A quintessential Slovenian orange wine, the Stemberger family farms 8 hectares of local Slovenian varietals, including the rare Zelen. The two plots were planted in 1996 and 2009, respectively, and soil compositions are primarily an iron-rich terra rossa over a karst limestone bedrock (the Kras region's name actually derives from this bedrock).
