Bid on this bottle of 1995 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93WS, 90RP, 90VN). Wine Spectator: "Sleek and well-structured, with a braid of exotic smoke, currant, green olive and herbal flavors that drape together nicely, holding a tight focus and showing how ripe, supple tannins can integrate without dominating. Finishes with a dash of mocha and spice. (JL, Web-2005)"
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this bottle of 1995 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A wine of great intensity and richness, it displays classic notes of licorice, barbecue smoke, creme de cassis, cedarwood and forest floor. Full-bodied with sensational purity, a multidimensional mouthfeel and a long, voluptuous finish with no hard edges, it has only reached mid-adolescence, and has at least two decades of life ahead of it. (RP)" (11/2013)
Starting Bid: $210.00

Bid on this magnum of 1995 Altesino Brunello di Montalcino (1.5L) (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The dark ruby/purple-colored, outstanding 1995 Brunello di Montalcino offers a sensational bouquet of dried herbs, incense, licorice, and ripe, jammy strawberry, cherry, and red currant fruit. Opulent on the palate, with sweet, intense, berry fruit, this lush, ripe, evolved Brunello is ideal for drinking over the next 7-8 years. (RP)" (08/2000)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this bottle of 1995 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (98JS, 96WS, 95RP, 93ST). James Suckling: "I pulled this lone bottle out of my cellar at the last minute to remind some Italian vintners of the great quality of the 1995 Bordeaux vintage. They seem to be finally opening up! What a red with incredible depth and finesse. Cedar, cigar box and toabaaco character with currants and fresh tobacco undertones. It's full-bodied yet tight and dense. Precision. So refined and intense. Such freshness and beauty." (06/2016)
Starting Bid: $625.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1995 Harlan Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 99RP, 96ST, 96WS, 95DC) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1995 Harlan Estate is almost as perfect as the 1994. It has gotten even better in the bottle, and remains one of the most remarkable young Cabernet Sauvignons I have tasted. The wine, a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot, was aged in 100% new oak, which adds subtle pain grille/toasty scents. This opaque purple-colored Cabernet offers up a nose of smoke, coffee beans, black and blue fruits, minerals, and roasted herbs. It is extremely full-bodied, with spectacular purity, exquisite equilibrium, and a seamless personality with everything in total harmony. The finish lasts for more than 40 seconds. This extravagantly rich, profoundly complex 1995 will give its 1994 sibling a run for its money. (RP)" (12/1998)
Starting Bid: $1,700.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1995 Dunn Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The saturated black/purple-colored 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon possesses a promising yet backward nose of minerals, lead pencil, and blackberries/cassis. The wine was bottled in June, but it is showing no ill effects. This mammoth offering displays extraordinary concentration and purity, as well as a thick, unctuous texture with high tannin levels. It will evolve for 30-50 years. (RP)" (12/1998)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this bottle of 1995 Latour, Pauillac (98DC). Decanter: "Hard not to be impressed by the sheer power and muscle on display in this Latour, very much archetypal of the estate at this time, seven years into François Pinault's tenure, with the team under director Frederic Engerer (he arrived in 1995, becoming director in 1998) doing everything they could do concentrate flavours, increase precision and texture. This is beautifully layered, with truffle-laced dark chocolate, espresso, tar and tight cassis flavours and exerts a powerful grip that is clearly going nowhere over the coming decades. (JA)" (07/2020)
Starting Bid: $445.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1995 Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley is performing far better after a year of bottle age. This dark ruby/purple-colored, seductive wine offers blazingly intense aromas of cigar box, smoky oak, and jammy black currants with a hint of Provencal herbs. (RP)" (12/1998)
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this bottle of 1995 Cheval Blanc, St-Emilion (93ST, 93WS, 92RP). Wine Spectator: "Medium ruby-garnet edge. Intense aromas of plums, cherries and dark chocolate. Full-bodied and very tight, with super silky tannins and a long finish. Solid core of fruit. Still holding back. (JS)" (03/2007)
Starting Bid: $400.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1995 Château Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 92VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is another winery where the 1995 may be as strong as the 1994. The color is an opaque purple. The wine is full-bodied and powerful, with classic notes of cassis intermixed with loamy soil scents, underbrush, and spice. There is massive body and elevated, but sweet tannin that is well-integrated with the wine's other components, a blockbuster mid-palate, and a finish that lasts for 30+ seconds. Modern-day society seems to always be in search of new stars, but this winery has been a super hero for great California Cabernet Sauvignon for nearly 25 years! Montelena's Estate Cabernet Sauvignons are equivalent to buying blue chip stock. They get better and better with age and as the vertical tastings I have attended so persuasively attest, they are still relatively young wines at 20 years of age! (RP)" (12/1998)
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1995 Abreu "Madrona Ranch" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97VN, 95RP). Vinous: "David Abreu's 1995 Madrona Ranch was breathtaking. It burst from the glass with tremendous length and layers of voluptuous, ripe fruit. Though still a youngster, the 1995 was immensely enjoyable. (AG)" (02/2012)
Starting Bid: $570.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1995 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac (95JS, 95VN). Vinous: "Deep, brooding, rich aromas of blackberry, violet, milk chocolate, black pepper, cedar and incense; sexy and captivating. Bright and focused on entry, then rich, very smooth and suave, with highly concentrated flavors of red berries, dark plum, cedar and graphite. The extremely long, juicy finish features lively acids, great balance and persistent notes of underbrush and minerals. The mounting tannins coat the palate dry and are still years away from resolving fully. Harvested from September 12 through 27, which suggests that the Merlot was probably very ripe. According to Tourbier, 'We included a bit more Merlot than usual because we felt the Cabernet Sauvignon had particularly tough tannins in 1995 and we didn't want to risk making too tough or structured a wine. So we used the Merlot to soften it up a bit.' (ID)" (08/2011)
