Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2017 Orin Swift "Mercury Head" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Mercury Head (aged for 15 months in oak, 51% new) delivers classic notes of warm cassis, plum preserves and mulberries with hints of cigar box, dried bay leaves, pencil lead and truffles. The full-bodied, densely packed, full-throttle palate has a solid structure of firm tannins and oodles for freshness supporting the muscular black fruits, finishing long and savory. (LPB)" (04/2020)
Starting Bid: $320.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Saxum "G2" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (99JD, 96VN, 94RP, 92WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2017 G2 Vineyard reminds me of a great vintage of Raymond Usseglio’s Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvée Imperiale. Flirting with perfection and one of the greatest Rhône blends I’ve tasted from California, it offers a smorgasbord of sweet black and blue fruits, crushed violets, flowery incense, and pepper." Starting Bid: $250.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot in original wood; including 1-bottle of 2017 Andremily "No. 6" Santa Barbara County Syrah (100JD, (96-98RP), 95VN) and 1-bottle of 2017 Andremily Santa Barbara County Mourvèdre (1.5L) ((97-99RP), 98JD, 94VN). Of the 2017 Andremily "No. 6" Santa Barbara County Syrah,Jeb Dunnuck writes: "The 2017 No 6 is another killer bottle of wine from Jim Binns, offering incredible richness and depth while staying light, elegant, and graceful. Stunning notes of smoked meat, cassis, black pepper, violets, bouquet garni (bay leaf, thyme), and honeysuckle all soar from the glass. These carry to a rich, powerful, perfectly balanced Syrah with awesome tannins, no hard edges, and a great, great finish." (08/2020)
Starting Bid: $260.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Scarecrow "M. Etain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94JD, 94VN, 93RP, 93WS). Vinous: "The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon M. Étain is ripe, unctuous and flashy, with exotic beauty and tons of allure. Super-ripe red cherry, kirsch, plum, rose petal, mocha and licorice all run through the 2017. This is the first vintage in which M. Étain is a Cabernet Sauvignon-based wine rather than a pure Cabernet. The 2017 is rich and fabulously lush, with superb balance and loads of appeal. It's hard to describe a $200 wine as under-the-radar or overdelivering, but M. Étain has really been impressive these last few vintages, and 2017 is no exception. Scarecrow fans will love it - of that I have no doubt. (AG)" (01/2020)
Starting Bid: $310.00

Bid on this magnum of 2017 Cayuse "Wallah Wallah Special #11" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (1.5L) (OWC - 96JD, 96RP, 95VN, 95WE) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made only in magnum, the 2017 Syrah Wallah Wallah Special #11 comes from some of the exceptional vineyards that go into making some of the bottlings for Cayuse and Horsepower. Displaying with a pale ruby-colored edge, the wine unfolds its wings in the glass showing the elegance of Pinot Noir but with the savoriness of Syrah. Elements of crushed violets, sweet raspberry, lavender and rose petal all capture the attention first before showing subtle savory notions of black pepper, crushed rock and worn leather. Medium to full-bodied, the wine is framed by a well-balanced structure, with energetic acidity and mouthwatering tannins, before ending with a long, lingering finish. A brilliant idea to only bottle in magnum, which forces you to select the appropriate time to open and consume the bottle. (RP)" (08/2020)
Starting Bid: $175.00

With a terrific sense of minerality as well as chocolaty dark fruits, tobacco, and spring flowers, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, outstanding balance, ultra-fine tannins, and a dense, concentrated, ageworthy vibe. Of the 2017 Paul Hobbs "Fraenkle Cheshier Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir,James Suckling writes: "Real fruit purity to this wine with ripe strawberries and cherries. Plenty of spice and hints of mushrooms. Full body, superb, focused fruit and pure tannins, melting into the wine. Exciting. Gorgeous now, but better in 2022." (02/2019)

