Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2018 JCB "No. 1" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97JD, 97RP, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon coming from the west side of St. Helena, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon No. 1 had extended maceration of skins for 44 days and then was aged in French oak, 59% new. Deep garnet-purple colored, it explodes with bombastic blackberry compote, crème de cassis and boysenberries scents, followed by suggestions of cumin seed, cardamom, rosemary roasted lamb and unsmoked cigars plus a hint of pencil lead. Full-bodied, bold and decadently rich in the mouth, it delivers impactful black fruit preserves layers and loads of savory accents, supported by firm yet plush tannins and tons of freshness, finishing on a lingering earthy note. Although it delivers a hedonic experience right now, give it a good 5 years in bottle to get the wow factor and drink it over the next 20+ years. (LPB) 97+" (02/2021)
Starting Bid: $260.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Schrader "Beckstoffer Georges III" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (97JD, 96JS, 96RP, 93WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "Yields at Schrader are down a massive 50%, yet what they put in bottle is certainly brilliant. Starting with their 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard, it’s one of the plusher, more rounded, sexy wines in the lineup and is loaded with cassis and assorted blue fruits as well as notes of white flowers, violets, and tobacco. Full-bodied, concentrated, and opulent on the palate, it’s one big mouthful of pleasure bent fruit that’s hard to match in the vintage." (01/2020)
Starting Bid: $510.00

Bid on this bottle of 2018 Maybach "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 98RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2018 Materium comes from the Weitz Vineyard in Oakville and is all Cabernet Sauvignon brought up in mostly new barrels. It's a very different wine than the Amoenus release and has more elegant, seamless aromas and flavors of crème de cassis, black raspberries, tobacco leaf, flowery incense, and sandalwood. Château Margaux-like in its elegance and complexity, this brilliant wine has loads of sweet fruit, flawless integration of its tannins and acidity, flawless balance, and just a heavenly overall profile that I wish every reader could taste. This extraordinary effort can be drunk today or cellared for 30 years or more." (01/2021)
Starting Bid: $225.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Schrader "Beckstoffer Las Piedras - LPV" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98JD, 98RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Coming from the Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard, from blocks C and E that are planted to clones 337 and 4, respectively, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard Lpv has a very deep garnet-purple color and nose of crushed black berries, black currant cordial and garrigue with wafts of sage, mocha and cedar chest plus a hint of lavender. Medium to full-bodied, very firm and very tightly knit, the palate reveals great elegance and sophistication, with slowly revealing layers and a lovely minerality coming through on the long finish. (LPB) 98+" (12/2017)
Starting Bid: $540.00

Bid on this magnum of 2013 Terlato "Episode" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Even better is the 2013 Terlato Episode Proprietary Red, which exhibits plenty of licorice, underbrush, forest floor, blue and black fruits, and a lusty, medium to full-bodied, opulent mouthfeel. (RP) 92+" (10/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2018 JCB "No. 10" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98JD, 96RP, 92VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "Also all Cabernet, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon JCB #10 is slightly deeper purple-hued and offers a more blockbuster styled bouquet of blackcurrants, dark chocolate, scorched earth, and graphite, with full-bodied, richness, beautiful purity, great tannins, and a balanced, layered, age-worthy style. It needs 4-5 years of bottle age and will evolve for 30 years or more." (01/2021)
Starting Bid: $260.00

Bid on this bottle of 1974 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 97JG, 92JD). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I had this wine twice over a period of thirty days, rating it an astounding 99 and 98 points. A monumental California Cabernet Sauvignon, it appears to have approached its plateau of maturity but should easily last for 20-25 more years. There is no rust, amber, or brown to the saturated dark purple color. The spectacular, huge, Mouton-Rothschild-like nose of mint, cassis, lead pencil, and toast is remarkably youthful. Staggeringly concentrated, this full-bodied, super-rich wine possesses moderate tannin, fresh, lively acidity, and a blockbuster, rich, fleshy finish. This is a monumental effort! (RP)" (08/1994)
Starting Bid: $1,150.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97DC, 95RP, 94WS). Decanter: "A powerful wine, full of black chocolate, cocoa powder and olive paste, layers of tightly packed flavour, many consider this to be the best of the decade and it is certainly extremely powerful. Dense, smoked bacon and chocolate flavours, needs to be paired with some equally rich food, and needs to be relaxed into - definitely a wine where you need to kick your shoes off, not make any appointments for the rest of the night, and take your time. A long life ahead of it also, if you choose to wait - this would benefit from longer in bottle. (JA)" (09/2019)
Starting Bid: $600.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Schrader "Beckstoffer Las Piedras - LPV" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 98DC, 98JD). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard Lpv is very deeppurple-black in color with an incredibly perfumed nose of potpourri, lavender and red roses with hints of oolong tea, cigar boxes and fragrant earth over a black cherry, blackberry and warm plums core. Full-bodied, firm and with wonderfully ripe, grainy tannins, it delivers mouth-filling black fruits and an epically long, wonderfully fragrant finish. (LPB)" (10/2018)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2004 Turley "Library Vineyard" Napa Valley Petite Syrah ((96-98RP), 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Petite Syrah reveals a black/purple color as well as notes of graphite, smoke, blackberries, blueberries, creme de cassis, a liqueur of mineral-like intensity, and huge tannin and concentration. A meaty effort, tasting almost like a liqueur of bloody steak is the 2004 Petite Syrah Library Vineyard. This is a prodigious wine that should be purchased only by those with cold cellars and good DNA for longevity as it will all age for 40-50 years. (RP)" (12/2005)

