This particular wine sees 14 days of skin contact, ferments with indigenous yeasts and then spends 18 months in acacia wood before bottling. Bid on this magnum of 1989 Movia "Veliko Rosso" Red Blend Goriska Brda Slovenia (1.5L). The Movia estate has been in existence since the year 1700. It was purchased by the Kristancic family in 1820 and is currently run by Ales Kristancic who has been described by Decanter Magazine as having "the creativity of Andre Ostertag, the energy of Angelo Gaja and the dedication of Willi Brundlemayer plus inherited flair and determination." Even during the communist era, when it was nearly impossible to have a private company, Movia remained in its family's hands. In fact, it was the only estate in all of the Collio of Slovenia to be in private hands. Estate holdings include 38 acres, 20 of which are on the Italian side of the Goriska Brda (Collio). . .
