Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Peay "Les Titans" Sonoma Coast Syrah. Husband-and-wife team Nick Peay and Vanessa Wong are the people behind these elegant wines from the extreme coast of Sonoma. The Les Titans exhibits the savory notes and gracefulness associated with truly cool-climate Syrahs. From the producer: "The nose reminds us of a white pepper and nicoise olive inflected meat sauce, perhaps after braising a leg of lamb. Thyme, tarragon and sage provide an herbal edge and gives lift. The palate adds lead and graphite flavors to huckleberry and dark sour cherry fruit flavors. The wine is focused and has some texture but is not fat or heavy. The soft tannins provide delineation and structure and bode well for what will happen in the next 10-15 years in the bottle."
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 M. Chapoutier "Le Méal" Ermitage Rouge (98RP, 96WS, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Showing similar to last year, the 2012 Ermitage le Meal is a blockbuster that's about as voluptuous and sexy as Hermitage gets. Loaded with cassis, black raspberry, leather, dried violets and wild herbs, this beauty is full-bodied, has tons of sweet tannin and brilliant purity of fruit. Given its wealth of material, low acidity and incredible texture, it should drink well all of its life. (JD)" (09/2015)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 M. Chapoutier "La Mordorée" Côte-Rôtie (96JD, (95-96JS), 96WS, 95RP, 95VN). James Suckling: "A moody and dark-fruited style that has a wealth of richness with red and dark plums on offer. The palate delivers a rich, spicy and alluring array of dark plums and blackberries. Muscular tannins. From organically grown grapes." (07/2018)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Christopher Tynan "Judge Family Vineyard" Bennett Valley Syrah (98JD). Jeb Dunnuck: "Along with the 2013, the 2016 Syrah Judge Family Vineyard is up with the greats, and I’d put this up against any Syrah in California or France. Offering incredible purity of fruit as well as notes of blueberries, blackberries, crushed flowers, gamey meats, and pepper, it’s more forward and opulent than the 2015 yet has fabulous depth and concentration, ripe tannins, and a finish that won’t quit. Hats off to Tynan for another insanely good Syrah that can be drunk today or cellared for 20 years or more." (01/2020)
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Sine Qua Non "Trouver L'Arène" California Syrah (100JD, 100RP, 97VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Syrah Trouver L’Arene was made using 34% whole cluster and has a deep purple-black color with intense cassis, black plums and black cherries scents plus hints of anise, violets, sage and tar, with wafts of savory/smoked meat suggestions. Full-bodied, this voluptuous beauty is seriously singing in the mouth, belting out vibrant red and black fruit flavor layers, all framed by very fine, rounded, ripe tannins and a wonderful freshness, finishing with persistent perfumed fruit and a spring in its step. (LPB)" (09/2017)
Starting Bid: $750.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2014 Delas Frères "Francois de Tournon" St-Joseph (91RP, 91VN, 91WS). Vinous: "Deep ruby. Bright and energetic on the nose, displaying fresh dark berry and cherry scents and a hint of violet. Expansive bitter cherry and cassis flavors show good depth and become sweeter with aeration. A peppery note adds bite to the long, focused, gently tannic finish, which strongly echoes the floral note. (JR)" (04/2017)
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2019 Carlisle "Rosella's Vineyard" Santa Lucia Highlands Syrah (96JD, 96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Syrah Rosella's Vineyard is a stunning 100% Syrah made with 20% whole cluster, aged in 20% new French oak and harvested just before the 2019 Kincade fire started in Sonoma County on October 23. Opaque ruby-purple in color, its aromas are pure and defined with dark cherry fruit accented by classic notes of violet, milk chocolate and white pepper. The palate is pure, full and rounded, with juicy freshness and a long, layered, floral finish. It's a restrained, ultra-perfumed Syrah for lovers of a cooler climate expression. 302 cases were made."

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Sine Qua Non "Male" California Syrah (98RP, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Like with the 2013 Grenache, I was thrilled to be able to taste the 2013 Syrah Male again (twist my arm), and it continues to impress. Giving up fabulous blackberry, bouquet garni, peppery herbs and minerality, this full-bodied, beautifully textured, concentrated and layered Syrah has ultra-fine tannin, impeccable balance and a great finish. (JD)" (08/2016)

Bid on this bottle of 2010 Mollydooker "Velvet Glove" Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia (97JD, 97RP, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep purple-black in color, the 2010 Velvet Glove is scented of creme de cassis, blackberry cordial, dried plums with nuances of mocha, vanilla and chocolate. Very fine in the mouth, it has a nice, crisp acid backbone and medium levels of fine tannins to support all the big and rich fruit. It finishes long. Drink it from 2014 to 2026+. (LPB) " (02/2013)
Starting Bid: $130.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Kay Brothers "Amery Block 6" Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia (97RP, 92JH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet in color, the 2005 Block 6 Shiraz exudes beguiling notes of warm black cherries, raspberry preserves and Chinese dried plums with hints of fruit cake, salami, mocha and licorice. Very big, full-bodied and rich, the palate is very spicy, densely laden with dried fruits and savory flavors and structured by medium-firm grainy tannins through the long finish. (LPB)" (02/2014)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this bottle of 2005 M. Chapoutier "L'Ermite" Ermitage Rouge (99RP, 98WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Lastly, from the very dome of the granite hill of Ermitage is the 2005 Ermitage l’Ermite. An extraordinarily powerful wine that probably needs 10-15 years in the bottle (last year I thought 20 was probably conservative), this is a 100-year wine and probably best appreciated by our descendants rather than anyone currently over the age of 30. Dense purple to the rim, with notes of crushed rock, charcoal, roasted meats, and enormous quantities of blue and black fruits, this wine is almost painfully rich and thick, with mouthsearing levels of tannin and zesty acidity. Monumental! (RP) 99+" (02/2008)
Starting Bid: $170.00

Bid on this magnum of 2013 Andremily "No. 2" Santa Barbara County Syrah (1.5L) (99RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The second release from Andremily's Jim Binns, the No 2 is an utterly profound blend of 85% Syrah, 11% Mourvèdre and 4% Viognier that saw a touch of whole cluster fermentation and 23 months in 62% new French oak barrels. Its inky purple color is followed by an incredibly pure bouquet of creme de cassis, pepper, caramelized meat, violets and hints of lavender. Big, full-bodied and luxuriously textured, it has a firm, structured, concentrated mid-palate as well as ripe tannin, notable freshness and a finish that just won't quite. Give this incredibly youthful, even backwards 2013 four to five years of cellaring, and enjoy bottles over the following two decades. Hats off to the team at Andremily! (JD)" (05/2016)
Starting Bid: $260.00

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah (98VN, 97JD, 93RP, 93WS). Vinous: "Saturated violet color. Highly expressive black and blue fruit liqueur, cherry-cola, exotic spice and potpourri scents show excellent clarity and pick up vanilla and licorice accents with air. Deeply concentrated, mineral-driven blueberry, bitter cherry and fruitcake flavors are complemented by a hint of candied flowers that builds on the back half. Broad and velvety in texture, finishing with emphatic, floral- and spice-dominated persistence and polished tannins that lend subtle grip. (JR)" (02/2020)
