Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 100JD, 100JS, 99DC, 98VN, 97RP) in original wood. James Suckling: "Breathtaking aromas of blueberry, wet earth, black truffle, vine bark and lavender undertones. Full-bodied, yet tight and compressed with fabulous savory and dark fruit flavors. It lasts for minutes on the finish. The classicism in this wine is second to none. Incredible subtlety. Lovely austerity. Beauty in simplicity. Glorious to taste, yet a wine for decades ahead." (09/2016)
Starting Bid: $6,900.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2014 Sherwin Family Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (93JD). Jeb Dunnuck: "From a site on Spring Mountain and made from 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon offers a rich, powerful style (especially for a 2014) as well as classic notes of black currants, scorched earth, and chocolate. This full-bodied, deep, beautifully concentrated Cabernet needs 3-4 years of bottle age but is going to cruise for 15+ years. It’s terrific stuff." (12/2017)
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this bottle of 2004 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (100WE, 99RP, 96VN, 96WS). Wine Enthusiast: "A perfect score has to be considered in the context of its region. Shafer’s 2004 Hillside Select is tremendous as a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon that competes with its peers at the highest levels. It’s always a fabulous wine, but in warm 2004, Shafer’s amphitheater vineyard sheltered the grapes, ripening them to perfection yet protecting the “iron fist in a velvet glove” structure that André Tchelistcheff defined as Stags Leap. This 100% Cabernet is tremendous in cassis, black currant and mocha flavors, and the 100% new French oak provides perfect additions of smoke and caramel." (03/2009)
Starting Bid: $260.00

Bid on this bottle of 2005 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon CCS (14.6% alcohol and 175 cases) is absolutely out of this world. I have given more perfect scores to this cuvée than any of the other Schrader wines. Made from Clone 4 with slight additions of Clone 6 and 337, it is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, like all these wines from the Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard. This wine has a glorious nose of licorice, cedar wood, vanillin, creme de cassis, blackberry and graphite. Super-rich and velvety, with sweet, supple tannins, an opulent full-bodied mouthfeel, and a skyscraper-like finish, this prodigious wine is drinking beautifully, and just now coming into its adolescence. It should go on for another 20-25 years. (RP)" (06/2015)
Starting Bid: $400.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Jones Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The estate’s 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is more typical of the year in its blue and black fruit, violets, asphalt, graphite and pencil shavings. Here, too, there is considerable energy and pure minerality to back up the fruit. Graphite, tar and savory herbs add a measure of gravitas on the deeply resonant, pure finish. This is another fabulous, exciting wine from Jones Family. (AG)" (12/2012)
Starting Bid: $420.00

Bid on this bottle of 1973 Chappellet Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93JG, 93VN, 92RP). Vinous: "In any other setting, the 1973 Chappellet Cabernet Sauvignon would have probably shown better, but the table was full of great bottles, including the iconic 1969. On this night , the 1973 shows good balance, but it also comes across as a bit mature and dried out. (AG)" (06/2013)
Starting Bid: $230.00

Bid on this bottle of 2000 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98WE, 94DC, 93VN, 93WS, 91RP). Wine Enthusiast: "A stupendous wine that epitomizes the Harlan style of grace and power. Shows how the most elaborate vineyard and winery practices can contribute to a near-perfect wine, even in a less heralded vintage. The flavors cascade in endless tiers, black currant, cherry, mocha, Indian pudding, oak and spice, all coming together in a minute-long finish. Magnificent. *Cellar Selection*" (11/2004)
Starting Bid: $495.00