Bid on this bottle of 1975 Joseph Phelps "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96JG, 96VN). Vinous: "These two wines from the 1970s, when Joseph Phelps was buying the fruit, make an eloquent case for the greatness of this site. The 1975 Joseph Phelps Cabernet Sauvignon Eisele Vineyard was massive, towering and a real show stopper. It boasted tons of dark fruit, plenty of supporting structure and a big, vibrant finish. (AG)" (02/2012)

Bid on this magnum of 1983 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (92VN). Vinous: "The 1983 Opus One is absolutely impeccable. Dark red cherries, plums, licorice, tobacco and leather meld together in a wine that is all about balance. Soft and engaging, the 1983 is a great choice for drinking now and over the next decade. The 1983 isn't as huge or structured as some of the other vintages in this vertical, but it is drop-dead gorgeous. Both 1982 and 1983 show the characteristics of wet vintages with large crops that resulted in somewhat compact wines. In 1983 the Cabernet Sauvignon is a bit low for the era at 80%, while the rest of the blend is composed of 13% Cabernet Franc and 7% Merlot. (AG)" (06/2013)
Starting Bid: $510.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Corra Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 93JS, 91WS, 90VN). Composed of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot, it is a sumptuous, virtually perfect expression of wine with an inky/purple color, beautiful floral aromas intermixed with sweet, pure black currants and hints of licorice as well as subtle oak. The extraordinary ripeness of the tannins, the flawless integration of acidity, tannin, wood and alcohol, the remarkable finish, and the full-bodied texture make for a tour de force in winemaking. Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this bottle of 1991 Philip Togni "Estate" Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 95JG, 92ST, 90VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1991 Cabernet Sauvignon is another upcoming re-release from the winery’s library. It is one of the most unique wines I have ever tasted from Togni. The warm year yielded an abundant crop. At the time, Togni also made a white wine. Because of the size of the crop, the harvest took longer than normal, which meant the red grapes spent a little longer on the vine than they would have otherwise. The 1991 presents an intriguing combination of raciness from the super-ripe fruit, but within the classic Togni framework. (AG)" (12/2011)
Starting Bid: $200.00

