Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2003 Domaine Raveneau Chablis 1er Cru "Montmains" ((88-91ST)) and 1-bottle of 2003 Domaine Raveneau Chablis 1er Cru "Montée de Tonnerre" ((90-92ST), 91BH). Of the 2003 Domaine Raveneau Chablis 1er Cru "Montée de Tonnerre", Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar writes: "Very pale, green-tinged color. Pure, reticent nose hints at cold steel and lime. Dense, sweet and vibrant, with enticingflavors of white peach, minerals and spring flowers. Finishes bright and very long, with an almost tannic impression of power." (07/2005)
Starting Bid: $310.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (95RP, 93JS, 93VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The spectacular 2003 Pontet Canet is still incredibly young and vigorous. This full-bodied classic boasts a dense purple color as well as a superb nose of graphite, creme de cassis, forest floor, licorice and a hint of truffles, low acidity, and extravagant richness. Most of the tannins have been resolved in this superstar of the vintage. It should continue to drink well for 10-15+ years. (RP) 95+" (08/2014)
Starting Bid: $330.00

Bid on this bottle of 2003 Domaine Raveneau Chablis 1er Cru "Vaillons" ((89-91ST), (88-90BH)). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Pale, green-tinged color. Cool, very reserved aromas of powdered stone and menthol. Densely packed, concentrated and fresh, showing stony minerality and verve rare for the vintage. Finishes with a note of oatmeal. A terrific premier cru. (ST)" (07/2005)
Starting Bid: $161.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Léoville-Poyferré, St-Julien (96RP, 95JS, 95WS, 93WE, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The spectacular 2003 Leoville Poyferre exhibits a dense purple color with a touch of lightening at the edge as well as notes of creosote, barbecue smoke, jammy black currants, licorice and spice box. This intense, voluptuously textured, full-bodied St.-Julien possesses low acidity and ripe tannin. Still fresh and exuberant, it is just entering its plateau of full maturity where it should remain for 10-15+ years. (RP)" (08/2014)
Starting Bid: $420.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Domaine Vincent Dauvissat Chablis Grand Cru "Les Clos" (93VN, 91BH). Vinous: "Bright yellow. Aromas of pineapple, rosemary and nutmeg, with some fresh veggie nuances. Large-scaled, plush and densely packed; a very concentrated, tactile, bone-dry wine with terrific breadth and seamless texture, but much more about powdered and wet-stone minerality than fruit in the mouth. Finishes saline and bone-dry. I would have guessed this wine was higher in alcohol but it's not at all tired, despite possessing barely three grams per liter of acidity. No one will ever describe this powerful wine as classic Clos and yet there's plenty of minerality here. (ST)" (11/2019)
Starting Bid: $333.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2003 Sociando-Mallet "Cuvée Jean Gautreau, " Haut-Médoc (92WS, 90RP). Wine Spectator: "Beautiful and intense aromas of blackberry, lightly grilled meat and currant. Full-bodied, with loads of fruit and big, velvety tannins. Blockbuster. (JS)" (03/2006)
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this bottle of 2003 Domaine Jean Grivot Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru (94WS). Wine Spectator: "A big, muscular red, fresh, with blackberry, coffee and spice aromas and flavors backed by severe tannins. It's concentrated and shows finesse, but will require years to soften and open up fully. Fine length." (05/2006)
Starting Bid: $99.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2003 Domaine de Marcoux Châteauneuf-du-Pape (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 vintage was the first vintage ever where they started harvest in August, and this sweltering hot year yielded erratic, yet sometimes brilliant wines. The 2003 Chateauneuf du Pape is a full-on success and has lots of sweet kirsch, roasted herbs, licorice and Provencal garrigue as well as full-bodied richness, impressive concentration, and sweet tannin (tannin ripeness was the true difficulty in the vintage). (JD)" (10/2016)
Starting Bid: $224.00

Bid on this bottle of 2003 Latour, Pauillac (100JS, 100RP, (96-98WE), 98WS, 97ST, 97VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "2003 was one of the hottest, earliest Bordeaux vintages ever. Some vines suffered from lack of moisture, but old vines and clay subsoil at Enclos saw this vineyard through. The Merlot harvest occurred between September 8 and 13, and the Cabernet Sauvignon was picked between September 22 and 30. The 2003 Latour is a blend of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot. Six percent of the press wine was added to the final blend. It has a medium to deep garnet-purple color, then wow—it explodes from the glass with bombastic black and blue fruits, followed up by meat, wood smoke, sandalwood and Indian spice accents with underlying floral wafts. The palate is full, rich, velvety, seductive and very long on the finish. There were only 10,800 cases made (rather than the normal 15,000-20,000). (LPB)" (02/2019)

Bid on this bottle of 2003 Domaine Rossignol-Trapet Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru (91BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Only a touch of wood frames the ripe but elegant cherry and raspberry fruit aromas that lead to opulent, fresh and very rich flavors offer good length and fine balance. There is a sappy sweetness and more than admirable density here and this is most seductive as well as impressive. (AM)" (01/2006)
Starting Bid: $125.00

Bid on this bottle of 2003 Francois Gay & Fils Corton-Renardes Grand Cru (91BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A clear and unmistakable step up in size, weight, complexity and power with the most aromatic complexity here that leads to fresh, earthy, spicy and slightly sauvage full-bodied flavors that are of obvious class and while this is not a refined wine, it is the most refined wine in the range." (04/2006)
Starting Bid: $52.00
