notable harmony and distinction. Sweet rose petals, licorice and herbs add complexity on the vivid, totally striking finish. (AG)" (02/2013)