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Groth Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (94WE, 92JS). Wine Enthusiast: "Dazzling. Easily the best Groth Cabernet in many years, dry, full-bodied and crazily rich in blackberries, cherries, tobacco and new oak. The ripe, sweet fruit is held in check by brisk acidity and firm tannins, resulting in an exciting tension." (02/2012)
Starting Bid: $51.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Fairchild Estate "Sigaro Vineyard" St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon (94VN, 93RP). Vinous: "A dark, sumptuous beauty, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Sigaro has developed nicely over the last year. Savory, floral and mineral notes add nuance to the intense, racy fruit in this voluptuous Cabernet Sauvignon. A creamy, textured finish laced with hints of iron, sage and anise rounds things out beautifully. The 2012 isn't quite as explosive as it was last year most likely the result of its bottling a few months before this tasting. Drink through 2027. (AG)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this bottle of 2009 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "SLV" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93W&S, 91RP, 90CG). Wine & Spirits: "The finesse of Stags Leap District tannins is at the center of this wine, buoying pure cherry fruit from the initial scent through to a lasting finish. This is firm and vinous, with a depth and breadth that makes it a strong candidate for cellaring ten years or more. A graceful vintage of S.L.V. " (02/2013)
Starting Bid: $125.00

Bid on this bottle of 2017 Myriad "Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard - Elysian" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97JD, 94RP, 94VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "Certainly, one of the wines of the vintage, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard Elysian comes from a first growth site outside of St. Helena and is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon brought up in new barrels. It has that classic earthy, gravelly minerality that’s the hallmark of this terroir as well a full-bodied, concentrated, yet backward vibe on the palate. The tannins are sensational, it has incredible purity of fruit, and it’s packed with potential. 97+" (01/2020)
Starting Bid: $145.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Penultimate (Promontory) Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (94VN). Vinous: "The 2016 Penultimate is fascinating to taste next to its sibling, as it has all of the qualities of this great vintage - namely complexity, dimension and stature - just with less intensity. Bright saline notes give the 2016 its nervy personality, but there is plenty of finesse too. Lavender, sage, gravel and spice play off a core of dark fruit in this stylish Cabernet Sauvignon from the Promontory estate. (AG)" (01/2022)
Starting Bid: $600.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Bevan "Tin Box" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 95JD, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Tin Box Vineyard gives a very deep garnet-purple color and nose of dried herbs, red currant jelly and underbrush over a core of plum preserves, crème de cassis and fungi with a waft of mossy bark. Medium-bodied with beautiful elegance and freshness in the mouth, it has a firm backbone of grainy tannins and great freshness, finishing long and earthy. Needs time but should age fantastically! (LPB) 97+" (12/2017)
Starting Bid: $306.00

Bid on this bottle of 1997 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright ruby. Cassis, violet and lightly tarry, spicy oak. Ripe, dense and very concentrated; thick and deep. Not at all overly sweet or dominated by the wood. Has superb material and verve. Finishes very long, with thoroughly ripe tannins. The finest vintage for this wine in a long time, and one that avoids the excesses of (American) oak that have plagued so many recent vintages. (ST)" (12/2000)
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 100JS, 100RP, 100VN, 98DC, 98JD) in original wood. Vinous: "The 2016 Screaming Eagle is a positively stunning wine. An intense bouquet gives way to a wine of explosive energy and huge textural depth. Graphite, crushed rocks, menthol, sage and dark spice open up gradually in this reticent, brooding Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2016 is a towering, statuesque wine of the very highest level. That is the good news. The slightly less good news is that it will need a number of years in bottle to be at its very best. I wouldn't dream of touching a bottle anytime soon. The 2016 literally does scream, with tons of varietal Cabernet aromatics, flavors and structural drive. In a word: magnificent! (AG)" (12/2018)
Starting Bid: $7,425.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2016 Orin Swift "Mercury Head" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aged 18 months in 53% new French oak, the deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Mercury Head delivers expressive notes of blackcurrant pastilles, preserved plums and chocolate-covered cherries with hints of eucalyptus, cigar box and fragrant earth. Full-bodied with a firm frame of ripe, grainy tannins and a refreshing line, it has a fantastic core of expressive fruit, finishing long and minty. (LPB)" (01/2019)
Starting Bid: $510.00