Bid on this 375 ml 4-bottle lot of 2017 Ridge Vineyards "Essence - Benito Dusi Ranch" Paso Robles Late Harvest Zinfandel (375ml) (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From vines planted during prohibition, the 2017 Zinfandel Benito Dusi Ranch has a medium ruby color and very sexy nose of gravel dust, lilac and peach preserves with notes of cocoa powder, licorice, dusty earth, dried leaves with dried red cherries and raspberry preserves with an exotic spice undercurrent. The palate is medium-bodied and full of ripe fruits and spices, framed by slightly chalky tannins and juicy acidity, finishing long and layered. (EB)" (02/2020)
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this magnum of 2017 Maybach "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) ((92-94RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Displaying a deep opaque purple color, the 2017 Materium Cabernet Sauvignon has a profound, very serious nose of baked plums, blueberry pie and raisin cake with wafts of dried herbs, chargrill and tilled soil. Full-bodied, concentrated and with somewhat surprisingly plush tannins, it has a lovely burst of freshness coming through on the long, earth-laced finish. (LPB)" (07/2019)

Rita Hills Pinot Noir (96WE) and 1-bottle of 2017 Sojourn "Gap's Crown Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (94RP, 94WE, 93JD, 93JS, 92WS). Of the 2017 Sea Smoke "Southing" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir,Wine Enthusiast writes: "This monopole bottling from the coveted biodynamic vineyard begins with lush, intense and inviting aromas of dark boysenberry paste, wild mint, star anise and shaved nutmeg. The palate is bright with acidity yet redolent with dark-berry and black-currant flavors that give way to cola, mace and more exotic spices toward the finish. (MK)" (05/2020)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Cayuse "God Only Knows" Walla Walla Valley Grenache (99JD, 97JS, 95RP, 94VN, 94WE). Jeb Dunnuck: "Always in the running for one of the top Grenache outside of the South of France, the 2017 Grenache God Only Knows reveals a medium ruby/purple hue as well as a gorgeous nose of framboise, wild strawberries, sweet mulch, sappy flowers, ground pepper, and liquid violets. This carries to a medium to full-bodied, Burgundian Grenache that has a great mid-palate, an opulent, powerful yet ethereal mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a solid spine of acidity. It’s the finest vintage I’ve tasted of this cuvée, blending remarkable intensity with a sense of elegance and purity that’s something to behold. Give bottles another year or three and enjoy over the following decade." (04/2020)
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this magnum of 2017 Chimère Châteauneuf-du-Pape (1.5L) (OWC - 95JD) in original wood. Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2017 Chimère reminds me a little of the 2011 with its more elegant yet still powerful style. Beautiful notes of black cherries, blueberries, cured meats, pepper, tree bark, and new leather all emerge from the glass, followed by a rich, medium to full-bodied, tight, backward and unevolved Mourvèdre that needs forgotten for 4-5 years. As always, this cuvée is primarily Mourvèdre (it’s normally blended with Grenache and other varieties, even some white varieties) and there are a scant 100 cases made." (06/2020)
Starting Bid: $650.00

Bid on this bottle of 2017 Realm "The Absurd" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend.
Starting Bid: $545.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Alheit "Magnetic North Mountain Mastok" Chenin Blanc Citrusdal Mountain (94VN, 94WE, 91RP). Vinous: "The 2017 Magnetic North comes from ungrafted Chenin Blanc planted on red sand over red clay, matured in neutral 300-liter barrels that are 10 years old. It has a very expressive bouquet of lemon thyme, sage, broom, ground stone and just a touch of mint, all very focused and well defined. The palate is full of tension from the start and quite saline in the mouth, offering orange pith, dried mango, white pepper and a slightly ferrous note toward the finish. This feels long in the mouth, although I would be inclined to see it age in bottle for two or three years. (NM)" (08/2018)
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Viña Almaviva "Almaviva" Puente Alto Bordeaux Blend (94RP, 94VN). Vinous: "A Cabernet Sauvignon mixed with 23% Carménère, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot and 2% Merlot from Puente Alto, Maipo that spent 19 months in French barrels. Reflecting a warm, dry year, the nose presents notes of black currant and raspberry jam, black tea leaves and sweet spices with a touch of kirsch. Gentle on the palate with firm, pleasant tannins, a loose structure, bold flavor and intriguing expression. A hint of menthol makes itself felt at the back of the mouth. (JH)" (03/2020)
Starting Bid: $205.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2017 Calon-Ségur, St-Estèphe (96WE, 95DC, 95JD, 95JS, 95RP, 93VN, 93WS). Wine Enthusiast: "Fine tannins give this wine its structure and its essence. It is a wine constructed with firmness, bringing out a dry core, allied to a more velvet character. The black fruits are developing well and the ensemble of the wine will be in perfect harmony. (RV)" (03/2020)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Realm "The Bard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (96JD, 95JS, 92VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "Based mostly on Cabernet Sauvignon (87%) and a small amount of Merlot (13%), the 2017 The Bard is another ripe, sexy wine that has more sweetness of fruit than most in the vintage. Black cherries, blackberries, scorched earth, graphite, and some violets notes all dominate the nose, and it's beautifully textured and balanced on the palate. " (01/2020)
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Kosta Browne Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (93JD). Jeb Dunnuck: "Brought up mostly in stainless steel (19% in open-top oak tanks), the appellation 2017 Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills from this terrific estate is a beautiful effort. Ripe cherries, raspberries, spice box, and forest floor notes all emerge from this elegant, balanced, incredibly classic Pinot Noir that has the charm and fruit to shine today, yet the class to evolve for over a decade." (10/2019)
Starting Bid: $165.00

