Bid on this bottle of 1975 Pétrus, Pomerol (98RP, 97VN, 95ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the most rustic and powerful Petrus of the last 25 years, this wine still has a murky garnet/plum/purple color, a gorgeous nose of overripe black cherries, mocha, caramel, chocolate, and a hint of iron and blood. Full-bodied, super-concentrated, with massive tannin and extract, this behemoth Petrus can be enjoyed but still seems another 5-10 years away from maturity. It is certainly a 50-70 year wine, with exquisite concentration and intensity, but seemingly the rough edges will no doubt be less appealing to those looking for pure seamlessness. Perhaps that will emerge with bottle age. (RP) 98+" (01/2003)
Starting Bid: $1,430.00

Bid on this magnum of 1975 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (1.5L) (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1975 is a powerful Lafite... In most cases, it has been an outstanding wine, as the bottle tasted in December suggested. The aromatics indicate the wine is fully mature, but the tough tannin level clearly underscores the dark side of the 1975 vintage. This wine will undoubtedly last for another 30+ years... may still turn out to be an exceptional Lafite. (RP)" (02/1996)
Starting Bid: $825.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1975 Joseph Phelps Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine still gets my nod as the finest regular bottling of Cabernet Sauvignon the Joseph Phelps Winery has ever produced. Still impressively dark ruby/purple, with slight amber at the edge, the nose offers a concoction of chocolate, cedar, licorice, and black fruits. In the mouth, this full-bodied wine exhibits superb concentration, soft tannins, and plenty of length. (RP)" (04/1992)
Starting Bid: $300.00