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 98VN, 97JS, 97ST, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The prodigious 2007 Harlan Estate reminds me of a hypothetical blend of the 2002 with a touch of the controversial 1997. Dense plum/purple-colored with sweet aromas of barbecue smoke, blueberries, blackberries, cassis, licorice, hot rocks and subtle oak, it is a splendidly opulent, pure wine with a skyscraper-like texture as well as stunningly deep fruit that expands gracefully across the palate. The finish lasts nearly a full minute. Because of its overwhelming richness and sweet tannins, this brilliant wine seems to be approachable now, but I suspect further nuances and complexity will emerge after 4-5 years in the bottle. (RP)" (12/2010)
Starting Bid: $1,050.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2013 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95WS, 92JS), 1-bottle of 2014 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (91WS, 90WE), 1-bottle of 2015 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95WS), and 1-bottle of 2016 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95WS). Of the 2013 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Wine Spectator writes: "This zeroes in on a rich, hedonistic core of wild berry, blackberry, plum and currant flavors, with a graceful, elegant mouthfeel and supple, caressing tannins. The long and powerful yet refined aftertaste keeps reverberating fruit generosity while maintaining Cabernet's strength of personality. *No. 44 of the Top 100 Wines of 2016, Collectibles* (JL)" (10/2016)
Starting Bid: $811.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2013 Forman Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97VN, 96DC, 95RP, 94JS, 92JG). Vinous: "A totally dazzling wine, Ric Forman's 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is easily one of the wines of the vintage. Today, the 2013 is dense, powerful and explosive, with fabulous energy and tons of sheer intensity. Graphite, smoke, tobacco and layers of dark-fleshed fruit all open up in the glass. This is the first vintage to incorporate a dollop of Malbec. The 2013 has just been bottled. I will not be surprised at all if it merits a higher rating at some point in the future. Even better from bottle than it was from barrel, Ric Forman's 2013 is a super-classic, old-school Napa Cabernet to treasure for the next three decades. Best of all, Forman's Cabernet is probably the single greatest value in Napa Valley Cabernet. (AG) 97+" (10/2015)
Starting Bid: $350.00

Bid on this bottle of 2002 Spottswoode "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 94DC, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "In 2002 very small yields produced only about 3, 000 cases at 14.7% natural alcohol and a blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Cabernet Franc. This wine is going from strength to strength since I first tasted it prior to bottling. Now a perfect wine, the incredible perfume of blueberries, black raspberries and cassis, along with white flowers and camphor is extraordinarily fragrant and intense. That is easily matched by the magnificent full-bodied richness and compellingly layered mouthfeel of this wine that is rich, full-bodied and a still youthful vintage that remains capable of another 25-30 years of cellaring. (RP)" (08/2016)
Starting Bid: $225.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2013 Maybach "Amoenus" Calistoga Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 96DC). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Amoenus comes from a completely different terroir, a western hillside vineyard near Calistoga that averages 10-15 degrees cooler than the eastern part of the valley in what is known as the Black Mountain Gap. The wine shows incredible minerality, beautiful notes of forest floor, floral scents, blackcurrant liqueur, licorice and graphite. The wine is dense, full-bodied and seems even more backward and broodingly powerful than the Materium. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is a long-distance runner that should age beautifully for 30-40 years. (RP) 98+" (10/2015)
Starting Bid: $520.00