Bid on this magnum of 2017 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (OWC - 97JD, 97RP, 97VN, 93WS) in original wood. Vinous: "The 2017 Scarecrow Cabernet Sauvignon is stunning. Seamless on the palate, with remarkable depth and richness, the 2017 has so much to offer. Black cherry jam, blackberry, chocolate, licorice, spice and menthol build in a rich, sumptuous Cabernet Sauvignon that hits all the right notes. Best of all, the 2017 will drink well with only minimal cellaring. It is without question one of the wines of the vintage. (AG)" (01/2020)
Starting Bid: $1,150.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2017 Orin Swift "Palermo" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92WS, 90RP). Wine Spectator: "Ripe, with a bright edge to the mix of plum, loganberry and huckleberry flavors, backed by violet and anise notes and driving through the graphite-edged finish. Approachable already, but there's no rush. (JM)" (10/2020)
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this bottle of 2017 DRC Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Romanée-St-Vivant Grand Cru (97DC, 95RP, 95VN, 94BH). Decanter: "Bertrand de Villaine sometimes refers to Romanée-St-Vivant as 'monastic' and there can indeed be a taut, almost ascetic note to the wine when it’s young. This is the tightest and most focused of the 2017s, showing subtle, struck match reduction, chalky top notes and subtle whole bunch aromas of clove and aniseed. The palate is refined, refreshing and almost mouth-watering, with red cherry and wild strawberry fruit, underlying tension and wonderful length. (TA)" (01/2020)
Starting Bid: $2,000.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Domaine Henri Magnien Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Les Cazetiers" (92RP, 90VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aromas of peonies, blood orange, raspberries and red plums preface the 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetiers, a medium to full-bodied, velvety wine that's supple and textural, its powdery tannins cloaked in lively fruit. Like all these 2017s, this will be approachable young even though it has the substance to age. (WK)" (02/2020)
Starting Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2017 Bodegas El Nido "Clio" Jumilla (93RP, 93VN). Vinous: "Deep violet. Ripe cherry, cassis, candied flowers and cocoa powder on the expansive nose. Lush and appealingly sweet, offering intense dark fruit preserve, violet pastille and vanilla flavors and building spiciness. Round, even tannins frame a long, smooth finish that strongly echoes the cocoa and cherry notes. (JR)" (03/2021)
Starting Bid: $190.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Domaine Louis Jadot Santenay Blanc 1er Cru "Clos Faubard" ((90-92RP), 91DC). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Louis Jadot Santenay 1er Cru Clos Faubard (Domaine Gagey) wafts from the glass with aromas of ripe citrus fruit, candle wax and smoky new oak. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, deep and dense, with a chunky, structural profile, juicy acids and a long finish. (WK)" (01/2019)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Lail "Blueprint" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97WE, 93JD, 92JS, 91CG). Wine Enthusiast: "Made by Philippe Melka and his team, this is a grippy, earthy wine, vibrant in blue fruit, plum and sage. Round, lush and opulent on the palate, it glides seamlessly across supple, integrated tannin and oak, effortlessly incorporating 11% Merlot and 6% Petit Verdot. The vineyard sources range from the producer’s Mole Hill Estate on Howell Mountain to the cooler reaches of Coombsville. *Editors' Choice* (VB)" (07/2020)
Starting Bid: $165.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Domaine Gerard Raphet Clos-Vougeot Grand Cru. Allen Meadows writes: "Domaine Raphet is now proudly installed in brand, and actually quite flashy, new digs on the eastern side of the route national (D974). Gérard Raphet modestly explained that "we were just too cramped with our old facilities and this allows us the ability to do everything in one location." As to the 2016 and 2017 vintages, as always Raphet remains a man of few words, saying only that "they gave us relatively small harvests as the former hit us with frost and the latter with hail. For example, we did not make a Combottes in either vintage. While 2016 is more structured and should age well, 2017 is more of a vintage of pleasure that should drink well young.""
Starting Bid: $220.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 98RP, 98W&S, 97VN, 96WS, 95WE, 94CG). Jeb Dunnuck: "Pure perfection, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Monte Bello is a sensational effort from this estate that should be snatched up by drinkers and collectors. Based on 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot, and the rest Cabernet Franc that was brought up mostly in new American oak, this saturated purple-hued beauty is legendary Monte Bello in the making and has a stunning yet primordial bouquet of crème de cassis, lead pencil shavings, graphite, chocolate, and chalky minerality. Full-bodied, incredibly powerful, and one of the most concentrated versions of this cuvée ever made, it needs a solid decade of bottle age and will have 50-60 years of overall longevity." (08/2020)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97JD, 97RP, 97VN). Of the 2017 Domaine Saint-Damien "La Souteyrades" Gigondas,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "A blend of Grenache and Mourvèdre, the 2017 Gigondas les Souteyrades—from a clay-based, north-facing site—is rich and earthy, with cinnamon and cola notes accenting dark plums and black cherries. It's full-bodied and velvety, adding hints of chocolate on the long finish. (JC)" (08/2019)