It's a powerhouse on the palate, yet stays light, graceful and beautifully balanced, with fine tannin and no sense of heaviness or rusticity. It's going to be a gem." (12/2017)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Crocker & Starr "Stone Place" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92VN). Vinous: "Good ruby-red. Lovely aromatic high notes to the aromas of dark fruits, licorice, violet, dark chocolate, leather and garrigue; pungent and Cab Franc-like. Conveys a sexy restrained sweetness nicely countered by savory soil tones. This very concentrated, fine-grained wine, the first 100% Cabernet Sauvignon vintage for this bottling, boasts juicy, nicely integrated acidity and considerable class. Deep and nearly impenetrable in the glass, the 2013 boasts off the charts dry extract and overall power. Violets, smoke, black cherries, menthol, incense, crème de cassis and dark spices are some of the many signatures that take shape in the glass. Bid on this bottle of 2013 Blackbird "Contrarian" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (92VN, 91WE). Vinous: "The 2013 Contrarian is the darkest and most massive of these wines from Blackbird. Huge swaths of tannin cut across the palate. Deep, explosive and inviting, the 2013 holds plenty of depth in its inky blue and purplish fruit, grilled herbs, mocha and chocolate. Like all of the Blackbird wines, the Contrarian is powerful and super-extracted. Accordingly, it is going to need a few years to shed some of its youthful exuberance. (AG)" (10/2015)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Schrader "Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 96VN, 95WS). Vinous: "Schrader's 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon GIII Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard bursts from the glass with explosive dark blue and black fruit, exotic spices, flowers and menthol. There is an inner energy and tension in the GIII that makes this bottling stand out. Readers will want to give the 2010 a few years in the cellar, but it is strikingly beautiful even today. Over time, as I followed it, the wine continued to open up in the glass and put on considerable weight. In 2010, the GIII is a true standout. The GIII is clone 337 from the F block. (AG)" (12/2012)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Morgado "Sage Ridge" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Kimberly Hatcher trained under Russel Bevan (Bevan Cellars) before founding her own winery in 2009. All while pursuing her day job as a San Francisco firefighter. Winery vineyard notes: "Perched high above lake Hennessey in the Napa Valley where Cabernet Sauvignon dominates this mountainous site. Aerial views of this vineyard give an insider’s look into the intricate patchwork of blocks on steep hillsides and terraces. Some vines are so close to the edge, you wonder, how will this survive? And yet, they thrive. A good part of that success is the soil, the dynamic climate, and the meticulous farming at this high elevation mountain vineyard."
Starting Bid: $190.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Schrader "Beckstoffer Las Piedras - LPV" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP, 91VN, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Schrader’s newest offering is the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard LPV, which comes from clone 337 of the Las Piedras site. This is a west side valley floor vineyard with a foundation of alluvial river pebbles and rocks as well as gravelly loam. The Schraders have a long-term lease on 5 acres, which, added to their 16 acres of Beckstoffer To Kalon and 5 acres of Beckstoffer George III, gives them some pretty serious leases on some of the finest terroirs in Napa Valley. The softest wine of this portfolio, there are 350 cases of the 2011 LPV, far less than the 600 cases produced in 2012. (RP)" (10/2013)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Ovid "Experiment No. G8.1" Napa Valley Red Blend. Ovid takes their inspiration from the its namesake poet's Metamorphoses, and the passage, quite roughly translated, "something old, something new." The "Experiments" are something different: each a never-to-be-repeated blend of Bordeaux varietals from the estate's mountain vineyard above the Napa Valley. The G8.1 is a special blend of eight lots. Winemaker Austin Peterson: "Cabernet Sauvignon speaks most loudly and clearly with bright red fruits like cherry, pomegranate, plum and pluot, and a backbone of mulberry and cassis. 2011 was a vintage that favored mountain-grown fruit like ours—this blend combines aromatic intensity, elegance and balance, and you can taste the singular place that made this wine."
Starting Bid: $225.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1976 Sterling Reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93JG). John Gilman: "The 1976 Sterling Reserve cabernet sauvignon comes in at an even thirteen percent octane and is now in its absolute apogee of peak drinkability. The color is still reasonably dark and the bouquet wafts from the glass in a beautiful blend of black cherries, cigar ash, a touch of mint, allspice, petroleum jelly, a fine base of soil tones, a deft touch of cedary new oak and just a hint of the chipotle pepper that will come with further bottle age. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, focused and beautifully resolved, with a fine core, lovely soil signature, still a touch of backend tannin and excellent length and grip on the complex and classy finish. This is really a classy bottle of mature Napa cabernet at its peak or resolution. " (07/2018)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Schrader "Beckstoffer Las Piedras - LPV" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97JS, 94RP, 94WS). James Suckling: "Amazing aromas of hot stone, iodine, black currants and blackberries. Full body, super polished tannins that highlight the dark fruits, plus white pepper, salt and fruit character. Precise and focused." (05/2016)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Bond "Quella" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97RP, 96VN, 92W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Quella performed slightly better than I predicted last year. A magical combination of blueberry liqueur intermixed with crushed rock, spring flowers (violets?), earth, pen ink and burning ember leads to a full-bodied, majestically rich wine with a multilayered texture, silky tannins and a phenomenally long finish of over 50 seconds. This sensational 2007 should drink well for 25-30+ years. (RP)" (12/2010)

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Realm "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 98JS, 97RP, 95VN, 94DC). Jeb Dunnuck: "An incredible wine that tops out on my scale, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon comes from one of the great terroirs of the world and delivers everything you could want from a Napa Cabernet! Off-the-hook notes of blackcurrants, blueberries, black cherries, violets, plums, smoke tobacco and incense all soar from the glass. It’s a massive wine, yet stays perfectly balanced and pure on the palate, with loads of tannins, no hard edges, and a blockbuster finish. It’s undeniably about as sexy as it gets, yet stays graceful and light, with an ethereal personality. Don’t miss it." (01/2019)

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2005 Turley "Hayne Vineyard" Napa Valley Zinfandel ((93-95ST), 94VN, (89-92RP)), 1-bottle of 2006 Turley "Hayne Vineyard" Napa Valley Zinfandel (95ST, (90-93RP), 92WS), and 2-bottles of 2007 Turley "Hayne Vineyard" Napa Valley Zinfandel ((90-93RP), 92VN). Of the 2005 Turley "Hayne Vineyard" Napa Valley Zinfandel, Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar writes: "Dark ruby. Very sexy but youthfully reticent aromas of peppery red fruits. Creamy-sweet but bright, with firm acids giving vinosity and lift to the crunchy red cherry and pepper flavors. A bit disturbed in its current form yet stylish, with a fine-grained texture and firm tannic spine. Should be a knockout. (ST)" (06/2007)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Schrader "Beckstoffer Las Piedras - LPV" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 97JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon LPV is from clone 337 from the Las Piedras Vineyard in St. Helena. This shows Mission Haut-Brion-like characteristics as it has in the past, with crushed rock, wet gravel, scorched earth, blackberry and blueberry fruit. It is clearly one of my favorites of this entire tasting. It has 14.5% natural alcohol and was aged in 90% new Darnajou and 10% new Taransaud barrels. This is a killer effort. (RP)" (10/2016)