Bid on this bottle of 1999 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (96WE, 95VN, 95WS, 93DC, 92RP). Wine Enthusiast: "An exceptional wine. Fragrant, with plenty of plum, black cherry, cedar and spice aromas. On the palate, it’s silky smooth, elegant and fresh, yet packed with complex layers of blackberry, cassis, chocolate, coffee, anise, sage, thyme and cherry flavors. Marked by an exquisite textural elegance and harmonious balance, it displays a fine blend of firm, supple tannins and appropriate acidty that support great length on the finish." (07/2003)
Starting Bid: $725.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Robert Foley Napa Valley Claret (96RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Foley’s top wine is the inky/purple-colored 2012 Claret, a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot. It ratchets up the level of concentration, offering a big, sweet bouquet of white chocolate, smoky oak, espresso beans, licorice, forest floor, blackberries and cassis. Viscous and thick with oodles of fruit and glycerin, and a long, dense, 50-second finish, this is a killer expression of primarily Cabernet Sauvignon. (RP)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $175.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Boich "Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93JS). James Suckling: "Herbal liqueur, dried tobacco, ivy, dried lavender and blackcurrant compote. The palate's tight and nicely interwoven amidst firm, structured tannins. Full-bodied with lots of plush fruit, but it remains balanced." (05/2018)
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 100RP, 97VN, 95WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The prodigious 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, including fruit from some of the oldest Cabernet vines still in existence in Napa. This full-bodied classic displays notes of forest floor, earth, crème de cassis, blackberry liqueur, licorice and some pen ink. It is dense, full-bodied, prodigiously rich, massive in intensity, yet relatively light on its feet. This great ballerina of a wine has extraordinary ripeness but pulls back from the edge before going over the top. There are 1, 000 cases of this classic, which should age effortlessly for 30+ years. (RP)" (12/2015)
Starting Bid: $2,221.01

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot in original wood; including 1-bottle of 2013 Schrader "Beckstoffer Las Piedras - LPV" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97JS, 94RP, 94WS) and 3-bottles of 2013 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - RBS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99JS, 98RP). Of the 2013 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - RBS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, James Suckling writes: "This is shows complex aromas of chili, red tile and red currant aromas. Full-bodied, dense and powerful. It is so intense and rich yet remains agile and fresh. Austere tannins give this wine form and tension. Lively and captivating. Beautiful now but be patient. " (05/2016)
Starting Bid: $895.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Jack Quinn "Agave Rose Vineyards" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (94VN, 93RP). Vinous: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Agave Rose Vineyards from Jack Quinn is fabulous. A rich, explosive wine, the 2012 captures the essence of the year in its racy, voluptuous fruit and enveloping personality. Raspberry jam, spices, flowers and cinnamon meld into the super-expressive, pliant finish. Winemaker Benoit Touquette has done a fabulous job with the 2012. This gem is as good as it gets for the money in Napa Valley. Quite surprisingly, Jack Quinn remains a real insiders' wine, although I can't imagine that will be the case for too much longer. (AG)" (12/2014)
Starting Bid: $107.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2014 O'Shaughnessy Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 95VN, 93DC, 93JS). Vinous: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain is going to be a knock-out once it loses some baby fat and the new oak incorporates a bit more. Deep, powerful and vertical in feel, the 2014 possesses remarkable depth, intensity of color and balance. Inky, deep and creamy, with a real sense of gravitas, the 2014 is pure class through and through. (AG) 95+" (12/2016)
Starting Bid: $510.00

Bid on this bottle of 2014 The Debate "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95JD, 95JS, 94WE, 92RP). James Suckling: "A floral and flavorful To Kalon with black licorice, chili pepper and blackcurrant character. Full and tight with super polished yet chewy tannins. Flavorful finish." (12/2017)
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Spottswoode "Family Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 98JS, 95VN, 95WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "With the lowest percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon in of any of the wines from this vertical, the 2012 final blend was 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. Production across the board in 2012 was high, and reflected in the 3, 977 cases made at Spottswoode. This is a dramatic, flamboyant, modern-day version of the 2002. Dramatic blueberry, black raspberry and blackcurrant fruit, along with camphor, charcoal, white flowers and foresty notes all emerge from the impressive aromatics that soar from the glass. The intense, explosively rich, full-bodied palate is layered with beautiful purity, stunningly sweet, silky tannins and terrific presence and complexity. This is a gorgeous wine on a relatively fast evolutionary track, I suspect, but certainly it has 30 years of upside left. (RP)" (08/2016)
Starting Bid: $170.00