Bid on this bottle of 2017 Sine Qua Non "The Gorgeous Victim" California Grenache ((98-100RP), (97-99JD), 97VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Medium garnet-purple, this young, bombastic Grenache explodes from the glass with the most incredible perfume: red roses, cinnamon stick, lilacs and crushed black cherries with chocolate box, aniseed, garrigue and dried herbs plus gentle waves of lavender, dusty soil and smoked meats. Full-bodied with an incredibly silky texture, the decadently fruited palate features amazing freshness and vibrancy, finishing with stacks of flavor layers and a provocatively savory/chewy lift coming from the use of whole cluster. Just. Magic. It is anticipated that 1225 cases and 600 magnums will be bottled. (LPB)" (06/2019)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2017 Joseph Phelps "Backus" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 96JD, 96RP, 95JS, (92-95VN), 95WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Backus Vineyard is composed of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Malbec and 4% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple colored, it needs a little coaxing before it charges out of the glass with bold expressions of crème de cassis, boysenberries and black cherry preserves plus suggestions of cast-iron pan, violets, allspice and sandalwood with a touch of fragrant earth. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is absolutely packed with muscular black fruit preserves flavors, beautifully supported by finely grained tannins and lovely freshness, finishing with loads of mineral and spice fireworks. (LPB) 96+" (10/2020)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Maybach "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (98JD, (92-94RP)). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Materium is one of the wines of the vintage and, as I wrote last year, a solid step up over the Amoenus release. Loads of liquid violets, flowery incense, sappy herbs, graphite, and assorted blue fruits all flow to a full-bodied, thrillingly textured, pure, sensationally concentrated Cabernet Sauvignon. Super rich, plush, yet flawlessly balanced, it too is going to benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and keep for two decades." (01/2020)
Starting Bid: $290.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 DuMol "Joy Road Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (95VN, 94JD, 93RP, 90WS). Vinous: "The 2017 Pinot Noir Joy Road Vineyard boasts extraordinary aromatic presence and tons of sheer sensuality. Sweet red cherry, raspberry jam, pomegranate, blood orange and mint give the Joy Road its distinctive personality. The 2017 is rich and exotic, but not at all heavy. And that is the magic of the coast. (AG)" (04/2020)
Starting Bid: $151.00

Bid on this bottle of 2017 MacDonald Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (96JD, 96WS, 95RP, 95VN). Wine Spectator: "Intense cassis and steeped cherry flavors form the core, while singed tobacco, warm loam and savory notes swirl around. In a youthful state now, wrestling with itself as warm gravel, roasted juniper and dark olive elements vie for attention. Cellaring will let this unwind fully. Leans toward the old-school side of the stylistic spectrum. (JM)" (11/2020)
Starting Bid: $360.00
