Bid on this bottle of 2012 M. Chapoutier "Le Méal" Ermitage Rouge (98RP, 96WS, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Showing similar to last year, the 2012 Ermitage le Meal is a blockbuster that's about as voluptuous and sexy as Hermitage gets. Loaded with cassis, black raspberry, leather, dried violets and wild herbs, this beauty is full-bodied, has tons of sweet tannin and brilliant purity of fruit. Given its wealth of material, low acidity and incredible texture, it should drink well all of its life. (JD)" (09/2015)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 E. Guigal "Ex-Voto" Hermitage Blanc (97WS, 96VN, 95RP). Wine Spectator: "This shows stunning purity and range of flavors, with blanched almond, chamomile, green fig, persimmon and apricot notes all weaving around a core of heather honey and brioche. The long finish resonates with minerality. *Collectibles* (JM)" (12/2008)
Starting Bid: $250.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Delas Frères "Les Bessards" Hermitage (97WS, 95RP, 94WE, 93ST). Wine Spectator: "Supertaut now, but loaded with racy black currant, fig and suave mocha notes, all pushed by racy tannins. This offers loads of briary grip, but it's sweet and ripe, with a minerality that blazes through on the finish. Should cruise in the cellar. (JM)" (07/2008)
Starting Bid: $200.00

Bid on this bottle of 2000 Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage (96RP, 95WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "More forward, open and textured, the 2000 Hermitage is an almost promiscuous effort that’s just hard to resist. According to Jean-Louis, this wine has never shut down and has always delivered plenty of pleasure. It has classic cassis and blackberry fruit, bacon fat, violets and herbs to go with a full-bodied, layered and seamless, if not voluptuous, style on the palate. (JD)" (08/2014)
Starting Bid: $412.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 E. Guigal "Ex-Voto" Hermitage Blanc (96RP, 96ST, 96VN, 96WS). Vinous: "Medium gold. Incredibly complex bouquet of yellow plum, dried apricot, peach, floral honey, yellow Chartreuse, blonde tobacco and anise (among other things). Deeply concentrated and almost surreal in its expression of honeyed, ripe and dried fruits; its sappy, clinging texture; and its powerful impression of extract. The endless finish is surprisingly bright, with no tiring or cloying qualities. This should be served in homeopathic doses, such is its intensity and depth of flavor. (JR)" (01/2007)
Starting Bid: $250.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 M. Chapoutier "Les Greffieux" Ermitage (97RP, 95WS, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A wine I've been lucky enough to have multiple times recently, the 2012 Ermitage les Greffieux is a full-bodied, deeply fruited, concentrated and blockbuster effort that's stays elegant, polished and balanced. Exhibiting incredible amounts of bloody meat, olive tapenade, campfire and sweet, expansive fruit, it needs 4-5 years in the cellar, and will drink nicely through 2034. (JD)" (12/2014)
Starting Bid: $80.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 E. Guigal "Ex-Voto" Hermitage Rouge (100RP, (96-97ST), 97WS, 94WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another perfect wine is the 2003 Hermitage Ex Voto and it's the most over-the-top, decadent and hedonistic Ex Voto ever produced. From Les Bessards, l'Hermite, Greffieux and les Murets and aged 4 years in 100% new French oak, it offers off-the-charts concentration and texture as well as layers of creme de cassis, smoke meats, licorice, spice-box and spring flowers. Voluptuous, sweetly fruited and yet, like all great wines, still lively, fresh and graceful. It will have half a century or more of life. (JD)" (09/2015)

Bid on this bottle of 2012 M. Chapoutier "L'Ermite" Ermitage Blanc (100RP, 98WS, 95V). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "White wine simply doesn't get any better than the 2012 Ermitage l'Ermite Blanc. A massive, concentrated, yet insanely pure and focused effort, it has an incredible bouquet (almond paste, orange rind, caramelized peach), full-bodied richness, no hard edges and finish that just won't quit. Of all the 2012 whites, this has the most minerality, purity and precision. I'd happily drink it anytime over the coming 3-4 decades. (JD)" (12/2014)
Starting Bid: $170.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Domaine des Remizières "L'Essentiel" Hermitage (98RP, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Only 3, 000 bottles of the 2003 Hermitage l’Essentiel were produced from the most concentrated, port-like, atypical, but extraordinary barrels. A remarkable black/purple color to the rim is accompanied by a wine of tremendous unctuosity, surprising minerality and definition, prodigious concentration and glycerin, and high alcohol (15.6%) for Hermitage. Representing the essence of wine, it should drink well in 3-4 years, and last for three decades or more. Once all the baby fat falls away, it should be regarded as classic, although nothing like this has ever emerged from Hermitage in any vigneron’s lifetime. (RP)" (02/2006)
Starting Bid: $200.00

Bid on this bottle of 2003 Paul Jaboulet Aîné "La Chapelle" Hermitage (96JD, 96RP, 94JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 Hermitage la Chapelle is a stunner! From a scorching-hot year that may never be repeated, this behemoth took two months to ferment dry and hit 14.1% natural alcohol. In addition, while in a big year they can produce 80, 000 to 90, 000 bottles (or more in the case of the 2000), they only made 50, 000 bottles of the '03. Locked and loaded with notions of plums, Asian spice, olive tapenade and sweet cassis, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a massive mid-palate and layers of sweet tannin. This blockbuster is guaranteed to put a smile on your face and will drink beautifully for another 15-20 years. (JD)" (09/2015)
Starting Bid: $135.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 M. Chapoutier "L'Ermite" Ermitage Blanc (100RP, 97ST, 97WS, 95WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A compelling, profoundly great wine is the 2004 Ermitage l’Ermite blanc. This is extremely limited in availability, but the light gold color offers up a liqueur of pears, wet rocks, and honey. Citrus oil, viscosity, extraordinary richness, and acidity make this wine (like all of these Ermitages, made from 100% old-vine Marsanne) just exquisite. There is nothing like these wines anywhere in the world, and the fact that the single vineyard Ermitages are aged in 100% new oak, yet show no trace of oak whatsoever is mind-boggling. This is exquisite wine that you either drink in its first 3-4 years or forget for two decades. (RP)" (04/2007)
Starting Bid: $470.00

Bid on this bottle of 2005 M. Chapoutier "L'Ermite" Ermitage Rouge (99RP, 98WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Lastly, from the very dome of the granite hill of Ermitage is the 2005 Ermitage l’Ermite. An extraordinarily powerful wine that probably needs 10-15 years in the bottle (last year I thought 20 was probably conservative), this is a 100-year wine and probably best appreciated by our descendants rather than anyone currently over the age of 30. Dense purple to the rim, with notes of crushed rock, charcoal, roasted meats, and enormous quantities of blue and black fruits, this wine is almost painfully rich and thick, with mouthsearing levels of tannin and zesty acidity. Monumental! (RP) 99+" (02/2008)