Bid on this bottle of 2006 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (95CG, 95JS, 94W&S, 92RP, 92WE, 91VN, 91WS). James Suckling: "Bay leaf, dark fruits, and almonds on the nose. This wine is powerful, with a full body, and with flavors of mineral, mint, and lead pencil. I'm thinking Pauillac but tasting California. A very long finish, but needs some time." (04/2011)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Anthem "Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard" St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon (94JD, 94RP, 92JS, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard is deep garnet-purple in color and reveals expressive black cherries, blackberries, and warm black currants with hunts of violets, black olives, Indian spices, and cigar box. Full-bodied, rich, powerful, the palate is filled with well-poised black fruit layers and firm, grainy tannins, matched by bold freshness and finishing long. (LPB)" (09/2019)

Bid on this bottle of 2013 Bond "Pluribus" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 99JS, 97VN, 96DC, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Pluribus is the finest wine I’ve tasted from this vineyard to date, capturing the vintage’s extraordinary purity and richness, with a multidimensional mouthfeel and incredible notes of blue and black fruits, charcoal, graphite and white flowers. This profound effort should hit its prime in another 5-10 years and evolve for 30-40 or more. (RP)" (10/2016)
Starting Bid: $500.00

Bid on this bottle of 2005 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 95WS, 94JS, 94VN, 94W&S, 93CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the world’s great wines and profound expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon, is the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select. This wine spends more than 30 months in 100% new oak, and, year in year out, has been one of the most singular and profound examples of Cabernet Sauvignon in the world. It seems Shafer began to ratchet up performance during the 1990s, and the first decade of the 21st century has provided a treasure trove of either perfect or nearly perfect wines, including the 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2007 and more recently the 2010, 2012 and, in all likelihood, the 2013. (RP)" (06/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2014 The Debate "Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95JD, 95RP, 95WE, 93JS) and 1-bottle of 2015 The Debate "Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 96JD, 95WE, 93JS). Of the 2015 The Debate "Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Very deep garnet-purple in color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Missourri Hopper is youthfully mute, offering glimpses at fresh blueberries, red and black plums and mulberries with hints of underbrush, loam, cedar and cardamom plus a touch of dark chocolate. The palate is wonderfully intense and elegant, revealing fresh berry and earth layers that are superbly supported by very ripe, fine tannins and the right amount of freshness, finishing long with mineral nuances. (LPB)" (10/2017)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Realm "The Bard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98JD, 98RP, 97JS, 95VN, 94DC, 94WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot from 21 different lots from 11 different vineyards, the 2016 The Bard is very deep purple-black in color and sashays out of the glass with strikingly beautiful violets, warm cassis, star anise and chocolate mint notes with hints of wood smoke, tobacco and kirsch, with blackberry compote at the core. Full, muscular and built like a brick house with layer upon layer of black, blue and red fruits, it finishes very long and savory. (LPB)" (10/2018)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Robert Mondavi "To Kalon Vineyard" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 95WE, 93JS, 93DC, 92W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve To Kalon is a blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot. Deep ruby/purple-colored, notes of sweet crème de cassis, blackberry, charcoal and toast are present in the subtle but intense aromatics. The wine is full-bodied and classically crafted, building incrementally on the palate and displaying full-bodied richness, sweet tannin, and a potential to age for 25-30 + years. This is a beauty. (RP)" (12/2016)
Starting Bid: $200.00

Bid on this bottle of 2017 MacDonald Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (96JD, 96WS, 95RP, 95VN). Wine Spectator: "Intense cassis and steeped cherry flavors form the core, while singed tobacco, warm loam and savory notes swirl around. In a youthful state now, wrestling with itself as warm gravel, roasted juniper and dark olive elements vie for attention. Cellaring will let this unwind fully. Leans toward the old-school side of the stylistic spectrum. (JM)" (11/2020)
Starting Bid: $415.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Continuum "Sage Mountain Vineyard" St. Helena Bordeaux Blend (100JS, 100VN, 93WS). Vinous: "The 2016 Proprietary Red Wine Sage Mountain Vineyard may very well be the single greatest vintage made here thus far. It is quite simply a stunning wine and a towering achievement from the Mondavi family. Powerful, ample and sweeping in stature, the 2016 boasts breathtaking intensity in all of its dimensions. I see the pure, vibrant fruit of the 2013, but with more finessed tannins that add to the wine's feeling of real sensuality. Bright, precise and finely sculpted with remarkable persistence and perfectly integrated tannins, the 2016 is positively stellar - not to mention one of the wines of the vintage. (AG)" (01/2020)
Starting Bid: $410.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Jones Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92VN). Vinous: "I find more depth, inner sweetness and silkiness in the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate. Sweet dark cherries, plums, savory herbs, licorice and spices are layered into the finish. (AG)" (12/2012)
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 The Debate "Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 95WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane again reveals Graves-like, smoky barbecue notes intermixed with wet stones, blueberry and blackberry fruit, a full-bodied opulence, and a sexy, lusty mouthfeel, and to me, the most complexity of any of these wines. There’s something about this vineyard that just seems to hit all the sweet spots on my palate, so I adore just about everybody’s wine that comes from this source. According to Jean Hoefliger, "Dr. Crane has the sexiness and softness of Marilyn Monroe and the eloquence of Mahatma Gandhi." (As you can imagine, Hoefliger is never short of whimsical statements.) (RP)" (10/2015)
Starting Bid: $315.76

Of the 2009 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Deep garnet in color, the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection comes wafting out of the glass with drop-dead gorgeous scents of Christmas cake, Chinese five spice, sandalwood and dried roses over a core of warm cassis, dried mulberries and stewed tea plus wafts of pencil lead and underbrush. Full-bodied, the palate is oh-so-light on its feet, featuring layers of perfumed black and red fruit preserves and an exquisitely fine-grained frame, finishing long with bags of freshness and loads of minerally sparks. (LPB)" (01/2020)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Joseph Phelps "Backus" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (96WS, 94RP). Wine Spectator: "A stylish, elegant youngster, with vivid mocha-covered raspberry, blackberry, red and black licorice flavors. Full-bodied and notably complex, tight and focused, ending with a persistent beam of flavors and firm tannins, with a dash of tobacco and cedar. (JL)" (10/2010)

Bid on this bottle of 2014 MacDonald Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (98DC, 97JD, (93-96VN)). Decanter: "A brooding and reserved bouquet of black and red cherry, rich soil tones, bitter chocolate and hints of potpourri forms the prelude to an ample, textural wine, framed by rich, silky tannins and cool acids. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Realm "Houyi Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97JD, 96RP, 94JS). Jeb Dunnuck: "From a site on Pritchard Hill farmed by David Abreu, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Houyi Vineyard is another big, opulent beauty that has terrific minerality (I wrote Graves-like in my notes) as well as loads of blackcurrant, smoked earth, graphite, and chocolate aromas and flavors. With a stacked mid-palate, sweet tannin, and an expansive, opulent personality, drink it anytime over the coming two decades. One of the most thrilling tastings I was able to do for this report, these incredible wines from Realm are made by the talented Frenchman, Benoit Touquette. These are true blockbusters, magical wines I wish every reader could taste." (12/2017)

Bid on this bottle of 2013 Hall "Exzellenz" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The last Hall wine I saw from bottle was the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Exzellenz. This hails from the foothills of Rutherford and refers to Kathryn Hall’s ambassadorship to Austria between 1997 and 2001. A prodigious wine with beautiful floral notes intermingled with blueberry, blackberry, black raspberry and graphite, the wine hits the palate with a full-bodied force, but nothing seems pushed, cloying or out of sync. Gorgeously pure blue and black fruits cascade over the palate, a full-bodied presentation with remarkable purity and complexity. The finish is a good 45-50 seconds, and while there is significant tannin, the extravagance of the fruit and glycerin generally conceal it. This is a remarkable, one-of-a-kind, world class Cabernet Sauvignon … (RP)" (12/2016)
